Negative experience: Got pierced here years ago and they put a hoop in a freshly pierced nose piercing and it got badly infected even with proper aftercare

Fantastic experience: I was just 16 years old when my mom let me get piercings for my birthday. She said only on the ears! So I got my second and third hole on my lobe done as well as my industrial. My piercer may not be in shop anymore but her name was Keisha Kashashian. She informed me that because of my ear shape and the type of piercing it being my industrial may only last about four years. I said let’s roll! I laid there for each piercing, by needle no piercing gun, listening to Biggie. I had very little pain and I healed quickly. Now I will have to inform her if I may, I still have my industrial ❤️ 12 years later and it’s one for the books! Thank you all these hears later for an amazing experience in a shop, your information, and your piercing skills.

Negative experience: I would not recommend coming here for piercings. I had my rook and tragus pierced here by THE OWNER btw. Long story short they used the wrong jewelry to pierce my ears. My rook became so infected that I had to go to another piercing place to get it taken out and even the person removing my rook was in disbelief. There was puss all over my ear and the earring. My body was literally rejecting it. As for my tragus, I’ve had it since march (almost one year) and it still irritates me, itches, goos out, I’ll be getting it removed today. Yes, the peircings here are cheap but they won’t last forever and you’ll be in pain.

Positive experience: To summarize, you shouldnt expect to get here first and be seen first because thats not how it works. I returned to get a piercing removed that I was unable to unscrew myself and I was charged for that removal.

Negative experience: I don't want to come off as an ingrate, but I'm here to decry Paramount due to the antipathy feelings I have been left with after getting piercings done here. Before walking in, I was fervid to get two piercings as a gift from my amiable sister. Due to my indulgent tendencies, I missed multiple red flags, including no anatomy check, being told I could only get a hoop for my conch piercing, and low prices. Although I'm sure they had no malevolent intention, this experience was indelible. To get to the point, I got the conch and rook piercings on my left ear. The initial piercing was okay, but after a transient joy, my ear began to swell and burgeon with an impecunious pain. The feeling left me enervated, forcing me to lie quiescent to avoid further irritation. After getting the piercings checked by Soda Pop Piercing (love them), I was told that the rook was pierced too deeply and at an angle, meaning I might have to remove it. Furthermore, the conch needed to be switched from a hoop to a stud. After the switch, my pain eased in paucities. In conclusion, I'd like to dissuade everyone from going to this prosaic place and to meticulously choose another spot. I was far from sated and now know Paramont is not safe. Don't ignore red flags, even if you tend to ingratiate with others. Side note: Anyone who's had piercing troubles after getting pierced here, you're exonerated from blame. It's most likely not your fault.

Negative experience: this is the worst place i’ve ever been to. we had to wait 4 hours on the first day and paid but didn’t even get taken in cause it was too long of a wait. and was told that we had 30 days to redeem it and would not have to do paperwork and wouldn’t have to wait next time we come back. after coming back the 2nd time she said it was already the cut off so we left. then we came back a 3rd time and was told they were gonna take us in so we waited for 3 hours but then got a call saying they have reached the cut off and they won’t even give us a refund.

Negative experience: I appreciate how quick they are, but I think the urgency affects the quality of service. I wanted a second nose piercing specifically to put a hoop in after it heals. Unfortunately, they pierced me at such an angle to where I cannot wear a hoop because it sticks out too far; it’s not flush with my skin or the hoop next to it. So now I’m stuck with wearing a stud which was not what I wanted. While quick and inexpensive piercings are convenient, they usually come at the cost of quality.

Fantastic experience: Got my industrial piercing done here and had such a great experience! The owner is incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Very professional, and my piercing healed beautifully.

Negative experience: They upcharge $20-$30 for surgical steel and the smallest gem possible studs because “hoops are their standard.” Ends up being similar to the price of any other shop. Any reputable shop will encourage you to start out with studs, due to more movement/irritation with hoops, causing prolonged healing. I’ve had 6 piercings from this shop, some great, some not so great. My helix piercing specifically, cartilage was shattered and jewelry was far too short to accommodate swelling, causing me to be in extreme pain for multiple weeks. The first time I came here, there were no issues, but the second time I was told I will no longer be accepted because my ID is cracked. It’s interesting to me how loosely they enforce this rule. Wasn’t planning on returning anyway. I don’t recommend getting pierced here.

Negative experience: It's relatively cheap. Paid for a septum for myself and got a titanium jewelry piece that was more than the actual piercing. I also paid for my friends eyebrow piercing. My experience i thought was pleasant until it ruined into a nightmare that lasted from November until last week. My septum was apparently planted wayyy too low and gave me bi weekly inflammation and severe pain throughout my nose. I cleaned it 3x daily for 8 months! Until I could no longer take it. It was to the point it was making me sick. I pulled it out a few days ago and to my suprise, all my friends were shocked at the placement of the hole and the severity of the health of my nose. My nose is now numb, which i guess is a plus?

Negative experience: I've gotten all my piercings done at Paramount and it used to be the place to go! But recently I've had a poor experience, I'm not sure why but the quality has definitely declined. Staff were short, rude, pushy, and inconsiderate. Granted, when the place is actually open, they are almost always packed. No options for appointments and poor communication leading to an unclear, long, wait time. It's impossible to actually call and get ahold of anyone, so you're forced to go to their mess of a website. I also was not aloud to bring a guest with me while being pierced. On top of that, crooked piercings and standard upcharged jewelry that will cost you more than youre expecting. My barbell fell apart not even a month after getting a piercing. Next time I'll just spend the extra money to get it done by a professional shop. Absolutely never coming here again.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place, yes it is a little bit of a process to get in and get pierced but everyone is very friendly, the vibe is great and they talk you through each step when getting pierced. Highly recommend

Positive experience: I do personally love this place I’ve only had one big issue while here. I went there a few days ago to get my noes re-pierced I did the 2 for 25$ and asked for a basic stud jewelry with a flat back. I was very precise with what I wanted and they ended up charging me 40$ and put hoops in both sides of my nose. I had my eyes closed during the piercing and was confused when I looked in the mirror and saw hoops. It’s extremely hard to keep clean and they keep moving, very disappointed. but the staff are kind and respectful I just think there was some miscommunication with the staff‍♀️

Negative experience: Buyers beware. This place will refuse to pierce you upon their humiliating judgment. Be prepared to be humiliated upon "anatomy" refusal in front of other paying customers and staff when getting a belly button piercing or any other piercing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I just got a cheek dermal, vertical labret and a nostril piercing today by nathan… by far BEST piercing experience of my life. It was very comfortable and professional. I can definitely tell he knew what he was doing. They also had a very large jewelry selection and other staff were very helpful and kind. I absolutely recommend this place! I WILL be coming back.

Negative experience: Edit: (forgot to say he let a group of 5 in right after she walked back to the car) place is really sad have gone a few times in the last few years not once have we been able to go in so we got there an hour after opening my girlfriend went to the door the guy came out really rudely after saying what do you want my girlfriend politely say what you wanted to get and he just replied with this 20 or plus people in here and then just sit there and silence in front of the door not letting her in or not even telling her she couldn't wait just making her feel really low discriminated against like I said this is not the first time and when she got back in the car she started crying cuz it's making her feel like they don't want her in there for some reason it seems they only have certain type of people they like

Fantastic experience: This is the best piercing place in Portland. I’ve had piercings done at at least 3 other places in Portland and Paramount is by far the cheapest and best place. You do have to wait which is stated clearly on their site and in the building but it’s usually pretty quick. Nathan has done 8+ different piercings on me and they’ve all healed well, looked great and never had any issues. I recommend all my friends to go here if they are getting piercings done. I have zero complaints, great place!

Fantastic experience: Been coming to Paramount for all my piercings for about 6 years! Haven’t been in a while, went yesterday with 2 of my friends and each of us got a different piercing. The vibes were amazing, all the girls who work there are so sweet and it felt like an extra special experience yesterday. One of the girls spent a bit of time with me helping me decide on jewelry for my ear flat piercing, and I’m obsessed with it!!! I wouldn’t have picked something as cute without her help . Also, one of my friend’s was shaking with nerves the whole day about getting her belly button pierced, and she said her piercer made her feel so at ease and even gave her water beforehand when she was feeling anxious. The kid working the door, who I think is the son of the owner, was so funny and made our time waiting enjoyable with magic tricks and silly banter. Can’t wait to come back for my next piercing!

Negative experience: The girls in there have really bad attitudes it’s cheap but u get what you pay for, I wanted to look at jewelry while I wait there was literally 3 people in the building not including the 3 workers and I was tld i couldn’t even browse the whole I feel the business can be ran better this will be my first and last time here IDC HOW CHEAP IT IS

Negative experience: I was the ride for some customers who ended up leaving due to the fact he came out to talk to me if they were intoxicated. It is their right to kick out anyone, however the problem is with how Nathan (or Nate) used me as an excuse instead of being a professional and referring to policy like an adult. I told him it was up to his discretion to ask them to leave and he took that as an opportunity to call my group "drunk". He then lied and said I told him this, I did not. I don't like words being put in my mouth when he could have been an adult professional about the situation. Perhaps they shouldn't have someone so young working the door, or he needs to be educated on company policies to have more confidence in his decisions. Don't use other people if you don't feel confident. Also don't complain about paperwork when during the whole time he was trying to hit on them with card games. Being in the car watching the door, I think you should also watch him with women who approach the door.

Fantastic experience: NATHAN WAS AMAZINGGGGG i was so nervous to get my belly pierced for the second time but nathan was so funny and it didn’t hurt bc i was too distracted by his jokes. overall an amazingggg experience and i only go to paramount !!

Fantastic experience: Came here to get my ears pierced because the location was near my job. the staff was super informative and nice. I did not expect the person who was going to pierce my ears to be so nice. he made sure everything was perfect and I hope they get all the business. It was good pricing and super fast!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff here is super sweet! They were able to accommodate us last minute, which I appreciate so much! They were quick to help with picking/changing jewelry for a philtrum piercing and piercing a nose. Prices are great and they have an extensive collection of jewelry! I definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: i got 5 piercings. 2 specialty ones ($50 ea), 3 standard ones (2 for $25, 1 for $15). best place i’ve gotten a piercing at. piercing took 5 minutes ish. wait was estimated 30min and ended up being 10-15min. very clean very sterile. 100/10 i got septum, outer tragus, the one above my two hoops, industrial, and a second lobe piercing (i was too lazy to remove my airpods)

Negative experience: If I could give a lower rating, I would. My boyfriend and I drove from Eugene to try a new spot to eat and get my nose and navel pierced. I tried to call ahead for more info but their answering machine says it is walk in and they don't take phone calls. 1st parking was difficult, there is almost none as the strip club next to them with the lot is full. On this peticular day it was literally pouring down rain. We found a spot after 15 mins and walked up to a locked door. Someone opened the door, and didn't even introduce herself, nothing, just had a tone of annoyance and asked "Who's getting peirced" I then said that I was and she looked at my boyfriend and said "he can't come in, only the person being pierced". NO WHERE on their website does it say this and I've never been to a place that operates like this. I was extremely nervous for my navel piercing and wanted my boyfriend to be with me. My boyfriend said okay, that's fine, you should still go. I then asked her a rough estimate of time on how long it would take based on whoever is ahead of me (because now my boyfriend has to sit and wait for however long outside I just wanted to get an estimate) she then, responds in the nastiest tone, as if I offended her, annoyed her, irritated her and said " I can't TELL YOU that because it all depends on how fast people fill out forms, pick jewelry, get through the piercing, she literally kept rambling on in this tone and I spaced out because her tone was so gross. MIND YOU, this was taking place while standing in the cold, windy, downpour. My boyfriend then, still being nice, as there was now 2 people standing behind us at the door, asked if she could put me down on the waitlist as he runs the 2 minutes to grab my ID out of the car. She said nope, won't hold a place without ID in her nasty tone, again. At that point, I just looked at my boyfriend and said we will go grab my ID out of the car, and then we just left. She was AWFUL for no reason!! I don't recommend this place at all. This is not how normal peircing shops operate. Went somewhere WAY BETTER after we left.

Fantastic experience: This place is AWESOME!! I've driven by here for years since I was a kid and had my first visit last night. I went straight after work for 4 re-piercings. When I was done, I walked right back in and got 2 more, new piercings. Reception was flawless, good customer service, and I LOVED the intake process. Admittance was granted only with valid ID at the door, the legal form was simple and quick and man, I really loved being walked to the jewelry case for my consultation and jewelry selection, she even did pre measurements. My piercer was Nate, the owner who introduced himself with a firm handshake. I was comfortable the whole time and our conversation was pleasant. Everything about this place was impressive to me and will be my regular shop now on.

Negative experience: I’ve went there for all my piercings they used to be nice. And OPEN. I read the comments about the attitudes and I experienced it not too long ago.. They’re almost never open, like do you guys like money??

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Nathan for my vertical spike piercings, and on my other ear I got a high helix. My favorite piercings so far! They were done so quickly and smooth. He got the placement down exactly how I wanted. I would definitely come here again, very legit :)

Negative experience: First having to wait to simply purchase jewelry to go! This was quite the wait before be assisted, with looking at 7/16 hoops and beads . Their inventory was inaccurate and as well as the selection of beads is poor. Not many choices in the only few different styles of beads/gem balls. The pricing is on the spendy side and the surgical steel hoops i purchased are actually a cheap material as well and did not clamp/close back up against the bead being put in them. The jewelry looks nice, but thats it! Its cheaper stuff with upper class costs. The only positive of my visit is the customer service was doing their best to accommodate the lack of selection and inventory of what i was wanting. Definitely a let down and not a recommendation.

Negative experience: You can only go inside if you’re getting services done so don’t bring friends very rude employees for no reason. After waiting 2 hours I chose my jewelry and was told I had to wait outside the building in the rain until they texted me that they were ready. This place is very stingy and no one seems like they want to be there. The only good thing is their prices and even that, the jewelry they offer to upgrade to is crazy expensive and cheap quality. I recommend spending the money to go to a better shop. This place has went so down hill the past few years

Fantastic experience: Keisha has done 7 of my piercings now and she's amazing. Quick, accurate, clean, confident, and friendly. And you can't beat the 2 for $25 price anywhere. Highly recommend paramount and especially Keisha. She did every piercing in my nose as well as my nipples. 12/10 stars

Negative experience: If I could give them a lower rating I would I cannot believe how disrespectful they were when I wanted to ask a question the owner came to assist because they couldn’t help me and when he came out I said oh goodness I have a tear in my eye from the cold and he literally slammed the door in my face I’m not sure if he heard me wrong but I tried knocking again to say hey I’m so sorry my phone and such and he wouldn’t even let me say a word and said no take ur stuff elsewhere and again slammed the door in my face. How disrespectful. I wanted to ask a few questions that is all idk y I’m being treated that way specially since they emailed us and told us different which is why we drove from Keizer I do not get why I got disrespect. I will definitely no longer send my friends here that iv sent in the past. How sad.

Fantastic experience: Paramount Tattoo is the best! I've only used their piercing service and I've always had a very positive experience. I've had an employee here give me 12 piercings over the last 10 years or so, with the most recent piercings being done by Kewi. She is quick to pierce and a total sweetheart. I felt very comfortable getting pierced by her. I've also had assistance with buying jewelry from the owner, Nate, and an employee named Una. We had a complicated issue where the piercings online that I wanted weren't actually in stock (Funny how computers are supposed to make work easier, but they love to glitch out ) and we were able to get it all figured out. I will continue to shop here for their more than reasonably priced jewelry and piercing rates. I don't think any other shop can compare with these prices Anyways, big thank you to all of the staff at Paramount Tattoo Studio! Y'all are awesome❤️

Negative experience: If I could give them a 0 I would. I came in from Texas to be pierced. Upon arrival we informed them at 12:30 pm we would be coming back for 2 persons to be pierced and a child would be with. We were told that we would be able to go back to back via calls to the car. After that all dropped and only one in our party was pierced, I asked to be accommodated for the poor communication. Nathan then comes around and starts to aggressively explain the process without understand what happen, he then accused me of being argumentative. I informed him that I would let him paint the anger narrative on me a black woman. He then take my form and refuses service. I don't recommend this place as they also have the wrong size jewelery to the one who was pierced. The quality and customer service of this place as dropped and I wouldn't recommend coming to this place where you are subject to a 6-8 hour wait. This place is horrible and it was the worst experience coming from Texas after 10 years. 0/10 do not recommend.

Negative experience: i’ve been to paramount for almost all of my piercings and everything went fine. the last time i went (about a week ago) was my last time ever going there. I got my Ashley pierced, it’s a lip piercing, they are a little difficult to heal but nothing crazy. I was pierced and sent on my way and a few days later it’s still hurting pretty bad and then the back started coming off EVERY TIME i ate anything. I went to a different shop to have them look at it and she pulled a CURVED EYEBROW BAR out of my LIP. no wonder it wasn’t healing. paramount has cheap priced piercings for a reason. go at your own risk and make sure they pierce you with a straight bar if you get your Ashely :)

Fantastic experience: My first time going here and had a great experience. The front house people are both so sweet and very polite. I was told I got lucky cause they were not busy ✨✨ Nathan did my inner angled eyebrow piercings, he’s beyond professional and respectful. He made good conversation which helped ease my nerves. He took his time lining up all spots and made some adjustments that I mentioned. (He said he would re mark me 100xs if needed). Great vibes and super sanitary highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I came with my sister and I got two helix’s done, my sister got her nose stud pierced again. We had Kiwi as a piercer and she was super cool! Realized I was getting a little hot between my piercings and let me cool down for a minute and didn’t rush me at all, and made it a super relaxing and chill experience as getting a piercing can be! 10/10 will definitely come back as we already have and will recommend her to everyone!!

Negative experience: I come here all the time for my piercings never had a problem. Recently I stopped by for some jewelry and the girl who helped me sold me all the wrong size jewelry. I trusted her to know the sizes needed for my piercings and the most frustrating part is I can’t even use the jewelry bc it doesn’t even fit after her reassurance that it was the right size.

Negative experience: EDIT: I learned that you are not supposed to get lil hoops put in fresh piercings, and that’s what they Immediatly up sold me on. I got one hoop and one stud(butterfly backing) and the hoop hurts more than the stud does. It’s very cool, clean place and I like my ear piercings! Also very affordable! They were all very nice and the actual piercing was crazy quick. The thing is the wait time. DO NOT COME ON SATURDAY. I came in at 4 and another women remarked she’d been there since 2. The process is you go to the door, if they have room you’re let in, but if they don’t you wait outside for a phone call. Also only someone getting pierced can even enter, so my ride had to go home. Then you go in, fill in the paperwork and wait more(for me it was like and hour and a half) without telling you how long you’ll wait, just how many people are in front of you. Then you pay and pick out your jewelry and tell them what kind of piercing you want, and this is the kicker, then they ask you to wait outside until you get a text. When I told them I wouldn’t do that because, I didn’t know that was a thing, had a injured ankle, and felt unsafe waiting outside in the dark for an unknown amount of time, they’re were very nice and let me stay in the lobby! Only after I assured them i wouldn’t bail though. I waited about 2 hours total. I’ve only gone on Saturday but I assume that whenever they are very busy it’s like this. My piercer was absolutely lovely and so were all the employees, I just really really did not expect to wait two hours to get my ears pierced

Fantastic experience: Just got four piercings, and what a wonderful experience! From start to finish, the staff was SO nice, walked me through the whole process! My piercer especially was absolutely amazing. Not only did he do a great job at easing any anxiety i had, he was very patient with my piercing placements, and he walked me through step by step everything he was doing, and checked in constantly to make sure I was doing alright! If I could give more than five stars, i absolutely would. Definitely coming back for any future piercings. Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: We came here today for some piercings and jewelry. Very clean and professional environment. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a huge assortment of gorgeous jewelry for all types. I was able to purchase piercing cleaner also. The prices were great. The shop was easy to find and had plenty of parking. We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with my daughter's piercings. The shop was efficient, the staff was friendly, the piercings went smoothly, and most importantly the procedure was very clean. I'm pretty sure our piercer was Keisha and she was fantastic. She was kind to my daughter and made the whole experience positive. I was a little nervous to go to this shop because of some of the reviews, but I'm glad I didn't listen to them. We would (and probably will) go back again.

Fantastic experience: I went here based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The person who helped me pick out jewelry was straightforward and answered all my questions. I got my eyebrow pierced by Kiwi who was very patient, and the piercing went quickly and easily.

Positive experience: I have mixed feelings about this place. Shop is clean, lots of jewelry selection… the location is kind of in a weird place but I got both my ears’ cartilage pierced back in February because of the specials they were running, one healed just fine, one ear still has keloids 6 months later. I even went back 2 months ago to get their opinions on what to do moving forward because I’ve never had issues with piercings before, I followed all the cleaning instructions to a T (even more so) and I politely and calmly waited over an hour and a half just to ask questions (which is fine, I didn’t want to take time away from someone else) just to find out the owner and I think, only piercer there, decided to take a lunch break and not tell anyone and made about a dozen people wait an extra hour. Numerous people kept asking why the wait and all the employees could say was “sorry”. One even said “I’m not sure what is going on”. Finally my turn came around and I was pulled into a side room with another employee so she could take photos and videos of my ear while comments like “we’re going to take photos for our ‘what NOT to do’ section of our website and portfolio” were made. I already felt a little embarrassed that I might have been doing something wrong and then to hear snide comments like that wasn’t needed. The owner cleaned my ear and basically said “keep following the cleaning instructions” and that was that. What was funny was he kept saying “whomever pierced your ears didn’t do this one at the right angle and this other one should’ve been a little higher…” when HE was in fact the one that pierced them! 2 months later I still have keloids on one ear and after going to 2 other piercers for opinions, both basically said that because of the jewelry I picked (a simple ring/hoop) that that was why it wasn’t healing properly, that a stud should have been used, and that neither of them let customers do rings/hoops for cartilage piercings until after they’re fully healed, something I wondered if this place should abide by instead of letting people pick whatever they want? Overall I didn’t have a horrible experience by any means but there were definitely a few things that could have been better and were lacking, especially the treatment of return customers. The place gives kind of a weird vibe but if you need to buy jewelry or just want your basic experience, this place does the job.

Negative experience: I got my rook piercing done here and paid an extra $30 for gold jewelry that was barely gold and super dull. After less than one day the bottom ball on the piercing came off but I couldn’t go back because I came from out of town. I figured the top one would hopefully keep it secured until I could change it out. It was healing really well until now about one month later the top ball fell out and I had to shove the bar back in. I am disappointed that the piercer did not secure the jewelry properly and even though the price is good I probably would not recommend given the jewelry was not secure and fell out.

Negative experience: I have had a few questionable experiences here now but since not being here for a few years I will say they have revamped the inside a lot. However, they have hiked the prices significantly while maintaining low quality jewelry, the wait time is insane, they do not have an operating phone number incase of emergency, which means if you do have an issue with your piercing you will be going in person and possibly be waiting up to 6 hours to be seen. I recently got a double forward facing helix and the bars were much too short and the top piercing was done crooked. By day five both piercings were sinking deep into my skin causing abrasions and leakage and if you’ve ever experienced this you’ll know removal is one of the most painful things you’ll experience's in your life. I had to get two removals and both pieces of jewelry bent during the process of being removed. 2 for 25$ sounds like a good deal but when you do the math including the prices of their low quality jewelry you’d realize you can go somewhere else with less wait time, higher quality jewelry, better customer service and get a piercing that is done well for the same amount. (The male receptionist literally asked every single black women who entered the building if her hair was real etc. ) Update: my antitragus developed a huge blood bubble on the inside of my ear and I had to remove the Jewlery

Fantastic experience: I was a little skeptical before going inside but was very happy! Many of my friends have gone here and loved it. All employees were super nice and helpful. Shop is super nice and professional. There is a huge selection of jewelry and amazing pricing. I had an awesome piercing experience with Kiwi and will definitely be back! Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Never Ever Again! If you have nothing but time on your hands and want cheap prices this is your place! 5 hours later, which was a complete joke for one piercing. I took my stepdaughter. You check in at the door, lady put us on list. I asked how long an hour? she replied probably less then that. They called her at 2 hours to come inside. We thought we were getting somewhere but nope that was just to fill out paperwork, and take payment then back out of the building. At 4 hours I went to the door to ask for an amount of time. I mean I was committed at this point we had already wasted most of our day they said it shouldnot be much longer, wouldn't let me use their restroom since I wasn't getting the piercing but technically I made the purchase, they did accept my card for payment.... and then they didn't call until 8pm which is when they close and said they tried an hour prior but had the wrong number. How did they have the wrong number if they called earlier for the paperwork, and then just called to come in at the time they were closing. They double charged her she wanted spikes for an old piercing and they gave her balls and made her pay again for the spikes. They should definitely have a better system of running a very busy business. They should be honest about the wait times.They shouldn't try to take advantage of shy teens double charges. Better communication!

Fantastic experience: I'm extremely happy with my decision to go to Paramount for my piercings. Kiwi did an incredible job on all five of them! Wendy and Arya were very welcoming and supportive. Raiza and Unah provided me with valuable information about the various types of jewelry and aftercare products. I would highly recommend Paramount to anyone looking for great staff and services.

Negative experience: I would not recommend getting pierced here. My friend got her naval pierced by the owner and he made her very uncomfortable. He was rude and disrespectful and asked her to pull her pants lower and her shirt higher to an unnecessary point. It was a terrible experience I don't even know how this guy is licensed. Save your money and go somewhere else EDIT/RESPONSE: Your response to my valid concern with your practice is proof enough that you should reconsider how you run your business. Also I don't need to be in the room for her to relay her experience with me and the fact that you only deny my being there and not the actual harassment is very telling. Keep your legal team to yourself and own up to your actions

Negative experience: I got my piercing done here. I have had 2 very different experiences here. I went there alone to get a piercing done and had no problems, the guy even said that he could remark 100 times where I want it pierced and that he works for me. Having that experience I took my girlfriend to get a piercing the next week and had a complete lack of respect given to my girlfriend, saying I'm here to take charge... (not the same I work for you attitude). He was insistent on having her bring her shirt higher then necessary and even told her to pull her pants down to the point she was distressed and felt bullied and creeped on. I would not recommend this shop for anyone wanting to get professional service. He's not nice to women, Honestly don't go here.

Fantastic experience: I saw some bad reviews on reddit and wanted to post my own experience. I thought it was great!! I got my snakebites there and the piercer got them perfectly even. The room was very clean, the selection was great, the price is AMAZING, and they healed perfectly with zero problems. Don't believe the bad reviews. I know plenty of people who have gone there and have never heard a single complaint.

Negative experience: I went a month ago and got my ear pierced with Nathan, if this is your first piercing he is not understanding and dismisses your questions and tells you to look at the website. Never was informed about what type of flat back earring that was being used and now it does not want to come out no way to get a hold of shop for any type of advice and they won’t see you unless you wait.

Positive experience: Don't let the outside and parking scare you off. The shop is clean and they are very careful to follow all of the rules. When we got to the piercing she was fast and did a great job. The shop has alot of good options.

Negative experience: Wasted half my day waiting on a piercing, they take your money first for the sale, then tell you there's 25 people in front of you. After almost 4 hours of wasting time, I was pissed, and my frustration was greeted by almost getting in a fight with the head piercer. Don't expect a pleasant experience.

Positive experience: The person piercing me was such a nice and sweet person, they did a great job on it too! But the person at the door with the red hair was extremely unwelcoming and made the experience unpleasant, everyone was nice except for them.

Negative experience: Other than the fact that the jewlery and piercings are cheap and good quality I've found every experience I've had here pretty negative. Apologies for long review but theres quite a lot to say. One of my first experiences I had there I asked the piercer to be careful with placement because I have OCD and had to get my bridge done three times so I didn't want to have to do that again. He told me "You have to remember, OCD's all in your head" as if he can speak on my mental illness. The next time I went while I was waiting I was approached and told that my piercing bump was infected and started getting questioned on how I've been taking care of it. After that I was pulled back to the other peircer, things seemed fine until I made a single mistake and they spoke to me like I was a child. After I had to ask "why are you talking to me like that?" They switched up right away (without adimiting they did something wrong or apologizing) I appreciated that they listened to me but I would have liked to be treated with respect to begin with. After the piercing went smoothly and they were being nice they told me my piercing bump wasn't infected (??) and told me I should get some emu oil that was from "idk maybe the extract from the feathers." I later found out the emu oil was not cruelty free and the people selling to me should have been informed of the product theyre selling to people. I realize I should have looked it up first but I'd prefer it if I could be correctly informed of a product they're selling. After that I messaged them asking that they correctly inform me of their products and the apologized but proceeded to blame me for not looking it up to begin with. No. I asked how it was made and was directly lied to. If they don't know about their products say "hm idk look it up" not tell me their guess. Everytime I've been pierced here the peircings have been well done (for the most part) and usually to my liking but I can say at this point it's not worth the costumer service or the long wait times.

Positive experience: They were very nice and professional, and the piercers did a great job. The 2 for 25 deal does not apply when you get titanium jewelry, making it much more spendy, which I wish was more clear on the site, as my sister and I both have a nickel allergy and have to use titanium. That's my only complaint, they did amazing, would return.

Positive experience: Got a conch, helix, and eyebrow piercing done all at once here and the pricing for what you get is amazing! Piercer was very understanding of me being a bit nervous. Only issue was they pierced my conch with a hoop before I knew what jewelry was right/wrong for piercings, and it never healed and kept getting large painful bumps . Just do your research!

Positive experience: Daughter's got their belly pierced.. the wait was about 70 mins. But most importantly they did not send them with any kind of after care cleaning supplys... and when my daughter asked what she should use to clean it they told her nothing... kinda weird and not cool. Other than that I guess they were ok

Fantastic experience: i get all my piercings i have here! Eyebrow, belly button, helix (both sides) daith(both sides) 3 nose piercings, and my septum, All turned out BEAUTIFULLY. Healed nicely and quickly, and they have amazing deals too! i 100% recommend this place, We drive from kelso to go.

Negative experience: They have a good array of jewelry at decent prices but they take a long time getting you checked in even if you’re only getting jewelry, you have to fill out a form and they copy your ID. After my name was finally called and I got to shop for the jewelry lots of things I was looking for were out of stock. Once I finally purchased my jewelry, I then had to wait another 10 minutes just to be handed the jewelry. Overall, it’s just a weird experience with the wait process and check in process.

Fantastic experience: The environment is clean, calm, and professional. The staff is beyond kind and gives a very welcoming vibe. They did an awesome job helping me pick exactly what I wanted and gave me the perfect piercing.

Fantastic experience: My experience was awesome. I have anxiety so its hard to be still but he was so good at distracting me. He made sure to tell me exactly how it was going to feel and was very comforting. Also he was very gentle and fast for all 4 piercings I got! I’m going back in a month to get another two. Husband and wife run the whole shop too! If you want a welcoming experience and a decent price this is the way to go. The only thing I would say is don’t touch your piercings

Negative experience: So frustrating! Never open anymore… had a piercing fall out after a couple weeks, and had to go to another place to get it replaced so it wouldn’t close. They didn’t have compatible jewelry, so I had to spend another $50. Was told to come get my backings minimized after the swelling goes down… but they are never open to do that. Loved the experience originally, but so disappointed in the lack of being open and the website is not helpfull with communication

Negative experience: I love getting pierced here, but it is beyond infuriating that maybe 7 out of ten times when I go there on a day they say they're open, all doors are locked. Even when I call ahead of time. I can't enjoy my experience here when my experience is calling in to make sure you're open, riding the bus and hour and a half out, and then showing up just to find every door locked and the Google information still says they're open. I've gone to your location to get My tongue(more than once), my septum, my ears, my belly button, and a few others. Ive successfully been able to actually get my tongue (the first time) and my septum pierced at your location out of all those piercings I went to your location hoping to receive. Either make it clear that your schedule is not consistent or make an effort to be conistent. Either way, this was the last straw for me and I don't think I'll be back, which is extremely frustrating as everywhere else wants to start at $140 for earlobes with the most basic jewelry. I'll have to leave Portland to even get pierced now.

Positive experience: Honestly my experience in the shop was amazing, everyone was sweet and kind. Here’s the thing though, my bridge piercing was pierced too high, and crooked. I give grace with it being crooked because I did have a facial response, but regardless the piercing was placed way too high and is practically in my eyebrows. The jewelry was significantly too large (I was never informed about issues larger jewelry could cause and discovered that on my own had to downsize to get rid of irritation bumps). The jewelry rubbed my brow bone constantly causing issues. I feel like as piercers they should’ve at least advised me to start with smaller jewelry, other shops Ive been to always recommend what jewelry to start with which is where my concern with this lies. They’re extremely kind, and affordable, just go in educated and advocate for your piercing placement if you think it may be wrong, because that’s where I personally went wrong at this place. Id get pierced here again, just not something as focal as a bridge piercing.

Positive experience: i got snakebites like 5 days ago, and i just want to say, everybody there was so nice! the piercing itself was super quick and painless, and kewi uses a great technique! the jewelry is good quality and everything, but there is just one thing preventing me from going to five stars. when i was picking out my jewelry, i had 3 options. horseshoe ring, hoop, and regular stud. i asked if rings/hoops affect the healing process, and they said no, so i chose the horseshoe rings. upon doing further research (through the internet and calling other piercers in the area), i found that studs are really what's best for snakebites, and with rings and hoops you have a much higher chance of piercing bumps and infections. i should've gone with the studs so it is entirely on me that my piercings aren't healing correctly, but i do wish they would've told me that studs are the best for healing. so yes, do your research before you go, and choose the jewelry that will actually work the best for your piercing(s). if you do that, this place will absolutely give you a great piercing :)

Negative experience: Absolute awful experience The staff was nice but other factors made it so I would never go near this place again. I went there for their walk in piercing time and they said that I couldn't come in because I had a kid with me mind you my son was in the stroller and wasn't going to get out so there's no reason that it should have been a problem. I have not ever been to a tattoo or piercing place that cared about the fact that my child was with me. The area around the shop is also super sketchy and it smells awful. 100% would never go back here. I ended up going to a place called Multnomah body piercing and had an amazing experience and they had no issue with my son being with me I'd recommend that place over this place any day.

Fantastic experience: Super great staff but be advised that because of their excellent pricing, there is high demand. Get there early and plan on killing time while you wait. Also be prepared for two waits: the first to get in the building to fill out paperwork and pick out jewelry, the second after you pay for the service and jewelry while you wait to be pierced. The piercer was polite, professional and quick.

Positive experience: The gal with the dark hair and knee tattoos that was opening the door for people on the 1st of this month has a lot of growing to do when it comes to customer service. She was very rude to multiple customers and had an attitude. Shes young and so I get it but at the same time there needs to be better training there I think. But every one else that was working that day had excellent customer service, there was a little bit of a wait for our piercings but it was so worth it. Kiwi is very good at what she does and made me feel very comfortable. I already have been recommending this place to others.

Negative experience: This place is good for price and that’s about it. Got here at 1:30pm to get my daughters nosed pierced. It’s now 6:03pm and we are still waiting to be called back after already being called inside to fill out paperwork and pick out jewelry. Then sent back outside to wait. So come here if you don’t mind spending all day to get your piercing .

Fantastic experience: Such good work. Went here on Dec, 6th. Got two piercings. Very reasonable price. Great atmosphere a.d amazing people. They get super busy but never a long wait. It took maybe 3 minutes once in the room to get them done. I will definitely go back. I've had a total of 4 piercings done. Love their work. The did Mt Helix and Nostril this time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so freaking nice. From the moment I got there to days later going back for my lost ID, that I forgot. I had my nipples pierced years ago and the person messed them up, I finally decided to have them done again and the comfort I was given was amazing. The piercing hurt like a normal one and was so fast. By the next day I was feel good and two days later I don’t notice them at all! Amazing!! I did start to faint and the piercer had me sit down, they brought me water and a piece of candy lol. She kept me talking to make sure I’d stay upright. The adrenaline rush and crash are bad. I went and sat in the waiting area and talked with people till I felt good to leave. Literally everyone was so so amazing. Funny people. I went in today three days later and the moment she opened the door she recognized me and I got ID. It was my first time there and I think everyone should go here for body mods. I have many tattoos and piercings done over my life time, I wish they would’ve all been done here.

Negative experience: Please please do research before going into this place. I have been a customer since 2016. I originally continued to go to this place because it's affordable. I was aware of the jewelry not being the best but still chose to go. My thought process was as long as I was aware and got pierced I'll just switch out my jewelry once its healed to better jewelry. They have been changing a bit since 2020 and had thought maybe they finally got good grade jewelry. Please do not believe them when upgrading to titanium because what they have is still low quality jewelry. Please look at all the other low rating reviews because there are horrific stories of them taking advantage of their customers by feeding them misinformation. Also definitely red flag when a piercing shop is walk ins only. Most professional piercing shops run their business by appointments. Trust me it is more cheaper to go into a high quality piercing shop than it is here. It may not seem that way. But it will only be more expensive to spend time here coming in and out having problems with healing process because they will rope you into either spending more on low quality jewelry or give you misinformation about how to heal your piercings. (Fyi do not put tea tree oil on irritated bumps it will only get worse). This review is no hate to the piercers given I do understand they believe the misinformation they have been taught. But please do not continue to support this business. The owner cuts corners and do not care about the quality.

Fantastic experience: The line at just before noon was really long (almost 30 people). I was hesitant, but their system is organized and painless, if you don't mind the wait! After your name is on the list, they text you to pop in and do paperwork, then text when you're up to get pierced! (Took 3.5 hours in total. Our daughters Got a nose piercing and tongue) Every single Employee we encountered, was very nice! The 2 ladies dealing with paperwork were great! The Piercer Kiwi was Awesome! She was Knowledgeable, patient and fast! We'll be back. :)

Negative experience: Wish I could review the actual quality of the service but having waited for 3 hours after being told 30-40 minutes, I’m now going home without a piercing. I also drove an hour to get to this place as I came from Beaverton because I heard great things. So what a waste of an entire day and gas. My advice, Make sure you block out 8 hours if you plan to use this place. They will waste your time and not communicate with you while doing it. Every time I walked inside to ask for an update, I was abruptly greeted with “have you received your text? If not, go back outside.” FYI: they do not allow anyone to wait inside with you unless they are getting serviced also. My significant other had to spend 3 hours sitting in the car. So, to recap, don’t bring anyone with you and don’t expect any updates or communication, and take the entire day off to wait. Had I known all of these things, I would have been prepared.

Negative experience: I went here based on the inexpensive price and word of mouth recommendations, and I would never come back. I received 4 piercings here, and I purchased “surgical/implant grade steel” for the piercings. I got them in May 2022, and 7 months later, they haven’t healed properly. I went to Robot Piercing on 23rd, and they recognized that my irritated piercings were a cheap material used to cut corners (not steel!). This was really disappointing to find out, and I would recommend going elsewhere for piercings! It’s not worth the hassle. I had to buy new piercings and am still dealing with a long recovery time. I also got my fourths and as soon as I took out the cheap metal, 7 months post piercing, they closed up, out of irritatation;/

Negative experience: Over 2 hr wait. Bring you in, send you out, bring you in, wait 20 more minutes THEN AFTER 2 AND 1/2 HOURS I WAS ASKED TO GIVE UP MY SEAT FOR A NEW CUSTOMER. then stood on side while 4 chairs were open. Going on 3 hrs. Pay the extra!!! Its worth 3 hours of your life to go elsewhere.

Negative experience: We are suing this place. My girlfriend got a piercing months ago at this place and it was nastily infected. We came back to get it removed, and one guy delivered a form in which stated that in case of any sue, the costumer has to pay all lawyer expenses. She didn’t notice it, and signed it off and right away the form was taken away from her. She asked to get it back as she decided to go to another place to get the piercing removed but the owner or I don’t know who guy was that, denied to give it back which is a clear violation of costumers right! Practically they are protecting themselves from bad procedures that are practicing here. After I got back to claim the form, they said they now own the form and they can’t not get it back to us, which is also a violation of costumer protection by the Bureau of Costumer Protection and the Department of Justice. They are afraid of us, so they asked us to leave the property (pretty much they kicked us) and closed the door to our faces! They are scared of this, and they should! As everything is on own favor!

Fantastic experience: Great spot to get a relatively cheap piercing. I got my septum done I was in and out in a little under 30 minutes. All of the staff was friendly and took time to explain what was happening. Overall a great environment and they did a wonderful job!

Negative experience: I really wanted to like this place, I heard a lot of good things about it. Unfortunately, after letting my bridge heal a good amount, I can tell it's lopsided. Kiwi was my piercer, and along with that I talked to someone else pierced by her- they said she pierced through their cartilage when piercing their septum. I just wanted to add this to the reviews so people have this to consider. I'm really disappointed with my bridge piercing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gone here twice now and I get kinda nervous but all the staff are so kind, I’ve had 5 piercings from Kiwi Graffiti. She is so dope and precise with her piercings. Definitely would recommend to a friend!

Fantastic experience: They have great deals! very clean and the piercing part is quick! The only thing is that with their affordable prices comes long wait time so expect to wait a bit. Its super easy to get set up. They have a good system in place very organized to get you in and out as quick as possible.

Negative experience: I wish I could leave a -5 star review. I got my eyebrow pierced in APRIL at paramount and I’ve been dealing with TERRIBLE problems ever since. Do not get pierced here!! They say there surgical grade jewelry is safe but I had a reaction to there metal the entire time and went back TWICE seeking help because I didn’t know that I should’ve went somewhere else to begin with. Not only did they tell me my eyebrow was just irritated every time I went in and they even put a new bar in of the same metal as before and then it got worse…. Also didn’t mention she completely placed it far too low for my face. You’d think you would know what an allergic reaction or an infection looks like as a professional piercer…? Anyways now it’s August and after multiple doctor visits have come to find I was infected but also was having an allergic reaction. Now my eyebrow looks TERRIBLE. I really would not go here for anything. You should just spend the extra money somewhere that has legit jewelry and also takes time to place things properly… and can tell what is happening with a piercing when looking at it.

Fantastic experience: I will only go to this shop for piercings. The price being right is just the tip of the awesomeness iceberg. The door and counter staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The piercers themselves are very, very skilled and you can tell they enjoy doing what they do. I enjoy coming here because the staff mirror you're excited energy and are also very reassuring and thorough with explanations when nerves are something you are trying to tackle. I couldn't give a higher recommendation for a piercing or tattoo parlor!

Fantastic experience: Freaking love this place. The cute girl who pierced me with pink hair was so awesome! Loved her energy and look I'd never go anywhere else. Fantastic experience: My lovely Granddaughter and I received excellent service. We both got our noses pierced. I do suggest planning to getting in line an hour before they open and set aside a few hours to be there due to the process of paperwork etc. everything is super legit, clean and they strictly follow the rules.

Fantastic experience: We arrived a little before they opened on a weekday and were 2nd in line so it did not take long to get in. The prices were very reasonable. Nathan performed 2 piercings for my teen and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and precise. Overall it was a great experience. We will certainly be coming back when my teen is ready for more piercings.

Positive experience: Visiting from Washington. Needed something different. They have the best deals in Portland hands down, I looked at other locations charging $45 for a nose piercing. Huh? I did Paramounts 2 for $25 and got a total of 4 piercings for $60 (got a special jewelry for my nose) . While the wait was a bit long. The process is you come in, give them your ID. They scan it and have you sign some papers. You sit down and wait, they call you back to pick out some jewelry. Then you leave and wait for a text. Took about 45-90 minutes for them to text me but they did and I came back and got into line. I had Kiwi, she was super nice quick and supportive. Gave me words of encouragement only thing I did not like was that I could not record my session. That’s something I’ve never heard of and I mean I guess it’s her choice but I also paid for a service and I tipped her over an hour of minimum wage for a 10-15 minute process I feeel the least I could’ve done was be able to record it but hey. Other than that my process and experience was simple , efficient and amazing . Happy with my purchase. 9/10 would suggest. UPDATE: As my piercings begin to heal I’m noticing how truly crooked my nipple piercing is. The large jewelry made it look like it wasn’t at first but as I can see the entrance and exit could not be further apart. Gonna have to go to 8/10 and take a star off.

Fantastic experience: I went in on a Saturday for a walk in on their busiest day took roughly 2.5 hours to get in an get done, the people were nice and efficient. The older gentlemen was kind and informative, the young man at the door was kind and entertaining. The short girl (mom of the door man) was also kind and fun. And my piercer was amazing, kind, informative, and helped relieve any anxiety I had. I had a great time, the wait wasn't bad at all for a walk in piercing on a weekend and I will be back
