Fantastic experience: Went in for an anatomy consultation with Amy and an eyebrow piercing with Pat and both were an awesome experience! They were super honest about anatomy and previous scarring being the reason I shouldn't get a couple of the piercings I wanted and although I was bummed, I'm ultimately super thankful they were honest and clearly want the best longevity for any piercing they do. I'll absolutely be back when I'm ready for my next piercing!

Negative experience: When I got my ears pierced at Twisted Images when I was 14 and 17, I had the best care possible. I got my first ear and my double piercings there. I had such good service that when I turned 18, I wanted to get my first tattoo there. I loved the atmosphere of the place and everything. It was perfect. When I went to get my tattoo, I was faced with rudeness and standoffish behavior. It was probably the worst 3 hours of my life, and it wasn't because of pain. My tattoo artist made fun of my future profession (I'm in school for marketing and communications for social media strategy). Said comments such as "AI will take over your job." "That's not even a profession anymore." This was back in August, but I recently got my tattoo touched up and was faced with the same rudeness and standoffish attitude. Which I feel is unacceptable. I even took a guest with me the second time, who has had multiple tattoos, just to observe. He said I should switch tattoo artists immediately... On the bright side, my tattoo is BEAUTIFUL, and I am glad I got it. But I wouldn't recommend going here for a tattoo; there are definitely much better artists with much more respect and kindness out there in Louisville. (For a lower price too...) A tattoo artist should be welcoming and kind. The customer service I had for my FIRST tattoo was AWFUL. Twisted Images is only good for piercings. Don't go for tattoos.

Fantastic experience: The entire team at Twisted is truly stellar, and helpful across the board. Tori did my piercings, and ever since I got my ears pierced they have been immensely helpful. From fitting me in on short notice when a piercing got badly inflamed, to helping me replace a lost piercing months after I received them. Tori has provided stellar service that I would happily recommend any and all to go to Twisted Images!

Fantastic experience: They did an amazing job with my 9 year old daughter. Everything was well sanitized and they triple checked everything before piercing. My daughter loves her earrings. She’s not had any redness or irritation with healing. Great experience.

Fantastic experience: Hand down or up or side to side this place I give 10000 stars if google would let me. Pat was amazing and so gentle and sweet and caring about my nose piercing. He explained everything in full to me from health care piercing care to aftercare and etc. their shop is like walking into an old school mansion that is absolutely stunning and beautiful and clean. If you want piercings done this is the shop to go to.

Pat walked me through the whole process, and I felt super comfortable throughout! You absolutely get the quality of service that you pay for, and it was so worth it to me. Fantastic experience: My experience with Twisted Images has been phenomenal. The entire staff is incredibly personable and professional. I specifically used them because they had several APP certified Piercers. I was so lucky to get to have Amy perform my body art. She walked me through jewelry sizing/fitment and healing process and after care. She made sure that everything was as I wanted, based off her professional opinion of course. HIGHLY recommend. Wonderful experience through and through.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience with Amy at Twisted! From the get-go it was totally seamless and very comfortable. Amy went out of her way to make conversation, and ease any worries I had as this was my first piercing. She walked me through the entire process of sanitizing the jewelry, and explained the machine to me. She also explained all the aftercare procedures very well, and was incredibly detail oriented in every aspect. Her humor is top notch as well. After she finished and was cleaning up, she gave me and my friend some recommendations on what to do this weekend, as neither of us are from the area. Totally unnecessary but very much appreciated and I am excited to try out a few of the places she said to go. Even though I live four hours away, I will absolutely be back from time to time in order to visit Twisted Thank you Amy for making the experience amazing! And to Molly as well, thanks for everything at the front desk. You both are AWESOME!

Fantastic experience: The entire team at Twisted Images is absolutely amazing. Amy, especially, recently went above and beyond for me. She was so accommodating and helped me get my piercings out to be prepped for surgery! She even was able to stay a little late post closing to help me out. It meant a lot and shows how much she absolutely supports the community. <3

Fantastic experience: I went and got my ear lobes pierced with Pat and it was a great experience. I haven't had my ears pierced since I was a little girl due to a nickel allergy, but I recently did some research on different metals and found out that implant grade titanium could probably work for me (I tried surgical stainless steel on other body piercings in the past and learned that it can contain trace amounts of nickel after the piercings got infected). Twisted has all implant grade titanium jewelry and they have a huge selection. Pat was super knowledgeable and informative on the type of earring that would be best, and made me feel comfortable that the probability of my body rejecting these piercings is very low. He showed me the sterilization test strip after the instruments were in the sterilization machine so I felt safe. The piercing itself only hurt a little and went super quick, with Pat guiding me through the breathing. He explained the healing process in depth letting me know the best way to clean it, things to avoid, and what to look for that could be cause for concern. I definitely recommend Twisted for any piercing needs, including kiddos. If all goes well, I will definitely be back for more piercings in the future!

Fantastic experience: Pat was super nice and super educated. Went to him with my upset piercing and he made me feel calm and help changed my piercing and already have so much relief. Hopefully it gets better and so wish I went here first. Ty!

When we had an issue due to no fault of them - they were super responsive and fixed it the same day. We are 6 months since her piercing and they have healed perfectly. Fantastic experience: Best piercing experience for a minor. Highly recommend taking your child here for ear piercing! Amy was fantastic! She sat on the floor with my great niece and explained the piercing process and aftercare with her directly. All that info was in an e-mail with her dad but she made sure my g. niece understood as well and still wanted to get her ears pierced. Amy had a colleague with her to perform a “dual piercing” so the process was fast and easy. Her colleague was amazing as well. They were both so kind to her and when she got nervous before they were going to pierce, they let her dad come over to hold her hand, gave her a moment to breathe and calm down…they were so patient and professional. She picked out her earrings and was so thrilled with the results. She had been asking for 3 years to get her ears pierced but it just wasn’t okay until we found the right place and we sure found it! Can’t say enough about Amy. Thank you so very much for making this such an incredible experience for her and us!

Fantastic experience: I had done tons of research online on who was the best septum piercer anywhere around here and by far, as far back as 12 years, everyone was saying Amy at Twisted Images. I can definitely attest to it! I was super nervous- like, I came with a huge list of questions on my phone- but she was so nice and totally calmed my nerves about it, and answered all my silly questions. She told me everything she was doing every step of the way, including the sanitary/sterilization side of it, so I was 100% comfortable and confident that everything was clean and safe. She got it in the perfect spot- it didn't hurt at all when she pierced it, and it looks fantastic. She's really reliable as well- I had some issues with irritation later on and wanted to get looked at, and she made sure to get me in and make sure I was feeling better. She's genuinely a really sweet person, and a fantastic piercer. I truly can't recommend her enough.

Fantastic experience: On 2 separate occasions I’ve come to Twisted for help with upset piercings or just with questions and Amy is a WIZARD! She has that cool Aunt vibe that makes you feel immediately comfortable and safe. Today I went in concerned about my newest piercings (done elsewhere) and Her apprentice, Tori took a look at them. They also were extremely knowledgeable and kind. The both of them put my mind at ease and answered my questions at no cost and even offered healing tips. Thank you both for being so sweet!

Fantastic experience: This review is for the shops piercing apprentice, Tori aka Piercing Bug. She was very accommodating, kind, and reassuring. I had the honor of being her first conch piercing! It was a pleasant experience and also special since she’s still learning under Amy (the head piercer). Not only did I get a nice new piercing but learned a little bit about the process along with her while Amy was there with us. I highly recommend booking with Tori if you’re interested in a unique piercing experience and meeting an all around wonderful person!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at twisted images. Pat was a pro, and walked me through maintenance and care for my piercings. They have jewelry there to choose from: a selection of titanium, 14 k gold, white gold. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or family member. The piercing is located on the first floor, separate from the tattoo section. Street parking.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had several piercings here as well as brought my son and nieces for piercings. Between us we’ve had helix, tragus, nostril, and lobes. Each was great. They also helped me when a piercing I’d had done elsewhere that wasn’t healing well. They are the best, I will not go anywhere else. They are experts and passionate about good piercing practices. They are also very nice and have excellent customer service.

Fantastic experience: I decided to give my second earlobe piercing a second chance after getting it pierced at Claire’s when I was a teenager. It never healed and I gave up on it. I recently got an itch to get it redone by a professional piercer. Thankfully, I found twisted images! Pat was amazing. He was super informative and could tell where the scar tissue was from my previous piercings. He was meticulous and pierced them in the perfect spot. 3 months later and I’ve had 0 problems! I’m now ready to get my 3rd earlobe piercing done. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I went in to have my lip re pierced after having it out for a few years. I really wanted specific jewelry, but with this type of piercing it gets tricky. Pat was amazing and took his time to make sure I was comfortable. I was even able to get exactly what I wanted safely lol. From now on I am never going anywhere else. I will be back to get my rings switched out to posts.

Gonna be honest I’m a whimp, he made things so smooth :) I’ll Be back in a couple days to get my Medusa piercing with him! They also use very good quality jewelry. Negative experience: They don't allow grace period on some of the piercings, which is completely unfair since they state they don't on the website. And their located in bardstown, they could stand to be more understanding

Fantastic experience: This was my second piercing from here (and my first from Pat). My first piercing went incredible and I'd never think of going anywhere else. It is the cleanest, friendliest, most professional experience one could ever ask for. This time, I went in to get a helix piercing, but Pat told me a lot of care information I didn't know and wasn't prepared for so I ended up leaving with a second lobe piercing (which looks super cute). I really admire how thorough and caring Pat was and the shop's incredible follow-up. My piercing (only two weeks out) has healed so well! I am excited to get my helix pierced there some time this year now that I'm prepared for the care!

Fantastic experience: Amy is not only talented at what she does, but answers all questions so throughly that you feel at ease during the appointment. I have random metal allergies, and she always helps me pick out the best jewelry. The last piercing I got, I had been warned by friends it hurt so much, but because of how brilliant and amazing Amy is, she made it so much more painless than it could have been. Fantastic experience: I won’t trust anyone but Twisted Images with my piercings! They are kind, professional and experts at what they do. Amy patiently walked me through my first nostril piercing, which I very much appreciated. It was such a great experience! Negative experience: Well I showed up within a half hour of close I only wanted to purchase a replacement tongue ring. The lady turned me away saying they were to close to close and there was no one available to make my transaction. It was immediately apparent she just didn't want to ring up a 15$ sale that would take two mins. I work a restaurant and have bean in retail there is never a excuse to turn a customer away before close. Or else u are infact already closed in witch case a just your hours or stop letting you employees ride the clock and lose you costumers I will never be back because of the lazy employe , when your already a hole in the wall you don't turn people away.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the *only* place I'll go to get pierced and the *only* place I'll trust to handle my old piercings. Especially Amy, she's my go-to because she's so incredibly informative and straightforward, but also keeps the mood light and really knows what she's doing. The shop always looks great, the art is really rad and the shop itself is kept really clean and organized. Literally just love everything about this place.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten my nose and ears pierced here those services being about about two years apart. In both experiences I’ve had the best time. The staff are the kindest people I’ve ever met. The place is so clean and well run. The staff is informative, patient and love what they do! I can’t recommend this place enough. About six months after my nose piercing I had an issue and a staff member waited after hours for me to drive in and help me replace my piercing so it wouldn’t close up over night! Don’t go anywhere else, this is the best place!

Fantastic experience: Only place I'll get piercings ever again. Please everyone needs to forget about going to Claire's and go to an actual piercing parlor. It's worth it. Everyone was so kind and patient with me. Exceptionally professional and clean, explaining everything step by step and provided materials for aftercare. They also work well with kids. There were two young girls with their parents there getting their first piercings for the first time and the staff was so sweet and even had stuffed animals provided to help comfort them. Probably going to be going back for more here in a few weeks. Cannot recommend more.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the pleasure of being pierced several times by both Amy and Pat. Each time the piercing has ended up as close to perfect as humanly possible. Everyone that works there is down to earth, funny, and they’re great people. They make you feel welcome, and waiting a few moments after arriving early is totally worth it as long as I live in Louisville, I won’t go anywhere else for a piercing.

Negative experience: I just arrived at 12:50 for a 1:00 appointment. The sign on the store says call to get in. I called and I was chastised for arriving too early and made to wait outside. I left. It’s insulting to not be allowed inside. This was my 2nd time going there. The first time people were being allowed to wait inside. They claim it’s policy but it’s not enforced equally.

Negative experience: So sad. I went to Twisted Images to have 5 piercings from Pat. I had three helix, a conch, and a tragus. I even recommended him to my sister in law for a nose piercing. The price is high but I thought the quality was worth it. Well, I’ve been having an issue with my conch piercing and was headed Pat’s way to have it looked at. Due to traffic I called to let him know I would be 10 minutes late, 15 tops. They basically said to reschedule. I live 30-45 minutes away in Crestwood, so I was bummed. I called to speak with Pat about this and he basically said to reschedule and hung up. Super sad about the money I’ve spent here to be met with such sad customer service.

Positive experience: I usually go to Tattoo Charlie's because they are Very sanitary. With the earrings, they sanitize the earrings and my ear before placing jewelry back in it. Buuuut, I lost an earring and needed a replacement before my hole closed up and had to go somewhere who was open, which was this place Twisted Images. I didn't like that they didn't clean my ear first before placing a post back in it. Sanitation and cleanliness are my #1. After I left I wiped my ear and jewelry with an alcohol wipe.

Fantastic experience: I took my daughter there to get her first piercing. The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. Her piercer, Pat, walked her through the process and was very gentle. We plan to return for future experiences. Five stars!

Fantastic experience: My young daughter had her ears pierced for the first time at this shop and they did an amazing job reassuring her and making sure she wasn’t scared. She is so happy with her cute new earrings and I was impressed with how professionally we were treated. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to have their kids’ ears pierced.

Fantastic experience: Gabriela is so amazing!! I've gotten four tattoos by her and she does absolutely wonderful every time! Most recently my grandma and I came in for matching tattoos and I could not have asked for a better experience! The shop is also very clean and professional. I can't wait to come back!

Fantastic experience: I had my tongue pierced by Amy 4 months ago. She was so kind and thoroughly went through every step with me. The piercing was smooth and easy and healing went great thanks to the instructions Amy went over with me. I would definitely come back here in the future!

Fantastic experience: This is the ONLY place I will go to here in Louisville for my piercings. Amy especially is a gem and absolutely knows what she’s doing.. plus she WILL be honest with you if a piercing and your anatomy will not work! 10000/10.

Negative experience: Went there to purchase body jewelry. I know what size jewelry I need and don't need help inserting it. A note on their front door says you don't need to make a appointment if you dont need help with your jewelry purchase. Knocked on the door and the lady wouldn't let me inside. She said I needed to make an appointment. Door clearly stated otherwise. It was 5pm, she just didn't want me there. Sadly another shop had referred me to them.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! I have had my tongue re-pierced (a successful rescue), an industrial bar, and a nipple piercing. Fantastic experience every time, the staff are always informative and patient with questions. The services are very reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend Amy! She is my go-to.

Fantastic experience: Went to get my ears repierced. Pat walked me through what he was going to do, was very clear on aftercare & emphasized to contact him if I had any concerns with the healing process. If I get any future piercings I feel very comfortable coming back to Pat. Other staff I briefly spoke with were friendly & helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I got lobe piercings in both ears here and we are so happy with the results!! Pat was our piercer and he was very sweet and accommodating and answered all our questions. He made us feel very comfortable with the process. Would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: We spent the weekend in Louisville for the Louder Than Life music festival. During the first day my 8g labret ring kept popping open. Contacted them via email the next day. Was quickly responded to and picked up a titanium CBR to replace it within an hour of them opening. Excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: Amy is so amazing at what she does & so easy to talk to. Getting undressed in front of anyone especially someone you don’t really know is always a bit uncomfortable but before i even knew it I was stripped down to barebones feeling like we’ve been friends for ages. I came to her today with a “thought” about a potential metal allergy and how I could get around it without losing my piercings. This was my hood piercing which I do NOT want to lose!! she and I had a meeting of the minds & came up with some awesome ideas and theories about what could have been going on with my body. She then came up with a plan which she executed seamlessly & with NO discomfort. She even changed lot my barbell free of charge. Until we found the perfect size & then she’s going to Customize and special order 14k gold barbell for me to work around my metal allergy!! As a small business owner myself it was amazing to be in someone’s presence and you can FEEL their love & passion for their craft 10 out of 10 will always recommend.
