Negative experience: not sure who the man was that tattooed me and my family a few months ago back in october, but he did not do us justice at all which is really unfortunate because his work looked awesome. everything we asked for, he changed. everything we wanted to come to life was shut down. sizes were bigger than we wanted them to be because that was as small as he could go. it felt like we were accommodating him. there are no straight lines in any of our tattoos and i have in a weird shaded part i didn’t ask for. the tattoo behind the ear also has a filled in part which wasn’t asked for and is now blown out with the ink spreading. i understand artists make mistakes and have bad days, but this is just unfortunate to have on your body for the rest of your life.

Negative experience: I feel bad writing this but it needs to be known. Everyone was genuinely nice and it felt like a very good environment. However, I went in for a PA piercing 6+ months ago.. and it was done COMPLETELY WRONG. I had to wait 3 months to have it redone correctly somewhere else. Where they made it right and I can make the other one viable.. (it is still not correct, but now unique situation) I do not believe the piercer doing the job is APP certified. And there is only one that does genital piercings when I went. Make sure your piercer is APP certified before booking an appointment!

Fantastic experience: I got a septum piercing done here and was very nervous. They were kind, professional, and educational (both the woman at front desk and the gentleman who pierced me)! 10/10, would recommend to anyone.

I always trust Nat with my ideas and they always come up with something truly amazing. I’ve also gotten a couple flash they’ve designed. I get compliments on my tattoos all the time and I always tell people to check Nat out if they like that style.

Negative experience: i’ve gotten all my piercings here but i’m not planning on coming back. i went to get my conch pierced and he didn’t ask what gauge i wanted, just went with a 14 gauge needle that he used to punch a hole in my ear without any warning. went back another time and ask if they could simply change my jewelry because i couldn’t get the ball off one of my studs, he told me yes and did it. didn’t tell me until after that that simple act was going to charge me $20. i wish i had a more professional experience here but i did not, so ill be finding a different shop to go to and i suggest any of you do the same.

Negative experience: I went and got my rook pierced. The little emo girl up front was rude as hell to me and acted like I was asking dumb questions. (Even if they were dumb questions, you should be welcoming as the receptionist.) I asked if they could pierce my friend's septum with a retainer (which they make in implant grade metals!) or if they do annodization, both very normal questions for a piercing stuido. I have over 15 piercings and I've never been to a shop that's had a single person treat me like that. I was pierced with a cork, something that's been out of style for a while in most studios for a while since corks are porous and harbor bacteria. The jewlery he sold me was externally threaded, something else no studio should be doing today as this is damaging to the piercing channel and harbors bad bacteria. Overall, I really do recommend other studios more. I'd recommend tattoo charlies or twisted images, both have great staff. Still, if you are trapped here and must get a piercing they aren't the worst. The placement was correct and I was initially pierced with the correct jewlery.

Fantastic experience: Came in today for a walk-in ear piercing with Kevin. Everyone was so kind from the moment I walked in. Kevin was a complete professional, informative and made me feel at ease. His room was also clean and organized. He talked me through the whole process, made sure I was comfortable. I was in and out in 20 minutes. I would absolutely recommend Kevin!

Fantastic experience: 10/10. I had Kevin as my piercer and could not have had a smoother experience. Did a walk-in for my 3rd lobe & a conch piercing, was super nervous as this was my first prof piercing. Kevin was AMAZING, very professional, calmly explained each step as he was doing it, and was able to give me the jewelry piece I wanted (a ring) but was a CBR w/ larger gauge & diameter to accommodate any swelling and help prevent rejection/scarring. He was like a Bob Ross of piercers; highly recommend him if you have any anxiety ab your appointment. Had such a positive time that I will 100% be returning for any future piercings. Very knowledgable & kind staff!

Fantastic experience: nat was my artist. great job with how it turned out and the whole process took maybe about an hour and a half. very satisfied. picture 1&2 is during and directly after. picture 3 is a few months after. the other one was the reference photo that i wanted replaced with ravens and it turned out amazing!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for a few years now to get my piercings and the staff is always so nice, welcoming, and will answer all of your questions! Kevin did an amazing job with my cartilage, rook, and third lobe piercings! I will always recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I have had four piercings done here, all were excellent. The last one was a nostril piercing that involved removing a piercing that was done at another place (I won’t name names, but going somewhere else was a HUGE mistake), and was not placed well AT ALL. The professionalism is evident throughout the process here. And my piercer demonstrated his experience not just with his gentle technique and skill , but with his knowledge and manner. Top marks from me, and I have definitely learned my lesson and will NEVER go anywhere else again (no matter how convenient.)

Fantastic experience: Came in for the first time around 6:40 to get both nipples pierced. Kevin was the name of my piecer and I have to say I’m so glad he was! When I went in the room he was very professional and explained the official process, healing process, etc. After the first piercing I believe I held my breath during I began to be extremely light headed. Kevin was there the entire time for me. Literally best bed side manners I’ve ever experienced. After that recovery he was so kind on if I wanted to stop or continue. I was not about to leave with 1 nipple pierced so I said let’s go for it and he did! Extremely kind people here with my experience and will definitely be coming back for any future piercing I’m wanting and guaranteed to ask for Kevin! Fantastic experience: My wife, friends and I had all been talking about getting piercings done we found Artfully insane online after a little research and we couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Kevin did All of ours not only did he have a medical background he was very thorough in everything he did. Between all of us there were 5 nipples, 1 tongue and also 1 conch piercing. We are all very happy to have met Kevin and anything in the future we will go to him. Very professional, safe and clean.

Fantastic experience: Came in for a second nostril piercing and a lip piercing. The people I met were very friendly, fairly sure Kevin did my piercings. He was awesome. Very knowledgeable and kind. Definitely one of my better experiences with piercings locally! I would personally return to see this same piercer again, well worth the cost of the piercings.

Negative experience: I was extremely disappointed! I was extremely excited to get my nose pierced along with a friend at a new shop. I have been to a few shops and have 16 piercing so I feel I have a little experience with piercings. When I was getting my piercing the man with the really long beard was really off putting! He didn't introduce himself or say hello, he didn't tell me the gauge of my piercing, he didn't do a count town, and most importantly was extremely rude when I was questioning the placement of the piercing, and I should have walked out. He seemed very upset that I was questioning his placement .Considering I only wanted the Piercing up a little higher!He made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed in the shop. Not to mention that it's ten dollars more that it says one the website and he charge me and my friend an extra 4 dollars or it was a tip assuming since he didn't even ask me if I wanted to!

Fantastic experience: Today was my second visit to artfully insane. Last time I got my earlobes done and this time my nose. This visit was every bit as awesome as the first. I will certainly go back if I come to find that something else needs some work done.

Fantastic experience: For starters, I genuinely didn't expect to get an appt so quickly, but was very happy they were able to fit me in. I came in to get a tattoo of my husbands handwriting, and while it may not look like much to some people, I am absolutely in love with it... Travis did an AMAZING job and I will definitely be back to see him again. While I was here, Kevin, also switched out my nose ring for me. He was the one who did the actual piercing of my nose a few months prior and let me tell you, you cannot get anyone more thorough. You can tell that everyone here really cares and puts a lot of love into their work. I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: This was my first tattoo and I was so nervous about pain and just the general experience... But this was a dream!! Everything seemed very sanitary and professional, and the studio had lots of beautiful pieces of art on display. I was tattooed by Travis, and he was so kind and unbelievably talented. He definitely made the experience by being reassuring and being aware of how I was doing. Kevin (one of the piercers) came in and was also being very comforting. It was so delightful to chat with both of them. My tattoo looks so beautiful and Travis was helpful with aftercare. I literally cannot recommend him and this studio enough. If I ever need another tattoo, I will definitely be coming back!!

Fantastic experience: Gotten pierced here twice by Doc, and Tamashii did a tattoo for me recently. On a different person's tattoo that I came with, Tamashii even did custom lettering instead of using some sort of font generator like everyone else I've been to at different shops. Super amazing! Everyone is fantastic and I plan to come here for any future work! Also, there's really cool artwork available to buy.

Fantastic experience: I have had Travis for 4 tattoos now and all have been great! The place definitely has an older laid back Piercing/Tattoo shop vibe and the people there really fit in. Expect some sailor language and fun jokes going around, it's a tattoo shop, not your grandma's nursing home lol. Also keep in mind you're a moving breathing canvas, almost no tattoo is actually perfect when you look very close. That's just part of it and what makes each one unique.

Kevin (my piercer) knew exactly what he was doing, let me know everything he was going to do, and everyone keeps telling me how nice my ears look! Plus, everything was clean, safe, and they made sure I knew exactly what to do to help the piercings heal. If I could give them ten stars I would! If you go there ask for Kevin (he knows what he's doing and he's a genuinely cool dude).

Fantastic experience: This place is great. I've been for two piercings. The first was a nose piercing (by Kevin) and the second was an upper-ear cartilage piercing (by Doc). In both cases, they were kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and super thorough about after-care. Absolutely my go-to for future piercings.

Fantastic experience: Free touch-ups for life. Wonderfully done tattoos and piercings at the best prices - performed with the cleanest needles in the area. The staff is like a small family. I'll never go anywhere else. Nat is my go-to tattoo artist. I also love the piercers, Doc, and Kevin. They do the most precise work I've seen to date, and they are extra careful about sanitization. They do all they can to make sure you understand what you are getting into with your piercings and are somehow still super gentle when they shove needles into your skin. 10/10. Did I mention their quoted piercing prices include jewelry? Win!

Fantastic experience: I got a tragus and pair of triple lobe piercings here, and it was an excellent experience. doc is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. it was by far my least painful piercing experience and the healing process was unproblematic. you do not get to choose your piercing jewelry which can be frustrating for some people, but he explained that they only use surgery-grade jewelry for the piercing jewelry to ensure no issues.

Fantastic experience: Kevin took care of my piercings - 2 lobes and a nostril! Each one was done with a new needle, he walked me through the whole process very easily after a long day of piercings. After 3 weeks, they are healing nicely, with no infection! I'll be returning for future piercings as while they pierced a whole lotta people, I don't think anyone walks out not satisfied with there service

Fantastic experience: I went with my friend today for her nostril piercing. It looks so cute! I did not get anything but did ask for an anatomy check for a snug piercing. Kevin answered all my questions and was so kind and patient with me! I will be back for a piercing.

Negative experience: I don’t know his name but it was the older guy with the long white beard that did my piercings. He did not ask me what kind of jewelry I wanted for my bottom lip or my nose. I honestly hate it. It doesn’t match my other jewelry at all and I have to live with it for 8 weeks while it heals. At first he brushed off my complaint and just asked me to pay. Like “well there’s nothing we can do about it, it’s the only starter jewelry we have.” If I was informed of that I would have gotten it done on a different day. I didn’t know I couldn’t switch it out once it was pierced if I didn’t like the jewelry in the shop. If he knew that he should have made sure I liked the jewelry first before putting it in my face! I told him I wasn’t happy they gave me a 20 dollar voucher to get my jewelry switched out to something else when it’s healed. Which was fine. But when Santa pierced my friend’s ear he didn’t even ask her which jewelry she wanted either. She didn’t like it as well. We’re both very feminine and prefer FEMININE jewelry, the jewelry he gave us was very masculine. WORK ON YOUR COMMUNICATION SKILLS. I most definitely will not be getting any more work done here they do not walk you through what they’re going to do before they do it. Which is insane to me because I’ve never had a piercer that didn’t show me what jewelry options I had before hand.

Fantastic experience: I got my tongue pierced here recently. And I had a decent experience. My friend recemended this place. I was a little creeped out by the way the building looked inside. When I walked in the piercing room it looked kind of dirty and scary. I got a weird vibe from the piercer, but overall everything went well and I'd probably go back for more. This place has character.

Negative experience: Nose piercing was incredibly painful and the guy couldn’t place it properly so kept going in & our & wiggling the needle around. Caused so much pain I could’ve passed out. Prices were decent

Negative experience: My 9-year-old grandson came fro a piercing with Doc. The whole experience was very hasty and unprofessional. Doc may somehow have a good reputation, but was quite condescending and impatient in handing this child. There was no conversation about what would happen, and when, and the wrong earring was inserted. My grandson became queasy and faint over the proceedure and none of the staff seemed to have any concern over this. Doc seemed to have a low frustration tolerance and lacked basic people skills. Avoid this place. There are many options out there.

Negative experience: Right off the bat when we walked in the vibe was a bit weird. We continued to make an appointment for one right earlobe piercing. We waited 45 minutes and got a call that they were ready. We walked in and there were no workers except one lady that was doing a tattoo. We waited 15 minutes to learn that they were all having a SMOKE break . After everyone came back in I asked to see the earring that I was getting, the lady showed me a little hoop so I felt good about that. I wanted to get the same one put in my left ear. After Doc was ready. He leaned me back in a chair and told me to take deep breaths he started sticking a bigger needle in my left ear! I started blacking out and I had to lean forward I told him to wait a minute and he refused. We finished doing my left ear. He told me he could not do my other one. The earring that he put in was a lot bigger than I was expecting and the worst part is he did not explain at all what he was doing. I WARN YOU NEVER EVER COME HERE IT IS HORRIBLE!

Fantastic experience: They'll fit your piercing precise. But for a tip go up one size from what your piercer says on the monroe . Always 16g but try a size longer on the stud. Mine said 8mm but my instinct said 10 and it's perfect plus even if you think your right swelling can make you wrong. They got the good though 5 dollar studs
