Fantastic experience: I'm from Alabama and was visiting my daughter in Phoenix. We decided to get matching tattoos. My daughter arranged the appointments. Actually, she called to leave a message about making appointments. Goeke happened to be there waiting for a package. Much to our surprise, and benefit, he said he could see us. When we walked in I felt like I had entered an art gallery. The framed art is beautiful and eclectic. The music was at the right volume. The environment was clean and had a calming feel. Goeke was professional and ensured our tattoo placements were exactly where we wanted. He watched for any signs of discomfort from each of us. He explained aftercare , both with derm covering and lotion Every time I look at my tattoo I smile-not only because my daughter and I have the same design but because of the wonderful experience we shared

They brought to life an older tat that had errors in it. They fixed it and really made me feel happy, since it was such a personal meaning placa. @Goeke was awesome. Real chill. Good dude. The staff was dope too. I’m happy to honestly give my review because they took care of me. I’m not even from Phoenix but while I was here for 4 days I drove to 5 different slots.. and not all were bad, but the people didn’t seem to care about what I needed.. I mean, it is my skin and it’s meant to be forever, so a little care about what one is seeking to have done should be taken with upmost sincere attention. North Mountain Tattoo did just that. I’m coming back.

Mando is my Artist, we’re exploring his art on my skin.. it’s 70 year old skin, he is doing black and Grey Sleeves for me.. I’ll post picks of the results!! Not finished yet!! So for people who have what I call older thin skin because of age, we tested the skin first, it was a go ahead!! Fantastic experience: This was my first time getting a tattoo and I have to say I am super impressed! When I called to book an appointment I asked them if they would recommend a tattoo for me due to the fact that I have keloid scars. The lady who I spoke to helped book an appointment for me with an experienced artist who is very knowledgeable on tattooing sensitive skin. Ivan was amazing! He answered all of my questions and helped provide a calming environment while he did the tattoo. I highly recommend this place if you are a first timer like me!

He walked me through every step of the process with patience and care. I never felt rushed, in fact he told me outright he would reposition the stencil as many times as needed until it felt right. He said things about longevity that I didn’t think about, cautioned where appropriate but ultimately left the decisions to me. His artistry and attention to detail are truly unmatched! Clean and comfortable. The real star of the show is definitely my friendly, and highly talented tattoo artist, Goeke. His precise line work is exceptional and hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. I am so incredibly happy with the work he did today and I look forward to seeing him again in the future!

Fantastic experience: My daughter turned 18 and wanted matching tattoos with her mom and auntie. We got small butterflies behind our ears. Some tattoo artists might’ve poo pooed these tiny tattoos but not Kat. She made the entire experience so special and memorable. She connected with each of us and was extremely kind. This experience far exceeded some of our other tattoo experiences. I highly recommend the shop and Kat. We already have plans to go back.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time at North Mountain Tattoo and it won't be the last. My artist is Ivan, he is highly recommend by a friend who they followed wherever he goes. He did my first tattoo and I couldn't be more happier with it. I had my first session with him yesterday for my first large piece and it turned out way better than I thought. He is amazing, very professional and just a great person. The shop is really clean and looked like an art gallery. Very chill and welcoming. I loved how the other artist stopped by and complemented the work. Great experience overall.

Great location also when taking breaks there's a Carolina's and a QT and circle k to pick up water and snacks or tacos

First, I was greeted by Brittany who is an absolute gem! She is extremely helpful, friendly, professional, very welcoming, and has a terrific demeanor. She went out of her way to help me not only in the shop but also via text. Absolutely awesome! Second, I was greeted by my fabulous artist, Kat! I had sent in a couple examples of tattoos, prior to coming into the shop, that I may have wanted, honestly, I was not quite sure what I really wanted to begin with. Kat already had my tattoo all drawn up ready to go when she greeted me! I was super impressed! I absolutely loved the design, which is absolutely perfect! I had mentioned to both Brittany and Kat that it had been approximately 15 years since my previous tattoos, and it was scary and very painful. Therefore, I was quite nervous. Both were so great, very patient and encouraging and had me feel like I knew them forever! If you are looking for a great vibe, highly respectable and professional staff and shop, North Mountain Tattoo is your go to shop hands down. From the moment of my first message to leaving the shop, I was made to feel the most comfortable and Kat worked amazingly to produce the tattoo I wanted. The shop itself is as clean as can be and is a work of art itself. All staff were very kind and Kat not only was awesome to me, but she made the tattoo exactly how I wanted and gave the clearest instructions for aftercare including touch ups and contacting her or the store for help if it arises. Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo on my forearm with Ivan, he did a great job preparing me befoew and with the aftercare. Great dude, easy to talk to and perfessional. The shop is really clean, and looks like an art gallery inside. Everyone in the shop had a smile on their face and make the clients feel at home. It was also a good feeling when other artist stopped by the work station and complemented the work.

Fantastic experience: Goeke is an amazing artist. I came to him to tell my story via tattoo’s. Since our first visit, we built a friendship, but also Goeke got to know me. With both of us, we were able to tell my story in the most beautiful artistic way ever. I have 2 sleeves and I am always getting comments of how beautiful they are. Goeke also makes beautiful artwork on the walls and I am the proud owner of a couple of his pictures. Fantastic experience: I came in here with my 75 yr old dad that's never had a tattoo, so this was his first time and he ended up with 3, I also got one in memory of my mom and i absolutely love it. Kat was our artist and she was sanitary, clean, professional and detailed, im from out of town, but when i do go back to Arizona, i will definitely be going back to see her.
