Negative experience: I was waiting on my group home staff and some guy came out the tattoo shop and said I got to leave when I was waiting on my staff at the new Arica supermarket he was very rude!!! And he had the nerve to spray the chair down

Fantastic experience: I went a saw Keke today and she did 2 of my tattoos, she’s absolutely wonderful! She did a cover up on one of my tattoos and it came out absolutely beautiful. She’s very precise and she’s very efficient. She made sure to cover it really well and made sure I was happy with both tattoos and she’s very affordable.

Fantastic experience: Recently got a tattoo with Alan (aka itsmefrenchie) he did an amazing job! He was very professional and prompt into responding to my messages and followed up after my appointment to make sure I was doing ok. He was gentle when tattooing which made it an easy experience, the shop was clean and he got me and my friend waters while we were getting worked on. I highly recommend this shop five stars

Annoyingly, I had him redo my stencil like 10+ times and he was super nice and patient the whole time as well :). Kept me talking and always made sure I was doing okay. He also had a very light hand so it didn’t really hurt and is healing beautifully! Not only did I find my forever tattoo artist but I made a friend that day. So please i recommend this place over any other place.

My tattoo artist Eli even had a play station and tv set up for us clients to chinchill while getting tatted up. My piece turned out amazing , Eli is simply the best ! I highly recommend this shop and asking for Eli. I wanted realism and he gave me realism, with beautiful color . His apprentice Alan was super chill too. Long story short this is the SPOT . 10 / 10 recommend . I’ll be back !!

Fantastic experience: Morgan was great from start to finish. I originally set up and appointment for 1/25 but had to change it to today, 2/21 and he was understanding as well as accommodating. I've been wanting to get this Thundercats tattoo for the longest time and I'm so glad I went with the suggestion of my coworker. My friend came with me and he was impressed as well (with Morgan and just the shop in general). He does plan on going back himself to get a tattoo with Morgan. The shop is very inviting as well. If you want to get a tattoo ask for Morgan B.!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I went to Tim Johnston 11 years ago for ring tattoos before we got married he is absolutely incredible. We decided to get 2 more finger tattoos and found our he was working at Double Down Tattoo so we went there, he did a phenomenal job as always. The shop was very clean and everyone was very nice and busy. I would absolutely reccommend going there for your tattoo needs.

Negative experience: I can’t vouch for their tattoo quality, but I do Not recommend getting a piercing here. I came in to get a chest dermal earlier this month (11/08/24) and she did not sterilize me at all before piercing me. Did the dermal puncture with a needle, then tried to get the jewelry to anchor and couldn’t, so she went BACK in with the needle, and very harshly shoved the jewelry in. Now I know dermals are relatively difficult piercings to do and to get, but even afterwards when I asked her to clean it (because she didn’t sterilize me), she said she “didn’t really have anything”. Makes me wonder if the jewelry and needle were clean. Said to clean with soap and water, which is unusual for piercing care. Left me with pretty nasty scarring around the jewelry and I'm assuming it will probably reject. She was a really kind lady so this isn’t a jab at her as a person, but I felt that I should’ve at least been wiped down before creating an open wound on my chest. Overall wasn’t super pleased with that.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten two tattoos by Keke and she really brings the tattoo to live with her artistic skills. I love it, she’s a perfectionist and I’m more than happy!

Negative experience: I got my septum pierced here three months ago by Keke. Went to get new jewelry put in after it healed and my septum piercing is crooked and not pierced in the correct spot. I would not recommend anyone getting pierced at Double Down Tattoo and Body Piercing.

Fantastic experience: Always love this tattoo shop. they are real and upfront. Caring for your piercings and tattoos is very vital. I’ve only been cleaning my piercings with water and I have no infection or anything. She did advise me to clean with anti-bacterial soap, but my body does well with just keeping them clean and clear of debris.

Fantastic experience: Great place to get an epic tatto or a pleasure tickling piercing from some great people or even a few odd ones! Great vibe and staff that will accommodate the customer! Gotta appreciate that and piercing the right way without a gun, and using a STERILE needle with a well trained hand instead! Anyway, if you need something, they can hook you up... literally if need be, lol! Forgot to add that I have gotten 2 tattoos had a venom piercing a double eyebrow piercing, all here!

Positive experience: Overall a great place. Clean and sanitary. They took us same day and the tattoos look AMAZING. The artist that tattooed us did spend more time talking than tattooing, two smaller tattoos should not take 2+ hours. Also one of our tattoos was quoted $150 and the other $200, they swapped the prices of the tattoo which left my friend needing to pull out more cash than brought, and this happened even after signing the form that stated it would only be $150. Make sure you verify the price of the tattoo before starting, they will try to make you pay extra.

Fantastic experience: Hubby lost his pup, literally man’s best friend, hubby wanted something in honor of him. So he got his paw print on him and did it justice! Allen was AMAZING! Would definitely go back!

Fantastic experience: Tim at Double Down reminds me of Rembrandt. He did exactly what I asked for only he did it better than I expected. Sometimes the music there is too much death metal, but when I sat it was a lot of Van Halen which was my favorite band in high school, so it worked out great. Tim is also very reasonable in his pricing and he's committed to Excellence. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: LONE LADIES BEWARE. Was quoted one price on a piercing by Alan, was given a $40 quote both on the phone and in person when I walked in. After I was pierced, he doubled the price. I was alone and it was after dark, so I was basically backed into a corner and forced to pay. Absolute scumbag behavior.

Negative experience: I use to love coming to Double Down when Jesse was there but a family member and I went last week to get a simple tattoo and we were quoted $60 we confirmed it would be $60 but at the end the guy wanted to more the double both of us on our tattoos. I understand if it was a bit more but pulling something like that because we're 2 females and you were in the shop alone after hours is pretty shady. Then also after our tattoos were done he didn't wrap them or cover them. Honestly neither of us would return.

Allen is a great artist who spent a lot of time, effort and energy taking my roughest draft and turning it into exactly what I had envisioned. He's also just a great human who was kind, joked with me and made sure I was comfortable and happy the whole time. I felt at home and included by the entire Monday night staff, they were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Lastly, the shop itself is really cool inside (definitely not what I expected based on the outside location). It is kept clean, aesthetically pleasing, fun and comforting. First tattoo shop I can 100% say I will go back to and recommend to friends/family.

Negative experience: Called to see about walking in to get a tattoo from this place, and the gentleman that answered the phone was very rude and disrespectful. I asked if they had someone available that could tattoo a small quote that I'd been wanting to get done, and he kept acting like he couldn't hear, nor understand me.

Fantastic experience: I have been having some sessions at this tattoo parlor, and have had the pleasure of being Stephen’s client, and after experiencing bad/rude tattoo artists at other places, I was surprised by Stephen’s hospitality, and the whole team making sure everyone has been talked to, and taken care of. Stephen is smart, and will make sure you’re getting what you want, but also making sure that it turns out AWESOME. My piece is unfinished, but it is already incredible. I highly recommend Stephen, and/or anyone at Double Down Tattoo for quick care and great tattoo service.

Positive experience: I’ve come here before for a couple tattoos. Their minimum price for a tattoo is $60, which is a better price than other places. The artists are always friendly and I love the atmosphere of the shop. My only complaint really is the wait times. It’s usually an hour for a walk-in. They do offer ways around this, though. You’re welcome to leave and come back in an hour. They hold your spot for you. Or you can schedule an appointment ahead of time. Both are great options and I’ve loved the work I’ve gotten from them. Stephan, so far, is my favorite artist.

Fantastic experience: Morgan is beyond amazing. I live in Utah and it has became a family tradition to go visit Morgan and get new art every time I'm in town. Morgan just recently did a memorial tattoo for my best friend I lost recently. And a brother/sister piece. He took my idea and went above and beyond what I had in my head. He is amazing at what he does and actually listens to what you're saying. It's a plus he has a good sense of humor as well see you in a few months Morgan!!

Negative experience: I went to see Allen and was told a set price for my tattoo and told that he doesn’t change price once he’s set it. 6 paid sessions later he tells me because the tattoo is going to be bigger than expected that he would need about $100 more. Not a problem for me, I pay it and think tattoo will finally be finished. Not the case and told we will need one more session. Again, not a problem. Come in for final session and I am told that our discussion is not what happened and that I am taking advantage of him and he yet again wants more money. When my husband went in to find out what’s the deal he gets told “well you weren’t here when I discussed prices with your wife”. So he clearly takes advantage of people who go alone so there’s no one else to argue prices. Very rude and unprofessional.

Negative experience: Allen the tattoo artist there will lie about the price tell you to pay $350 more than set price..... took 6 sessions for calf piece that’s not done takes advantage of women! Went to talk to him about it and he talked about him self like he was the best artist ever and all her other tattoos weren’t as good as his.... this guy is a joke! Don’t go!!
