Fantastic experience: It was a chil experience the guys inside was funny I will be coming back

Negative experience: I don't recommended coming here for a piercing, I got 2 helix piercings on each ear and I advised they looked crooked, he assured me they weren't & pierced permanent earings and they are CROOKED. I wanted to come to a professional but it was not professional and he was rushing me to make up my mind as well (they were uneven) He told me he wanted to throw a brick at me and I didn't engage in that and even asked for a small break between piercings and he said nope and continued through. Irreversible mistake since it doesn't make sense to get another wound 2 millimeters from the original wound. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Daniel and the apprentice (sorry i forgot his name) did an awesome job!! i got a tragus piercing on each ear and they came out perfect!! I will def be back for more

Fantastic experience: I got my double helixes done by Raul and he was great! I was really nervous considering the double helix can be a painful piercing but Raul was nice and made the experience easy. The screw-on ball has also fell out twice in the last three months but the shop was always happy to screw it back on. :)

Fantastic experience: I was itching to get a new piercing and I went to platinum ink. I was greeted at the reception by very friendly staff. I had gotten pierced by Mason who was amazing!! Great sense of humor. When I tell you I didn’t feel a thing….i really didn’t! I had gotten a “faux rook” I was out of there in under 2 minutes. Can’t wait to go back again!

Fantastic experience: I won the apprentice conch piercing give away and I had the greatest experience! I got my conch for the first time and my septum piercing for the third (i always lose a ball and it falls out it’s my error) and i couldn’t be happier! I have gotten my piercings here since 2018 and i couldn’t recommend a piercing place more. Everyone here is extremely efficient and helpful, the shop is also super clean and welcoming. :) i’ve gotten at least over 10 piercings here and I will always come back for more!!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever the receptionist was super nice but the person who did my piercing was super freaking rude!!!!!! I wish I had stand up for myself I felt so humiliated he didn’t understand I was just scared but still I stayed to do it he looked pissed at me and when my mom told me alright its time he told her you better not be trouble here! 120% that guy didnt deserve a damn tip!!!! Oh by the way my piecing looks crooked!!! But when I brought it to his attention he didnt care!!!

Negative experience: This was the worst experience I've ever had at a piercing/tattoo shop. Went with a group of girls, all of us excited to get a piercing, the first receptionist was so nice and helpful, and then a second guy (pretty sure his name is daniel from seeing all the other horrible reviews about him) and he was incredibly rude to my friend. She was really nervous to get a daith piercing, so went up and asked him how bad it hurts (looking for some friendly encouragement) and he said "am i supposed to reassure you?" like YEAH BUD thats pretty much your job. But anyways she looks at me after that interaction and says "i do not want him to be my piercer, he was so mean" and we all agreed, hoping he didn't have to be the one to do the actual piercing. OF COURSE, it's him, and he calls my friend back and immediately, i ask to go with her (because she was already nervous about his rude vibe), so i go into the room with her and he doesn't say anything like hi how are you, NOPE, just says "ok i'm going to tell you when I'm ready and you tell me if you are" and my friend is so scared she's tightly squeezing my hand. he does the piercing quick and easy. and then he starts trying to put the earring in. for 5 MINUTES he is struggling and cannot get the earring in. my friend is crying on the chair and her ear covered in blood, and he still HAS NOT SAID ANYTHING. after a while of my friend crying and him still shoving an earring in her ear that clearly wasn't working, i asked him if he was almost finished (looking for any sort of communication from him). he got so mad that i asked, he stopped working, looked at me, and told me to step out of the room. my friend said "no please dont leave me" and i was so shocked, i couldn't move ??? how are you going to ask me to step out of the room when my friends ear is covered in blood and she's sobbing and you haven't even said a single word to her??!!! he struggled for so long that he decided to REFUND her for how bad it was. UNBELIEVABLY bad service. if you're going to be poking holes in peoples heads for a living you should be a little more understanding of their feelings. so sad because everyone else was so nice. BUT HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED NOW.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience getting my earlobes pierced by Mason back in June. The lobes are healing properly and I love them. Mason is professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I really appreciated how he made the experience fun and comfortable. Highly recommend this dude!

Fantastic experience: I am in love with my new piece! Scheduling a consultation was super easy and they are very professional. I sent in a quote request and was paired with the perfect artist. Marco and I had a great conversation and came up with a plan then scheduled my appointment. I was even sent a text this morning confirming my appointment. I also now have an artist to help me with my Alice in Wonderland arm.

Fantastic experience: Went today for a Conch and a Rook piercing, the whole staff was super friendly, the man checking us in was super efficient, and I got in and out of there so fast even with 5+ people ahead of me. Raul pierced me, he was so friendly, fast and communicative. He told me I had a thick ear but I let that slide.

Negative experience: Good experience with the people, but I got a navel piercing and it was done unevenly, which still looked pretty prominent even after healing/swelling reduced so it just had to be taken out

Fantastic experience: If you aren't getting pierced by Daniel H....what are you even doing?! Over the years I have had 8 different piercings done by Daniel and I will always refer to him. He's accurate, quick, and honest about expectations. Never had a piercing reject if he's done it (almost all other piercings I've had rejected. Maybe it's just good luck but imma say it's skill) pricing has always been clear and I've never walked out confused or feeling like it wasn't worth the cost. 10/10 recommend and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to platinum Ink for 8/11 piercings I have. I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences every single time. Every single piercer there has been so informative and professional. Mason, Drew, and Daniel especially. Daniel did my industrial and naval and worked with my anatomy perfectly, and answered all of my questions, even the unnecessary ones. Daniel and Raul have always answered any questions or concerns of mine over Instagram messenger as well. Every piercing has healed very well with no issues. Platinum Ink is the only place I will ever go to. You cannot beat it for the service and prices.

Fantastic experience: Very great experience. Came in on a Sunday for the deal to get my helix, Mason did mine and my friends belly button. It was quick, easy, clean, and painless. After I got very faint and almost passed out Mason and the other artists were very nice and helpful, bring me water and helping me lay down. Will be returning!

Fantastic experience: I went here earlier today and it was an amazing experience. I got my first tattoo which was one of magnolia flowers, and right after I got my belly button pierced. 10/10. (I got tattooed by Sean, very cool guy.)

Positive experience: i visited this shop for a dermal piercing and had an alright experience. The shop itself was clean and well-maintained. However, my interaction with the piercer which was also the guy at the front desk, Daniel, wasn’t satisfactory at all. He did not greet me upon arrival, nor did he communicate effectively throughout the process. This lack of communication made the environment feel awkward and uncomfortable, which detracted from what could have been a more positive experience. The piercing itself was done good, I believe that better communication and a friendlier personal would greatly improve the customer experience at this shop.

Negative experience: I love platnium ink and I usually go to the one off burnet road but I was hanging out downtown. I went to this location for convenience. The guy at the desk was super super friendly and everything was going fine. I was just getting my smiley piercing, super simple! My name gets called and my piercer was Daniel. He didn’t greet me or even wait for me to get up. Just called my name and walked straight back to his office. I had asked him if I could bring my friends in with me because I get nervous and he got seemed annoyed and said “I guess, but only one”. The piercers on burnet road always allowed my two friends to just come watch. Anyways, I get to his room. (Which is wayyy bigger than the rooms on burnet) Again, he does not greet me or my friend and just tells me to sit down. His whole demeanor was just such a vibe kill and he has anime just blasting on his tv. He tells me to lay down and just starts shoving stuff in my mouth. He gave me no communication and didn’t tell me what he was doing or what was going on at all. Me and my friend were just sitting there staring at each other in disbelief because he was just so rude and lame. My piercing was fine which is good. But he told me nothing about after and didn’t even say goodbye as I was leaving his room and I was even nice enough to leave him a tip still. This was probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had and very uncomfortable. I did not feel welcomed at all. I will gladly not go back to get pierced by Daniel. But if he wants more clients he should be more welcoming and nicer. And maybe don’t be a piercer if you’re so unhappy to do so.

Fantastic experience: I got two helix piercings and a navel piercing done here. All were simple, straightforward, quick, and surprisingly less painful than expected. Drew, my piercer, was incredibly patient and professional. He took his time sterilizing my jewelry, marking spots for piercing, cleaning, and prepping. He talked me through the entire process and ensured I was enthusiastically informed at all times. My piercings are doing great on their healing journey!

Negative experience: I was lured in by the cheap prices, asked them if I had the anatomy for an industrial and they said yes after .5 seconds of looking at my ear. Today marks several weeks after, my ear is eating the bar, and I had to go to the trustworthy Diablo piercers for them to tell me it should have never been done due to my anatomy and it is pierced at the wrong angles. Luckily no permanent damage. Ladies check with your fellow Austin locals on the reddit before going places.

Negative experience: I had gotten my piercing here 5 days ago and my backing fell. They offered to redo it but I don’t live in Austin they don’t do refunds ether. I had to buy an another jewelry at an another place and as they are doing it they said this place pierced it wrong at a different angle instead of straight. My piercing was so wrong the other place I went to assumed I got it at Claire’s. It took them 15 minutes to try to put in the jewelry were as if it was pierced right it wouldn’t have taken that long. I called this place to tell them and they basically told me “since you did it at another location we can’t do anything have a good day” which I thought was so rude. I’m not making a two hour drive on a mistake this place made and they already had pierced it wrong.

I usually get pierced by Daniel but he wasn’t here today so I got pierced by Rahul and he was just as amazing and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Positive experience: I usually do not write reviews but I think people need to be aware. I came in on a sunday do get my tragus and rook pierced. Everyone there is beyond friendly. However, my tragus fell out sunday night and was closed by monday morning (which they are closed mondays). The jewelry used for my tragus was so short, there was no way it would have any give for the swelling. It just popped off and I had to get it re-pierced at another shop on monday.

Fantastic experience: Came in for a few piercings on a busy Sunday. All of them were done by Mason, he did a great job and made me feel comfortable and did it fast which made it less painful. Front desk staff is super nice and helpful, they make every client feel special. Give customer service an A+. The whole experience was great especially for someone who gets nervous.

Mason has been incredible to both myself and more than one of my friends :) Got my third lobe piercing as well as my nipples and the process was quick and the pricing is very good. Place has a really nice vibe and is very clean, and all the staff I've ever talked to have been thorough and kind.

Negative experience: Went to get my tongue and navel pierced by Daniel and everything was okay ( the environment and how comfortable I was ) but not even 4 days later I had to go to the ER because my tongue piercing had hit an artery and I was bleeding a lot and had to take it out. Now I’m scared that my navel piercing might have also been pierced wrong since it bruised. :/ Edit: I did in fact have to take out my navel piercing too

Fantastic experience: I’ve gone here twice for my triple love piercing and tragus piercing. This last time I got my tragus pierced and the earring accidentally fell off (most likely from my doing) and they told me my options and put in a new earring for me. They make me feel so comfortable and not judged. Definitely coming back if I want a new piercing again.

Negative experience: Daniel H. is an unprofessional piercer, when my friend and I came into his part of the studio and he had anime blasting and didn't even introduce himself to us. While he was piercing my friends helix, he was starting at the T.V. show and not thr needle going through my friends ear! When it came to my turn to pierce my septum, he was rude and rough. Did not check my anatomy like I asked, mid piercing he paused and readjusted the angle of the needle in my nose! When I looked at it in the mirror it was clearly crooked, I asked inq calm manner and he became defensive and offputting (more than before). Do. Not. Go. There.

Fantastic experience: Mason has pierced me for the past 3 yrs, 10/10 experiences everytime & unless I have a high pain tolerance pain is always at a minimum and no problems afterwards either. Ask for Mason for your piercings <3

Negative experience: I should have known better than to get a belly button piercing here. The guy who did my piercing (Darren Shuman) pierced such a huge chunk of my belly that I could not find jewelry long enough. The jewelry he used was way too tight for the length of my piercing and immediately got infected. Now I am left with a hideous belly button piercing scar that I will have for the rest of my life thanks to this horrible place. DO NOT GO HERE. Do your research and find a reputable artist.

Positive experience: The people are so welcoming and professional, I recommend going on Sunday when prices are lower (24$ cash) I had my ear lobes done and my sister in law had her nose and ears done. The only thing I do not like is that they DONT use flat back earrings so if you swell there is not enough space to heal. If I had known I wouldn’t have done it here but I’m healing perfectly. If you want to bring a child or baby I recommend going somewhere that offers flat back earrings.

Negative experience: got my eyebrow and anti eyebrow done here by daniel howland, he wasn’t very welcoming or talkative, but i didn’t mind that much. what i do mind is that he did BOTH with the incorrect jewelry, and i have to get the straight eyebrow barbell replaced with a curved bar, and my anti eyebrow COMPLETELY REMOVED to get repierced with a staple bar, because he used a curved barbell and i can see it under my skin. kids the lesson here is, even though you can get two piercings for 58 dollars, it doesn’t mean you should! i will not be returning.

Negative experience: I wanted to have a 5 star experience. I was SO excited. My last piercing was at Walmart in 1990. This was a big deal to me. My visit started out great. Easy to sign in and get in the queue, great discount on Sundays, lovely person working the front counter. All of that was superb. Unfortunately my piercing experience was not. I was seeking something simple, a second hole in each earlobe. But I had some questions and wanted to consult beforehand. I don't do this every day. My piercer could not have been less helpful and shut down any attempt at conversating about the process. So I just went with it because, hey, he is the expert and it's a busy day and what I want is simple. I even tried to keep it light by cracking a little joke and he literally huffed in annoyance. I am unhappy with his placement of the new hole on my right ear. When I expressed that, his reply was to then condescendingly tell me about his process and decision making. That would have been a lot more helpful BEFORE a hole went in my body, like you know, maybe when I was trying to talk to you beforehand. I practically ran out I was so uncomfortable. I watched other people be so thrilled with their service so maybe this is a one off. But it was awful for me to not have space made for questions. It felt like I interrupted his ability to watch the cartoons that were loudly playing in his workspace. And now I have to get this corrected elsewhere. Total bummer and waste of time and money. I cried in my car. I think it's likely a decent space if you have a lot of piercings and tattoos or feel less rigid about these things. But for people like me who are going out of their comfort zone, I would recommend asking a lot of questions and not going though with it if the vibe is off in any way. I wish I had listened to my gut and asked for another piercer.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten 5 of my piercings (facial/navel) at platinum ink in the last two years and have had easy healing processes every time! the two different piercers ive had were both skilled professionals. If its your first time getting anything done, id probably always recommend Mason as he has always been professional yet very friendly and always makes getting a piercing as comfortable as possible.

Fantastic experience: Daniel pierced my nose a while back and just re-pierced my eyebrow this past Sunday (it rejected over a year ago due to my own negligence regarding proper aftercare) and I couldn’t be more pleased. I hope sharing my personal experience here makes up for some of these negative reviews because I love my piercing! Daniel makes everything quick, easy, and to the point, but he also takes the time to make sure you are happy with the placement before starting. It was important to me that I went to someone who would make sure I was happy with the placement because the last time I got my eyebrow done by someone else, they totally pierced me without checking that I liked it first! Thankfully, with Daniel, I didn’t have to worry about that. The whole process was quick and professional—I think that’s all you can really ask for when they have such a rush on their Sunday special discount days. I also would like to mention, I really appreciated the friendliness at the front desk, completely set the tone for the whole experience. I am planning on getting more piercings in the future and will definitely be going here from now on. Thank you!!

Negative experience: DO NOT come for piercings all three of mine were uneven or crooked. Four!! Of my friends also went here same thing crooked or uneven and one piercer is rude the one that pierced Megan fox I wonder if her shi crooked too.

Fantastic experience: Platinum Ink was recommended to me by a former coworker at a luxury jewelry company. So I trust(ed) her judgment. Based on some of the bad reviews I'm reading. I may not have gone without a recommendation... Daniel pierced my ear lobes on each side & it was the third piercing on each lobe. [If I had paid closer attention in the past, I would've realized that the second piercing was not geometrically aligned in spacing on my ear lobes. But Daniel found a proper placement for the third piercing on each side.]  Either you're ready for a piercing, or you're not. My right ear lobe didn't even hurt & my left ear was in brief discomfort. But I love the results! And I've had an easy recovery. My piercing was smooth. Quick. Efficient. Professional. I had little to no redness, bruising, or negative symptoms (I followed the aftercare instructions.) I am delighted with the quality of my piercings. Before a surgery, I had eleven piercings, including an industrial that never healed (nor got infected)--and a tongue piercing that my tongue kept rejecting even after seven individual piercings. Before I outgrew that piercing and removed it for good. Anyway, it had been at least ten years, and the staff at Platinum Ink were very kind to answer all of my questions because it had been so long since I had a piercing. They offered wound wash and everything has been a smooth recovery. My ears responded well to titanium!

Fantastic experience: WHERE DO I START?!? Marco is a people’s person and an (tattoo) artist! The atmosphere of the room and the personality of Marco, the experience was perfect. Wasn’t a dull moment for the hour or so me and my spouse were there. Mr Marco, as of now (days later)… the spouse and I are beyond pleased for the work that you created. Thanks again for the entire experience. If you’re ever in the Austin area and looking for some body artwork, DO NOT HESITATE!

Fantastic experience: A few months ago, I went to get matching helix piercings on both ears. I was pierced by Daniel and got the 2 piercings for $58 combo. He was pretty chill and quick to the point. After Daniel lined everything up, he had me look in the mirror to check if I liked the placement. The piercing itself was super quick and felt like nothing. I appreciated how professional Daniel was and easy the whole process went. He didn’t sugarcoat anything or make me feel nervous. I loved the way they turned out. 3 months later and I feel like they’re totally healed. I’m planning on going to get the jewelry switched out tomorrow. The aftercare spray was totally worth it too. 100% recommend this place and Daniel!

Positive experience: I came in to get a helix cartilage piercing. I was the only one in the waiting room, filled out the forms, picked out 1 out of 4 options for the stud he could place, and prepaid. It was SUCH a quick experience, I was in and out within 5-10 minutes. I was a little nervous because ive heard that cartilage piercings are more painful than lobe piercings. I didn't feel like there was any acknowledgement of how i was feeling except for asking if I was ready RIGHT before he pierced my ear. But thankfully I really hardly felt it! Afterwards he told me to scan a QR code to get the aftercare instructions. Maybe its because I work in customer service but I felt like it was a bit impersonal. Not bad by ANY means, he was awesome and really professional, but I think some conversation can help build rapport! But I'd recommend them- very painless and quick. :)

Fantastic experience: Based on the reviews was kind of skeptical about getting a piercing but I honestly have no complaints. Daniel pierced my nose, got me in and out, seemed chilled. Maybe it’s just my personality don’t care for unnecessary small talk. So didn’t seem rude or anything to me‍♀️

Negative experience: My husband and I went in there looking to have a sleeve done. We were introduced to Marco who was super friendly and explained everything in detail. He asked my husband to text him ideas of what he wanted done and he did but we never heard back from Marco. It’s been a few weeks now and we were just disappointed with the lack of communication after we left the shop.

Negative experience: Got my piercings done by Daniela howland, he’s not very welcoming and lacks general customer service skills, I wanted my nose pierced in a certain spot (had already been pierced there just closed up) and he argued me out of it. Also got my tongue pierced and after doing extensive research I removed it the same night as it was making my entire mouth hurt and was extremely swollen and bleeding before I even made it home. I’ve had good experiences with other artist at this location however

Negative experience: Let me tell you I have had one of the most questioning expierence’s here at platinum ink i started likening the idea of piercings so I went with the industrial piercing on my ear and the guy at the front was really short with words before I purchased aside the guy without gauges who had them before who pierced me brought me in and Dude Didn’t let me see where exactly he was piercing , didn’t tell me to take a breath just told me to sit back and hold still and went straight to it , he was already in a bad mood and kinda rude ,I didn’t get it where I wanted it I told him I had some questions for him and he told me the answers where on the website link that they give you so he was not comforting at all throught it on top of that the industrial he gave me was short on length and my ear got swollen and worse even after 2 months , and it wasn’t until i got the Tragus from a different piercer there that I realized how bad this place is the piercing went inside and infused with my ear because it was too tiny, I would understand if I didn’t take care of the aftertreatment but I even bought there product and didn’t everything to make sure my piercing wouldn’t get infected or not cared for overall the experience was a load of bull idc what anybody says I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone , I had to go to a real professional to remove them with a close call from getting surgery. I’m not hateful and not saying everyone here is a jerk because there are some really sweet people that work here but just wanted to share my expierence overal lost my trust with this place

Negative experience: I accompanied my friend for her belly button piercing, and upon entering the shop, we were immediately impressed by the inviting atmosphere. The person at the front desk displayed exceptional customer service skills and set a positive tone for our visit. The piercing procedure was swift and efficient, which we appreciated. However, my rating falls short of 5 stars due to our interaction with the tattoo artist, Daniel Howard. While I share a love for anime and didn't mind him watching it, my friend was understandably nervous. Unfortunately, Mr. Howard appeared indifferent to her anxiety and failed to offer calming reassurance or guidance. His lack of interpersonal skills only heightened her apprehension. It's crucial for professionals in the tattoo industry to remember that customer service is an integral aspect of their job. Regrettably, he barely engaged with my friend, and her initial impression of him as unfriendly proved accurate. His response to her anxiety was rather dismissive, stating, "everyone is different, you're either ready or you're not." Additionally, I've visited other tattoo shops where recording was permitted. Instead of politely requesting that I put my phone away, he stared at me until I had to inquire, to which he simply pointed at a sign on the wall indicating a no cell phone policy. It's not the rule that bothered us, but rather his manner of enforcement. Although we had initially planned to leave a $20 tip, Mr. Howard's behavior left us feeling that he didn't deserve it, so we opted not to tip. When I return for my piercing next week, I'll be sure to request a different artist. While my friend showed more patience in this regard, I firmly believe that you should feel comfortable and respected when it comes to altering your body.

Positive experience: sloppy peircers. they will sell you just to get you in and out. my nose piercing is crooked and not fully in line with my other nostril, peircer never gave me chance to check. always in a rush. if its busy, walk away, they'll just stab you randomly and charge you.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Marco while I was on vacation in Austin! These were my first tattoos and he made the overall experience very comfortable and he was very supportive and informative. I am very happy with the outcome of my tattoos and will definitely return there whenever I am back in the area!

Negative experience: ATTENTION: Avoid piercings by Daniel!!! Daughter got three piercings with the Sunday special today. The guy who pierced my daughter’s ears was a complete jerk. No customer service skills at all! He didn’t introduce himself or make eye contact, by the posting on the wall his name is Daniel H. My daughter was really nervous of which he had zero patience. He was more interested with the Anime on the tv or staring off in annoyance versus having friendly small talk convo to help ease her nervousness and when he did talk he was short (abrasive). The lobe piercings do not look symmetrical. The guy in the front was friendly and check in was quick. Two stars for the Sunday special and the friendly guy in the front.

Negative experience: if you want a piercing that is symmetrical do not go here. twice now they have given me not symmetrical piercings. first i got my nostril pierced on both sides and they are off and not in the same place. second, i got my bridge piercing done here. it was pierced deeper towards my eyes in one side which has made it look so crooked and awful. the scarring of a bridge is so bad too so i had to take it out and have a funky looking crooked scar.

Negative experience: I went there roughly a week ago for an eyebrow piercing, and it fell out in my sleep less than a week later. My sister has been here a few times before and her piercings fell out, and she need to get them redone.

Fantastic experience: They’re quick but still take their time and do a great job! I got a piercing so I can’t judge the other work they do. I already had multiple piercings before so I can tell if it was good or not. They’re doing everything what they’re doing professionally.

Fantastic experience: Got my piercings done by Mason. He was amazing! The procedure it self was not painful, felt like a pinch. Overall experience was good . Nice and clean.
