Negative experience: Can’t remember the name of the artist but I got 2 tattoos done here back in 2017 and he went wayyyyyy too deep and they’re the only blown out tattoos I have… hopefully all your artists now aren’t that shitty but who knows anymore. Beware and ask for healed pics of their work.

Fantastic experience: I went to this tattoo shop about a week ago and I’m lovingggggggg my new tattoos, I got some small dainty ones and Marc was extremely helpful in making sure I got what i wanted & where I wanted it! It was my cousins 21st who also got a tattoo along with my uncle (their first) and he made it such a great experience for us all I will definitely come back again when I’m in pacific beach.

Fantastic experience: I had an idea for a tattoo for a few years but kept putting it off for one reason or another. I recently sketched it and decided to walk in to Above All Tattoo based on reviews I saw online and a buddy of mine that had work done by Waffles. I saw Waffles at the shop, and I showed and explained my idea to him. I brought him something without too much detail in hopes that he, as the artist, would develop it into something dope. He did. He put ink to paper, consulted me, refined a thing or two, and less than an hour after walking in, I was in the chair getting a tattoo than I’m happy to have. I’m very glad I made the decision to walk in and see what’s up.

Fantastic experience: Marc took my husband and I as walk ins at like 11:00 at night. He did our wedding anniversary and it was exactly what we were looking for. In the last when I had an artist to “fine line” for wording it ended up bleeding and eventually looked bulky. However, our tattoos from Marc wasn’t that way at all. Super gentle hand, great pigmentation and also the dude knows how to keep great vibes and great conversation. We highly recommend!!!

I got my belly pierced, he finished in less than 5 minutes, afterwards he thoroughly explained the cleaning process. Overall a great experience and will be coming back!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience getting my belly button and nose pierced by waffles. The shop was clean and I felt confident in the information given about how to take care of my piercings. I've had issues healing in the past, but so far I've had no issues. My belly button was re-pierced since I took it out during pregnancy and I was nervous about the scar tissue but it was quick and only slightly painful. I will probably go back to get a tattoo because he seems knowledgeable in tattooing darker complexions. My favorite thing was that waffles stated he would pierce my nose to make it look like its always been there. Sure enough when I went to work no one said anything and when I brought it up my coworkers said they weren't sure if it was always there lol.

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the better experiences Ive had getting a tattoo. I had Marc as my artist, showed him a picture of what i wanted and he was immediately into the idea. He had the design and stencil on in less than 15 mins. Spent the whole time talking conspiracy theories and other obscure stuff while he worked. Got done in 2 hours got a few popsicles after 10/10 definitely going back later in the future.

Negative experience: Not happy with it. They charged $250 for a touch up over an old rose tat and I added a cross to it. (From Kipper) Just finished healing and this is the result. The cross came out raggedy af. Disappointed and definitely gonna have to find someone to fix this up :(

The artist was skilled, friendly, and fast. The shop is very clean and comfortable. The tattoo itself came out perfect. Pricing was also incredibly reasonable given the skill of the artist. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. I had Erik as my artist and he made me feel welcomed. I came last minute and he spent his night drawing exactly what I wanted. The next day he spent 20 hours in one session so I could have the tattoo complete. He never complained and was a positive vibe the whole time. Even though the tattoo took awhile Erik never compromised detail and still delivered the best realism tattoo I had ever seen. I'm grateful for the experience and Erik will be the only guy I go to from now on.

Fantastic experience: Alex was fantastic. My best friend and I were visiting San Diego for a girls weekend and we decided to get tattoos to commemorate the trip. There was a theme we kept coming across in our adventures there, which was carousels. We walked in and asked for him to draw up a design of a carousel horse and he happily took to the challenge. It was exactly what we were envisioning. We didn’t have a lot of time so we kept it basic, but we may or may not have plans to go back in the future to add a little color and bring them more to life. 10/10 recommend visiting Alex and having him bring your vision to life.

We talked to Erik for about 40 minutes going over different designs and sizes, and he was super patient and understanding the whole time. My tattoo came out great thanks to Erik! He also helped me go over how to take care of it since it was my first tattoo.

Kyle was pumped about being able to create his own design to fit what i envisioned. 3 days and only a single draft sketch later, I walked out with a badass piece of art that we both absolutely loved. My son & I were vacationing in California for the week and on our last day, we spontaneously decided to get matching tattoos! We picked them from google with the many years of experience being high on our wish list. Within 5 minutes Tofu drew up a tat based on our desires picked from various Pinterest ideas.
