Fantastic experience: Anita let me just say you are a bloody legend and I hope you know it . 2nd rework now by this absolute rockstar of a human and my my did you do my tired looking tatts a major justice and turned them into something I can FINALLY be proud of . You are welcoming & kind , funny, professional , and bloody talented tatt artist who takes pride in her work ,and is a extremely versatile artist with a can do attitude . I highly recommend Anita to all.

Fantastic experience: All the artists here are badass. Going back to get my leg sleeve finished soon. I love it when the smell of cleaning products hits you in the face when you walk into a tattoo studio. Its a sign of safety and responsibility. Their hygiene practice is fantastic. The work done by all artists is incredible. The humour is excellent. The movies are bizzare (but great!) The talent is astounding and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Would give ten stars if I could! Will update with a photo or 5 when ive had my next session. Anita is my artist for this piece and she has put so much work into my design process and her ability is impressive. Plus she's good at conversing and after 3 days back to back id still have been happy to yarn more! Tynan and Norton both did some amazing pieces while I was there too. Great stuff. Glad I came to Hollows Ink for my biggest piece so far. So happy and excited for round 2!

Negative experience: Do not recommend Hollow Ink Tattoo studio, Went in on the way up to Auckland to have a friend fly out overseas after her New Zealand visit. Previously got her first ever tattoo from this studio 3 weeks prior to the visit today. Informed administration man that we were driving via Mount Maunganui ( 1.5h ) detour to Auckland for the flight, owner had no sympathy or care for the client, reguarding a touch up that would have taken minutes ( entire tattoo size was 20mm ). After informing owner of our travels, he replied with: tattoo looks good, safe travels. Cannot believe the disrespect from a company to paying customers. Will never return as a client again. No respect for customer needs and requirements

Fantastic experience: Hollows Ink is my go to place for getting tattooed. Norton has done all my pieces and I fully trust the process resulting in an incredible tattoo. Good location, chilled vibes, mint tunes and the studio manager is awesome to deal with!

Fantastic experience: Have been in for multiple sessions to see Dan It's a super comfortable & professional environment, they have an AWESOME team who look after you & provide great chats, & their art is absolutely amazing! A pack of Squiggles makes the sessions way better too

Fantastic experience: Had my first tatts here yesterday, they were done by Lucas - guest artist. He was absolutely amazing and gentle. Those finelines were handled easily and skillfully. He was an angel!! He will always be my first and priority choice for all of my tatts in the future. Everyone else was very bubbly and friendly, makes me feel like a friend.

Fantastic experience: If I had to suggest somewhere to get my first tattoo or any tattoo I would always suggest Hollows Ink. I have been getting tattoos from Norton for 6 years and more recently from his apprentice Dan and it has always been an absolute pleasure. The environment and service they provide is unmatched, they are extremely friendly and try their absolute best to provide you with a tattoo that you can be proud of. I've watched Norton grow over the past 6 years and he has created an amazing team that have your best Interests at heart to make sure you are satisfied with the tattoo you set out to get. I highly recommend both Norton and Dan for all your tattooing needs.

Fantastic experience: I have a near completed sleeve, all done by Norton. This dude is seriously talented and I can not recommend him enough! Patience, attention to detail, creativity, humour. He’s the entire package you want when getting someone to repeatedly stab you with ink. 15/5.

Fantastic experience: The best and most creative tattoo artist I've ever had the privilege of being a canvas for. I've got a couple of tattoos from Norton now and love them and just want more of his work. His work is so awesome and detailed I get stopped and asked who did my tattoos at least once a week. Can't wait for my next tattoo from one of the most awesome artists and friendliest person I've ever met.
