Negative experience: Tattoo artist made me feel so ashamed of my scars, artist told me she “didn’t want to ruin her name on my arm” but said she would tattoo me anyways but it might look like shit, the organisation was completely shitty - girls at the front desk didn’t actually tell artists anything (not very helpful!!!), tried to make me feel bad saying i didn’t communicate properly when i had messaged on messenger, emails, conversations on other platforms, and even a phone call where in each conversation i said what i wanted, where, and my concerns. and overpriced the tattoos. i ended up leaving before getting my tattoo, cried outside as i walked to a new tattoo place that i absolutely love. This place made my first tattoo go absolutely shit and made me feel horrible, i will never go back there and never recommend anyone to.

Fantastic experience: Ok hear me out, I know I'm coming from a biased perspective but when your best friend says "come get your nips and you septum done by me I promise you'll love it and I'll look after you the best I can" you listen, especially when that best friend is Jodi. I've never felt more comfortable getting any body art done in my life. Whatever you're thinking of getting, get it, and get it from Jodi. She will make you love it Bonus points for unconsciously singing wildflowers <3

Fantastic experience: I had an incredible experience when getting my tattoo, and I can't recommend them enough! Gabriel (@sumba_man) was the artist who did my tattoo, and his service was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel completely comfortable and took the time to go over the design thoroughly. He offered valuable suggestions from his professional point of view, ensuring the tattoo would look perfect including placement, so I think it’s key to enter with an open mind and ask for an experienced artist’s opinion. Gabriel also followed up with me a week later to check on the healing process, which really shows how much he cares about his work and his clients. If you're looking for a talented, professional, and caring artist, Gabriel is the one to see!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended, the atmosphere is very friendly, with super personalized attention. I got two tattoos done by Sofi Saccone, and she did an incredible job! She was very attentive and caring, her work was super neat, and above all, it was very beautiful!

Negative experience: The only two tattoos I have are from here, I'm removing one of them and will be removing the other one in the future. The person who did mine did a crap job to say the least!

Negative experience: I got a fish hook tattoo from Jules at the beginning of last year. She was rude and unsympathetic that it was my first tattoo and that I was nervous, and she rushed the whole process to suit her. It took her 20 minutes to do my 10 cm long tattoo, and she charged me $180. I called back a few weeks later to ask if she thought my tattoo was healed enough to swim. The receptionist answered the phone, and when she described who I was to Jules, I heard Jules say in the background, 'Oh god, what does she want?'. I was quite upset by the whole experience. It was my first tattoo and was supposed to be special as it was based on a whalebone fish hook my great-uncle gave me. I have Māori ancestry, and when I told her, I could see she didn't really take me seriously by the look on her face. Looking at my tattoo, which is visible on my forearm, now brings back bad memories of my experience with Jules at Art + Body Creative Studio, Mt Maunganui. I am in the process of getting it removed. I'm on my 5th removal session, and it's costing $180 per laser session (the original price of the tattoo itself). More than likely, it will cost 10-15 times the amount to get it. The photo is after 5 sessions, but you can see the line work is terrible. Please don't go to her unless you want unprofessionalism, attitude and terrible art work. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things about this place. We walked in (three of us) without an appointment while on vacation. Somehow they were able to accommodate all of us. The shop itself was clean an inviting. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. All of the artists we saw there were incredibly talented. We were helped by Joe and he was amazing in every way. This visit was honestly one of my favorite experiences in a two week vacation filled with incredible days. I will cherish this tattoo forever.

The artists are so passionate and dedicated to ensuring the work u want is done to such a high standard! Today I had my brows touched up and my experience was 5 star!! Negative experience: I had a tragus piercing done at this studio and unfortunately it was done very unprofessionally. The side effects and discomfort got so extreme that I had to have it removed after a few weeks and let it heal completely. The jewelry was absolutely wrong for a fresh piercing and the way of piercing itself was not correct either. I am very disappointed as it was my first piercing. I don’t know where or when the artist actually learned how to pierce ears but I am shocked how low the quality of the employees seems to be in this shop. I am extremely dissatisfied and very sad.

Negative experience: My first tattoo. No info about prices, no info about tattooist. Very rude lady. I payed 500$ for 15cm round "maori" tatto, which is not precise at all. Nobody cares about you at this place. Nobody informs you about anything. No questions about your skin health. No docs to sign...??? And finally you realize your tattooist doesn't work at this studio, he is just guest artist and he tells you the price. Pls, if you wanna have a tattoo in Mt Maunganui find Visual Intelligence!!!

My husband wanted to replace his wedding ring (which was irritating his skin) with a tattoo of my name around his finger. After being told these sort of tattoos don't work, we found someone here willing to do it. Shannon is a very talented artist and so good at what she does, and she did a great job with his tattoo. She offered to take take a look at it a few weeks later to make sure it didn't need any touch-up (it didn't). Now, many months later, the tattoo still looks perfect. We highly recommend this place for both its staff and for creating a comfortable atmosphere.

Negative experience: Service all in all was great, very friendly and inviting/accomodating. In regards to tattooing - I am totally UNHAPPY with the ink I got done by Art & Body. The design ON MY BODY does not look anything like the picture I gave and the lines don't meet together. I gave clear instruction of style and expectation and not once was I advised that this was not their style. I went for realism greyscale. What I got was not what I paid for...! Thankfully I have a studio that is going to try fix most of the mistakes but the darkness is going to be a challenge...! I'm learning more and more about tattoos, I have come to realise that you have to find someone that has had work done and if you like the style, designs and outcome - book with them, otherwise - DONT TAKE THE RISK - I did and was left frustrated and disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Came here for some help for a existing piercing from another place which had not been so good, I was very grateful for just being able to walk in and get it sorted as well as to change my pericing and lots of aftercare advice and information. The lady was lovely, made me feel completely relaxed and will be coming here for more pericings as well as recommending this place to people ! Brillant Thank you soo much :) !
