Fantastic experience: Honoured to have a tattoo from Maria. Cannot wait to get more done. How real art should be done.

Negative experience: Don't bother with this place. In the initial DMs things were going okay, but their attitude in text made me believe they felt done with me and didn't want to do what they were doing. I asked many times over the course of a few days if i could pay deposit, and i got ghosted. Left on read with absolutely nothing. Their prices may be good but their attitude definitely isn't, they do not care about their clients. I was asking a lot of questions, but this is my FIRST tattoo. I'm weary and want to know the experiences and what to know before jumping in. I went with Bank Street Tattoo instead and they were absolutely lovely. When they replied to me after waiting a while, they apologised profusely and gave me an explanation. They were considerate and even questioned my decisions to make sure i was comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, Jack made me feel like I was at home. Very professional and friendly. All the other guys there were welcoming and friendly. All around great experience and great guys to be around. The outcome of the tattoo is exceptional and I’m really chuffed. Would definitely recommend Jack and the studio itself. 10/10

Fantastic experience: Jo is amazing!!! So friendly and lovely to chat to and an amazing artist 10+ tattoos done by her and I WILL be back The only issue that I had was the receptionist. She was very unfriendly and when I went to tell her how amazing Jo was so I could leave good feedback, she looked at me gone off, shrugged like she didn’t care and say “okay”.

Fantastic experience: Got my tattoo today and the experience I had was sensational my tattoo has came out better than I have ever expected, the time and detail that was put into it is simply exceptional, all staff were friendly and had a good laugh, such a clean, chilled and professional studio, I will only be going here from now on, best experience ever, thank you again

Negative experience: Not happy with the tatoo went to get it didn't answer the phone on several times then they came out the pub . Didn't get who I was meant to get she had a emergency .so got the guy my tatoo is 3 small hearts with 1 letter in each heart and they have 3 different colours in them after he done the outline he said he did not have any blue ink he has ordered it none in the whole shop was asked if I wanted a different colour I said.no .then the lady came in who was meant to tatoo me she couldn't shade my tatoo I have waited 4 weeks for to do it I went up ok she shaded it in but no opolages for waiting so long u can't see the first letter in my heat vert small tatoo cost £50not worth it I'll never be back

Negative experience: I'm genuinely not happy at all at having paid £400 for a full day session and the artist was late by around 90 mins on the day meaning that I got, at most 4 hours of work on the day. I came back to get it finished off and booked an hour but he was done in less than 40 minutes and still took an additional £40. The tattoo is a mess and does not look like the work of someone with the experience he has and it was not a complicated job. I did not have a good experience here at all

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and poorly run tattoo studio. My partner booked me an all day tattoo from a black friday deal. finally got an appointment for the beginning of February, took a day off work, arrived for my tattoo to be told the artist wasn't in yet and to wait around, and hour later I was then told to go home and they would contact me when the guy would be in, weeks go by with no word, finally get another appointment booked for the end of March, took another day off work, turned up and the artist finally comes in, wanders around for 20 minutes and comes in to say he had only just looked at the tatoo I was wanting "the night before" (bare in mind the tatoo was booked 4 months ago and they had had the design I wanted for months) and colour in realism wasn't his thing so he didn't want to do it. they are now withholding our deposit and not giving it back. Avoid Carpe like the plague unless you like being messed around for months on end and loosing money.

Negative experience: Walk past tattoo artist did not turn up got my refund but know apologies

Fantastic experience: Went there for my first tattoo, it was a personal piece of linework, and it was great! Staff were really chill, and the quality of work is incredible. I would strongly recommend. 5/5

Fantastic experience: I’ve been back 3 times to see Jo at Carpe Diem Tattoos. She is such a wonderful artist, took lots of time to discuss size, style, colour and get positioning right. Her roses were just beautiful, stunning in red ink ❤️ My last piece was a custom design shoulder tattoo and it is beyond perfect I get so many compliments on it and the shading and dotwork is just spectacular. Lovely salon full of positive vibes. 100% recommend

I’ve had 1 small piece on my back done, fingers tattooed and my favourite one is my leg piece she done the other day. She came in early to help with numbing cream for me and made the session so much easier just by being her. 100% recommended this tattoo shop to anyone!

Negative experience: Got a tattoo and they clearly overlooked the details of what I showed them and had a hard time booking with them again to get an adjustment (even after agreeing to pay). I've had a lot of tattoos done and this has been my worst experience

Negative experience: I was excited for my first tattoo. They asked me for a deposit of £80. My little one got unwell and had no childminder for my appointment, I explained the situation and they refused to return any money and blocked me on messenger and calls. Not being able to use that money for any other appointment.

Fantastic experience: Took an idea into Steve Kerr, said it was something like I wanted and asked if he could come up with an idea, really happy with my new tattoo, would recommend him and any of the other tattooist

Negative experience: Tattoos are nice enough. Tried getting booked in for over 6 months to get them touched up as so much of the line work had come off during the healing process but they'd book me an appointment and then make excuse after excuse after excuse about how they could no longer honour the appointment. I eventually gave up and told them I'd get someone else to fix it. Don't think they really wanted to fix it in the first place and were just trying to get me to go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Very, very disappointed with Andrew. I went there a month ago to discuss something and ended up showing him that I wanted to have a tattoo and showed him through a pic, the exact thing I had in my mind. He said "yeah sure i can do that ". So I got booked after a month. He cancelled on me the day I was about to have the tattoo,3 hours prior, because he was not feeling comfortable with my idea... I guess?? He was never there to even explain to me himself but another artist did it for him. So frustrated and disappointed I lost a month in waiting for nothing. The other artist was kind enough to offer to do it but I was just not feeling it after that. I don't want to condemn the whole place, but I do not recommend Andrew at all. This behaviour is really unprofessional. He really needs to be more clear about his intentions/concerns way sooner and not at the last minute.

Negative experience: Soo dissapointed with the artist Andrew burns booked in for full day gave over my ideas and some pics I settled on to create a piece, he did not go with any of my idea and his design was well was more insest to my own idea/story, was told they couldn't do anything else (who's gonna get something they didn't ask for!!) I did receive my £50 deposit back which I am thankful for but got home to realize that I had been blocked from messaging,liking or commenting on there page. Soo confused as to why??!!! but thanks to them I will have the chance to find an actual artist!
