I was a little nervous going in, but the second I sat down, the chill atmosphere and Bea’s warm, friendly vibe made all of that disappear. The studio had such a relaxed feel, with great background music that really helped me settle in. Bea was fantastic to chat with — we had some brilliant philosophical conversations that made the whole session fly by. It didn’t feel intimidating at all; it honestly felt like hanging out while incredible art was being created. I’m beyond happy with her artwork, especially it’s perfect. Fantastic experience: My friend and I wanted matching tattoos and did a bit of research before choosing Beatriz. I loved that she had taken time to think of a design before we got there after I'd emailed her with what we wanted. She hand drew the tattoos and she's an exceptional artist. Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience. This was my first ever tattoo, and Beatrice definitely made sure that the whole experience from me setting up the appointment, to the tattoo itself was as easy and even as fun as possible. I went into the appointment with not much information to give her, as I didn’t really know where to start. We talked through different ideas and by the end of the session I was left with a tattoo that was exactly what I had envisioned, and I didn’t even have a vision in mind to begin with. That’s how good she is! Also the tattoo healing process has been going very smooth, a sentiment shared by a friend who also got tatted up here. High quality stuff

Fantastic experience: What a talented artist B is. I sent B a pic of a design I wanted. I am delighted with the way it has turned out , it is excellent , first class. Also to add I would highly recommend going to B for a tattoo, especially if it's your first tattoo and you are nervous or apprehensive. She explains all what is going to happen step by step, and puts you totally at ease. The studio is spotlessly clean and the decor and surroundings are top class. All in all a first class experience and as i say I would highly recommend going to Hive Ink if you are thinking of getting art work, it's a quality studio with an artist in B who is outstanding in her field.

Fantastic experience: I called in for an urgent session, and they came back in just for me, accommodation is really good, I felt comfortable and when it got done, at first I was in love with the free hand drawing of what I wanted, I became obsessed at that point and it turned out looking so so so so good, everyone I showed said it was fire and looks amazing, I will definitely recommend The Hive Ink to my friends or anybody TBVH!!! I’m definitely going in for more sessions soon

Fantastic experience: 30/5 Had gone here today by accident as I had thought this was another tattoo shop Tattoo artist was very professional, the atmosphere and the shop was very welcoming. The artist went the extra mile to make sure I was happy and not uncomfortable with my tattoo, total communication the whole way through the process, you can tell the artist was very passionate about their customers and the tattoos. I will 100% be back for any tattoos in the future. 23/2/25 Decided it was time for another tattoo as always great place to go for a tattoo, was great a having a catch up with Beatriz had lots to talk about that much so the tattoo was finished before I knew it always a pleasure coming here what a great place to go to

Negative experience: I've had two tattoos done by Beatriz. The first was a black-and-grey portrait piece, which I was very happy with-I'd genuinely recommend her for that style, as she's extremely talented. However, my experience with the second piece was entirely different and raised multiple concerns. First, she claimed to have designed the piece from scratch, but I later found out she had taken it directly from Pinterest. While I don't have an issue with using references, I would have preferred honesty rather to being told it was an original freehand design. Additionally, I was never given consent forms, which could have led to legal issues on her end (though I won't be pursuing that). Secondly, during the second session, I raised concerns about the tattoo not healing properly-it was still bleeding a month after the initial work. Her response was, "It was waiting for me to work on it again," which didn't sit right with me. She then made a comment, possibly as a joke, about being on substances during the session. Whether I misunderstood her or not, this is not something a client wants to hear from their tattoo artist. The healing issues persisted for six months, requiring me to consult other artists and a doctor, who ultimately recommended laser treatment to cauterize the area. The third major issue was the inconsistency in appointments and her behavior during sessions. She initially booked eight sessions to complete the piece but only followed through on three-of which only two involved any work. In one session, she didn't inform me until the last minute that her apprentice would be working on me instead. Her behavior during these appointments was highly unprofessional-she made openly homophobic comments after I came out as pansexual, calling me slurs and referring to me as "feminine." She also made inappropriate sexual comments and frequently vented personal trauma to the point where it felt like I was acting as her therapist. I have DMs to support these interactions but won't post them, as I believe that would cross a line. After leaving the piece unfinished, she accused me of being schizophrenic (I have ADHD) and threatened to call the police when I confronted her. She later reached out and offered to fix the tattoo, then, after I had it lasered, offered to cover it up-only to go back on her word after I followed up multiple times. Throughout this time, she repeatedly crossed personal boundaries, including going through my family's messages on my phone, sending photos of me to her mother, and acting inappropriately after I told her I only saw her as a friend. Even after both of us blocked each other multiple times, the issues didn't stop. She posted about me on Reddit (which I found out during a job interview), repeatedly sent the police to my home, and had family and friends stalk or reach out to me online-most recently, her sisters just a few weeks ago. If it weren't for how she treated me during sessions, her handling of this situation, and her repeated boundary-crossing, I would still recommend her as a tattoo artist. She is talented and was initially attentive to the healing process of my first piece. However, the way she begs for reviews, speaks negatively about clients behind their backs, and reacts with threats instead of accountability is deeply concerning-especially for someone with 14 years of experience

Fantastic experience: Beatriz has done not only my first tattoo, but my second and third! I wouldn’t trust anyone more than Beatriz to do a tattoo due to the professional nature of her. I absolutely love the shops decor and it feels very warm as soon as you walk in. I would recommend The Hive Ink to anyone looking to get a tattoo, most certainly Beatriz herself! Fantastic experience: I needed to repair and enhance an existing tattoo and after research this looked like the place to do it. Met with Bea who left me very confident she could deliver and after the first session , she did not disappoint. Excellent work, the colours are really vibrant and I am mixed race so have darker skin but that wasn't an issue. Also had a great conversation whilst the work got done. Overall, a great experience. I already have my next appointment booked. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Bea did an incredible job on my first tattoo two years ago so when I decided I wanted a sleeve for my second piece I knew I wanted her to do it. Bea treats each piece with an artist's sensibilities, taking enormous care over all of the details and involving you with every aspect of the process so that the finished piece really feels like it's been uniquely co-created. She's very honest about what will and won't suit you and will advise what suits your skin tone and body shape. She creates a safe, welcoming atmosphere with fantastic playlists and great chat too. Fantastic experience: Recently had a tattoo done by Beatriz and I can’t praise her skills and services highly enough. Firstly the premises are first class clean and well maintained with a very good feel about. Unlike many tattoo parlours I’ve been to the set up here is friendly and vibrant and puts you at ease as soon as you enter. The advice and design service was amazing I had sent over a rather confusing brief of ideas and when I arrived the design had been moved on and Beatriz had nailed it. I’m very happy with my tattoo and can’t praise the whole process highly enough and already have another appointment booked in to get a cover up done. 5 star services all the way!
