Fantastic experience: Fantastic studio with a talented and friendly group of artists. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived and Matthew and the rest of the guys went out of their way to offer drinks and snacks and to make sure I was always at ease. Matthew did a great job of my tattoo, I honestly couldn't be happier and I'm already thinking of my next one

Fantastic experience: Tash did my tattoo a few months back & since then I’ve been recommending her & Bleeding Hearts to everyone! I was so nervous because I’ve only got 1 other tattoo and that was 10 years ago. The environment at Bleeding Hearts is friendly & welcoming. Plenty of good conversations going on but then also the decor is amazing so you can also happily just sit in silence and stare at the walls if preferred. My tattoo is STUNNING! it’s absolutely what I imagined and Tash did it from a very brief description of what I wanted. Whole process was perfect - I’m glad I did my research beforehand on what I wanted from a tattooist because it paid off. I’ll absolutely be booking back in when I decide what my 3rd tattoo will be !

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit here yesterday and the experience was great! The whole team were lovely and welcoming. I was tattooed by Matt and the whole process went so well and they came out perfect, he was very accommodating and came up with a perfect freehand design for a tattoo I was struggling to communicate the design for over email. Will defo be visiting again!

I was tattooed by Teddy, and they were absolutely great, vibes were spot on. The piece is absolutely gorgeous and I will now be able to treasure their art for the rest of my life.

Fantastic experience: Lucy is lovely, and a great artist. I honestly didn't think I could sit still for that long. Lucy was fantastic from the start. I changed my mind on the design, but Lucy was happy to work with me, and nothing was too much trouble. I love my cover up, and hope to get more work done by Lucy soon.

Fantastic experience: I would 10000% recommend Teddy. They did the most amazing job on a tattoo on my back that needed reworking. The studio is the best one I've been to. I felt so at ease as soon as I walked in. I love the way the place is decorated (especially the toilet... I have a little chuckle every time I go in) Thank you to Teddy for being the most wonderful and loveliest artist!!

Fantastic experience: Bleeding heart is wonderful! Teddy gave me the most absolutely gorgeous tattoo I could have ever asked for! I was made to feell 100% comfortable and ar ease, every one I interacted with were polite and professional, the place was incredible clean and one of the nicest tattoo places I've been too. When it comes to the actual artist themselves, Teddy has designed a gorgeous tattoo for me and I cannot wait to be able to afford to return for more pieces of art. They were professional, friendly, dedicated to making sure the tattoo was everything I wanted. I was extremely picky when it came to how I wanted my tattoo and had done a fair bit of research into artists before choosing Teddy, and they did my ideas justice. Honestly still my favourite tattoo 3 years later. Thank you for my Harley Quinn, she's my beautiful reminder of finding such a safe space to come to have my tattoos done, and I'm so glad I found Bleeding Hearts Tattoo

Fantastic experience: i’ve been here twice now, one for my russian doll and the other one was for a memory of my mum. i’ve had tash do both of my tattoos and she’s so welcoming and so gentle, she makes me feel so comfortable just to talk to her whilst i’m having my tattoo done. i will 100% be coming back to get more done by her. the main reason i choose this place was because i loved the vibe, there’s always something to look at whilst getting your tattoos done and feels like a safe space. thank you so much for my tattoos, they’re beautiful and i recommend you all the time to my friends!

As someone who is neurodivergent and gets overwhelmed easily, they made me feel calm, welcome and completely understood. They were patient, reassuring and checked in with me in a way that felt genuinely caring. Their artwork is phenomenal and their attention to detail is outstanding, but it is their compassion and the way they treat their clients that truly sets them apart. They are the kind of artist people hope to find. I am genuinely grateful I chose Teddy and I will definitely be returning for future pieces. Fantastic experience: The amazing Polly created the most stunning sternum tattoo for me last year, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! From the moment I stepped into Bleeding Hearts Tattoo, Polly and the entire team made me feel completely welcome and at ease. The vibe in the studio is fantastic—so warm and inviting—and the little touches like offering drinks, snacks, and even fidget toys made my visit feel extra special. Fantastic experience: I had a lady Gaga tattoo, Pollypocket tattoos was great she was so lovely made me feel so comfortable, inside and out. The tattoo was everything and just what I wanted and she even made it a little bigger to suit my vision of the tattoo. Would go again would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had my first tattoo with polly after going to many other tattoo studios in the past and I can honestly say I’ve never felt so relaxed and comfortable in a studio. Snacks and drinks provided and everyone is so lovely. Polly offered me as many breaks as I wanted and all the staff were so respectful asking if I was okay to come and look at the work when it was being done. Can’t wait to come back for my next one!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had two full day sessions with Matthew Castle now. Both days were great and the second day felt like being welcomed back somewhere lovely. I know some people hate the ‘this is a safe space’ kind of thing but Bleeding Hearts really is. The fact that each of the artists would be chatting to each other and the clients shows just how friendly the place is. That said, the quality of work and the skill from Matt is spectacular. Both sessions have had some basic idea of ‘I want this thing’ but otherwise it’s been discussion, grabbing from flash or literally sketching stuff on. I will be going back, we’ve already been planning what’s next.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly accommodating and lovely studio & staff. I didn't even hesitate to ask for a moment to readjust to help with my aching joints — I felt safe enough to ask for the accommodations I needed. Matthew was spectacular and comprehensive throughout the booking process, as well as the tattooing. The energy inside the studio was also a highlight of this experience. You can feel the care between the artists and towards the clients. Highly recommend this studio to any neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ folks. It is genuinely a safe studio, and you will be treated with respect and dignity. Can't wait for this tattoo to be healed up so I can show it off :D

Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars I absolutely would! My experience is with Matthew Castle Tattoos at the studio. From the booking process through to the final result, Matthew was informative and supportive. The studio is super friendly and inclusive, and isn’t intimidating like other studios I have visited. The studio really thinks about the needs of those visiting, offering free drinks and snacks. If you are considering a tattoo, definitely check out the artists at Bleeding Hearts, especially if you have been nervous about getting a tattoo due to being neurodivergent or bigger bodied!

Everything was clean, well-organised, and carefully maintained, which made me feel even more confident and comfortable. My tattoo artist was Tash, and she was absolutely lovely. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and cared for throughout the entire process. She clearly explained what she was doing at each stage and kept me updated the whole time, which really helped put me at ease. The space itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with lots of little extras like snacks, drinks, and sanitary supplies in the bathroom. It’s these small details that reflect the genuine care and love that goes into running the shop. All of the artists were warm, welcoming, and respectful, creating a safe, inclusive, and relaxing atmosphere. You can really feel the positive energy and supportive ethos in everything they do. I couldn’t recommend Bleeding Hearts more highly!

Artists work all on the walls and waiting area has snacks, drinks and fidget accessories which I thought was a wonderful touch. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend for anyone who is getting their first tattoo or is a bit anxious like myself! The studio is beautiful and has some amusing little quirks (particularly in the bathroom!) and is very inviting. The atmosphere is really pleasant and relaxed and all of the artists are so lovely and friendly - you feel like you're just hanging out with your friends. I was having a bit of an anxious day but Polly was so understanding and accommodating and really put me at ease, and there was absolutely zero pressure. She made sure the design was exactly how I wanted and was more than happy to make any alterations. She checked in with me regularly to make sure that I was doing okay during and reminded me that I could take a break at any time if I needed to. There are stress/fidget toys, complimentary vegan friendly drinks and sweets, blankets, and earplugs - you can tell how much effort has gone into making this a safe, inclusive space and it's really wonderful to experience. Will absolutely be returning for more!

Polly was friendly, respectful and very accommodating, made sure I was happy and comfortable at all times. Fantastic experience: I was tattooed by Emily - @stanktatts who is friendly and professional, this is my biggest piece so far so I was a little nervous, I was reassured and reminded a few times that I could take a break anytime I needed and that i would be well looked after. I was offered stim toys and a blanket for comfort which was lovely. I adore this peice (Gaston le Fabio) and I couldn't have asked for better care from the artist! I was also sent aftercare instructions and offered touch ups at a later date if there was any drop out . 100/10 I will absolutely be going here again! The studio itself is lovely and the other artists were very friendly! They have a variety of complimentarty drinks and snacks - all of which were vegan! Which i was incredible happy about. There is a suggested donation to help keep them free. They have tattoo balm and shampoo available to purchase for aftercare and they have art for sale. For any lgbtq+ people: this studio was incredible welcoming and comfortable, I am trans non binary and we talked a lot during my session but not once was my gender a topic of discussion and I don't pass as one gender. I would highly highly recommend it here if you're looking for a comfortable and genuinely inclusive studio.

Fantastic experience: I visited for the first time today to get a piece of Valentine's Day flash. Matthew (@matthewcastletattoo on ig) was lovely and didn't make me feel pressured to talk (as I'm autistic and get quiet when overstimulated in new places.) The shop was very inviting and they even had free snacks and fidget/stim toys if you need them which was wonderful to see :) If you're going by bus (like me) then there's a stop right outside the studio, so you can easily catch the NCT 43 there and back to Nottingham centre without any fuss :)

She’s always so patient, warm, talented, and gentle, making every session an absolute pleasure. The whole team at Bleeding Hearts is incredibly welcoming—it’s like sitting with a bunch of friends, with great music, a relaxed atmosphere, and even snacks to keep you going. They’re super accommodating, always making sure you’re comfortable and offering plenty of breaks if needed. Plus, the little touches, like free products in the bathroom if you’re in need, just show how much they care. And if you’re a Twilight fan, there’s a little surprise waiting for you above the toilet! Just an amazing group of talented people—I couldn’t recommend them more!

Fantastic experience: I was tattooed to by Matthew at Bleeding Hearts and what a lovely time I had. I was welcomed into the beautifully decorated studio by Tash and Matthew (who are both a delight) and settled in their waiting area. Comfy seating, snacks, earplugs, fidget toys and more were available for me to use. Matthew showed me the design he had created (which I immediately loved) and took his time to ensure the stencil was perfect before we got started. I wish I could say he made the tattoo completely painless but unfortunately he isn’t a wizard. However, he did ensure that I was ok and comfortable throughout, and told me we could stop for a break whenever I needed it. And of course the finished tattoo is amazing! The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional and I can’t wait to go back for more! Thank you Matthew and Tash!

Matthew made me feel at ease, he explained the after care and it was an enjoyable experience. Matthew was very accommodating and even accommodated an extra (small) impromptu tattoo! All of us were very happy with our designs and I would highly recommend Matthew.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place! From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel so welcome. The whole team is incredibly friendly, and the studio has such a warm, homely vibe—it’s comfy, super clean, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the atmosphere. Tash did an amazing job on my tattoo (as always!). I have been to Tash a few times and she is just a beautiful person and always makes me feel at ease. Georgia did mine and she was calm gentle and explained all she did, checking I was ok throughout. I would definitely recommend Georgia or any of the tattooists at Bleeding hearts. Fantastic experience: Went there a few weeks ago because they advertise themselves as queer and neurodivergency friendly and by god it is the cosiest, nicest studio I've ever been in. I got offered snacks, drinks and a blanket, the bathroom is clean, everything is nice and the artist, Matthew, was a dear. 10/10 would recommend and hopefully come back in the future! ❤️

Also super happy with the tattoo, it's exactly what I wanted and the whole process was very easy and clean. Highly highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful studio, clean and friendly with amazingly talented artists! You will be greeted by friendly staff with a drive towards creating beautiful tattoos and also making you’re session/ experience delightful. The bathroom is also wonderful, I love that there is products provided if needed! And also it’s pink and smells nice. There is a picture of Edward Cullen, as a fan of Jacob I will let that slide as the soup smelt beautiful. If you want a tattoo look no further than bleeding hearts. I’m a tattoo artist myself and I can vouch that this studio is by far one of the best I have entered and been in!

Fantastic experience: My tat isn’t fully healed in any of these photos as I got it a week ago, but the healing process has been great. I got this custom piece from Em (stanktatts on insta) and I’m IN LOVE. I absolutely love their style so had no hesitations at any point during the process. I have several tattoos from several different (very cool) places, but this was the most comfortable I’ve been. The parlor is very cute and it was just us so very relaxed. Em was very nice and friendly while still being very professional and I felt very at ease. Everything was clean and sterile and I highly recommend Bleeding Hearts. Tattoo was practically painless and I’m still impressed by how fine some of the lines are. Hoping I get the chance to come back for more.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic day-sit with Matt. His work is always the highest quality, and I'm ecstatic with the results. Managed to fit in four decent sized tattoos to add to the collection, every one a work of art. The shop is incredibly welcome with every artist being friendly and patient, letting you either chat away, or check out as needed. Their ability to cater to neuro divergence is impeccable, making it a safe space for anyone to get tattooed. Could not recommend enough.
