Negative experience: My first tattoo with these guys and won't be coming back they made a mess of the tattoo its not even symmetrical and very expensive for what it is they also mixed the colour slightly so yh it's a mess I need to either get a cover up or get it redone

Huge shoutout to Adam — he’s incredibly talented and truly knows what he’s doing. He makes long tattoo sessions feel surprisingly short, keeps the atmosphere relaxed, and really pays attention to detail. You can tell he cares about his work and his clients. I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo and the overall experience. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for quality work in a clean, comfortable environment! Deffo coming back for more !

Negative experience: Weak placez had a design messed up, then loads of arhuments. My partner had a tattoo wasnt good either or what was supposrd to be... poor place wanna be artist really.... wouldnt reccommend.

Negative experience: AVOID Year down the line and my tattoo has healed poorly, with line weights being extremely uneven, blowouts and raised scarring from the artist going too deep. I noticed the artists poor technique/ attitude and stopped the session there and then (still paid though- i was practically delirious with pain). When I contacted the shop about this, they dismissed my concerns and passed me over to the artist, who blamed the quality of the work on my aftercare. I am heavily tattooed (fingers and all) and have never had any issues like these (my others are as fresh looking as the day i got them 4 years ago). The artists only solution was for them to continue the work themselves (id rather go to a scratcher than go back to them) and have never had any contact from the shop. Further update 2 years later: Lines with heavy scarring have blown out completely. It's more a scarification than tattoo now. Other artists have since checked it out and were pretty horrified and confirmed that the artist who did the tattoo did it wayyy too deep. I've since tried laser removal and that wasn't half as painful as getting it done. The shop seems to have a poor reputation among those in the know.

Fantastic experience: Adam and Isabella were fantastic through my first tattooing experience. Amazing tattoo in progress, with a bite to eat half way through, and a good laugh throughout. Cannot recommend Thundercat Tattoo Studio enough!

Positive experience: I got a £50 voucher for Christmas (2024) for this studio and they're ok. The tattoo turned out good but they're VERY expensive compared to others me and my friends have been to. They also don't take card payment so they asked me to pay in cash on the day, but I couldn't withdraw that much in cash so I had to make a bank transfer in the end. My friends that have had tattoos (large ones, well executed and equally detailed) from other shops in the area were a bit shocked when I told them the price I paid considering the size and style of tattoo I got. I'd consider getting other quotes first if you're looking at getting something.

Fantastic experience: A great studio with amazing artists. Everyone was friendly and answered any questions I had. I got my first tattoo ever here and I love it - I was tattooed by Zelia and she did an amazing job. Having the option to pay with Klarna was convenient too. I would definitely come here again.

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience at Thundercat. I followed their instagram and they got in touch to see if I wanted a consultation. Had they not have done, I might have let my indecision win for a bit longer - great marketing! ☺️ I went in for my consultation and was recommended Vlady as my artist. We worked together to create a custom botanical piece. Vlady was every bit as excited as I was, and it was awesome to see his enthusiasm. He sent me mock ups of the design as promised and we got started. The studio is clean and the vibes are great. Vlady is an excellent artist who really cares about his client and it shows in his work. We’ve got another couple of sessions to go until the half sleeve is complete but I couldn’t be happier so far! Vlady discussed aftercare with me so I knew what to do, but the studio also send you daily emails for the few days after your tattoo. These explain what aftercare is needed each day which I think this is a great touch

Fantastic experience: I was tattooed by @vlady_theartist and I was absolutely blown away by his talent, precision and an eye for detail. He made me feel very welcome from the minute I stepped in the studio, explained the whole process and in general was very attentive. He made sure I was 100% happy with the drawing and stencil placement and no question was too much for him. Vlad is only very young but his talent is absolutely out of this world and I am already planning my next tattoo with him. If you’re looking for fine, flowy lines and beautiful shading Vlad is your guy!

Fantastic experience: I've had a few tattoos done here, most recently by the resident artist Vlady (as pictured). He's very transparent, very clearly knows his stuff, and incredibly kind. Not only that, he also is insanely talented, and I think he has such a recognisable signature style that anyone can appreciate. I had a few concerns that he sorted out straight away through messaging him on Instagram - he was very understanding about issues such as financing. I really enjoyed the whole process of getting this beautiful tattoo done, and I absolutely hope to get more tattoos from Vlady in the future. His passion shines so brightly through his art. The studio is very clean and organised, and I believe aesthetically pleasing. Everyone in there is really friendly. Also, they allow you to pay by Klarna, which I think is a game changer. They send you aftercare emails too! I would completely recommend - so much talent in one studio!

Fantastic experience: I had my first tattoo with Vlady a couple of weeks ago and had to go back for a second. There was a free consultation where he designed the bluebirds for me and was so creative and thoughtful throughout the whole process. Fantastic experience: I have just had the best experience with Vlad. I turned up with an idea and he created me a masterpiece. I was consulted at every step in the creative process and this extended into my actual appointment. The shop is fantastic, all the other artists made me feel welcome and I had the best experience over 2 separate sittings. I’m in love with my new artwork and Vlad is an absolute genius. Fantastic experience: Got my first tattoo done in March 2025 and the process was easy and friendly. Had a free consultation chat with Vlady, we then swapped design ideas back and forth until I got something I was in love with. Easy to book. Clean, hygienic space and in 3.5hours I was done. Vlady was friendly and kept checking in with me during the tattooing and I loved the follow up emails giving me tips on how to heal and look after my tattoo

Negative experience: had my first tattoo here, friendly staff but tattoo ran way over time, which i normally wouldn’t mind but it healed wrong even though i followed all the recommendations, and it ended up needing touch ups, that i was told i need to pay for them after the two week time frame even though the tattoo wasn’t healed in that time. lovely staff but wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've had an excellent experience with both Thudercat as a studio and Adam (Chapo.tattoo) my artist over the last year getting a full back tattoo which has been completed over a number of visits. Everyone has been incredibly friendly and helpful, right from the first time walking in saying "I want to get my first tattoo and I'm really nervous as I want a full back piece". The staff, resident and guest artists are knowledgeable and happy to discuss ideas. They are enthusiastic and positive about what will work, and both upfront and kind about letting customer know when something isn't going to look good / or it is tricky to heal well and they provide suggestions about what will work better instead. The studio is spotlessly clean, the pre tattoo advice and aftercare advice was spot on, and the pricing was simple to understand. I've been delighted with the experience, as well as the quality of my tattoo, and absolutely recommend the studio, and chapo.tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I have had 2 tattoos done at thundercat now by two different artists and both have turned out top quality. Fillip did a small rose on the side of my face and although it’s small he managed to get detail and shading done, proper cool guy, super chill, listened, tweaked the design got to work and it was all done in good time. Pricing was spot on as well. Adam ( Chapo ) has recently done a big piece on the back of my head. This bloke knows what he is doing. He was there before the appointment time and set up ready to go when I got there, took his time with the stencil and got it bang on even with it being a awkward place he didn’t rush it and made sure it was spot on before he started his craft. The work has turned out brilliant can’t fault it. Love the place, all the staff are great, all up for a laugh can’t wait to go back and get more work done

Fantastic experience: Had a tattoo done by Tom, tattooshamanink and he is by far the best tattooist I've came across. To explain, I have 7 previous tattoos and never have I had this experience. Pre - tattoo he was exceptionally thorough. This included checking the design, ensuring the placement on my leg was centered and looked ok. He checked my skin from previous tattoos and gave far better aftercare advice afterwards. The tattoo itself was done amazingly and he was so delicate I hardly felt it. He didn't rush either. Overall I absolutely love my tattoo and the service he gave. I encourage people to look no further but give this place a go. You won't regret it. Overall thank you Tom!!

Fantastic experience: Had two tattoos here today as a walk in with Andrea. I’m autistic and I felt really comfortable in the studio. Andrea was so lovely and kind and really gentle when tattooing so it was a really good experience. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be going back!

I booked the appointment whilst in the states and the staff were very responsive with their communications! Clear and thorough check in process and after care instructions. Follow up emails with daily care instructions. Hollman, my artist, was friendly and professional. Very clean space and stellar customer service! Highly recommend

Positive experience: I wanted to get a memento from my time in Nottingham and I just walked into the shop. They were brilliant, very welcoming and accommodating of my last minute decision. Managed to talk to the artist straight away and agreed on the tattoos (I got two small ones) and the time to come back. The artist (Celine) was great and did a fantastic job. I was only a little bit concern about falling from the wobbly table but it didn't happen. Overall, it was a great experience. Would recommend! The follow-up aftercare emails were cute, ideal if its your fist tattoo.

Positive experience: I had a 6.5 hour tattoo and the experience was mostly pleasant. I did spend most of this time looking at a couple of damp/mould patches on the ceiling however? It was my first tattoo and I was blown away by the results on first impressions. However, when I got back home, I saw some flaws and when I put this to the artist via text message, he was too proud to see his mistakes. Without the error, it would've been a perfect tattoo for me. I was angry ofcourse because I paid £550 for a half sleeve and it was close to perfection. Here's a photo of my tattoo. Pay attention to the wrist please.

Fantastic experience: I've recently spent 2 full day sessions at Thundercat Tattoo Studio with artist Adam "Chapo", this was my first tattoo which was the start of a full arm sleeve designed wonderfully by Adam based on the reference pictures i provided. The studio is very hygienic & clean, with both the local and guest artists being very friendly and helpful. I'd like to thank Adam & Bella for making it a funny and relaxed experience, the quality of tattoo is fantastic and the aftercare instructions were simple and easy, I'll be returning within a month to continue my sleeve.

Fantastic experience: I had an all day session booked in with Betty. Although there is a communication barrier with her I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. She has created the most beautiful memorial piece that will stay with me forever. I can’t wait to come back for another piece by Betty, and other artists in the store!

Positive experience: My first time at Thundercat studio, I decided to try there after reading reviews. First impressions- I spoke to a guy at the front desk, Niall I think. He was friendly & helpful, a little quiet but nice. The place had a relaxed atmosphere, looked very clean & tidy. My tattoo was done by a guest artist called Phoebe, she led me downstairs to a basement area that was again, very clean & well lit. We were the only ones down there, so it was quiet & peaceful. Phoebe had done the slight alterations that I wanted to my tattoo & I was pleased with it. She made sure I was happy with the size & the placement of the tattoo, by getting me to check in a mirror. Phoebe was professional throughout & we had a nice conversation. Overall I'm very happy with my tattoo & the experience. It was abit more expensive than other studios I've been to, but I'd go there again. Thank you very much Thundercat :)

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo from this studio and had a great experience. Initially my appointment was scheduled with a guest artist but unfortunately they couldn't make it, however the studio helped me rearrange the appointment with their resident artist Lyra. On the day of the appointment Lyra, as well as Niall at the front desk, were very welcoming. Lyra did an excellent job with my tattoo, working very efficiently whilst also making sure I was comfortable during the whole process. I was also able to contact the artist if I needed any aftercare advice. Overall, I'm really happy with my tattoo and would recommend this studio and their resident artist Lyra for anyone getting a tattoo in Nottingham.

Fantastic experience: My first ever tattoo I left it far too long as I thought it would be painful so I asked anyone I saw with a great tattoo and so many said “Thundercat” so I turned up at their cool studios opposite a world class jazz club, great cafes and quirky shops and was put at ease by the professional and friendly staff and customers. I chatted for a while with everyone and their advice and knowledge put me in the mood for a great experience. I choose RED because I’m a Forest fan, socialist and most of all taking my daughter to see Taylor Swift/Paramore in Dublin on Saturday so I wanted the exact font from the cover of that album. Lyra explained everything I needed to know and ….. it didn’t hurt it just tickled! We riffed on life and love like Miles Davis meets Amy Winehouse and before I knew it it was over. The result was perfect! And as the Terminator said “I’ll be back”

Positive experience: I’m really not sure if I would go back to this studio. The man who greeted me was polite when I first arrived. He told me that I had a lady called Betty for my tattoo but in my emails I was told I was having someone else called Sava. As soon as I spoke to Betty, there was a huge language barrier. I felt awful that I kept having to say ‘sorry? Could you repeat that?’ so immediately I felt anxious and wasn’t sure if I was going to actually get the tattoo I wanted, but trusted the process. Betty took me downstairs, and there was 3 other girls down there, who was being SUPER loud, just seem pure ignorant to myself and Betty. I get that tattoo studios, are busy, eccentric, no chill on the swearing, but that was absolutely horrendous. The comments and conversations which these girls were having, I just felt like no everyone in the studio really needed to hear it. I never actually felt comfortable within myself, I didn’t feel ‘relaxed’. As soon as I was on the bed, Betty asked me some questions about my tattoo, and she didn’t understand my answer, so again, it was truly awkward. She got out Google translate and that is how I had to communicate with her. I can’t tell you how awkward I felt from the minute I walked in to the minute I left.

My Tattoo artist was Christian @mrzohe he was really professional and helpful. The actual tattoo took much less time than expected and the studio was really clean. He did a great job and I’m really happy with how the tattoo came out. I had my tattoo done two days ago and the healing process has gone smoothly. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I popped into Thundercat Tattoo Studio in Nottingham on the off chance of finding an artist who could do a cover up on a tattoo from a different tattoo studio in Nottingham. The minute this particular tattoo was finished I knew I hadn't explained myself well to the artist and I came away with something rather unintended. I had a consultation at Thundercat with the extremely talented Adam (Insta - chapo.tattoo) who, very luckily for me, specialises in cover up work. He looked at what I had, we discussed my ideas on what I hoped would work to cover it up, he gave me his honest professional advice followed by a quote and the date was set. I managed to pick up a Thundercat Tattoo gift voucher whilst waiting for my date which really helped towards payment on the day. Thundercat was a relaxed tattooing experience. Adam and Niall on Reception were really lovely, chatty and helpful throughout the time I was there. The Studio is extremely clean and welcoming. I only have 2 tattoos so I am not at all experienced and I can definitely say I didn't find being in the studio intimidating or daunting. On the day, Adam showed me the outline of what he was going to be doing with colours before he started, he then sized up and away we went. Somehow he managed to not hurt as much as the last studio whilst doing what is a much larger more detailed image. I didn't look whilst he was working and only looked once he was happy he had finished. I was absolutely blown away by his talent. The picture, the colours and the incredible detail, were exactly what I wanted, his work is absolutely stunning! No hint of the previous 'unintended' image in sight. Having spent the last 4 months hiding my left arm in public as I was embarrassed, I am happy to say I am confident to allow my arm back into public sight and have already received several compliments on Adams work! Thanks again Adam and Thundercat, I will definitely be back to see you xx

Fantastic experience: After trying a few tattoo studios to get a nice Sanskrit tattoo on my wrist, thundercat were the only ones to come back to say they could do it as it was on my wrist. Marina was a really good artist and it’s small but the lines have to be straight and thin which they are so I couldn’t be more pleased and it looks great, would definitely recommend

She took plenty of time to discuss and print out copies of the designs I wanted and gave great advice about size and placement. When it came to the actual tattooing, she worked quickly and efficiently and the whole process was practically painless. Negative experience: Avoid these scammers!!! Reporting to Trading Standards! I was charged £350 for 2 small tattoos (hand and ribs) on 16th August. My appointment time was 4pm and he didn't start tattooing until at least 6:30pm because he was spending that time tracing my small, simple design, despite me sending over the design and paying the deposit well in advance. The hand tattoo has practically disappeared within 1-2 weeks as all the ink fell out with the scabs, and the rib tattoo has blown out/leaked in some areas of the outline. After getting a few second opinions from other studios, I've been told the ink fell out of the hand so quickly due to the needle not being pushed in far enough, and the rib tattoo has blown out due to the needle either being pushed in too far or at the wrong angle. I contacted them regarding a touch-up for the hand, to be told they'd charge me a further £80 to touch it up because hand tattoos fade quicker, and the guest artist that did the tattoo is no longer there. When I explained that it hadn't faded because it never took into my skin at all to get chance to fade, and that it's the shops responsibility to fix it as the artist was working under their policies, license, and they also didn't prewarn me when booking that any needed fixes wouldn't be available once that exact artist had left, they just ignored me. I've contacted them again to request a refund for the disappearing hand tattoo, and a partial refund for the bad quality rib tattoo, as I'm now getting them fixed at another studio instead, I've once again been ignored. This studio is extremely unprofessional when dealing with compaints. They are clearly ripping people off charging ridiculous prices for bad quality tattoos, and do not want to include any fixes in these unreasonable prices without charging more extortionate amounts for fixing their mistakes. I'm now left with a gappy mess on my hand after paying at least £130 for the tiny tattoo that's nearly gone after 2 weeks, and blowouts in my rib tattoo. For £350 you'd expect a lot better quality, and decent customer service. I will be contacting Trading Standards about this studio since they do not want to fix or refund.

Fantastic experience: Had my second tattoo at Thundercat today and I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough. Both times have been with Adam and he's done a fantastic job each time, as well as working wonders fixing a bodged tattoo done elsewhere. Everyone's really friendly, the place is spotlessly clean just as you'd expect, and all bookings etc. have been handled quickly and professionally. I will definitely be back for more in future.

Negative experience: I have quite a few tattoos from here and when I started visiting in 2018 it was fantastic! But last few tattoos I got the receptionists were so rude! Constantly changing my appointments and being passive aggressive when I told them the new time was a bit early because I work nights (they wanted to change to an earlier time) I also had a tattoo from a girl and she tried to charge me more to get it touched up after a blow out. (I did not accept or trust her to do it) I also find the voucher system strange and expensive if you don’t get a voucher. If you don’t mind rude receptionists and want to support the artist then go ahead as I only continued going for a particular artist who has now left…

Negative experience: Overall seems like a great shop and tattoo is good, but my experience was not great. I was looking for a specific style, was told this guest artist specialized in it but she did not, and she didn't correct this lie when I met with her. After she drew it on me I was under the assumption it would be the correct style and didn't realize until the end, but at that point because we got started so late I had to leave. And working with the shop after brought no help and I don't want this Artist fixing it because of the style issues. So my tattoo is not the style I wanted, no one opened the shop so we got started over an hour and a half late and the artist didn't consider the deposit as part of the price she quoted me.

Negative experience: I had two tattoos at thundercats, the first tattoo was cancelled twice just before I was seen which delayed the tattoo by about a month. The second tattoo was delayed by about 4 hours, when I went in for a touch up on the second tattoo I was told the artist left weeks ago and I wasn't informed of the cancellation of appointment before I arrived at the studio. Overall I do not recommend as I have been messed around a lot and wasted a huge amount of time travelling to cancelled appointments.

Fantastic experience: Had a tattoo with Kubi a couple of weeks ago. Great experience overall, Kubi stuck close to my ideas whilst still adding his own style. The shop itself is very clean and well lit. Kubi is super friendly and put me at ease the whole experience was really relaxed, he also has great taste in music. It felt like he was genuinely invested in the tattoo which is really nice to experience. The tattoo itself looks great and is healing really nicely. Will definitely be back for more

Negative experience: I’ve been here twice and also my partner went recently. Tattoo work is 10/10 but they are so expensive. Weird vibe inside nobody is super friendly. They have great tattoo voucher deals but it’s always a nightmare booking with one and they always try to charge the full amount even after deposit and voucher. Also they only take cash and don’t tell you until the end.

Fantastic experience: Had such an amazing experience at thundercat. Gareth was helpful and had a laugh with us. Made the whole experience enjoyable like you were chatting to a friend while getting ink. Made me and my partner feel really welcome and did an incredible job on our tattoos. We sent reference images and he put so much work and detail into them so they came out better than we could have hoped! The whole team were lovely and stopped to chat. They even stayed late for us because I took so long deciding on orientation. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: went in for my first tattoo, not knowing what to expect at all. lovely lovely environment. super welcoming, new woman on the desk was the friendliest person i’ve ever known so want to add a good word for her too :) had my tattoo with tom and couldn’t be happier. exactly what i asked for, beautifully detailed, and really took the time to ensure that everything was how i liked it, and informed me on pre-care/post care and all factors that may lead to any slight changes. thank u so much guys will likely see you again <3

Negative experience: Wanted to use a gift card I was bought, but was told there was a minimum spend in the studio of £120, which is the weirdest thing I've heard as someone who's got a lot of tattoos of different sizes and colours. Sounds like a money making con rather than caring about the art. Also was told that a simple design was too small as they wouldn't get the details in, which sounds like they are not good enough to do it, as there are people who do miniature tattooing. wont be spending the gift card, which was only enough for the deposit for it.

Negative experience: I got a tattoo touched up here, very very simple design and somehow the artist made it seem very complicated and left me with stray lines that look awful, he changed the shape of the simple design a lot by making some lines thicker than others, all around bad experience. Rude tattoo artist who seemed to be annoyed by my touch up request which is what he was booked for. He also gave me stray lines on my other tattoo and has left me hating my most visible tattoo. For the price I paid I did not expect to have this tattoo artist unable to fulfil my request.

Negative experience: Be warned!!! These lot will rip you off. It was my first ever tattoo so I was blissfully unaware I getting taken advantage of. It took the bloke an hour to do my tattoo and he charged me £350!!!! £350!!!!!!! Every tattoo studio I’ve been since then have laughed at that. It didn’t even heal very well, I believed this was down to me but every other piece Ive had has healed fine. Response to their reply: My change of heart is due to visiting four other studios since my first tattoo here, and absolutely every artist laughing at how much I overspent on that tattoo. Like I said, it was my first tattoo I was unaware of how badly I was getting ripped off considering he spent around 45 minutes to an hour on the tattoo for £350. Yes I was 'super happy' after the session 'cowboy,' it was my first tattoo I was obviously going to be happy no matter what, and not like I would kick up a fuss in the studio how awkward would that be? This review is merely warning others about the pricing, you've edited your response three times to my review. The first angry response was hilarious, then you changed to a more professional response, and now this final response is just pretending to be confused. I'm completely within my right to leave a bad review I don't know why you can't just accept that and move on? I'm not even asking for an apology or anything jheez lol.

Positive experience: This was my first ever experience and tattoo and overall it was really good. I had a guest artist and whilst she was absolutely lovely and very talented, it was the quietest appointment I’ve ever had! I may have benefited from a little small talk to put me at ease; but that’s just me. The other staff I came into contact with were all so polite and attentive and when I decide on number 2, I’ll definitely come back. Thanks all.

Fantastic experience: I went there yesterday to get my first tattoo and I could not be any happier with it. From the very first moment that I had enquired about the tattoo I received top notch service. On the day, everyone in the studio was lovely to me, offering me drinks and snacks. It was an enjoyable experience and I will definitely get my next tattoo again in this studio :) Update: I now have 3 tattoos done at thundercat and soon booking in for my next. Very happy with the experience as always. I do highly recommend this studio as the quality of the customer service and final result is top notch every time :)

Negative experience: The tattoo turned out lovely, however trying to get in touch with someone and actually talk to someone or even get a reply back is a nightmare. I’ve enquired for another tattoo hoping to get booked in, however I’ve been left on read. Not ideal, such a shame as I recommended to friends and family but now going to look elsewhere :/

Fantastic experience: Had my first Tattoo with Tom, he was patient with me through the design and was brilliant with the stencil application making sure it was perfect which is something I was conscious of before going, this put me at ease and the outcome I cannot be happier with! Negative experience: WARNING!!! If I could give minus stars I would! Absolutely customer services. I had booked to have a tattoo at the end of May then the following week. I had the first one done Paulo advised me to keep it wrapped and change and clean 5 times a day for 4 days which caused my tattoo to become angry red and infected due to the moisture. I had to go to a and e due to it still being infected badly when I was due my next tattoo the following week. I asked to RESCHUDLE the appointment but they couldn't fit me in with the tattoo artist doing the second tattoo as she was leaving. So I asked for a refund. I rang for months and emailed multiple times with no response. When I finally got an answer I was told to remove my bad review before they would refund me and said it was my fault it got infected as I apparently didn't follow aftercare when I did. Told me I shudnt technically get a refund as I had cancelled the appointment. Firstly I didn't cancel the appointment I tried to rearrange but they had no dates. Then accused me of it being my fault when I followed there aftercare to a T. Then blackmailed me to remove my bad review! My tattoo is left with patches of missing colour and doesn't look how I wanted on top of being ill and spending money on prescription for antibiotics to heal what they have caused but never asked for any money in return for the poor advice. Wouldn't trust them to fill the colour in for me anyway now but never had an apology or compensation for the suffering I caused and left with a tattoo I'm not happy with. Absolutely disgusted with how poorly they have handled this situation and ignoring me for months on end. Go anywhere but here will be cheaper and do a better job and less pain and disappointment caused for you. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy

Fantastic experience: My partner and i both had tattoo's today done by Adam, we are both chuffed with them - Absolutely amazing work ,we both had song lyrics and the writing is so neat it looks like it been printed on , we cant fault them at all and Adam is a lovely guy. Customer service was fantastic from start to finish , Aby was brilliant sorting the booking/quotes etc and very professional and friendly. Having only just read the reviews on here i'm not sure where the bad reviews have come from as we couldn't fault anything at all and even the other two artists working today had done amazing work too. As for pricing and people saying they have been ripped off ... firstly , if you are moaning about the price of tattoos then simply just don't have one as its a choice to have one. secondly , we both feel the pricing is more than reasonable especially considering the high standard of work , cleanliness and high quality products used. Tattoo artists are very talented people and its a job not many people could do so deserve to be paid well. Overall great experience and will be returning for more tattoos , especially by Adam. Negative experience: Happy with the tattoo, very unhappy with the pricing policy. Originally quoted £130-£160 of which I sent lots of images to give the artist an idea of what I wanted. The completed piece not too dissimilar to the images I sent. Charged £250 for final work, £250 for 1.5 hours work seems unfair and pricey, 1.5 hours included me discussing the design with the artist, her printing off the design and her popping out for a cigarette before starting the work. Tattoo was on the ankle so not overly complicated placement. Complained directly but was told the tattooist had left and I should contact her directly. Wish I’d read the reviews. Ultimately good work but arbitrary pricing strategy.

Fantastic experience: Honestly such a wonderful experience. I enquired about a really small matching tattoo for me and my partner and had my appointment for both of us in the same session two weeks later. Everything was super smooth and the process was so straightforward. Both of us were tattooed within the hour and the vibes in the shop was so comfy that the time that we were waiting for our tattoos felt super relaxed and chilled. Rory did a great job and I'm 100% coming back to Thundercat for my next tattoo as they nailed my minimalist style with great results. 10/10

Negative experience: I had a tattoo here a couple of years ago and it is of absolutely appalling quality. The lines are incredibly wonky, blown and some of it is MISSING now. Also a shed load of raised scarring. Appalling standard of work. I wrote a review on their Facebook page and was bullied into taking it down, as I was more naive I did. They refused a refund and instead only offered to fix it at MORE than I paid for the original tattoo! I’m now looking at having to have it removed or covered up at my own expense, which isn’t cheap, so now I’m angry all over again and I won’t take this review down. Beyond disgusting.

Negative experience: I booked a small tattoo at the start of the year (around July) and was booked in for the end of August to begin with and was quoted £200-£250 and about 2 and half hours which I thought was a bit high but I ignored this red flag as I'd been recommended this studio by a trusted friend. I then waited for my appointment and around 2 days before was cancelled on because my artist was ill which I thought was fair enough so they rebooked me for the end of September. After waiting another month I was cancelled on again with no excuse other than my artist can't make it I was mildly annoyed I was cancelled on yet again but let them reschedule me with a guest artist on the 30th of October who I was told could not cancel. Guess what 30th of October rolls around and yet again cancelled I was very annoyed at this point and asked for a refund on my deposit so I could go elsewhere and was ignored so I went to the shop and was told they would contact their manager after getting no response for a week I sent an email saying I would take legal action if they didn't return my deposit and got a response in the next hour starting the refund process. I'm so disgusted with the service I received and would absolutely recommend against coming here for a tattoo they will overcharge, cancel multiple times and refuse a refund if you want one. [I'm now booked in somewhere else that has quoted me £80, 1 hour and got me an appointment 2 weeks after I booked]
