Fantastic experience: I've had four absolutely beautiful works of art done by Dennis. He was able to bring my idea of my horror piece to life in the best way possible. I spent two full 8-hour sessions on a Saturday with him to complete it and by far The vibes and the personality and the welcoming energy that I felt were phenomenal. I have since had a calf piece done and then two peekaboos that were fine line And still have a half sleeve to plan with Dennis but each and every experience has been amazing and delightful, and I genuinely wouldn't recommend anyone else. If you're looking for a place where you can, just kind of chat shit but also have some absolutely quality bang up work done. This is the place to be.

Fantastic experience: Can not rave about this place enough. I went for a consultation to get a tattoo improved and Dennis was so patient and kind. He listened to my jumble of words and ideas, trying to explain what I did not like. I was unsure how to improve and make it better but he knew exactly how to fix. I felt zero pressure to get something I was not comfortable with. Price was extremely reasonable as well. Can not wait to go back.

Negative experience: I booked time off of work to get touch-ups from the owner. Just to be told the day of that the appointment had been canceled. I was dissatisfied with my tattoo to begin with, but I thought I'd give him another chance to fix his work. I do not feel I got my money's worth, especially considering how expensive it was. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back or recommending this place. I genuinely regret coming here. I'll be covering up or removing the tattoo completely. On a positive note, the owner himself is a very nice person! The staff are friendly and even offered me food to make sure I was good for my appointment. That's very kind. Cheers!

From my first consultation to the end result I was treating with care and great customer service. Dennis was great with adapting to my requests when I wanted a small change in tattoo design and then afterwards when I wanted to change part of the placement. Fantastic experience: I first found patayin on tiktok and drive an hour and half to work with Dennis. I went to him with an idea and he brought it to life. with a few side pieces inbetween. The shop itself is very inviting, and Mikaela instantly made me feel at home. She is so lovely and easy to chat with, as well as being extremely professional ensuring that I was happy with all the designs and placements before getting started. On top of all that she is SO talented and I’m obsessed with the tattoos she did for me - I have already booked another appointment to see her again for more.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't have asked for a better experience getting my tattoo. From our first phone consultation, Mikaela was kind, respectful, and made me feel comfortable and at ease. This feeling was also present at the tattoo studio. The vibes at the studio are very chill, and I always felt totally comfortable and valued. Mikaela is trauma-informed and very conscious of making the appointment an enjoyable experience. She showed me different size options and when the size I originally wanted looked too big to me, she had no issues with sizing down from our original measurement. I've been to a few tattoo studios (including another one in Cambridge that wasn't the most professional), and I've never had a gentler tattoo artist. Mikaela ensures you're comfortable at all times and even asks if the music volume is okay (which is a thoughtful touch, especially for those of us who have sensory issues). They also offer granola bars or juice if you didn't eat enough before your visit. The after-care instructions were clear and concise, and you're given a pamphlet to take home with you. Unlike with previous tattoos, I didn't bleed or scab and barely felt any pain afterwards. I can't speak highly enough about Mikaela and Patayin Tattoo Co. I will continue to see her for any other tattoos I may want, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a very gentle and thoughtful tattoo artist!

Fantastic experience: gotten 2 tattoos with Jamie and she is simply the best! Not only is she an amazingly talented artist, but she is such a lovely and kind person. Fantastic experience: After nearly 4 years of wanting a tattoo and researching multiple artists, I booked my consult with Dennis to complete a floral fine line half sleeve with lots of personalized items. After meeting with him and his wife at his studio, I felt more than confident to trust him with my first tattoo. I had my first sitting yesterday and was in the studio from 12pm-8:45pm. Dennis and his entire team are nothing but incredible! From the moment you walk into the studio you are treated like a queen (or king). Offering you snacks and water, ensuring you are comfortable, the vibe is very welcoming and relaxed, stay late to accommodate your session, and most importantly you are listened to. Dennis’s passion shines so brightly in everything he does, including the staff he welcomes into his studio and the art he creates (it truly is beautiful art!). He is nothing short of a professional and he is just a completely genuine individual that is rarely found these days. Dennis specializes in fine line realism tattoos; so if that is what you are looking for, he is your guy hands down. Something that I really appreciate is the fact that Dennis helps guide you with his expertise; making sure the final product he creates you WILL love ! (Ex. Making sure the placement of the tattoo flows with your body and is organic and will offer his expertise to ensure everyone is on the same page and making final decisions together - there are no surprises and no one should be surprised or disappointed in the final product). I cannot wait for my second sitting!!

Negative experience: I provided reference photos after a consult for two different tattoos. My artist simply copied the photos, and i nervously agreed into getting them as at this point it was day of. One tattoo even looks unfinished due to a lack of colouring and shading. As well, while I was being tattooed I was being brought into shop drama, which I felt was unprofessional. I was too intimidated to even get a touch up due to what I experienced.

He was even kind enough to touch up my other tattoo. The environment of the tattoo shop is awesome, and i’m above and beyond happy with the results of my tattoo!!! would definitely recommend!

He did his homework and had everything ready before our appointment and was double checking everything as we went along. I'm more than happy with the functional art I've added to myself.
