Fantastic experience: Deacon was so amazing! I've been to him for a few piercings over the years and he's always super professional and knowledgeable. He walks you through the entire piercing and aftercare process and is very forward about what you can expect from the piercing in relation to your individual anatomy. He gives his professional opinion on what works best but ultimately leaves the decision up to you, without any pressure either way! Most recently he pierced my left nostril (already had my right pierced) and I was very particular about making sure the piercings lined up properly. Deacon took his time to ensure everything aligned perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the results! I also mixed up the booking date and came a day early for my appointment and he was so understanding and was still able to fit me in! All around incredible piercer with a clear passion for his craft!

I have a difficult tongue anatomy which had me turned down before; not because it couldn’t be done but, I felt, it was an experience/ confidence issue. I decided to get a second opinion and I came across Deacon. Before going in, I read his bio and that gave me a bit more confidence. To be honest, I love and appreciate that he was completely honest with me. He’s easy going, straightforward, and very informative. This made me feel very comfortable to make an informed decision. Deacon didn’t push his services or rush me with my decision making. He is compassionate about his work and it speaks for itself. In the end, I got my piercing and couldn’t be happier with how well the healing process has been. Fantastic experience: Today, I had my second piercing done at Wonderland Studios. My first was a nose piercing which I had done this past September (and fixed last week, as I accidentally pulled it out!!) and this afternoon I had my tragus pierced, which is the front part of the ear adjacent to the cheek. I cannot recommend this place enough! The staff....Audrey, Deacon and Wayne...are all so welcoming and friendly, they're professional but also fun, down to earth, and make you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. The procedure is done in a timely fashion, and great attention is paid to aseptic technique, everything is sterilized perfectly. I am absolutely thrilled with the results! Staff also take all the time you need to explain everything, particularly post-procedure care, do's and don't's, what to expect, and when to come back for follow-up if required. If you are interested in having a piercing (Deacon) or a tattoo (Wayne) I highly recommend going to Wonderland Studios, located on Victoria St near Weber. Awesome people. awesome place, awesome experience!

Fantastic experience: So for a little bit of context, i am super fussy person. An 'analysis paralysis' kind. So dealing with me can really test people's nerves. But let me say this, Deacon, the piercer at the studio was patience personified. And he was'nt just paient dealing with me. He was informative,he was funny and since i was the last client of the day, he gave me as much time as i needed from him. For the record, i got both my ear lobes pierced and the whole.procrss itself was a breeze. But even the pre-piercing selection of the piercing spot and the post-piercing after care instructions werw super thorough and informative, not to mention, sprinkled with his brand of great humour. Highly recommend Deacon to anyon and everyone for any of their pearcing needs. Rught from simple lobe to complicated concept ear piercings or any of the other body piercings. You rock brother. Fantastic experience: I wanted to find an artist close in age and life experience for my first ink and am I ever glad I waited for an opening at Wonderland. Wayne totally got "why and what" for a piece that is based on a medieval map, and pretty much read my mind about what to keep and not keep from the reference image. The work itself is expertly done and beyond my expectations for detail. A dream come true that I've been wanting done properly for years. Thanks Wayne!

Fantastic experience: Our 8 year old daughter got her ears pierced with Deacon tonight and it was an absolutely fantastic experience for us both. He has a great rapport with kids and adults alike, kept the mood very fun and had lots of jokes, and related to her on a personal level which made her feel comfortable even though she was nervous. He explained the process thoroughly and made sure that she knew that nothing would happen without her consent, and talked through the entire process as it happened. There was also a big focus on aftercare which was great, and the place was as hygienic as a surgical suite. If you're looking to get your child's ears pierced, go to Deacon.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for an artist to translate what was in my head into an awesome tattoo. I had a couple of tattoos which were lacking. They looked like peel and stick pictures. Wayne did a drawing which took in my tattoos and created a work of art to encapsulate them. His additions resulted in a couple of tattoos which I hated becoming works of art I am happy to show off in short sleeves. Wayne blew my mind with his creativity, perfection and attention to detail!! I was looking for a piercer whom I could feel comfortable around to be pierced by and had a consultation with him and had an in-depth and thorough conversation about jewelry, gauges, piercing placement, aftercare, and he answered all of my questions with the knowledge and expertise of an experienced and seasoned body piercer, which he is by the way, prior to having my piercing done by him. He has a great sense of humor and wit and true to his character, charm in spades. A true gentleman and professional that I would highly recommend for anyone to meet and consult with. If you want to have a piercing done well with proper care and precision, schedule yourself an appointment and have a meet and greet with Deacon to discuss it. Trust me, he knows his stuff and is one of the most personable and likable body piercers I have ever met.

Fantastic experience: i just stopped in to look at some jewellery and was so impressed with the service i received from Deacon. he was welcoming and friendly and so generous with his time. he offered to order the specific jewellery i needed and helped refer to some websites. he even showed me how to navigate the sites. my husband and i own a tattoo studio in town and gets lots of calls for piercing, which we don't offer, but i will definitely feel good about referring them to Deacon at Wonderland.

Fantastic experience: Did my nose piercing here 2 months ago.The team was amazing right from the first phone call I made to make an appointment , to me walking out with my nose painlessly and effortlessly pierced.They are very professional and absolutely knowledgeable,explaining every step of the procedure. They do an amazing job following up to ensure the healing process is going great. They are conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking. They are priced fairly as well. I do recommend for sure.

Fantastic experience: I had both my septum and my earlobe piercings done by Deacon, and he was both kind and professional! He took plenty of time to sterilize and make me feel comfortable, and the healing process has been painless.

Fantastic experience: Deacon is currently helping us through a "crooked" situation another piercer has left my daughter with. He is super thorough and educated her on what went wrong and why our best option is to let it heal and start fresh. They took the time to fit her in same day to put in a nose screw that had fallen out, it wasn't thier problem but made the time to fit us in to try and help her. Once Deacon looked at it he quickly discovered why we were having so much trouble getting it back in. she is really happy that we found him at this shop and didn't have the option to return to the original one on King Street to have the jewellery re-installed. wish we would have found this place sooner....you live and learn but now there is no better option as far as we are concerned. Plus, the jewellery options here are just amazing and gorgeous.

Fantastic experience: Today was my second visit here with Deacon and I was thoroughly impressed each time. The first time I walked in per the recommendation of a friend because I was having troubles with my tongue piercing which was done elsewhere and they could not assist me but Deacon could! He recommended removal + repierce after it heals and it was definitely the right decision. Upon my visit today, he provided a ton of information that the other place did not give me and it was clear from talking to him that he is extremely knowledgable. Now fully equipped with all I needed to know, it was time to get pierced. Deacon explained the process to me prior to doing anything and made sure I had a good understanding of what was going to take place and how it differed from the method used on me before. He walked me through the process as it was happening too and did an excellent job talking me through the pain a tongue piercing brings. I could not have been more happy with the result and I would highly recommend you see him for all of your piercing needs! Absolute 10/10 and I can't wait to return in a month for some custom jewelry!

Negative experience: tldr: Completely horrendous experience. The piercer Deacon is aggressive and impatient; he should not be piercing anyone. Cannot speak for tattoos, but if you value your personal well-being, time, and money, then do not get your piercings here / avoid the piercer Deacon. I've had 5 ear piercings from 3 different studios, all of which are APP recognized (Association of Professional Piercers) including this studio. This is tangential, but I find it difficult to believe this negligent and inept piercing studio was recognized by the APP – which leads me to question the APP standard. For this reason, I made the extremely regrettable decision (to which I pay the price for after 1 later) to come here for a helix piercing down sizing. Deacon attempted to get my threadless helix piercing out, but was unable to. After several attempts, he started yanking very hard which caused swelling and bleeding. At this point, I was quite uncomfortable, which was clearly visible from my body language. Due to both is incompetence and negligence, Deacon at this point aggressively shouted at me to stop moving, with some profanity sprinkled into his frustration. Eventually, the piercing was able to come out, but at this point my ear had doubled in size, and I no longer needed a down sizing. He blamed the original piercer for putting in the piercing too tightly, but from my thankfully limited time during this appointment, he was simply struggling to get a solid grasp of the post (again, the theme of incompetence). It has been approximately 1 year since this happened, and my helix piercing still has not healed due to the aggressive trauma I experienced here. Since then, I have gone to 2 different studios (all APP recognized) in attempt to remedy Deacon's damage, and all of them have been appalled at the condition in which my ear was left by this location. For my poor decision of opting to come here, I now pay the price 1 year later for a helix piercing that (was healing perfectly before I came here), but now has scarring / irritation that won't subside. For your wellbeing, money, and time, I urge you – please do not come to this studio. Spend the extra time and go down to Toronto where there are plenty of competent and non-aggressive piercers.

Negative experience: Waitist very long, even for a consultatiin.... yet I hear commercials for selling gift certificates. When would those people use them?? Seems unconscionable to take people money when they can't have work done for months!

Fantastic experience: Got 2 vertical top lip piercings by Deacon and I was really impressed by his attention to detail, whether it be with measurements, sterile equipment, piercing quality/appropriate jewelry or being very thorough with information about the piercing, he surpassed expectations. Fantastic experience: This was pretty much my first time being pierced and I had an incredible experience. I’d take the jewelry out and let it heal back over just to get it re-pierced here (jk I love it too much to take it out). The receptionist was super nice and I felt very comfortable there. Deacon was friendly and chill and even though I thought I’d be super anxious because I’m getting a needle poked in my face, that was not at all the vibe. It was chill and laid back whilst knowing you’re in the hands of a professional. Like you could tell that he knew what he was doing which is super reassuring. Overall 10/10 experience!

Fantastic experience: I am beyond pleased with my piercing experience! I went in for a rook and third lobe piercing, and Deacon was able to accommodate for my ear anatomy by doing a slightly modified rook. He took his time through every step of the process, from choosing jewelry to explaining the piercing procedures and aftercare. He also took extra time to downsize an already existing flat piercing that was quite irritated while being free of judgement. Know that you are in good hands when you go to this place - it is professional, insanely sanitary, welcoming, and fairly priced. I’m definitely going here for all my future piercings, and can’t recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: An amazing experience for my anxious 9 year old to get her ears pierced. I would trust no one else for myself or kids. Super clean and sterile every step of the way. Deacon made it super comfortable for her by explaining each step of the process and emphasizing her consent, choices, and bodily autonomy along the way. He also ensured that she understood the required aftercare and how to keep her new piercings clean and healthy. I also liked that kids appointments are booked at the end of the day when the studio is empty so kids can relax. Lots of beautiful, unique and classic jewelry options in the best materials to choose from. This is not a quick and dirty mall ear piercing and the price is reflective of the care and service. Truly a great experience. Deacon is the best of the best!

Negative experience: The most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt at a tattoo shop (coming from someone who has 10+ tattoos and 10 piercings). Went in for a jewelry change and left with an incredibly disappointing experience despite the stellar reviews below mine. I did not know my piercers name until I reviewed my payment receipt - we didn’t have a proper introduction to each other once I entered the shop. As I was explaining the reason behind wanting a jewelry change, I was interrupted twice for accidentally touching my nose (I took this as the piercer wanting to joke around and didn’t think anything of it). As I continued to explain my situation, I acknowledged the accidental things I was doing and I knew that these things weren’t aiding in the inflammation of the area around the piercing (this would be a second piercing in the same area - I’ve had the former piercing for over 10 years). Rather than taking an empathetic approach or giving me space to convey all of what I had to say, I was quickly dismissed and given harsh push back. I continued to re-assure the piercer that I understood his stance but would like to continue explaining the reasons why the jewelry I came in with had become troublesome for my every day life. I was dismissed enough times that I didn’t get to explain that the main reason why I needed the jewelry changed. The conversation was approached and focused on belittling/dismissing me when it could have been focused on education and giving space for the customer to explain their reasons before interrupting them mid-conversation. I quickly became overwhelmed as he explained his stance. I never mentioned that money was an issue nor that I wanted a specific color of jewelry. Ultimately, I had set out time to get this jewelry changed and unfortunately regardless of feeling overwhelmed, confused and belittled I agreed to get my jewelry changed to whatever he thought was best. Also to add, this whole interaction was 9 minutes long -prior to actually putting in the new piece of jewelry -. I believe that the piercer noticed my sudden change in demeanor as I had become quiet, nervous and frustrated. As a result, from my perspective, he began speaking in a less aggressive tone towards my choice and educated me on next steps after changing my jewelry. The stars for this review reflect the following: - The piercer is incredibly knowledgeable in his craft and gives you options before moving to the next step - he also gives you option to not continue - The shop is clean and the appointment software they use made it incredibly easy to schedule an appointment as well as give you reminders prior to your visit Sadly, the poor customer centric approach and lack of empathetic skills made this a regrettable experience and won’t be recommending folks here.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to Wonderland! What an absolutely fantastic experience!! Super clean atmosphere. Deacon is amazing, he took the time to explain each step of his process and sterilized and re sterilized the piercing area and the jewelry. I felt like I was in the most capable hands Moving forward he will be the only person I go to for piercing. I don't know her name but the girl who processes payments and sets consultation appointments is a super cool super awesome friendly chic. She is funny and very easy to talk to as is Deacon. Fantastic experience: My experience here was fantastic and I can't say enough about it! From start to finish in today's session of 6hrs Wayne went over the design beforehand, tweaked it to my full vision and fitted it to my location perfectly with so much attention to detail and perfection! There was a TV to watch and I played 2 movies in this time but barely watched 10 minutes of both together since Wayne was so great to just talk to about all life's little mysteries ;) I can't wait for my 2nd session for it to be completed!

They follow all covid protocols and it's a very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly. Deacon takes his time with you to explain the process and aftercare instructions in great detail. As well as making certain that your piercings are done to perfection. Fantastic experience: Come for the Piercing, stay for the banter. My partner and I found Duncan at Wonderland Studios through a chain of referrals from other piercers, each one pointing to him with exuberant enthusiasm. Booking was easy, and the team was really accommodating. After my partner decided she would also enjoy a new piercing, they were originally unable to find a spot at the same time, but they kept a note, and when a cancelation came up before my appointment they took the initiative to call us back, and offer it up to us. They recalled not only that I wanted that extra appointment, but also the specific piercing I had mentioned casually on the phone. It felt exemplary in a world where they probably could have just waited for the next call to fill the slot. Once we arrived, we knew we were in good hands. Duncan was professional, genial, and walked us through all the jewelry options, healing and expectations up front, but also setting us at ease with easy conversation, and light hearted jokes. Through out the actual piercing he did an exemplary job in keeping himself, the tools, and the work area sterile. We saw the autoclave running & were emailed the proof of sterilization as further proof. All and all, for an experience that I was a bit anxious about, it was fun and relaxing, the work exemplary, and the value superb. We had a great time, and would definitely come back (or should I say definitely will come back) in the future.

Positive experience: Deacon was great and I highly recommend booking with him for piercings. Docked a star because the pricing is very confusing. Almost twice the price of what I was expecting (~$325 for earlobes and basic gold earrings). Ear lobe piercings are listed as $70 for the pair, plus the cost of jewellery. Jewellery wasn't labelled with prices in display, which made making a cost-effective choice a bit difficult. Earring posts were also charged separately at $10+/post. All-in-all a good experience but was a bit blindsided by the cost.

Fantastic experience: A friend recommended this shop and I can now see why. I got my ears re-pierced by Deacon last night and I cannot say enough good things. I was really nervous and Deacon made everything super casual and comfortable and answered all of my questions. He even saved me money and was really honest and transparent about everything. I will recommend this shop to anyone who is looking! Excellent experience. I had also called and spoke with the lovely receptionist a few weeks before and had a lot of dumb questions that she was more than happy to answer. Everyone is super friendly.

Fantastic experience: I called in advance and spoke with the front staff who was very informative and patient while I asked questions and worked together for scheduling. Upon arrival day of same courtesy was given. Deacon came out front and introduced himself going through jewelry and other information. He then brought me to the private piercing area and went over more information in a very thorough but understanding way. He was very non judgemental when talking about my past piercings and jewelry giving informative alternatives and discussing how he could help dress (design) my ear for my up coming wedding. He took interest in small talk and made appropriate witty banter. Very diligent and patient when aligning his marks as we were doing my septum but I did have a slight deviation. When I mentioned I was becoming slightly anxious he very calmly assured me and spoke about breath work then asked if I was ready. Overall above and beyond for cleanliness and friendliness. Definitely worth paying for the proper care, equipment and jewelry. Will be returning for more piercings.

Fantastic experience: Deacon was amazing and both the receptionist and the staff were very kind. It was very professional and the place was kept perfectly clean and sanitized (not just for covid). The price was reasonable and definitely worth it. I would recommend anyone getting a piercing to come here and I will hopefully be returning in the future. Just for reference, I got a nostril piercing.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish my piercing experience with Deacon was excellent. The booking process was simple, and the pre-appointment communication was clear, direct, and well timed. When we arrived at Wonderland we were greeted outside by a lovely receptionist who took time to make sure we were comfortable before Deacon could meet with us. When Deacon came out to do our health checks he noted my pronoun pin and was very cool about it. I felt safe and seen immediately, which is important from someone who's about to alter your body. That vibe only strengthened as the process progressed. In every way and every moment Deacon emphasized clear and informed consent. It's clear that he's passionate about and takes great pride in his work. There was no pressure in choosing the jewelry options. Deacon simply explained the differences in each piece, and let me decide what was best for myself. I appreciate the certainty that the metals used are clean and suitable for my skin, and I felt like I had just enough choice to feel freedom without being overwhelmed. All of the tools used were sanitized in front of me, and I love that it's a fully disposable shop for ultimate health and safety. When it came time for the piercing itself Deacon explained every step, coached me through breathing, and was so gentle and precise that I didn't feel any pain. I'm truly impressed by Deacon and Wonderland. The next time I want a piercing I won't hesitate to call. I don't think the process could be improved.

Fantastic experience: As others have said, Deacon was excellent with my 8 year old daughter. Side note: do your homework. I had no idea how expense the jewelery would be. The studs were $40 each ($80 total) plus $40 for the backs of the studs. That caught me totally off guard when it came time to pay. Not the Studios fault at all, just wanted to help another parent out there be aware.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Deacon for my piercings for almost 4 years now (he has pierced me 8 times) and I will never EVER go to anyone else. Deacon is genuinely the nicest guy, he’s incredibly knowledgeable & professional, and has the ability to put you at ease and make you feel comfortable from the time you walk into the studio, ‘til the time you walk out. The studio is super clean and is always stocked with loads of jewelry options (sometimes so many that it can be hard to choose just one!) for any and all piercings. Most recently I had a couple piercings done that I was extremely nervous about, and I was feeling quite self-conscious going into the appointment. As soon as I entered the studio and began talking to him, that feeling disappeared — it was like I was in the presence of a friend and I knew it was going to be a-okay. Thank you Deacon, for being the best in the biz. I appreciate you so very much and I’ll see you again soon…you know we have lots more planned!

Fantastic experience: 11/10 experience here. Very clean and professional. A little on the more expensive side but it's definitely worth it! My piercings have healed perfect and I'm obsessed with how they look.

Positive experience: Took longer than was necessary to change out a tragus piercing (almost 45mins). Small talk/piercing aftercare instructions is nice and appreciated but it was just borderline excessive and felt more like a degrading lecture than a concerned conversation.
