Fantastic experience: I went here about 2 and half years ago to get my both daiths piercings (at the same time). I saw an intern (Sam), who was wonderful. They were very kind, and careful. They didnt like the position of one of the piercings, took full accountability, and after discussing it with me corrected it (I think I was also offered a discount). Both healed perfectly

Fantastic experience: My mom and I went to get piercings this afternoon and we had a phenomenal experience. My mom got a nose peircing and I got an industrial. Tyler was our piercer and he did a phenomenal job. His area was super clean, he used two needles for my industrial, and he had a very calm and professional demeanor. We both were pretty nervous and Tyler explained everything really clearly and it went really quick! We'll definitely be coming back. 10/10

Negative experience: I originally got my industrial here by Salem, and it went really well! Piercing was well done and has been healing fine. Came back recently to get my stacked conch done (planned for three). Was told at the front desk that they'd be doing two and to come back in a few weeks to get the third done. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time, but sure. The piercing itself went fine, but I wish I had backed out when they pulled out CURVED barbells for conch piercings :(. I'm no piercer but even I know that's wildly incorrect. Was advised to use only warm water to clean the piercings and that when I came back for the third piercing that we could switch the other two to hoops. Piercings are NO WAY IN HELL healed enough in three weeks to switch to hoops. Went to Inkwell to switch the first two conch piercings to straight barbells and we both agreed on a lot of things that Mutiny did. Also, the jewelry was made of silver and nickel?? Wasn't told this at all. Wouldn't recommend unless you want the wrong jewelry put in and for the jewelry to be made of silver and nickel, not titanium :(

Fantastic experience: I'm finally finished my sleeves, still have 2 final sittings for touch- ups and color, but what a great experience in every aspect, l met kurt one of the artists there 4 months ago, told him what I was looking to do , he was more than helpful in doing lots of coverups and laying down new ideas for me, over the last 4 months I have had a super awesome experience, all of the artists there seem so creative and supportive to what you want to achieve and then some, kurt is a very humble tremendously funny and keeps the whole shop laughing, l got to know most of the artists and employees there to the point of first name bases, what a super nice crew of people, l really felt right at home every time I was there, the owner will is a cool down to earth brother, always enjoy talking with him and all the artists up there, the cleanliness was really outstanding, l was so happy to see that, so I guess what im saying is, when your ready for some ink work, mutiny is really an outstanding shop, l wouldn't go anywhere else...definitely 5 stars in every aspect..

Negative experience: I went to Munity to get my helix done by Salem. A few weeks later I came back to get two lobe piercings done to replace the ones I had let close as they were uneven to the other ear. My helix and both lobes never healed right despite trying everything you can think of. My helix grew a terrible keloid (still visible after 2 years now) and had noticeable permanent staining that almost looks black (after seeing two doctors, and another artist, I eventually came to learn that it was a result of putting in silver jewelry despite never being warned about this). I thought that it was something I had done to cause these issues, however I have multiple other piercings done by someone else and never had any issues. It seems pretty unlikely that the issues from all three piercings were caused by my doing, right? A few months after I got pierced I came back to Munity to get three “fine line” tattoos done by Chloe with some friends. The first few months were fine, but noticed over the year that two out of my three tattoos had “bled” so much that they are now no longer fine line tattoos where the wording and details are virtually impossible to see. I eventually reached out to Munity and spoke with Chloe. The only solution I was given was to add more to the tattoo which was the last thing I wanted to do (add more ink to an already spreading fine line tattoo doesn’t seem like a great idea…). Anyways long story short and after lots of money pretty much wasted on 3 failed piercings that have left visible permanent marks on my ear, and 2 failed tattoos that I can either ignore for the rest of my life or get removed, maybe consider going elsewhere to get your service done.

Fantastic experience: Had a double nipple piercing done by Salem! Holy cow they were awesome! I was really nervous, but right from the moment I walked through the door I had my nerves calmed. The girl at the front desk (sorry I don't remember her name..) was really nice and professional. She definitely helped calm my nerves. Then Salem called me back to get to work! They were meticulous about the cleanliness and sterilization of the area and tools. They walked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. I would 1000% recommend going to see Salem for piercings! I'm so happy I got them done. Thank you Mutiny and Salem for a wonderful experience!

Fantastic experience: There is no one I trust more than Jess when it comes to my tattoos! She is so talented and leaves me speechless every time. It's been such an honor to be tattooed by her over the years, and experience her growth as a kickass artist. Much love Jess! Til next time!!

Fantastic experience: Got a Donkey Kong tattoo here and it looks amazing I love it, done by Jess. She took her time with it and always asked you to make sure how well you want it done needs more shading etc, I'm definitely coming back for more.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. I went in for a walk-in piercing to get my second lobes done on both sides. The experience while getting them done was pleasant - everyone was nice and the process seamed seamless while I was there (which is why I rated 2 stars over 1). Once my ears were pierced I realized they were horribly uneven and the piercer told me down the road I could redo my original lobe piercing on one side to even them out which makes no sense since I’ve had that piercing forever. If were to follow their advice I’d have a random hole in my ear for the rest of time. It also felt like a cash grab since I think the issue should’ve been rectified then and there. I ended up contacting another nearby shop and told them about my experience to get some advice on how I should approach the situation. They felt SO bad that they offered to remove the extremely uneven piercing and recommended I try to contact Mutiny again to get it redone. Once I got the piercing removed I was hesitant to contact them again and they told me to wait 6-12 months to get it redone and that they would charge me full price again. I spoke to the piercer who removed my jewelry and another one to ensure I was getting the best advice. They both told me that I would only have to wait a couple of weeks for the hole to heal because where I would need my ear pierced wouldn’t be ANYWHERE near where the last one was. This whole process ended by the same person who ended up removing my earring felt SO bad about this situation that they did it free of charge again for me. I couldn’t believe that an external person had so much pity that they would offer THEIR services for free over the place that I got my ear pierced. This same person also changed my jewelry on the other side and my ears now look great and are healing well. I honestly couldn’t believe my experience and after talking to some friends I heard some other negative experiences from this shop. I would definitely recommend doing extensive research before getting permanent holes in your body to avoid this type of rigmarole. Would not recommend to anyone. I’m convinced I could’ve bought my own piercing kit and done them more evenly myself!

Fantastic experience: I discovered Muting several years ago when I got a small tattoo done and have never thought of going anywhere else. Jess has done two spectacular tattoos on me and several on my kid. She also just “fixed” one that I got when I was 18 and added to it and I am so happy with it. While I was there I also got my nose pierced after wanting to for years. Salem was so good to me, took the time to make sure it was placed right, and did a fantastic job. I thought I’d screwed it up (I whacked my nose) and they got me in right away. Salem checked it out and assured me I hadn’t and all looked good. Thanks so much Salem and Jess and all the staff there. You go above and beyond and my kid and I will never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Got pierced today by Salem!! Salem has always made my experience safe, comfortable and wonderful. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I got my next set of ear piercings and nose from her today, and it was an amazing time! I highly recommend her, and will always keep coming back for more!

Negative experience: I got a septum piercing done here with the head piercer. I went in and with the needle up he took deep breaths with his eyes closed in front of my face before moving in to pierce. I wanted to leave then and there but I didn’t want to be mean since he opened things up already for the piercing. Once done the first things he said was “so, it’s a little crooked” and then told me how all noses were different. He told me to pull on it as it healed and it would right itself slightly. It wouldn’t be perfect but it would be a bit better. I was shocked. One side was halfway through my nostril and the other was pressing against the inside of my nose. I ended up calling another place and having a consult with them. She recommended I take it out as you can’t “fix it” by pulling on it and shouldn’t be pulling on a new piercing anyway. I ended up taking it out and I was so sad because I was so excited to get it! Plus I wasted that money for nothing. Some advice from me would be, if you pierce someone badly, make things right. Let them look at it and take it out if it’s crooked. Then give them a free “fix” for when it’s healed and can be pierced again.

Negative experience: Very rude person at d reception!!! They should definitely learn some customer service skills. I was late for d appointment and I understand if they don't provide service on d same day! I wa polite to say sorry for being late and I sad I will reschedule it! But the person on d reception was extremely rude! Now I thank god I didn't get d service done, cz it would have been same experience! Would not recommend going there at all!

Fantastic experience: We’ve now been to the shop 3 different times for piercings with Salem. She is so amazing. A couple weeks ago my daughter got her nose pierced and was super nervous and Salem put her right at ease. She’s very good at distracting the younger ones while she gets the job done. The piercing looks amazing and has healed very well. She’s a true professional and we will go to her for all of our piercing needs. We’ve also done second lobe holes on the same daughter and first lobe piercings on my younger daughter. She is amazing and I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Awesome staff! After a bad experience at a different piercing place, me and my friends came here. They gave us a good deal when we got our jewellery switched, and taught us the proper aftercare. Highly recommend getting pierced here.

Fantastic experience: I had my third lobes pierced by Salem this time last year and they have healed very well! Salem was very kind and did the piercings so smoothly. Salem even accommodated my friends and myself as a small group who all got pierced on the same day. I liked that the jewelry cost was included in the advertised price and was very reasonable, no surprises here. Clean set up. I definitely plan to see Salem again for more ear piercings in the future!

Fantastic experience: Got my navel pierced by Salem here 2 weeks ago and it was an incredibly pleasant experience! The shop also had a very pleasant vibe and everyone was really nice! If you are interested in getting a peircing, especially a navel piercing, I can't recommend Salem enough!!

Fantastic experience: I contacted Mutiny a few weeks back about replacing my nose stud with a nose ring. I was set up with Omen, who was very knowledgeable & incredibly thorough. They walked me through what ring they thought would work best, told me what they were using, how to clean the items & told me what to look for should I want to get another ring on my own. Everyone I interacted with that day was super kind & even complimented me on my hair bow. I'm glad my former employee sent me to them for an incredible interaction. I will be back when I want another piercing!

Negative experience: I got a couple tattoos with them in the past few years. For the first, the woman was really great (not sure her name), but made a substantial mistake (smaller than requested; it was supposed to be an exact trace). For the second, the guy (Kurt?) was a bit mean (sexist maybe?) which really made it a much less enjoyable experience. No issues with the place otherwise, but giving it 2 stars because I'm going to a new place for my next one.

Fantastic experience: Got a tongue piercing from Salem and she was super nice, the whole process was smooth with no complaints, and it was easy to get back in touch with her to downsize it. The studio is also great and everyone I spoke to at the front desk and over email while booking was sweet!

Negative experience: Review of Mutiny Tattoo:**I recently had an absolutely terrible experience at Mutiny Tattoo, and I feel compelled to share it to warn potential customers.The customer service at this place is beyond rude and completely unfair. They took advantage of my teenager by refusing to refund the $100 deposit. My daughter had a tattoo booked for Friday at 3 PM.I attempted to contact them three times on Wednesday, but no one answered the phone. I left two messages regarding cancelling and still haven't received a response. I called again on Thursday when they opened and spoke to the receptionist about cancelling the appointment and how to go about getting the deposit back. Her response was the deposit will be kept as it has been over the 48 hours, Really? I had tried to connect with you since Wednesday morning. I asked to speak with the owner. Will the owner decided to return my call Friday afternoon. The conversation with the owner, and he began by saying, "No matter what you say, you're not getting your deposit back." It’s shocking how they treat their customers like garbage! They seem to have no regard for client satisfaction or respect. Instead of understanding that circumstances can change, they outright dismissed our concerns and kept the deposit without a second thought.To add insult to injury, I was told by the owner, Will, “This is a good lesson for your child to learn.” Really? That's the kind of response you want to give to someone who is trying to make informed decisions about permanent body art?I cannot stress enough how disappointing this experience was. If you value respect and fairness, I would recommend looking for a different tattoo shop altogether. Save your money and your peace of mind!

Fantastic experience: Got both my lobes done by Omen here, and would recommend them to anyone, they were quick, professional, and as painless as possible! And helped me months later when my backer fell off! The staff here is super knowledgeable and friendly! And the atmosphere is always impeccable with low stress and lots of laughter! I've been to many shops in town and would say they are the happiest shop in Kingston!

Fantastic experience: I got double nose piercings done by Salem (@saintofstabbery), my overall time in the shop was nice. Salem herself was very kind and helpful and answered all my questions. I will definitely be going back to her. I am looking forward to seeing how these piercings heal. 3 Month Update: I got my lobes done as well. Both my lobes and double nostrils healed great with no issues. Walked in today to get my jewelry changed and was able to get in in under half an hour.

Fantastic experience: I can not find the word to adequately explain how amazing the staff is. I personally dealt with Salem and she was kind, educated and advocated for her clients. An apprentice was also present, it was a learning experience but remained completely professional. The entire team from booking to the cleanliness of the shop to other tattoo artist and piercers were amazing. Would absolutely recommend anyone to this shop.

Fantastic experience: I can not thank the team at Mutinty enough. I went in with a bad piercing (from a much less experienced shop) and asked if they could take a look as I was in extreme pain. Within a half hour, I was in Salem’s chair. I was terrified and in a ton of pain. Salem looked at my piercings in the most respectful supportive way. I was provided with the utmost professionalism and comfort that anyone could ask for. My piercings ended up needing to be removed. Salem removed them with the most gentle care and educated me along the process. Their apprentice sat in for this experience and also provided comfort, education and suggestions moving forward. I don’t know that I could feel more comfortable and supported in any other shop and will be forever grateful for my experience at Mutiny

Fantastic experience: My sister and I both went to get our second earlobe piercings done. It was a wonderful experience, we didn't even feel it. Salem is awesome. Very professional, friendly and clean studio, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I got 3 lobe piercings from Salem (@saintofstabbery on instagram) and she was fantastic! I had no pain and they're healing nicely. Salem is super communicative and, when I had a problem with one of my piercings, she was available on Instagram to answer questions and arrange a check-in appointment. I can't recommend Salem enough for piercings!

Fantastic experience: Lovely place! I didn't catch the counter clerk's name, but she was friendly and helpful. My piercer was Salem, she did good work and was helpful and knowledgeable. Barely bled, barely leaked at all, barely crusted up, already very nicely healed up; Salem did really exceptional work!

Fantastic experience: Got my septum piereced by Salem and had an awesome experience - she was so patient, explained the whole process very thoroughly, and my piercing looks amazing :) update: its been a couple months and my piercing has healed perfectly! I had very little swelling and it never got infected when I followed their aftercare advice.

Negative experience: Rating this a one and only a one. I've had my nose recently done and my nose ring has fell out more then 8 times since its been done. Really annoyed and it's not even fully healed. I keep getting nose bleeds cause of it.. I'm scared to see the after math of changing it out in a few weeks. No infection yet, and hoping it won't get an infection cause of it. I hasn't even been a full 2 months yet..

Fantastic experience: Apollo is my favourite. I’ve been going to them for 3 years now and I would never go anywhere else. I just got my thigh tattooed and they made the process way easier… it was pretty spicy!

Negative experience: Not worth going to them I legit made the appointment told them I’d be a bit late then show up and they told me I couldn’t get it done when I wasted $40 bucks on gas from brockville to Kingston my next one should be free because of that but meh I’ll find a different place to get my eyebrow done

Negative experience: Whoever worked the phone today needs a refresher in customer service. Just said "no" when asking if there was any availability for a piercing on Monday, didn't give any alternative available dates and was very short/rude.

Fantastic experience: Super kind and understanding when changing my piercing. I had gotten my nose pierced in Asia and was changing out a stud for a hoop. Piercer was super nice and navigated a bit of a different removal seamlessly.

Fantastic experience: Mutiny is an AMAZING shop! Kurt is so talented. He's completing a sleeve for myself, and my wife (who was terrified to be tattooed) was so impressed by his work she was convinced to go in and get two pieces, which he did incredible work for as well. Can't say enough about this friendly shop, who make you feel right at home there, and everyone is laughing and joking with one another. Great place, and the only spot I'll be getting my work done. My adult daughter is heading there tomorrow for a consult. Everyone who sees his work is blown away by what he can do! Front desk staff is also very friendly and accommodating. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: Have had 3 tattoos done by Kurt, he’s a great guy, amazing artist and the work he does is excellent quality. All healed well and look great even years later!

Negative experience: Super rude and unprofessional over the phone. I was told someone would look into something and get back to me “in a few” and 2 hours later still heard nothing then I got an ungodly amount of attitude calling the second time. Not the first negative employee about I’ve heard among my friends either.. done with Mutiny now, really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I are nomad traveling in eastern Ontario and Brandon did his best to get us in and Apollo did an amazing job of the art and the ink for us to achieve our honeymoon mission. THEY ARE AWESOME

Fantastic experience: I waited on posting this because I wanted to give time for healing before reviewing. I got a second set of holes in my lobes about four weeks ago. Salem did my piercing, and they were amazing. I asked them after the first lobe, if they had numbed my ear when they disinfected, because I didn’t feel anything! Salem said, “I’m just that good,” and I sure can’t argue. There was hardly any swelling afterward, and honestly it was like a non-event in terms of any sort of trauma to the tissue. A month later, I’ve had absolutely no troubles with them at all. Also, everyone I spoke to at the shop was friendly and helpful, including emailing with Brandon when I set up the appointment. Note the jewellery cost is included in the piercing cost. Really have to give this place my highest recommendation, and Salem in particular.

Negative experience: Went there last year and had a nice experience. Went back there a few months ago and had a terrible experience, mostly due to the atrocious attitude of the employee who was answering the phone and was receiving the customers. When I was picking out my jewelry, he literally threw the items in front of me carelessly and was very rude throughout the entire experience - much to my bewilderment as I have never seen that type of attitude so blatantly directed towards paying customers. Unfortunately, due to this, I will not be coming back, nor will be recommending them to my friends. *EDIT* In response to the owner's comment - Of course, everyone has bad days - but I'm afraid this employee's bad day affected not only mine, but other customer's experience at your business - perhaps this is more a reflection of a lack of professionalism. :)

Fantastic experience: I recently got a tattoo done by Apollo and she is absolutely lovely. She constantly checked in with me throughout the tattoo process and made sure I was comfortable. She went over all after-care with me and answered any question I had.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to see Apollo her twice now. We drive 1.5 hrs to see her. My daughter and I are very impressed with the work she has done on us. I just give her an idea and she nails it every time. We will be back for sure (9 for me and 4 for my daughter so far)

Fantastic experience: My piercing fell out yesterday night. It’s fairly new being it’s 6 months since I got it and I was panicking since all the parlours were closed. Mutiny got me in for an appointment within a half hour of my calling and Salem saved my piercing. So thankful for you and the business. You guys are awesome, I will definitely be returning!

Negative experience: Got my nose pierced here almost a year ago and now I’m left with a keyloid scar. It was infected a couple days after I first got it and it took months to heal. A different shop seen it and mentioned the positioning was off, and the jewelry used was extremely cheap, causing even more irritation. My sister got a belly ring here as well the same day and she had to take hers out after 1 month it was badly infected. Don’t waste your money for piercings here, and save your body from getting a scar. Unfortunate.

Negative experience: I got my daith piercing here 6 months ago and got 2 piercing bumps that have been there for 3-4 months. I just found out it was pierced incorrectly. Now it has to be taken out because it’s not going to heal. I will not be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I love the atmosphere they’ve created. Very welcoming and fun people to be around. I’ve had a piercing done by Salem and a tattoo by Chloe and both have done excellent work. They have a nice variety of artists and styles to chose from. By far the best shop in Kingston that I’ve been to.

Fantastic experience: Salem pierced my tragus and it was a great experience! She talked me through it and distracted me as I was very nervous. Went through after care very well and added key details. Everyone at the shop was so friendly and kind! Would recommend going!

Negative experience: Not impressed with this place...piercer is amazing for apprentice and keeps her area very clean rest of the shop doesn't seem so clean. Also some very rude staff giving dirty looks and kept walking back while I was being pierced and peeking made it very awkward. Also talking negative about previous staff in front of clients...thats not right and makes you wonder if the staff or owners are the issue not previous staff.
