I can honestly say whoever you end up with as an artist, you will not leave disappointed. They were all able to take my ideas and add their own touch to create work I never would have expected to be so amazing.

Fantastic experience: I had come to Inkwell in hopes of their piercer being able to help my irritated lobes heal properly after suffering for almost a year after having them pierced elsewhere. James was incredibly understanding and thoughtful when suggesting to change the jewelry and sizing to help them heal. After doing this, my ears healed up in a week! Thanks James! All of the staff I encountered while there were super nice and the place had a great vibe. I’m looking forward to going back to Inkwell for future piercings and tattoos!

Fantastic experience: I was someone who swore for years I would NEVER get a tattoo….that was until my daughter got a couple of beautifully done tattoos at Ink Well, and I started to follow the page and saw for myself the thoughtful, and beautiful pieces being showcased. I jokingly said that we should go get matching tattoos, which came to fruition in 2024. We both now sport identical dragonfly tattoos, done by the very talented Alison. I’ve since gotten 2 more tattoos, also done by Alison, as well as a piercing done by James.

Fantastic experience: Love this shop. Years ago when they first opened I got my nose pierced then a small tattoo as a filler on my arm. Went back got my lip pierced and the most recent I was seeing Chelsey who i absolutely adored as an artist. I gave her my whole leg to do what she wanted and I got a massive upper thigh tattoo. All of the artists there are amazing and from someone who is covered in tattoos and been tattooed by many artists this shop is by far one of my favorites. I’ll be back soon once I find some room on my body and figure out what I want to start

Fantastic experience: I have known Jason since elementary school. His talent, his professionalism and the business he runs are best of the best. He is dedicated to his craft and bringing his clients visions to life. He’s done small text for me, he’s brought to life custom pieces based off visions and ideas I have shared and he is currently working on correcting a piece I had done by someone else that didn’t turn out how I wanted it. Not only can he bring your visions to life, he exceeds expectations with simple yet brilliant adjustments, additions and detailed linework, colour and image placement. He works with the client and explains his plan before he puts ink to skin. 5 stars all the way.

Fantastic experience: I had my eyebrows done by Taylor in 2023 and I absolutely love them. I went back this past fall for my touch up and was very satisfied with her work once again. I don’t usually go downtown but the parking lot right next door is so convenient and I was surprised to see that they had expanded their business, meaning Taylor now had her own private area for PMU which I thought was great. I would recommend Taylor to anyone wanting to get PMU done. Cleanliness, professionalism, and skill level are all top notch.

Fantastic experience: This tattoo and piercing place is absolutely incredible. Everything in there is such well done and curated to give you the best piercing and tattoo experience you could possibly get. Every single one of the workers is so welcoming and they do everything with so much care, comfort, and cleanliness. I got my faux rook and conch done by James and it was such a great experience. I just got a tattoo from Tara and everything about that process was absolutely incredible. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Fantastic experience: Amazing service and amazing staff! Would highly recommend to everyone!!!!

Negative experience: Got quoted $600 for a simple 3.5 inch bicep tattoo of a cat. I went to two other reputable parlours for a quote and they both told me the same tattoo would cost me $175. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here. Edit: Both tattoos I ended up getting from another place in Kingston cost me $275 total. This was the source material- $600 is insane. I had mentioned that it was my first time getting tattooed, so I’m not sure if that’s why they jacked up the price. If that’s the case, clearly this place lacks integrity and honesty.

Negative experience: Drove 40 minutes in a snowstorm for a consultation. I tried to cancel because of the weather but it was a $100 cancellation fee on a free consultation. The consultation lasted max 5 minutes and wasn’t taken seriously and felt disrespectful. The artist didn’t look at a single reference photo or measurements/anatomy. (I was there for an expensive full sleeve.) Came in super excited but left disappointed and rightfully angry.

Fantastic experience: James was able to get earrings into three of my previous piercings which saved me money - something we can all use! He explained everything and was simply delightful.

Fantastic experience: My fiance and I had tattoos done by Doi in the past month, and he was absolutely amazing to work with what we were looking for. The shop was fantastic to work with in scheduling consultation and appointments, being very responsive and was extremely clean. Fantastic experience: Got my stacked conch fixed here by James! They were pierced with the wrong jewelry at another shop a few days prior to coming here. James fixed them with such care!! Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue, as I visited Taylor almost three years ago to have my powder brows done. Getting my brows done by Taylor was genuinely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It has dramatically improved my confidence, my daily routine, and my overall appearance. Before seeing her, I used to spend so much time filling in or drawing on my eyebrows because they were extremely sparse from years of over-plucking and shaving. During our consultation, Taylor took the time to work closely with me to find a shape and colour that truly suited my features. She was incredibly thorough and spent over an hour carefully mapping and adjusting the design until we were both completely confident before moving forward. Throughout the appointment, Taylor made me feel completely comfortable. She talked me through every step, continually checked in to make sure I wasn’t in pain, and ensured I felt relaxed the entire time. Every visit since then, including my touch-up, has been the same warm and professional experience. She is such a delight to be around — friendly, warm, interesting, and very easy to talk to. As for the results: I consistently get compliments on my brows, and most people can’t believe they’re tattooed because the shape and colour look so natural and flattering. They have transformed my makeup routine, allowing me to leave them natural for a soft everyday look or use the perfect outline to fill them in when I want a bolder, more dramatic brow. Almost three years later, my brows still look incredible. I’ve only needed one small touch-up, and even that was more of a personal choice to darken one tiny area. Otherwise, they look almost exactly the same as the day they healed. I truly cannot recommend Taylor enough. Her skill, patience, and artistry speak for themselves, and based on my experience, I’m certain you won’t regret choosing her. I’ve included photos of my brows both with and without makeup so you can see how beautifully they’ve held up.

Fantastic experience: Great jewellery selection and the most painless piercing I've ever gotten!

Fantastic experience: James the piercer was the absolute best. I could not think of anybody better to get a piercing from. I get lightheaded around needles and, according to my friends, my face fully turned green when I stood up from getting my nose pierced. James brought me juice boxes, laid the chair down, and talked to me about panic at the disco until the blood went back to my head. Fantastic experience, really lovely guy, quick and painless piercing. The overall vibes of this shop are really great too. Everyone I talked to was lovely and the place looks so cool. Me and my friends played chess on fancy couches while waiting for our piercing appointments. Coolest shop ever!

Fantastic experience: Very professional and clean operation, caring, and excellent customer service by very skilled artists. I went to cover the USA flag on my shoulder that I got when I celebrated dual citizenship, now I wanted it gone but didn't want to lose the Canadian statement due to upcoming European travel. This new tattoo covered up my first tattoo so being inexperienced and forgetting the first one, I was nervous about the process. Doi was patient and listened to my concerns and preferences. He worked as if I was his only client and checked in often during the process on my well being. Ink Well takes each client's needs seriously, works hygienically, and I can't recommend them strongly enough. If I get another tattoo, it will be here. Thanks for the awesome maple leaf....I love it!

Fantastic experience: Taylor did an amazing job on my brows. Very professional, kind, and easy-going. She is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want when getting brows tattooed. Love our chats and, of course, the results! Will never go back to drawn-in brows. I LOVE my new powder brows.

Fantastic experience: James Silver removed a piercing for me that I'd been unable to remove for years, and was very professional and friendly. Beautiful and clean studio, with welcoming atmosphere- would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: James did an amazing job at opening up ear piercings that hadn't seen earrings for 30 years. He was amazingly patient and kind to a client who was very anxious. While one hole was easy to open, the other took quite some time. He kept me informed at what he was doing, which helped relieve my nervousness and told me what to expect over the next couple of days, & how to care for the piercing. What a gem he is.

Negative experience: EDITED: Added new images for clarity, taken day of review I’m never the type to leave negative reviews, but unfortunately after two negative experiences I do have to warn others and be candid about my experience. I got a tattoo from Marc about a year and a half ago and it was singlehandedly the worst tattoo experience I’ve ever had. Despite my worries, i was told my excess bleeding was “normal” but I had never bled that much with a prior tattoo, nor had as difficult of a healing process. After consulting with a doctor I was told I had no underlying health concerns and that the artist pushed far too hard and deposited far too much ink into my tattoo. It took nearly a year to stop looking like a mangled, scarred piece of skin and finally start looking like a healed tattoo. Due to the excess scarring I am missing a chunk of ink within the tattoo (circled) as well as a large bit of ink blown out (also circled). I then, after some recommendations from friends as being “the best place to get pierced,” came back for two basic lobe piercings this past December. The piercer was very nice and quelled my anxieties, but nearly 6 months later after following all of the proper aftercare to a “T” my lobes show no signs of healing. They look fine from the front, but from the backs of my ears they are still bruised, swolen, leaking pus, and red. While I cannot speak for the other providers at Inkwell, after two bad experiences I cannot say I’ll be back. It's unfortunate and I'd love to see Inkwell do better in the future.

Fantastic experience: Went to the pircing side today. Needed help with a piricing and they really came through. They were very nice and helpful

Fantastic experience: The first thing that caught my eye was how clean the establishment was. This is incredibly important when getting a piercing. From the moment I walked in the shop, everybody was incredibly professional, nice, and helpful. The piercings I got were In pretty private locations and throughout the entire process James was just amazing . He answered all of my questions (and trust me there were many), walked me through the process every step of the way, ensured that I was comfortable (well as much as you can get), reassumed me, and treated me with incredible grace. He is very knowledgeable about his trade and I would go back there in a second. If you work with him you’ve won the lottery. I have always gone outside of Kingston for tattoos but because of my experience today I really want to continue this amazing relationship with this wonderful business. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Just needed to get a nose piercing re-done (I got it in France; it wasn’t bad but the backing piece inside my nose was big and intrusive). Erin did the exchange; very professional, super-clean and relatively painless! Lots of choices for the jewelry. And the best news is, I like my piercing again! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: James is really amazing. I've come in twice with issues with my piercing and he was incredibly patient both times. He removed both my messed up piercings for free and was super gentle and attentive. Definitely recommend inkwell for a place that's friendly and professional :)

Fantastic experience: I got a Daith piercing here about a week ago, from James. He was incredibly nice and friendly and the piercing felt comfortable, I was not tense or nervous at all. The piercing itself was done very fast and efficiently and it did not hurt at all, and the piercing area & tools were well sanitized.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Taylor for tattoo brows as well as a colour refresh and I recommend her to everyone I know! She took extra time and care to map out my eyebrows to perfectly suit my face and was amazing to listen if I wanted a slight adjustment OR to explain why she wouldn’t recommend a certain change. Negative experience: I paid a ridiculous amount of money to get my cartilage piercing (more than $200 and that’s with one of the cheaper studs they had). If that’s not bad enough, when they shortened my stud a few weeks later, I don’t think they disinfected the stud properly and they made it way too short. Despite my piercing healing well before that, my ear got really badly infected and swollen afterwards. This combined with the stud being too short meant that there just physically wasn’t enough room for my piercing to heal properly and it eventually popped out. Gotta love spending that much money for an ugly scar . This happened almost two years ago but I randomly remembered what happened and I’m still upset. It was healing so well too before they shortened the stud.

Fantastic experience: My husband started a half sleeve yesterday! Jason was so kind, polite and talented. The rest of the staff were also friendly and approachable. This shop is clean and very organized. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Terrible service. Literally extorting students because they think everyone is wealthy. Based on their website I thought I would pay just a bit over $60, maybe even $80 for a piercing. But when I came they told me it was $60 just for the booking, $80 for the piercing, and $20 for a piercing stopper ball thing (which I never asked for, I was just in so much pain I couldn’t refuse). So I ended up paying $160 plus tax for one nose piercing, which would’ve been $45 at most in Toronto. They even tried to talk me into buying their piercing cleaner. I paid for it all because I was in too much pain to argue. Literally extortionists. The next day I saw the exact same nose stud they gave me for $15 on Etsy. If you’re debating between here or Toronto, save yourself the trouble and go to Toronto. Don’t even let me get into the terrible attitude of the piercer. She made me feel so tense, and made the experience worse then it had to be. Also My friend politely asked to record the piercing process, which is very common to do, and she rudely refused. I’m not against people protecting their privacy, but the camera would’ve fully focused on me. And the lady could’ve politely refused, but she rudely refused. Sad that I couldn’t put 0 stars :(.

Fantastic experience: I had my right nostril pierced here earlier today with Skylar. It was remarkably easy, quick, and delightful. Skylar and everyone I met was very kind and made the shop a very nice environment to be in. Skylar not only gave me a great piercing, but also answered all my questions and made sure I left with clear and precise aftercare instructions. I had a great time and left with a great piercing. I won't get a piercing anywhere else after visiting Inkwell.

From the moment I walked in for my consultation with Taylor to the moment I walked out of my second session, she was incredible. Fantastic experience: I went to Doi to do a cover up of a tattoo I had done as a Mother’s Day gift from my children. They drew hearts that I asked a different artist at a different location to do and unfortunately a complete mess was made of my kids drawings. We couldn’t save my kids drawings but Doi went above and beyond to cover up my tattoo! He is unbelievably talented. You can trust him to do beautiful work. He is a very nice person too that makes you feel comfortable. I’m posting before and after work

Fantastic experience: Jason is a pro! He took his time and explained everything to me before starting. It actually didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would, only in two places. I love it. This was done in memory of my son Jonathon and it's perfect. A heart because I love him all my heart and he has taken a part of my heart with him and music. Treble and Bass clefs because he loved his drums and music and was a genius at it. Blue because that's the colour he always wore when he dressed up. Negative experience: I had a fabulous tattoo done by Chelsea several years ago. It was such a great experience, I went back 4.5 months ago to get a small tattoo done. I will never go back. I had my consultation and tattoo done by Marc. I was talked into getting the tattoo larger than what I wanted. By this point I had already paid for the consultation and didn't want to lose my deposit. I didn't feel comfortable with the artist. I had to sit in the waiting area at least 1/2 hour past my appointment time before getting started. The tattoo ended up being the wrong shape and all I see when I look at it is a big black blob. I absolutely hate it and the experience with the artist was not pleasant. I cried when I got home. I was hoping I would get used to it but I still hate it and I'm looking to get it covered up. I have several tattoos, some smaller, some larger. This is the first one that I've ever wanted to cover up.

Fantastic experience: Came in to see Doi and once again he did not disappoint! I got my first tattoo of sharks from him and I got a lot of compliments. He was also able to capture every detail of my daughters’ portraits. The picture does not do it justice. It’s even more amazing irl. Definitely going back to see him for new ink 100/10

Fantastic experience: I went to Taylor for permenant make up brows and I am so happy I did. Not only is she lovely and incredibly professional but also great at her work. During our consult I really appreciated that she took her time and mapped my eyebrows so they were right for my face. She did an incredible job. I was so happy after my consult I booked right away with her. Many of my friends have asked me about the procedure and I always tell them to do a consult with Taylor and they will not be disappointed. The staff at inkwell were so nice and inviting during my visits. The shop has such a great vibe and it is always so bright and clean.

Negative experience: i had an appointment at inkwell last november. i never bother to write reviews, but i’ve heard about so many awful experiences with their piercer that i’m surprised they have a good rating on google. i went in as a minor to get a simple nose piercing done. they required a 55 dollar deposit for the appointment that i had made myself. right off the bat, sabrina was extremely rude to both me and my mom (we had all required documents, this was not the problem). i tried to understand that maybe she was having a bad day or something, but this could not excuse her “service”in the end. she had asked me to pick out jewelry and i was having a difficult time doing so. all of the options were very expensive and this was my first piercing so i wanted to make the right choice! she snapped at me and asked if i even wanted a nose piercing and told me i should get something else. i didn’t want something else. she was impatient when i asked about the healing process. she kept stomping away to the back room and rolling her eyes. exaggerated anger… it genuinely just made everyone incredibly uncomfortable. luckily, my guardian was there to defend me and they unfortunately ended up getting into an argument. after deciding i was no longer comfortable with this bitter woman poking a hole in my skin, i asked for a refund of my deposit… even just as credit at the shop. i did not feel that it was my fault that their piercer treated me this way. sabrina assured me that it wasn’t possible, as i had taken up her time. it was under 20 minutes, by the way, that it took for her to absolutely explode at her client. while she stomped away to the back room for the nth time, i asked her coworker at the front desk the same question. he said yeah, of course they could do store credit. so clearly she was acting in anger when she lied to me about my money. then she came out and started arguing with him. it was just so laughably unprofessional. usually customers like feeling comfortable when they’re getting a hole poked in their skin by you. so i left the shop, very upset. i never got my money or any form of store credit- i was not really interested in anything they had to offer anyways, as she was their only piercer. i ended up going to another shop where i was welcomed warmly and treated like a human, but this experience was awful and has really stuck with me. i will always tell people not go here for piercings. interesting to hear that they’re still having problems with sabrina, i hope they figure it out seeing as the shop itself has a good reputation.

Negative experience: Incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Inkwell as what should have been a routine jewelry change turned into a painful and unacceptable mishap that resulted in an extra, unplanned, and unrequested hole in my nose. I’ve been to Inkwell for piercings many times, I’ve had two pairs of earrings pierced as well as my conch pierced there, and then I recently got my nose (nostril) pierced last month by their new piercer Sky. I went in a month after getting my nostril pierced to have my jewelry changed, and the piercer seemingly forcibly shoved the dull threaded flatback post through my nose! She didn’t use a threader to follow the hole through the front, instead, she estimated where to insert the jewelry through the inside of my nose (which I trusted at the time), and created a new hole. When I went to look in the mirror afterwards I thought it was bizarre that my piercing was a bit lower than it had been before, however, I tend to be afraid of confrontation and didn’t want to say anything. However, it was glaringly obvious as I had a keloid around my nose piercing and it stuck out like a sore thumb right above the ’new’ hole I didn’t want. I then went home and showed my friend, who also noticed that the jewelry was visibly in the wrong place, and debated over contacting the store and piercer to have the situation resolved. I called the store and the owner was super nice, and told me to come to the store to have it fixed, however, I said I didn’t want my piercing touched again as I was afraid after what I had just experienced. This hurt exponentially more than my nose piercing did, probably because I was borderline a micro-dermal punch in my face with dull jewelry lol. I returned to the store with my friend as I get very anxious approaching issues, and I talked to Sky, but she acted clueless and lied to my face. She told me that she ‘didn’t know I had two holes’ when I came in, and I told her I did not have two holes when I came in (She was literally the first and only person ever to pierce my nose). She then claimed that her posts weren’t sharp enough to pierce my skin (but the hole didn’t create itself!). I told her it was incredibly painful, and asked if there was anything she could do such as a refund, she said she couldn’t, and explained that I purchased the jewelry so I couldn’t be refunded, which was fair enough (I just thought I’d ask as I had to spend even more money to fix the issue she created). She didn’t own up to her mistake, denied it, and didn’t even apologize. I don’t know if she was too embarrassed to admit that she messed up, if it was inexperience or arrogance, but piercers should be responsible for their mistakes, and should take every precaution when handling piercing changes (such as using the proper tools i.e a threader), and not just estimating the placement of a piercing by the inside of someone’s nose, then forcing it through. **the dot in the centre of the keloid is where my intended/original nose piercing is, and you can see where the jewelry was placed instead. In the second photo I removed the top of the jewelry from the post. This long winded review is not intended to come across as harsh, as I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, however there is lack of integrity and accountability that go hand in hand with professionalism that has not been adhered to in my most recent experience of this business.

Negative experience: I have been tattooed here (multiple times) with no issue, the artist & young gal at the desk were lovely. After these pleasant experiences, a friend (who is older, and values my high standard opinions) asked me for a recommendation for piercings. Ink Well was my first choice. It was also instant regret, I was mortified for bringing her. She had wanted 4 piercings (one set being a pair) and I had wanted 2. Sabrina was extremely cold, rude and belittling right out of the gate. Refused one of her piercings as “too many” (perhaps, but it wasn’t a deal breaker) and I was tried to be convinced that I could only have 1 of the 2 (1 being a simple lower lobe!). I will spare the many ways I could describe her personality, but the constant aggression was over the top. Nearly throwing sanitizer at me for pointing to my ear should have sent me packing. For reference, I made a career out of teaching etiquette and customer service at a high end business, I could have filmed this interaction for case studies. This was worse than most “worst case scenarios” I’ve used and I’ve read many more!After all was said and done, and we each spent hundreds(!) of dollars, I took my friend to lunch and apologized profusely for such unprofessional / unpleasant behavior. A year later and I am still haunted by this embarrassment. Yes, it’s taken me this long to finally be able to share. To top it all, my friend who had just retired from a life of military service, used her new veterans card which Sabrina had tried to deny because it was unfamiliar to her. In case anyone is unaware - that’s a gold level card. A step above active military - for completion of service! Not many can do that! For myself, I have a slightly different card (CF1) which is an acceptable form of MIL ID under the Dept of National Defence - and it was denied. I was so irritated with all of this nonsense that I couldn’t bare another second in her condescending presence so I had to leave. (Which takes a lot for me.) I’ve dealt with some very nasty customers in my time, but I have never in my life had this type of experience from the retailer! Being cash only, I should have walked away with the discount I deserved. I was so mad I immediately went to online reviews to see if was a one-off occurrence, but I ended up making popcorn reading the sub reddits. I’ve never done that before. It’s unreal she was employed that long, and publicly defended to boot! I was SO HAPPY to see she was “professionally departed” - I hope that means fired. If that’s the case, it should be published publicly & honestly to shame her like she did personally to her victims/clients - with an apology on behalf of the business. Nevertheless, I wish you could financially right all of those people she wronged, but it’s understandable that it would cause a deficit to the business rather quickly. My last but - by far most serious - comment; is that my Daith got so badly infected 2 days later (I have many piercings, some 20+yrs old) that I ended up at an emergency evening clinic fevering & sick. I required very strong antibiotics, time off work, and nonnegotiable medical advice to remove it. The reason I’m leaving this review now, is so any further employers / people seeking new piercings steer clear of Sabrina Mack. I gave 1 star to reflect the piercer, but added 1 out of sympathy to my tattoo artist.

Fantastic experience: I had permanent makeup (brows) done by Taylor, she is incredible. The time and attention she takes to ensure your outcome is the best that it can be is above and beyond expectations. Her work is perfection, she ensures complete satisfaction prior to leaving and takes so much time and care completing your permanent makeup. The shop is welcoming, clean and a great atmosphere all around! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: The piercer here has a really bad attitude. She’s really rude and condescending. I see this comment In a lot of reviews here and the owner never addresses it. She makes a lot of customers really uncomfortable and unhappy. Also, the jewellery is insanely overpriced. If you come here for a piercing, expect to spend at least $300. I got a piercing somewhere else and the experience was fantastic. I really just don’t recommend this place, at least for piercings. My nipple piercings turned into areola piercings, to be honest. They ended up swelling so much that we just had to take them out. So all that pain and money was for nothing. If the owner responds, it’s probably going to be some condescending remark about how my appointment was a long time ago since they’ve done that on other reviews. But honestly, it took me this long to write a review because I didn’t get any other piercings after that horrible experience. I just recently got a new piercing and had a fantastic experience and knew I had to say something about this place.

Fantastic experience: BEST and CLEANEST parlour i have ever been to. My sister and I went today to get pierced by skylar. She did my sisters tongue and my snake bites. She was fast, gentle, kind, incredibly knowledgeable on aftercare, and again, SO CLEAN!!! These were my 14th and 15th piercings, but my first piercings at inkwell, and i can say without a doubt that i will only be returning here! Best parlour i’ve ever been to and best piercer i’ve ever had !

Fantastic experience: I had PMU done with Taylor and she was amazing! She did such a great job with my eyebrows, I would recommend her to everyone. She answered all of my questions and concerns, and you can just tell she knows what she’s doing. The shop is clean, and everyone on the staff that I interacted with was super friendly - 10/10!!

Fantastic experience: I just had the pleasure of sitting down for 17th hour of being tattooed at Inkwell from Jason. After several appointments, I have gotten to know Jason, and would highly recommend him or any of his colleagues. Not only is the shop clean and professionally run, but the talent is second to none. I've received both a back piece and an upper arm piece from Jason, and will be completing my sleeve as well as doing a second back piece with him at the very least. I am stopped on a regular basis by people who see my ink and ask where I got it done. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Carla

Fantastic experience: I went to Inkwell for a tragus and a flat piercing, I have 10 other piercings already but this was completely different from every other experience I've had and I'm so impressed. The shop was clean, like immaculate. Everything was sterile and sealed with the expiration dates and lot numbers of everything recorded. Sabrina washed her hands and replaced her gloves constantly. She was just amazing. So professional and kind. The placement of both piercings is flawless but after marking the dots I asked if we could move the flat down a bit and she said no, it wouldn't work with curve of the back of my ear and she's completely right. I so appreciate the foresight and attention to detail because other piercers would have just said "sure whatever you want" and let me screw it up. Both piercings were cartilage and there was no "crunch", nothing. No bruising, bleeding, barely any swelling, they were hardly even sore after. She explained aftercare in detail and was so sweet, it was just such a good experience. The expertise and the quality here is worth spending a few extra bucks on proper titanium or gold jewelry. I won't ever be going anywhere else, I wish I'd had everything done here because this was hands down the easiest piercings I've ever gotten.

Negative experience: My friend came here to get jewelry for a newly pierced conch, she left almost in tears. Her piercer, too bad we don’t have her, was fear mongering my friend due to the fact that she did not get the piercing done by a professional, telling her that the piercing was infected (which it wasn’t) and that she would probably end up at the hospital. Taking out your frustration on someone who is paying for a service is just plain wrong, especially for someone who is just coming in for jewelry. Super unprofessional, people should feel comfortable, especially in a setting where they are getting a needle stuck into their bodies.

Fantastic experience: Very easy to book appointments online through the website. Clean and sanitary shop. Greeted and cashed out by very friendly front staff. Sabrina was quick with the piercings and explained thorough aftercare. She was a little stern at times, but as long as you followed her instructions everything was fine. There is only one person (+ your piercer) at a time is allowed in the piercing room per shop rules, but we were fine with this. Piercing jewellery is a on the more expensive side (I believe they were $40+ each) but high quality, beautiful pieces. Piercings were cash only on the day we went in (perhaps they always are, but if so, we didn't know ahead of time). There is conveniently an ATM on site. Overall great experience at this shop, would return for piercings in the future!

Fantastic experience: Taylor @ivoryinkpmu Aug 2023: I am pleased to submit this review of Taylor Bulbrook; a young and energetic permanent makeup artist working within Inkwell Kingston. She received me into an ultra-cool space for a consultation late one evening (ensuring security as we were women alone) and thoroughly explained the many facets of her artistic, brow work. Her measuring skills were precise and confident. Her workspace was immaculate (as was the entire premises), and she had photos, references, and teaching sheets for me —all at her fingertips. As I am 58 and not at all tattoo savvy. I was stretching myself by even walking in! She more than made up for my hesitancy with her patience and her engagement the entire time. I felt so welcome. This is a young woman who clearly plans to ace her professional game. I would highly recommend her to clients of all ages who appreciate that rare, winning combination of artistry and integrity!

Negative experience: I called twice prior to bussing down. They informed me that they needed two pieces of ID from the person that was signing and the legal guardian (who was not there and I made it known). The legal guardian who couldn’t make it had sent the ID to me as the tattoo shop requested. I did fill out the wrong form by mistake but the store did know prior to me filling out the form it was for someone 15 years of age. They told me to go online and pay the $60 deposit .. THAT YOU DONT GET BACK if a mistake was made with booking or ANYTHING. Walked into the shop and they stated to me that they needed the guardian to sign. I was mine blown with the mid communication they have gave. I got told we weren’t getting our money back and they have advertised it on the website when booking. It’s all a lie! You will not get money back.

Fantastic experience: I've had many piercings from many artists over the last 20 years and Sabrina has by far been the best experience. She's professional, knowledgeable, and gives sound advice if you have questions about your options. I recently had a piercing done by her for the first time and don't plan on going to anyone else for future work. The quality of the jewelry she uses far exceeds any I've found elsewhere and her dedication to her art and her client's health is obvious.
