Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this shop! I had an amazing experience getting tattooed by Kerry Temple. His work is incredibly clean and the attention to detail is next level. You can tell his passion pours into his work, he takes real pride in his craft. On top of being a talented artist, he’s just a genuinely great person. Super friendly, welcoming, and he makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. People like Kerry honestly make the world a better place. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, I can’t recommend him enough. Looking forward to my next session.

Fantastic experience: Anthony is basically the reason I no longer believe half the piercing pain stories on the internet. I’ve had my nipples, conch, and daith done by him, and every time I brace for chaos… and then it’s over before my anxiety even clocks in. He’s professional, quick, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. At this point I walk in nervous and leave planning my next piercing. Highly recommend Anthony unless you enjoy unnecessary suffering elsewhere.

Negative experience: Contemplated not leaving this as Andrew is a great artist. But as with some great artists, come big egos. I sat for 7 or 8 full day sessions on my right arm. Every time i arrived without knowing what I was getting and trusted Andrew's ability. After 2 sessions I moved to BC and still kept flying back to Calgary so I could get work done by him. Sat for 2 sessions on my left and took a 6 month break. Schedule a 3rd session and asked him to send what he came up with. (He showed me 6 months ago but I just forgot) He ignores my messages over 3 weeks and when I call him on it and ask for a reply he got rude told me i was micromanaging him. I replied and said yeah it was rude and again asked to see. He ignored that and I made the decision to move on without another message. He finally replied 2 days before the appointment and said yeah I don't think we can do this. Not sure what I did to deserve that, other than be a loyal client for 2 years. Now I have to get this work finished by another artist, not ideal. He does good work but is hard to get along with for sure. I should have moved on after the right arm....

Fantastic experience: Anthony helped me develop my personal piercing look, and I received compliments for days! He was flexible and professional. This is definitely my go-to studio!

Fantastic experience: I had a horseshoe behind my ear that looked like it came out of a child’s colouring book when I had arrived to their shop. Within an hour, Shane had completely transformed it into a beautiful piece I am confident with showing off. I’m extremely impressed with his work and the shops over all cleanliness.

Negative experience: They pierce cartilage piercings with a hoop. Piercing a helix with a hoop is like the number 1 thing you should not do. A reputable piercer would never do that, and especially not offer it when the client didn’t mention it first. Do better Anthony

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old and I got our ears pierced together! I had my ears pierced as a kid and it resulted infection and scarring and I was told I had an allergy to metal. Anthony answered all our questions and put me at ease. My daughter was so excited the whole time and he matched her energy well! No tears, just happy ears pierced gal pals!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Honor Bound was exactly what I needed. I contacted Anthony on instagram as he came highly recommended to me by friend. I had my nose pierced elsewhere, and accidentally had my stud slip beneath the surface and I had to force it back through. My experience with piercings are few and far between, and after my piercing experience (not horrible but not great either) I didn’t feel comfortable returning or contacting them for advice. Anthony was very receptive and his response time was excellent. And before I knew it he had me scheduled to check my nose the following day. Meeting Anthony in person is a separate treat! He was already waiting for me as I walked through the doors and invited me in and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Within minutes he put my mind at ease, let me know that my piercing was ok, and helped me figure out a position for my nose ring that was far more comfortable. He didn’t want my money, he genuinely cared about me and my concern. Although I haven’t received a service YET, I absolutely will be getting any of my future piercings done with Anthony and Anthony alone. I felt intimidated and out of place at the other shop. And knowing a little bit about the industry (I am a tattoo artist) there were somethings that were alarming. From what I know now about safety and necessary precautions and paperwork needed how the experience should be, the other shop (Calgary Tattoo) had absolutely none for me. Given his knowledge and expertise, I would recommend Anthony in a heartbeat for anyone looking to have any piercings done. And am looking forward to my future appointments with him.

Fantastic experience: Kyle has done 5 of my tattoos now and I honestly don’t trust anywhere else to do them. I am amazed every time at the work that Kyle is able to put out and even more amazed that it’s on my body. Anthony has done almost all of my piercings and has fixed the ones that he didn’t do and I love his work. He’s my go to piercer now!

After a few emails and an in-person consultation, our artist Kerry knocked these tattoos out of the park! While the tattoo begins as a simple template, the detail that Kerry adds through his freehand is mind blowing. I immediately booked him for more, and this is the result of my dream tattoos. I absolutely love them. The attention to the details, of both what you want and what he envisions, will leave you in awe of and in love with the ink on your skin. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this shop for over 10 years now to get piercings. Anthony has been phenomenal from the first time I came in as an awkward 14 year old. He has always showed me so much kindness and has even fixed botched piercings and jewelry applications from other studios. I have gotten multiple ear piercings, nostril, septum, chest dermal, belly button and more. I highly encourage anyone looking for a piercer to check him out! Fantastic experience: I went in the first day to see Anthony for my daith piercing. He's VERY knowledgeable and extremely safe with his process for sanitization! I'm definately already thinking about my next piercing!! My hubby was sitting with Kyle for our couples tattoo, and my 2nd visit was my turn to sit for a full day. Kyle is absolutely amazing at what he does! Very personable shop environment! The day flew by! Next thing I knew he was done! He has a very "gentle touch" or so I found anyway. Oh! He pierced my nose while my 6 year old daughter watched and she was convinced we needed to return to pierce her ears. He was gentle and she barely noticed the piercings going in! She is a very happy customer :) thank you! The studio was also very clean, disinfected and all jewellery individually sterilized and gloves were worn for both piercings. This healthcare professional felt very at ease and comfortable.

Fantastic experience: In November I saw Anthony for a daith piercing, he was amazing with addressing my worries and debunking the myths I have heard. Not as painful as I expected. I went back today to see Anthony about getting my nose and ears pierced and he even replaced all my jewelry, even for piercings he didn't do. Fantastic experience: Had the BEST experience we’ve ever had at Honor Bound with Josh getting matching his and hers classic red kiss tattoos on our necks!!!! He is very personable, and is a phenomenal artist & designer, with so much passion for his craft! It was so easy to chat with Josh on a personal level. As well as to communicate our tattoo ideas; plus his execution was impeccable!! As well, the next day we got pierced by Anthony Kwok!! My man got two dermal tattoos, and I got both sides of my nose pierced. He was also very chill and easy to talk to, very professional, and had a clean, more private space of his own which gave a safe and calm feel to the experience. He did a wicked job, and they turned out fantastic and nice and evenly lined up!! Super pleased.

I’ve been going to Honor Bound since I was 14 for piercings (which have all healed perfectly and Antony is amazing) and I’ve gotten 2 tattoos there done by Shane de Graaf and honestly they are my favourite tattoos, the quality of the work made me wish I had gotten all my tattoos done by him! Not to mention the kindness of the staff and the levels they go to to keep the customers feeling comfortable. 10/10 place I absolutely recommend Honor bound for any tattoo or piercing needs!!

Fantastic experience: I went back to Anthony yesterday for my first piercing since having my Daith - for migraine*** done by him. I originally chose him because I personally knew three other people who had successful migraine piercings. (I honestly believe you need someone who is experienced in this specific one for migraine, not just "does daith piercing" I went back to him because not only did I find a lot of success with less migraines, no longer having constant base line pain, but he was very professional, clean, and easy to get in touch with (as well as booking if super easy) This time I brought my youngest for the migraine piercing but my other daughter and myself got our nose done. He was amazing at the calming nerves of my youngest. Absolutely will go back and highly recommend. I will never have another person do a piercing for me!

He has done four of my piercings now and every single one of them he has made me so relaxed and just comfortable with the steps. My best friend was also incredibly please and is even talking about driving from Edmonton when she wants something just to see him again

Fantastic experience: I was at a point where I’m trying to find alternatives to get migraine relief, and my rabbit hole research for such led me to find Anthony! I know there’s not enough science backing up to prove that daith piercing really works for migraine, but I’m just glad that I have the best chance of getting the desired relief by going to him. It says on my research that your piercer really has to know where he’s putting in that piercing because it has to hit a specific nerve to actually work. And upon reading reviews after reviews everywhere online, Anthony’s name came several times which made me decide to go contact him. I was only about to do the right piercing first cause I didn’t know how much painful it was going to be, but damn, it’s no exaggeration at all when I say I felt zero pain, not even a pinch, which is why I decided to get my left ear pierced too. Both ears were done in under 10 minutes! It was my first piercing (I mean besides the ones I got when I was a baby), and Anthony really made me feel at ease the whole time. And his demeanour really made me feel confident getting pierced by him. It was really an awesome experience and I would never hesitate recommending him to others!

I frequently get compliments on Shane's tattoo work from complete strangers. My original request for a cover up, has now become an ongoing piece, years in the making, which I keep adding onto & it isn't finished yet! I highly recommend Shane.

Negative experience: Got tattooed by Shane, he was unprofessional, on his phone, answering to get distracted and upset. He not only screwed up my tattoo, he left me with a lot of scarring. Refused to return cash deposit and offered a gift card saying I could sell it to get my money back. Sell it to who? Can't sell something to someone that I will never recommend. The place it self was great, clean, and welcoming though.

Fantastic experience: Anthony is great. I had my ears pierced *elsewhere* (out of province) and they began to swell up and I was in a lot of pain. I was desperate to have somebody take a look at them for me. He got me in super quick and was able to switch out my jewelry for something with a longer post to give me some relief from the swelling and gave me some good advice on what to do going forward. Highly recommend and will definitely use him for my future piercings!

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't recommend Honor Bound Tattoos enough! My daughter had her belly button and nose pierced here, and the experience was fantastic. We initially faced some hesitation from another studio who claimed her belly button couldn’t be pierced on the top and we had it pierced on the bottom and then it rejected. After it rejected she was discouraged but then we found Anthony at Honor Bound Tattoos and he reassured her that she was misinformed and confidently he pierced it and it was a success, without any issues. Not only was he professional, but the piercing has also healed beautifully without any rejection, unlike the previous studio. Anthony truly is the best in the business! He has also done my conch and yesterday he did my flat ear piercing, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The atmosphere in the shop is welcoming, and the staff is knowledgeable and honest. If you’re in Calgary and looking for a piercing, this is the place to go. Don't waste your time anywhere else—Honor Bound Tattoos is the top choice!

Fantastic experience: Been seeing Kyle for awhile, we’re working on my left sleeve right now and can’t say enough. 5 stars isn’t enough. Done a few of my pieces over the last couple years. Their new shop is awesome, super bright and inviting, very clean all around it’s a place you don’t want to leave. Tons of talented artists here that’ll accommodate to anyone, my only recommendation would be the fam down here.

All of my tattoos have been done here since they opened in 2013. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dan and Josh are amazing and take so much pride in what they do. Fantastic experience: Went to go get my helix pierced, the place is very nice and welcoming. Anthony did my piercing and was great! He’s a personable guy and calmed my nerves down. Definitely will go back.

Fantastic experience: Took my daughter to get her nose pierced. We were in an out in 10 minutes with minimal pain. Within 3 days swelling is gone and 7 days after its like it has always been there and looks amazing. Great job, will for sure come back!

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo from Kerry last week and he was so awesome! I had an idea in my head that I couldn’t really describe and when I gave him my best guess he just nailed the design. Then he was super patient and helpful with figuring out the sizing, placement, and colours when I went in. The whole process was super comfortable and fun, he was great to hang out with and did an incredible job with the tattoo, it looks perfect!

Fantastic experience: Anthony is my favorite piercer. He has done 6/12 of my piercings plus another one soon, and haven’t left unsatisfied. He is quick and efficient which I love. You never feel rushed and he always explains the process of what he's doing.
