Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at Artful Ink Mt Lawley! The studio has such a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, which made the whole process feel easy and comfortable. Seb was great, he immediately put me at ease both during the consultation and on the day of my tattoo. He really listened to what I wanted, offered thoughtful advice on the design, and made sure I felt confident every step of the way. The final result is even better than I imagined. Fantastic experience: Joey did my first tattoo couldnt be happier! Lovely clean, quiet, and relaxed store with really nice vibes. All staff were lovely.

Negative experience: Beware. My experience was negative. I booked online and received a confirmation - "we'd love to tattoo you". At no point was there any mention of their T&Cs in our communication. When I turned up for my appointment, I was told that the appointment wasn't confirmed because I hadn't paid the non-refundable deposit. So I paid and had to reschedule. When the time came for my new appointment I was caught up at work and advised them that I couldn't make it and that I wanted to reschedule, making a new appointment. Once again I was caught up at work and advised them 2 hours before my appointment that I needed to reschedule. They responded after my appointment time and I was told that I couldn't reschedule and that I had lost my deposit. Had I known this, I would have left work anyway and attended my appointment. When I pushed back on this I was told "do whatever you want" - very poor attitude - inflexible and nasty. So watch out - if you're not locked in for the appointment and try to change it you could lose your deposit. I'm going to escalate this. What is disappointing is that I was genuinely keen to get the tattoo but the interaction I had with them was so negative. I didn't want to give them my support and the benefit of paying for the tattoo, so I'm going elsewhere.

Positive experience: Had a bit of a mixed experience with this place. When I got my initial tattoos I was mostly satisfied and told by my artist that the white lettering on one would need a touch up after a year which he offered to do for free when the time came. I returned a year later and my artist was no longer working here, I tried to explain to the staff the agreement I had with the initial artist but was told I’d have to pay full price. I payed $220 for a touch up on white lettering the size of type writer font. I came back a month later to explain that the white lettering had already blown out and asked if they could fix it. I was told I’d have to pay full price for another touch up. I found this ridiculous since I’d then be paying to get something fixed that I already payed for to get fixed. UPDATE Artful ink has reached out to me and was able to remedy the situation in a way that resolved things. Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: What can I say, yesterday after a ordinary few days visiting from Melbourne I decided to finally book in and get my Celtic Cross done. The team put me in the hands of Tyson a young guy who himself said he's only been an artist for 3 years. This didn't stop him, he was amazing, down to earth, understand and is clearly on the path to success. Again, thank you Tyson and the team at the Artful Ink Mt Lawley.

Fantastic experience: So I got my first tattoo last year and every one at artful ink mount Lawley was so welcoming to me. The sword was my first tattoo and then I got a bit addicted . Joel Berry is my artist we came up with a full arm sleeve. He does a amazing job and is very comforting As are all the other artists that are there. So don't be scared to come get a tattoo. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Artful Ink Mt Lawley specifically to see Sye for fine-line detailed tattoos, and every single time I’m absolutely blown away by her skill. Her artwork is amazing, and the attention to detail is incredible. I always walk out stoked with my new art and genuinely happy about how kind, welcoming, and professional the whole team is. Despite my inability to explain exactly how I envision things Sye always assists me and comes out with amazing designs. She’s is incredible and the whole team are always super friendly and happy to help.

Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo done by Isaac and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The online messaging system is great as an initial chat. Isaac was so welcoming and professional. He made me feel heard, asked me lots of questions about my design and made sure to get it exactly how I wanted it, incorporating lots of small design ideas I liked. I was thrilled with how it looked when he showed me the design on the day, and made it very clear that we could change anything if I wanted, and gave me different sizing options to choose from. He also took great care to get it just right when placing the stencil, which I really appreciated. The whole process was smooth, professional, and Isaac himself was just lovely. Fantastic experience: From first point of contact via Messenger to follow ups these guys couldn't have been better! Such a very professional business but they still retain a warm, friendly and welcoming approach towards their clients. Isaac is a young, talented artist and I have no doubt he'll continue to reach incredible heights with his art and skills. He didn't behave as if our simple and small designs were beneath him at all, in fact he took the same time and energy to ensure we were thoroughly happy with the positioning, rendition etc before he started (unlike other tattooists I've come across before). It was a special moment for my adult child and I as they had decided and drawn up the original design for us to have together and Isaac was chosen because he had given them their first tattoo a couple of years before (the dinosaurs and teacup in the photo). Ironically that design was also a "family" tattoo with their sister, so a bit of a pattern developing there. All in all, cannot recommend Artful Ink at Mt Lawley enough, clean hygienic, spacious premises with wonderful staff. I doubt it will be my last visit there!

Fantastic experience: What an absolute find Artful Ink is and my tattooist Isaac has been amazing. All of the staff are friendly and supportive. From the point of design, through consultations Isaac really took on board all the component parts to make it come to life. Nothing was too much trouble and I fell in love with the design straight away. On the day he was amazing and very patient and I love my new work. The aftercare advice was great and it has healed beautifully. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend him and this studio.

His attention to detail, friendly and approachable attitude puts you at ease immediately and as someone with an anxiety disorder, I found Joel very easy to hold conversations with.
