Fantastic experience: Just walked in here for a tattoo on a whim and the staff were really lovely and quick to get everything done. I got a little crescent moon on my bicep done by Soobin and she was really accommodating, her design was cuter than i expected, and the experience was so nice it was almost therapeutic getting the tattoo done by her :) It turned out super cute and I'm really happy with the result and the whole experience here!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo in Melbourne ever since I arrived in Australia, 2 years ago. 2 weeks before leaving I’ve decided to finally do it here. Soobin has been the perfect tattoo artist, she perfectly put my idea into the best drawing, it’s so fine and delicate. She’s so talented, I’m impressed and extremely happy!

She gave insightful advice and also about which location might look better. She gave input but doesn’t means you have to follow and she makes sure that you love where is it. Throughout the whole process, it was quick and easy. Definitely coming back for more.

My tattoo artist was fast and efficient, was done within the hour, staff very friendly and let me charge my phone during appointment! Will definitely be back :)

Positive experience: Although the shop was clean and staff were friendly, the disorganisation meant my friend and I have chosen not to get our tattoos here. We booked a general consultation instead of pre-choosing an artist and the staff didn't know what to do with us. We waited 15 mins to be seen, then the only available tattooist seemed confused by our questions and we were repeatedly told to reach out to to an artist via instagram - even though my friend kept stating she didn't have IG. We were told not to book via the website because it wasn't up to date, and when we asked how to reach out to artists without IG, the staff were stumped. Eventually they said an artist might be available that afternoon to talk to in person, but they weren't sure when. I think this shop is fine for flash or if you have a specific design and artist ready to go, but I wouldn't waste your time booking a consultation without the above.

I came in wanting to do a fine line tattoo as a walk in and after consultation and professional advice from Clara, the design was more suited to the location and my wants. After shading however, I was even more impressed and amazed by her high quality work and standards. I will definitely come back again!

Negative experience: DO NOT TRUST THIS THIS PLACE I had booked in and paid my deposit. I later had to cancel and this was within 2 days notice, as they changed the artist and they would not give me my deposit back, and stopped replying to me. Times are tough, I’m a uni student and can’t believe they would take advantage when I cancelled within the time frame. Would never recommend them to anyone. Thanks for contributing to my stress. Beyond disappointing, it is so upsetting that a business would do this. Will be taking further action.

Fantastic experience: Fineline butterfly<3. It was my first Tatoo. I was so excited and didn't know a lot about Tatoos. When I came, I immediately got a good offer and felt comfortable in the shop. The whole vibe is welcoming and supportive. The advice helped me decide and the process of getting it was actually really pleasant. I got a fineline design and it turned out super pretty and fine. My artist was the cutest and really pleasant so it didn't hurt at all. Overall perfect experience, I will definitely come back for more tatoos

Negative experience: Condescending staff (for the reception at least), super overpriced, and when I waited the week to take my second skin off and washed the tattoo it all washed off and is basically gone. Literally have nothing positive to say. The artist who worked on me was kind enough but honestly that’s the lowest requirement of professionalism so doesn’t warrant any boosting of my rating. Just skip going here unless maybe getting flash. Also they have posts and in their bio say to book online but when I showed up to just do a walk in after hearing nothing back from that and asked why I hadn’t received the further confirmation emails they admitted they had received my booking but decided to not respond. Honestly if I could give 0 I would.

Positive experience: I recently visited VC Ink Tattoo Studio and had an overall decent experience. Julian, my tattoo artist, was friendly, professional, and talented. He was open to my ideas and I was very happy with the final result of his work. However, I had an issue with the staff members who handled the financial aspect of the studio. It seemed like they were more interested in making a quick buck rather than providing transparent pricing. When I initially received a quote of $1000 via text message, I thought that was the total cost. However, when I went in for my appointment and requested to add a word of writing to my initial reference photo, I was hit with an additional $200 charge. While I understood the extra cost and accepted it, what bothered me was when it came time to pay, the staff member asked for cash or an extra 10% for GST (Goods and Services Tax). I was taken aback by this request, as I believe that if GST is applicable, it should have been clearly stated in the initial quote. I would suggest that VC Ink Tattoo Studio provide more detailed quotations, explicitly stating if the price is exclusive of GST. This would avoid any confusion and ensure that customers are aware of the complete cost upfront. Additionally, asking for cash payment instead of offering alternative payment methods felt unprofessional. I would like to emphasize that Julian, the artist, did an excellent job, and I am extremely satisfied with his work. He made me feel comfortable throughout the process and his talent is undeniable. However, I hope that the studio management takes customer service and transparent pricing into consideration to provide a better overall experience. Overall, while I had a positive experience with Julian, the issues with the financial aspects of the studio left me feeling slightly disappointed. I would recommend VC Ink Tattoo Studio for their talented artists, but advise potential customers to be cautious about potential hidden costs and payment methods.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend enough!! I've had many tattoos and never had such a good experience. Aside from being really clean, the studio is full frills and modern. The artists could stand to charge way more. My artist Clement was patient, kind and all round a top bloke in making my tattoo ideas a reality. Furthermore booking (or in my case walking in last minute) was super smooth and easy. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a studio trustworthy of putting something permanent onto their body.
