Fantastic experience: I was tattooed by Jinn, a guest artist and I absolutely love it! Easily one of my favourite tattoos. And the rest of the artists in the shop made me feel welcome and were so friendly. I’ll definitely be back for more pieces! :)

Her advice on placement with my tattoos including specific font and size was extremely helpful too as it made me feel even more confident about getting them. Fantastic experience: Great place to get a tattoo. I went there for my first tattoo, and the artists did a great job making sure my idea came to fruition and that I was confortable for the entire process.

Negative experience: Paid a deposit and spoke over email about a sentimental tattoo I wanted, came in to get it done and was criticised and heavily advised not to get the tattoo as the owner didn’t like the style of tattoo (even though the completely wrong stencil was used anyway), so I left. Then they refused to give me a refund. Why not say any of this before I paid the deposit considering you knew exactly what I wanted? I rarely have negative feedback for businesses and I understand that deposits are generally non-refundable but I was completely misled. Edit (reply to Mike) Hi Mike, Thank you for your kind words. That’s true, this interaction took place in January 2024. The reason the review was written two years later is because a friend recently suggested I leave a review after asking whether I’d heard of Blue Lady Tattoo. Businesses should be open to feedback whether it’s what they want to hear or not. Mike, I sent the message at around 2pm, though I’m not sure of the relevancy. I have had many tattoos both before and after this interaction, including hand tattoos, and I’m well aware of issues such as fading and aging but this was not raised as a concern on the day. The concern expressed was that you didn’t like the design itself, specifically that it wasn’t a large rose as you had suggested. What I struggle to understand is why a deposit was accepted despite you knowing exactly what I wanted, particularly when no concerns or objections were raised in the emails prior to the appointment. On the day, the design was presented as such a poor idea that I was strongly discouraged from proceeding, to the point where I felt effectively pressured out of the tattoo altogether. I was also informed by the artist on the day that I would get my deposit back, which clearly never happened. All in all, I came in to get a sentimental tattoo and left with less than I started with. Why would I want to get another tattoo from you when my very first experience at your studio was so negative?

Fantastic experience: Recently visited Blue Lady Tattoo for a bold, trad style peony, done by Mike Tea. Entire experience was fantastic, with staff responsive, booking locked in quickly, and the shop's booking/deposit/payment process clearly explained. On the day, Mike was diligent and attentive in finalising the design in a way that both of us were happy, and did excellent work completing the piece quickly and without fuss, and I'm stoked with the end result. Mike also goes the extra mile in ensuring the client's understanding and satisfaction that all work is carried out with sterile, single-use equipment.

Fantastic experience: Actually obsessed! Mike and his team accommodated a gaggle of six women, who on a whim, decided to get matching tattoos during a 40th birthday weekend in Melbs. I decided on something a little bigger. Emailed through an enquiry and a pic the night before and got more than we expected! Not only did they open an hour early for us so we could make our flight later that day, but the artistry and atmosphere were on point. We will be back!

Negative experience: Unfortunately,I can’t share my experience of getting a tattoo at this salon cos I sent email with photo on the Monday (they received it)then went in personally on the Tuesday morning to make an appointment and was given an 11.30am booking for following Wednesday(I had booking written on piece of paper)! Called-in for my appointment on the Wednesday and my booking cancelled cos I didn’t leave a desposit(I wasn’t asked to and the day b4 I went to my bank to get the right amount of cash,they don’t take credit cards)and stayed in town Tuesday night! They told me to come back at 1.39 cos they wld find another artist as the one chosen was booked out,took my phone number and I went around town for two hrs and on my return told they didn’t have enough staff,wldve been lovely if I was given a call during those two hrs! There goes $500 but I found another,nearby tattoo salon and they did a fantastic job at 4pm on the Wednesday! No fuss!

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best places in not just the city, but country. Got my tattoo done by Sam and it was very professional, friendly and well-priced. Got a small 666 with pitchforks as the tattoo on my lower leg. He was calm with his movements so the line work is awesome. If you want a professional artist to get a tattoo from, check this place out. Would definitely recommend. EDIT: Got my first big piece done today (pics attached) and am absolutely gobsmacked at how good it is. I need to further reinforce that if you don't go here for tattoos, you're going to the wrong places.

So happy with his work especially with something that has so much meaning to me. Couldn’t recommend him enough and cannot wait to get back there for more! Fantastic experience: honestly, it was a great experience. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was super chill and welcoming. The Tattooist was patient making sure I was 100% happy before starting. The actual tattooing process was a lot less painful than I expected and the Tattooist kept checking in to see how I was doing which made me feel safe. I’m absolutely obsessed with how it turned out. I can’t recommend Marv enough. They really care about their craft and about making you feel comfortable. would absolutely go back for my next piece!

Fantastic experience: Sent an email Wednesday asking about availability to get tattooed and by 3:30pm was at the studio awaiting my appointment! I’m very impulsive so loved that I was able to get in same day haha. I booked in with Mike Tea. He was great at dealing with me and my ‘I have no idea planned do whatever you want’ and we ended up with an amazing design and tattoo. The shop was also very clean and professional and everyone there was very friendly! Definitely would recommend this shop and I will be back again soon. Photo is of the tattoo 3 days later with no cream on it yet. Healing well so far :)
