I had 3 nearly day long sits and not only was I incredibly over joyed at the outcome of my work by Char Callan tattoos, I was also super impressed with the entire space as a whole. Expérience fantastique: Been to here twice now for a tattoo. First to get my Mimikyu and then came back to get a touch up of fresh colour and both times my experience was great. Both times it has been a clean and welcoming atmosphere with a very eclectric style for decor throughout from the second you walk into the entrance to all the spaces taken up by all the differing artists styles.

It was my very first tat and they took it slow and checked in frequently to make sure I was feeling okay. The tat also turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL, I knew it would be but it was somehow even prettier than I expected. Edit: Lee a different studio now but I've also since been to Jesse at Raven's Head as well and can highly recommend him as well!

My artist Keith Mullin went above and beyond and made my Dr. Manhattan tattoo better then I had hoped. The staff is super nice and awesome and one of them even put on the soundtrack from Watchmen to go along with the theme of my tattoo. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Expérience fantastique: I spent a long time contemplating where and who to go to when getting my tattoo. I chose Raven's Head Tattoo shop because it ticked all the boxes for me. It is LGBTQ2IA-friendly, is downtown / easy to access through public transportation, and the artists are all well-trained and in my opinion, are quite skilled. I chose Char to do my tattoo because I love her work and her style. She and I did a consultation where she took all my ideas, notes, and photo inspiration, and after some time (a week? Month? Can't recall) she came back with a stunner of a piece. I was allowed to tweak it a bit to my exact liking. When I went in I was impressed with how quickly she was able to work. My thigh took 4.5 hours to complete - which I found to be quick as heck. She was light-handed and was a good conversationalist too. I purchased some soap and moisturizer from the shop, which made the aftercare easy. I have also been to the shop for tattoo removal (eyebrows) with the shop owner, Emma. She is a lovely person in every way - she made sure I was comfortable, informed about the procedure, that it may drown out my freckles, and made sure I understood the importance of protecting my eyes from the laser. She was knowledgeable about my skin and hair type and which laser would be best to use. I believe I went in for 2 or 3 sessions. She made sure they were spaced out correctly so I had enough time to heal in between. The procedure was very quick, and a little more painful than a tattoo, but overall nothing terrible. My eyebrows are now tattoo-free, and I'm happy. Overall, 10/10 would recommend this shop, Emma's removal services, and Char as an artist. (Photo is from Char's IG)

Expérience fantastique: I just got my forearm piece done by Mike Ramos and it was an awesome experience from beginning to end - from my first consultation with him to the (long) session that brought my tattoo to life. Mike was really great to deal with - he was even super understanding with some last minute changes that I wanted to make while getting the tattoo done. Give him a follow on his social @mikeramostattoos to get an idea of what he can do!

Not only did she capture everything I asked for, but she took it even further with this beautiful design! She was so nice to work with. She talked me through everything she was doing which really helped calm my anxiety. I would recommend her to anyone for their next or first tattoo. The shop is very nicely decorated and very clean. Liam is absolutely magical and has significantly changed my life for the better with his incredible art and exceeding my expectations whenever we have a session together (He usually does my limbs; has done a full sleeve and several other pieces on me, certainly not done), and I go to Char to for all my torso/rib/rest of my body; she unfortunately gets to tattoo the most painful parts on me (I'm sorry Char ), but her art and style is so perfect for what I am going for, and also she just generally makes the session so much more fun, and safe; I just love everything she has done on me SO much. The whole shop has helped me in ways that I can't even describe. 10 Stars out of 5

Sam did incredible work with the cover up, you can't see the original design at all any more. She's also just a lovely person and easy to work with. She made my 6 hour sit very comfortable. Look up Sam for your next piece, she's a gem!

The staff is always friendly and professional whether it's other artists in the studio or staff at the desk you always feel welcome when you walk in. A studio full of super talented staff who know their stuff and all share a passion for the art of tattooing. All safety protocols are followed and staff always ensures to show you all equipment and walk you through procedures before starting, there is no such thing as a dumb question! I met Liam Jarvis back in 2018 when he did a smaller piece on my forearm and then script down my spine! Yesterday we finished off a beautiful sunflower forearm piece we started almost 5 years ago! He did an absolutely amazing job, as always and the final result was so much more than I hoped for! If you're looking for a great artist or even just like checking out new shops I definitely recommend ANY artist at Raven's Head Tattoos. They also do tattoo removal too!
