Experiencia fantástica: The folks at Made to Last provided me with an amazing experience for my forearm sleeve tattoo. Matt Skinny came highly recommended and he more than met my expectations. He spent hours with me game planning to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I'm thrilled with the tattoo, but enjoyed getting to know him, Derski, Amy, Chris, Michael, and Mason even more. I spent 2 full days in the studio and felt like I made new friends. These folks are great at what they do and have fun doing it. If you want a great tattoo in a professional, fun environment, Made to Last is your spot.

Experiencia fantástica: I can not say enough about my experience. I got a stomach piercing done by Michael Wilson and he did so well. I was nervous to get the piercing because it is my first other than my ear lobes which was done years ago. He helped me feel relaxed. The process was also very sterile new needle, bed was cleaned beforehand and the shop itself was clean as well. The piercing was done quick and smoothly. I was well informed about what to do to keep the piercing clean and free from infection. I would definitely give this shop ten stars if possible. If you are getting a piercing or even a tattoo come here!!!

So we all decided to get something game related. Our tattoo artist was Jason M. He was amazing!! We told him what we wanted and he went above and beyond. He had a great personality and definitely kept the vibe. We plan on making this a yearly tradition and coming back to see him.

Having reached to a few shops to book an appointment, Derski, the shop manager reached out and answered all my questions. The customer service he provided and the vibe I got from him just over the phone was awesome. When we showed up, it was the same friendly atmosphere. He set us up with Mike Barnhill and Devin Ray and they tattooed 6 of us. We wanted matching and that’s what we received. Everyone was so amazing. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in, and the space itself is stunning — thoughtfully decorated with antiques and artwork that make it feel both unique and welcoming. Experiencia fantástica: This had been my hubs and my first experience with Made to Last Tattoo. The entire staff had been super cool from the moment we stepped through the door to the time we left. I didn’t have an appt, but Brandon was amazing and had been able to work me in. (We’re not locals to the area.) Dustin did a phenomenal job and his experience absolutely shows. This tattoo is the first start of a full sleeve. We had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning to finish my sleeve and fix the tattoo on my hubs hand that the previous place messed up on. Thank you to all of you!!

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday I got my first tattoo at Made to Last with Matt Skinny. I didn’t know what to expect when I went in but Matt put me at ease right away. He spent a few minutes just chatting and it made me much more comfortable. We went through what I wanted (and didn’t want) and he came up with a design. He brought up points about placement and the design I never would have thought of. I’m very happy with my tattoo! Matt’s a true artist, and I’m amazed at the detail. The entire experience was so positive and enjoyable. It was a great day for me.

Experiencia fantástica: Google Reviews cant possibly provide me enough space to talk about this place! Made to Last Tattoo and Matt "Skinny" Bagwell knocked it out of the park. From design, to artwork, to sizing and placement, attention to detail....every step of the way was meticulously, well planned and perfectly orchastrated by this team. I can't recommend them enough and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Matt took the time to really understand what my wife and I were trying to capture and exceeded all of our expectations. His artwork and ability is second to none, truly mind blowing how talented he is at his craft. It is remarkable watching him work his magic. Also helps that Matt is a great dude and one of the coolest and most personable people. It made hours in the chair, simply fly by with some laughs and good conversation. Before we knew it, our session was over. All that means is that I'll have to book him again for some more in the future. My only regret is.... all the tattoos I had gotten done before I found this place, because I wish I would have went here.... this is by far the best place around! If you've read this far, your wasting time, you should already be putting the deposit down and booking this guy! Cant thank him enough for the great work.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Shelby (Golden Hour Tattoo) for over a year now and let me just say, she is truly a master of her craft. Her artistry, attention to detail, and customer service are next level. Whether it’s my own brows or the work she posts of her other clients, I’m always blown away. She makes microblading look incredibly natural or more bold if that’s the look you’re going for (like me). She just gets it. She listens, she delivers, and she’s got that perfect blend of skill and intuition that makes you feel totally at ease. If you’ve even been thinking about getting your eyebrows done, THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO GO. (Seriously.) I’ll post a before and after below, but I honestly could not be any happier with the results.

Experiencia fantástica: I came down from NY to visit some friends for the weekend. When I got to Charlotte I asked my friend if he wanted to get a tattoo and we found this place. Jason did both of our tattoos as walk ins and was super patient while waiting for us to figure out what we wanted and let me show him something I was thinking of and he drew up his own design which I love! He was great and the tattoo is healing so nicely. I definitely will come again next time I’m in the area.

The front desk was super polite & welcoming and they were able to fit my sister & I in almost immediately. Jason took great care of us. Experiencia fantástica: Session with BP I don't typically write reviews but I just wanted to say what an amazing experience I had yesterday with BP. Not only was the work outstanding but the shop and staff were all top notch, as well. 10/10 would recommend Made To Last.

Experiencia negativa: Had my Philtrum pierced. It was my 4th time getting this piercing, because it has been consistently pierced wrong on me and unfortunately that happened this time too. I really don’t like leaving poor reviews, but Michael pierced it with an extremely short bar. And a flat disc top. My lip ate the piercing within a day. Had my husband message him on instagram, because he wasn’t receiving my messages, and he told my husband he ordered a longer bar to help me switch but then never reached out to either of us again. I had to try and find another shop to help (which is almost impossible because other shops refuse to mess with someone else's work apparently.) I was told the size of the bar and the flat disc was an extremely poor choice, and that lips are prone to swelling over disc tops. They said it looked like it was pierced crooked but that it was extremely swollen so I needed to wait some time to really see. Long story short I continued to have issues. Large bumps on the back of the piercing and the piercing never really healing. Tried to reach out to the piercer and eventually he answered but just to tell me to take it out. Very unresponsive throughout this. Didn’t ask to see it in person or assess or offer any solutions. I went back to the piercer who helped me originally, when it was swollen and they advised it was a lost cause and pierced crooked and angled wrong and that it would never heal. I now have yet another hole/scar in my face that I can’t afford to surgically close up, and I’m out money. Sat on this awhile, but felt the need to post my experience. It was my dream piercing and always has been so I’m just super disappointed in the experience. It’s extra unfortunate because the tattoo artists work here is clearly amazing and it’s such a cool shop, I thought I had found my one stop place for this kind of work.

I already knew that Benji Outlaw was a talented artist and a uniquely genuine person but it was truly an honor to see him thrive around equally talented, driven, and good natured colleagues. It doesn’t hurt that the building itself is gorgeously historic and beautifully decorated. I couldn’t have imagined such a painful experience to be so much fun, but even after around 10 hours of tattooing I was still sad to leave! Super kudos to the whole team but definitely give Benji a shot if you’re in the market for a tattoo :)

They even helped me with parking (I am not a city girl). The vibes in the shop were great and I felt right at home. This is a great shop.

My tiger is finally complete and I can't wait for more work from Skinny. I would say this is the best tattoo shop in town as I flew here from San Diego to get more work done. Experiencia fantástica: I don’t need to leave a review as these guys reputation speaks for itself, however I almost feel obligated to because the experience exceeded what I thought was even possible. Rare excellence deserves praise. I’ll start by saying I’ve been hearing about these guys for years but after sitting down for five minutes I felt like I had known them for years. I spent 3 full days on one tattoo and time flew by, hell I was sad not to go back. Matt or Skinny as most people call him took time to listen to my ideas and brought them to life in a way I didn’t think was possible. Absolute endless talent. Michael, Brandon, Chris, whoever all came and shot the shit with me while they weren’t working. I’m telling you it was legitimately fun. By the time I was done I was having dinner with the guys and I consider them all friends now. It’s worth the wait and more than worth the price. I’ve been walking around on such a high getting compliments left and right on the work.

This was my first tattoo and I went in knowing absolutely nothing about the process. Experiencia negativa: I’ve been to Made To Last to get a tattoo once before and it came out great. The artist was tentatively listening to my idea and he killed it. I’ve wanted a bigger one on my arm that’s been important to me for quite some time and I decided Made to Last would be a trusty place to go back too. I put down my deposit, sent my reference pics, and came back for my consultation. The artist I had the appointment with told me that the design I was looking for was not his area of expertise and referred me to a different artist in the studio. I appreciate the honesty and transgression, so I set up a new consultation with the next artist, during that consultation the same thing happened. I then move my $100 consultation to the next guy and I never heard back. Very disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: I had Brandon P. do a portrait of my departed Akita yesterday. Dude was down to Earth, related to the unfortunate reason I was there in the first place as he also shares the same amount of love for his pets, and did an AMAZING job with my memorial tattoo. Could not have asked for a more perfect portrait. I have a growing list of other ideas and he will be my go to guy for the future. He has a waitlist but I promise it’s worth every bit of the wait!

The shop itself is gorgeous, clean, and welcoming; Devyn is easy to work with, talented as can be, and very fair when it comes to price. Truly, I've never met anyone who regrets getting tattooed at Made to Last — you won't either.

Experiencia positiva: Came in for a tattoo appointment in Oct '23 and wasn't totally happy with how it turned out. Decided in Dec '23 that I wanted to schedule another time to get it touched up/edited so I reached out and set up an appointment for Mar '24. I shared photos of the tattoo and made suggestions/comments on what I wanted to fix via email. My touch up appt was at 10am (they open at 10am) and ended up waiting until 10:30am to be seen. Thought the delays may have been a result of the artist working on the re-design however it turns out he didn't have any ideas or suggestions and it was unclear why I was taken 30 mins late with no heads up or apologies for the delay. A bit frustrating that I wasn't offered a beverage, delay acknowledged and after waiting 2+ months for an appointment there was no thought or effort made recommending how to adjust the tattoo. Ending up instructing the artist to make it darker and I am pleased with the final result but felt the whole process was underwhelming.

He did an amazing job, but the whole team here is wildly talented! Essentially, the X-Men of traditional tattooing. I've already booked my next appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: Brian Leebrick is the man and I can't say enough positive things about this shop. The only shop I've gotten work done after visiting and researching dozens of others in the area and beyond. MTL is in the heart of the Queen City and has a real authentic vibe to it. The building has history and the artists are incredibly talented. When you walk in you're greeted by an amazing staff who are more than happy to help answer any questions you may have and extremely welcoming, shoutout to Brandon and Amy. Brandon is extremely responsive via email setting up your consult or appointments and has been a pleasure working with. Now for the artists, Brian Leebrick, is hands down one of the best artists in North Carolina. He does a variety of different styles and I'm blown away by his results. I've worked with him on several realism black/white/gray pieces and he's always delivered incredible results. You can't go wrong with working with any of the artists at MTL but they book up so make sure you call/email ahead of time, especially with Brian, as their books can be out a year or more. All in all I give this shop a solid 10/10 and will continue to get my future work done at MTL. The vibes, culture, talent, shop, energy is unmatched ... and they're always playing dope music which is an underrated aspect imo. Check em out, but don't wait too long!

The inside is beautifully decorated - lots of breathtaking artwork and decor. Fair pricing vs other tattoo shops. Piercing price is cheaper than another shop I went to. Tat artist was sanitized, organized, and clean!!! The tat area is spacious and relaxing. I ended up choosing a small hand tattoo, which was done quick and nicely designed.
