We each got two tattoos and Azul made the process beyond easy. The studio is extraordinarily clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. The front desk staff were also very kind and welcoming. The best part was, the process was very fast. A lot of tattoo artists aren't prepared when you come in, but at Iris, and with Azul, our designs were ready to go, she knew what we were there for, and everything was already prepped to get to work.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited Iris Tattoo & Piercing Miami this past Friday, all the way from Atlanta, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The shop itself is stunning, and the atmosphere was very welcoming from the moment I walked in. Every staff member I interacted with was extremely kind, patient, and understanding. I did run into a small issue on my end, but the staff were nothing but patient, supportive, and helpful while I figured everything out. They handled the situation with so much kindness, which I truly appreciated. I especially want to highlight Jocelyn, who was my piercer for the day. I booked with her for my navel piercing, and she was AMAZING. Her process is incredibly detailed and informative, and she walked me through every single step, which made me feel completely confident in her work. If you’re getting your first piercing or are nervous about piercings in general, I highly recommend booking with Jocelyn. I was scared, but she was so patient and understanding. She let me take my time, allowed me to walk around to calm my nerves, and never once made me feel rushed. Because of her, the entire process ended up being quick, smooth, and easy. Overall, an incredible experience. 100000/10 ⭐️ I would absolutely travel back to Miami from Atlanta just for Jocelyn. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I’m leaving Iris today feeling extremely disappointed. This would’ve been my fifth or sixth time getting a tattoo or piercing here, and I’ve recommended the studio to several friends and family members. I had an appointment for an ear piercing and drove all the way up, only to find out—after waiting—that they would not allow me to use my own jewelry. It was a black diamond and white gold stud that I purchased specifically for this piercing. While I somewhat understand the policy, this is something that absolutely needs to be communicated at the time of booking. If the only option is to purchase Iris jewelry the day of, customers should be told upfront. Instead, I ended up wasting hours and leaving without the service I came for. As a side note: when I got my last piercing here (an earlobe), I brought a hoop/huggie that they declined to use due to healing time / chance of pulling—which I understood. But the piercer also told me that if I had brought a stud, they would’ve been able to use it. This is part of why I purchased a stud for today’s appointment, only to be told it couldn’t be used either. Overall, I left disappointed and frustrated, which is especially disheartening given that its Iris. Wont be going back.

Experiencia negativa: Hella overpriced . Paid over $400 for my second piercing on both ear lobes. They told me the downsize would be free and I ended up having to pay an extra $35. When I went back. They are nice and all Not worth going here. Because the prices are crazy As a response to the owner: the prices are not clearly listed and I was explicitly told the downsizing would be free. Nice try gaslighting me though. As I said I would not recommended coming here to others.

Experiencia fantástica: I love coming here. I got my second tattoo this weekend and it was a lovely experience. Flor is an exceptional tattoo artist who designed a beautiful aster flower for me. She was very personable, helpful, and it was exciting to see how much she cares about her work. She walked me through the colors she thought would be best and I immediately felt like I could trust her completely. In general, Iris Tattoo is amazing. Everything is clean and organized and every person on staff is friendly and professional. They took a lovely photo of my tattoo and sent it to me, which is such a nice touch! I even had some follow-up questions about the care of my tattoo and they answered my email right away. I will absolutely be coming back.

Experiencia fantástica: Got two beautiful fine line tattoos. Wouldn’t go any where else and I’m from New York! It’s clean, modern and not full of darkness, death, evil, skull and crossbones, although I’m sure they do those tats too. The staff are unbelievably patient, reworking and repositioning every tattoo stencil until you’re absolutely certain you love it.

She help me bring my idea to life and was very honest about the best placement, size and arrangement of my tattoo. The actual location itself felt much more welcoming then any tattoo I have been too. Even with a full house , all of the guest were greeted and catered to by the staff/ management. Some tattoo shops in Miami can feel almost gimmicky, but not Iris tattoo. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others.

My appointment was at 3:40 and it’s 4:40 and i’m still waiting they make you do a notarized paper that takes forever to do and cost 25+ the piercing you’re getting done. Don’t recommend this place at all. It’s better to go to a regular tattoo place than this preppy place. Only thing they have it looks and it has a horrible vibe.

Check in was so smooth and Jocelyn and I talked about my anatomy and what type of earring I would want and what works for me specifically. Experiencia fantástica: I originally booked a "soft" appointment at a local tattoo place in Little Havana but they turned me away (long story) so I ended up going to Iris instead which I'm now glad I did. I'm from Toronto so I didn't know that Iris was in Wynwood. When I got out of the Uber, I thought to myself "Great. An obnoxious, corporate tattoo business *rolls my eyes*." However, the place actually had a humble, approachable vibe. I had my kids who were 14 and 8 y.o. who can get out of control sometimes but the staff at Iris weren't bothered by them at all. They even had stuff there to occupy the kids i.e. magnet board, etc. The place looks bougie with a humble vibe. And those two qualities together to me equal to "classy". Rewind to being turned away from the first tattoo place. I Googled right away for another tattoo place that would do walk-ins and Iris came up. Called them and I was told to text them instead. Communication was prompt via text. They said I could come at that time as there was an availability. I said I just wanted something from the flash book and they were able to provide that readily. Rustem tattooed me and he was very professional. We had a very comfortable conversation while he was working on me. He even looked so dapper in his suit. Overall, a great experience.

The staff is amazing, from the front desk girls, to the piercers and tattoo artists, everyone is very nice and attentive. I got pierced by Jocelyn and she made me feel extremely comfortable. I'm usually a scaredy cat when it comes to needles and have even fainted a couple times, but this time I was surprised by how relaxed I felt, didn't even get dizzy. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to get pierced, you won’t regret it.

Experiencia negativa: This is less a review about the people, and more about the quality of the jewelry and piercings. I came here once to get a forward helix piercing, and my piercer (I believe her name was Valentina) was amazing — 10/10. No complaints about her professionalism or technique. However, before the piercing, I made it very clear that I only use 14k gold jewelry because my body doesn’t heal well with anything else. I was assured that they had what I needed, so I trusted them and went ahead. At first, I was excited and everything seemed fine. But after about four weeks, I started experiencing major irritation and redness, which was unusual for me since I normally heal quickly. I went to another piercer — Sam at Facet Piercing in Coral Gables (highly recommend!) — who informed me that the jewelry I was wearing was not gold at all, and barely even looked gold-plated. It had tarnished and looked more like brass. I was so upset I threw it away on the spot (though I wish now I had kept it for comparison). Later, I went back to ask for a short gold post and even called ahead to make sure they had one. After driving an hour through Miami traffic, I was told they actually didn’t have any gold available. The woman at the front desk kept insisting I look at anodized silver options, even after I repeatedly explained that I only wanted solid gold. It felt like sales and commission mattered more than customer care, which was really disappointing. Overall, I loved my piercer, but I can’t recommend this place if you’re particular about jewelry materials or have sensitivities. The lack of transparency about what they’re selling is concerning. Do better next time Iris.

And of course I was nervous, my tattoo artist Flor, asked all the questions, I needed to ask, but didn’t know how to. It was like easy to talk to her and she got everything I wanted. The place is calm and the vibe eased the nerves. Everyone was so attentive, the check in girl and the lady walking around (sorry I didn’t get names, I was nervous. My name was on their wall, welcoming me! That was cool!!! Flor made sure I was comfortable at all times. One of my tattoo was in memory of my grandfather and I even cried, not for the pain but of sentiment. Loved my tattoos! Definitely going back with my sisters for another one.

If I could, I would’ve gotten my whole ears pierced by her! She goes through and explains everything. She helps you pick out your pieces based on your style. One of the reasons why I held off getting a tattoo is because sometimes you go to these places and the energy just feels wrong. You don’t feel welcomed, you get judged. Iris is not like that. Experiencia negativa: The piercers are great but the titanium gold jewelry is so ugly. I went to get my septum jewelry changed out and was extremely disappointed with how it looked. The only gold septum jewelry that isn’t hideous is about $150. Would not recommend getting any titanium gold jewelry here. They don’t care about how it looks either way. Do better.

It could be the placement of the tattoo as well since it is on my wrist. Update!! Iris Tattoo offered a complimentary touch up. Appointment was good just like the first time The second photo is 2 weeks after the touch up.

I want to Iris to get my first tattoo and not just any tattoo, a meaningful tattoo for me. The story behind my tattoo is that when I was eleven years old, I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. I had to undergo nine months of chemotherapy and a major surgery to remove the tumor. I am now eighteen years old and have been in remission since. Just by walking in you can feel how warm, welcoming, and CLEAN the place & team were at Iris. When I made my appointment, I chose Amanda as my artist. Amanda is so sweet, nice, kind and passionate about her work. She took her time and went over the design, sizing, and placement with me. She really made me feel comfortable and at peace knowing I had a great artist. I will for sure be going back to her in the future for my next tattoo!

My artist way JC, he is insanely talented, very kind, and created a very comfortable environment for me throughout the whole thing. Literally every person I interacted with was so sweet and helpful. Whether you want your first tattoo or your 20th one, this is definitely a spot you should check out.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t waste your time or money. Yes, it’s standard to purchase jewelry when getting pierced—but the quality here is shockingly poor and way overpriced. I paid $300 for two small pieces that broke within three weeks (I still have them). I ended up replacing them with my platinum diamond earrings, which worked perfectly. You’re better off going to a reputable piercing studio that charges around $50 for quality placeholders and professional service. To make matters worse, when I called to express my concerns, the person I spoke with was rude and dismissive. Totally unacceptable.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the nicest experience ever for my first piercing, i chose the side labret and they were all super helpful and very attentive, definitely will be getting more piercings with them, i liked the environment a lot as well as the staff and the pieces of jewellery. So far i only experienced a bit of pain when the girl was doing it but it only lasted a second, it’s not swollen neither i’m in pain. Loved this!
