Fantastic experience: So organized and chill. Ryan gave me and my friend a naval piercing. We were both nervous but he was so calm and professional! Answered all of our nervous questions LOL. Also the piercing pain was like a 2/10 and I’m convinced it was only like that because we had a great piercer. Wonderful experience and most likely a go to place now.

Negative experience: The studio was clean and the staff were nice, but I don’t think there was enough focus on checking anatomy for certain piercings even when asked. I later found out from another piercer that a different jewelry style would have been a better fit for me. I’m sure they are better at tattoos and certain piercings. :(

Negative experience: The piercer was 40 mins late. To their credit, they did add a discount, but that's already a red flag. I was given incorrect cleaning advice and was told to spray directly into the pierced area. As such, my earlobe piercings took over 8 months to fully heal. The jewelry is also fairly expensive for what it is

Fantastic experience: GO SEE JESSE!! I was able to finally cover up my old work finally with a black out sleeve, people love it when I go out and I love showing it off. My old sleeve made me so self conscious as it was butt ugly and I hated it, with Jesse’s schedule, pricing and confidence in helping me cover it up, I can walk around in a tank top and short sleeves again. ‍

Negative experience: I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this shop. I was five minutes late for my birthday piercing appointment and was immediately turned away but not before being charged 50% of the service price. I understand that policies are policies, but as a business owner myself, I always strive to show my clients compassion. Katie made it seem like she was fully booked, yet the shop was completely empty. It felt like an unprofessional and lazy excuse rather than a legitimate scheduling issue. I won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Response to Owner: I completely understand the importance of a late policy, but a strict 5 minute cutoff is not very common. I recall checking my phone as we were walking in, and it was 3:06 just six minutes past my scheduled appointment. There were still a few slots open for the day when I had booked the appointment just an hour prior and even spoke with the shop within that timeframe, so I would have appreciated a heads up about the policy during that conversation if it was going to be strictly enforced. Beyond that, the overall vibe in the shop felt off. When we walked in, no one greeted us or made any effort to welcome us. Instead, we were met with awkward stares, and even when we approached the front desk, there was a lack of acknowledgment. The energy was uncomfortable, and I did not appreciate feeling like an inconvenience or a nuisance for simply arriving a few minutes past the scheduled time. I understand policies are in place for a reason, but the way everything was handled did not sit right with me.

Fantastic experience: Got my nose opened back up. Didn’t realize I didn’t need an entire piercing until after I got there. The tattoo artist is so talented. It took less than two minutes for the entire process. I love this place!

Fantastic experience: Nice, clean shop. Went in for a tragus piercing, and I'm very happy with the experience. The guy who did my piercing was awesome, he helped me pick out jewelry and get the perfect placement. Piercing was quick and easy and they even give you saline spray for the aftercare! I'll definitely be coming back here for more piercings in the future.

Fantastic experience: Huge shout out to Alex. I got pierced at Steady about a month ago and unfortunately one of my piercings started to embed. He had me come in the next day to look at it even though the shop was closed. Exceptional and professional service all around!

Fantastic experience: Called and made an appointment same day for a septum piercing. Once you arrive immediately you can tell it’s a very clean and well run establishment. Alex was setting up as I filled out my paperwork. Once I was finished he was ready too. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. I knew right away I was in good hands. He explained the entire process before hand so I knew exactly what was going to happen. He showed me all the tools and how everything was sterile. During the piercing he made sure I was okay after each step. Gave clear instructions to me on what I needed to do (breathing, close my eyes). I went in at 4:00pm and was done by 4:20pm. By far a great experience and how fast it went was amazing. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to get a piercing.

Positive experience: It's a good professional shop (for piercings, which is what I got. Tattoos I can't say, but the walls were American Traditional.) with a really solid piercer. Super accommodating. Really the only dock is time management. I set up an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early, and still waited 30 minutes past my appointment time. A Mom and daughter combo came in after me and got seen before me (they might have had an appointment, I couldn't say). So, good experience once I got in. Just don't know what happened time wise. So, yeah I think it's a good shop, nice selection of jewelry, sanitary, and informative. Time was my only ding for them.

Fantastic experience: Best piercing experience in the Twin Cities. I've now had 3 piercings done by Alex, and I just keep coming back. It is a beautiful and clean environment, he explains everything clearly and you're in and out quickly and painlessly. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: I've been here twice, and both experiences were wonderful. My first time I got a nose piercing. She was kind and quick and made the process so easy! The second time, I got a tattoo. He was also kind and made the process easy. He was quick but only because I had a small tattoo. It's been a few years since I got it done, and it still looks awesome.

Fantastic experience: Been to this place many times already and it's been a great experience every time! Got both lobes and one helix pierced, Alex is amazing and the piercings are healing well. I've also got a tattoo the size of about a quarter sleeve from Jerome, and he's really good especially with shading! This place is so underrated I wish more people knew about them!

Fantastic experience: Alex pierced my septum with wisdom and gentleness. I appreciate how he talked me through what he was going to do. He had me hold a mirror as he explained how my nostrils were different from one side to the other and how that could potentially effect how the jewelry sat. I felt like he gave me all the information I needed to make my decision on how I wanted to proceed and had him continue. He then use his gloves fingers and the q-tips to clean the inside of my nose as he felt around for where the best placement should be. Once he was satisfied and described to me what was coming next and got my full consent, he proceeded with efficiency and gentleness. The actual piercing was swift and near painless. I kept my eyes closed (mostly because I’m awkward with people up close in my space. Lol) and I didn’t tear up much. It was a brief, sharp pinch that receded immediately. He then explained he was going to insert the jewelry, told me he was about to touch my face (because my eyes were still closed) and installed the closed ring and ball gently and quickly. It all was done in 15 minutes. He gave me a neat little after care package with instructions, nasal wash, and a sweet treat. Thoughtful! We discussed how long it needs to heal, what to expect while healing, etc. and I will definitely be back to have Alex change out my ring for my next piece of jewelry from his selection of jewelry options. Three weeks later, it’s still healing well. I follow his instructions twice daily. I sent my daughter to him today to have her septum pierced and she is super happy as well. Miigwech, Alex! Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Steady! It was very clean and I love how all their jewelry was displayed. They took the time and answered all my question about both tattoos and piercings and I felt very comfortable. I can’t wait to go back when I’m fully healed and switch it out for a unique piece :) I definitely will recommend them to anyone who asks!

I've had my nostrils done before at a completely separate place and they unfortunately did not heal and I had to take them out. Alex made sure to give great advice so my healing process was more smooth and already I see a huge difference. He also made the positioning on my face 100X better! Fantastic experience: Got my septum done here not too long ago. I was super impressed with the cleanliness and how kind all of the workers are. The piercer was super knowledgeable about what they were doing and did a great job. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was done safely. Fantastic experience: My friend and I got our nostrils pierced by Alex and we're both so happy with how they turned out! The shop was bright and clean and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Everything was very sterile and Alex made sure we both knew what was happening and were comfortable. He was very professional and so nice throughout the process and I love how my piercing turned out! I can't recommend it enough!

Negative experience: I got my ears pierced here in August—my first piercing—and it turned out to be a nightmare. I wanted to go to a reputable piercing place instead of a Claire’s at a mall, but Claire’s might have been better. The skin grew over the back of my piercing, and I had to go to the doctor to get the piercing removed from my earlobe! It was also infected. I cleaned it every day for weeks when I got it, and it looked good at the follow-up appointment. I was very clear about this being my first piercing and needing thorough aftercare instructions. The doctor said it was the worst earring she’d ever seen. She could barely figure it out. I tried removing the non infected one—for 15 minutes—and I couldn’t remove it! I have no experience with jewelry, so I am frustrated they wouldn’t sell me something easy to put in for a first earring. My infection is cleared, but I have to get my one ear pierced again. I will be buying new earrings that actually work.

Fantastic experience: My experience was stellar. The site is neat and tidy. The staff are professional and patient. I was in for an eyebrow piercing by Alex - the process was quick and straightforward. At time of writing (10/18/2021), masks are required and only one client allowed inside at a time. I would visit them again!

Positive experience: Appt was early Sept: I got a floating navel pricing but my pricer pierced it with a 14g but 1/2in bar WAY TOO SMALL! It only took 3-4 days for it to start to embed had to go to different shop to get a longer bar (the only reason I didn't go back to steady is because my work schedule didn't line up and another place could get me in). I was in a lot of pain due to sheer swelling.. I eventually just took it out because the embed jewelry was giving early signs of infection. irritated that for pricing, then getting fixed at another place then doctor the dumb thing cost upwards of 200

Fantastic experience: I've had two great experiences at Steady. The first was a few years ago with a tattoo artist who now has her own shop. The most recent was with Selena who helped me find a piercing and jewelry that fit my body. She was kind and welcoming. The piercing table is very sturdy and I felt safe there as a fat person.

Fantastic experience: Selina was super helpful and helped walk me through the piercing process and everything I should know. I originally went in to get an industrial piercing but after looking at my ear she explained to me why that wouldn’t be a good idea and the complications it could have due to how my ear was shaped. Although it was kind of a bummer it was nice to have the honesty and it assured me that I was in good hands. I ended up getting two other piercings that day and so far both of them have been healing very nicely. I will be going back there for any other piercings I want to get in the future

Fantastic experience: Great experience. I got a septum piercing by Alex. Great piercer, straight to the point. Sadly their jewelry section is low but overall a great place. Everything was clean. He explained all the steps to take to clean and keep clean your piercing. They give you a lil bag with stuff to help clean your piercing. There's a pamphlet that tells you all you need to know about taking care of your piercing but also what piercing you got, size, and who did it.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rave about this place enough. I’ve gone there three times for two piercings and one nose ring change. I have an issue with my piercings closing right away and struggled to change it out after my first piercing and they were more than happy to help. The staff there are ALWAYS super helpful and make you feel welcomed. I will definitely continue to go there for all my piercing and tattoo needs.

Fantastic experience: This is my go to shop. Period. Both Selina and the current piercing apprentice Raechelle are top notch. They are so thorough, thoughtful, considerate, and pleasant to work with. I have seen Selina on multiple occasions for a handful of ear piercings. They explain the entire process, such as temporary jewelry for healing and installing a more ornate forever piece once the piercing is healed, how sizing works for temporary swelling, how to treat and heal my piercing most effectively. They always make me feel heard, understood and treated with care, especially with long term piercing goals in mind. The last time I went in Raechelle had changed out my jewelry on healed piercings I had temporary jewelry in and they had extended the same high caliber of service. I have plans to continue coming here through the years and highly recommend Selina and Raechelle for all and every piercing need.

I initially came in for advice on removing & healing a crooked piercing from another shop, and I came back to her for my re-pierce. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Having been through a botched piercing elsewhere, I can say that Selina's patience and calm demeanor made me so comfortable going into my appointment and I will be coming back for all future piercings and jewelry upgrades.

Fantastic experience: I went in to Steady Tattoo today, and also 5 years ago today, for nose piercings! I figured I’d come back on my 5 year nose-pierceversary! I had a fantastic experience with Selina, short wait time, and beautiful jewelry. I highly recommend steady tattoo for piercing as I can’t speak to their tattoos personally. Fantastic experience: I haven’t had any tattoos done here...yet! ;) But it’s been my go-to for piercings, which I have had visits with both Alex and Selina, and both are wonderful! Will runs a tight ship up front too, and is very knowledgeable and helpful! This is a welcoming shop, with good vibes all around!

Fantastic experience: Both pierce's I spoke with were very professional and knowledgeable. When I did get pierced it went extremely well, I was comfortable and very well informed of all the after care instructions. I also received a tattoo of my son's name in his hand writing by Kvam He did it perfectly! I have people ask on a regular basis even 6 months later if it's a tattoo or marker. I will definitely have more work done by him.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was pretty much painless and very clean/sterile! The piercer made sure I felt comfortable and got exactly what I wanted. Additionally, it's a really nice environment, well lit and with a lot of cool designs everywhere.

Fantastic experience: my mom and i both got cartilage piercings together a couple months ago and it was a great experience!! they are very patient and are willing to answer questions, but also efficient and they definitely know what they’re doing. we had alex piercing us and he was very professional. not to mention the whole thing was very inexpensive and good quality jewelry!!

Fantastic experience: I was scared but the artist who did my nostril piercing Selina, did a fantastic Job. She was great, she calm me by explaining the process to me and all. It was quick and didn't hurt. The girl in the front desk too was nice and helpful with the choice of jewelry. Overall I will recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Selina Ryan helped fix my teen daughter's crooked ear piercings that she got at the mall many years back. She is now able to wear two studs on each ear lobe positioned in a way that she loves! (The old holes will close eventually.) I loved the service so much, I went back to get my plugs stretched to the next size! Way easier than doing it myself, and I got some sick tunnels to go along with it. Sore for the night and that was that!!!

Fantastic experience: I got a helix piercing from Selina and it was a great experience. She was quick and it has healed very nicely. This is a modern, clean place to be pierced and Selina is cool and kind. The prices are great for the quality. I plan to be back soon for more piercings.

Fantastic experience: I've gotten two piercings here (nostril and nipples) from two separate piercers. One was Selina and another was a Man I don't remember the name of. I had very good customer service with both ladies who ran the front desk, and felt very comfortable with both piercers. Over all the place was welcoming and I had a lot of things to focus my mind on when i walked in even though I was secretly freaking out. Both piercings went smoothly. Selina was the one who did my nipples and I couldn't be more happy with everything. I would highly recommend her. Thank you! Also, the prices are overall "cheap" for piercings in Minnesota with great quality work. :)

Fantastic experience: I went to get my nose pierced yesterday and I was absolutely terrified but Selena made the experience very comfortable and fast. I was there for maybe 10 minutes. Fantastic experience: I've gotten my smiley, vertical labret, and both nostrils pierced here by Alex. Their pricing is very fair, and Alex is without a doubt one of the best piercers in the area. He makes the experience very relaxing, and it's over before you know it with little pain. I highly recommend giving this place a try for any piercings.

Fantastic experience: Just had a piercing re-opened by Selina. First, she is totally awesome and has a super cool personality, told me what she was doing every step of the way and I can’t wait to get another piercing done by her. Second the place in general is super clean. Everything is kept in individual packages, they have a great selection of earrings to choose from and are high grade quality. Third, when you walk in, they greet you quickly and get things going for you pretty quick once they know what you are there for, and everyone is super friendly. If you need tattooing or piercing, this is the place. I will definitely be back!!
