Fantastic experience: Absolutely raving about the five tattoos I’ve gotten from Zac. Every single one has blown me away—from the initial idea to the final ink. Zac somehow nails the vision every time, adds his own artistic magic, and the result is always better than I imagined. His line work is insanely clean, shading is flawless, and the pieces have healed beautifully. On top of that, the whole experience is great: professional, chill, welcoming, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his craft and his clients. Five tattoos in, and I wouldn’t trust my skin to anyone else. If you’re even thinking about booking with Zac—do it. You’ll be obsessed.

He consistently puts out really nice stuff in all spectrums of tattooing and has always been really humble and strait up about process, and how things work/look. I’m extremely satisfied about the out come of all 30+ tattoos I’ve had him do on my leg and arm now. I can’t wait to do more work with him in the future and will be consistently coming back for Zac.

Negative experience: im very sad and disappointed in the service i had done. i went in to get matching tattoos with my friend and we went on a whim thinking it would be fine. my friend had peter do hers and it turned out pretty well, but zac did mine and to say im disappointed is an understatement. this is only my second ever tattoo and the first time getting one here and im genuinely on the verge of tears. i knew that my tatttoo wouldn't probably be perfect, but i was expecting something presentable and cute, and instead got something that looks like a toddler did it and im genuinely not even trying to be rude when i say that. on top of that, zac went way too deep into my skin, luckily not deep enough for major blow outs, but deep enough to where its healing wonky and still pretty sore considering its been 24 hours. i would not recommend coming here at all, especially for fine line work. i just got it done so i have to wait for it to heal, but i will be looking into a touch up/cover up somewhere else and hope its salvageable.

Fantastic experience: We chose Scottish Rose for my 4yr old daughter’s ears piercing after a friend recommended. Jenna was absolutely incredible. She was so calm and kind which helped my daughter have the confidence to get pierced. Scottish rose was very clean and clearly holds themselves to high standards-which I appreciate greatly. My daughter’s piercings were done with great precision and care and have healed incredibly well. Truly no trauma whatsoever. I would recommend over and over again.

Fantastic experience: Peter came highly recommended from some friends and family, and I can see why. I knew his work was incredible from seeing their tattoos. But it was great to experience it myself. I gave him an idea of what I wanted with a few pictures and he definitely delivered. He drew up a ton of birds and let me pick my favorite and how I wanted them arranged. He makes you feel comfortable during the process, and his work is very high quality. Definitely recommend visiting him for your next tattoo!

I got my tragus, daith, and conch piercings done by Jenna McLeod, and I am genuinely blown away by how positive and seamless the whole process was. These have been the easiest and fastest-healing piercings I've ever gotten—a huge difference from the prolonged healing time I experienced with my previous helix and upper lobe. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Scottish Rose for children's first piercings. Jenna spent an enormous amount of time with my 5yo. I've never seen someone spend so much time perfecting the placement of an earring-- LOTS of measuring, etc. She is clearly as artist [which is one reason we chose a profesisonal piercer over the nurse trend or a piercing gun.] She let my daughter choose the music, have treats/toys/stickers, and gave her the cutest bravery certificate at the end! The actual piercing was quick. Jenna is calm, patient, and sweet-- clearly a mom who loves kids. AND she is going to adapt my daughter's competition dance earrings by taking the decorative part and soldering it to an 18-gauge titanium post with a flat-back for safety/stability/comfort. She's helping us avoid tearing lobes and sore ears-- worth the $70.

Fantastic experience: We brought my daughter in on her 19th birthday to check if her 2nd holes on her ear lobes a had closed up or needed to be re-pierced. Jenna the owner was so informative, kind, and had a great vibe. My husband and I ended up also re gauging our ears with the help of Jenna. It was a great family day outing and our youngest can't wait for her 9th birthday to get her 2nd lobe pierced by Jenna!

Fantastic experience: Came in to get my helix jewelry swapped and ended up leaving with a tattoo also! Nick took my sister and I as a walk in and did a fantastic job. 10/10 experience! Adorable shop and everyone I’ve interacted with has been a delight

Fantastic experience: I called and asked if they accepted walking and they checked if the piercer was available and they were. Came in and the shop had lots of cool stuff and jewlery to look at. Also was a little bit of a long wait but we didn’t make an appointment so it was understandable as well as she gave me a free jewlery upgrade for the wait. Kiah did my piercing and was very nice. She talked me thru the process and it went very good. I got my eyebrow pierced. She explained the aftercares as well. It was a little more expensive than other places I’ve gone but it was still good. I’m glad I chose to go there. I was nervous about it a lot but it went good.

Negative experience: I got a tattoo here about 2 years ago. I sent the guy a picture of what I wanted and explained pretty in depth exactly what I wanted. All he had to do in some parts was just print the picture and trace over it, which anyone can do it doesn’t take skill to go over some lines but yet somehow he managed to butcher the tattoo entirely to the point where it’s shaded black so bad that it looks like I got a cover up… I’m not sure if he did that on purpose or what but having a black patch where there we’re supposed to be clear designs is insane. I hate the tattoo and it’s almost a whole sleeve so it looks super bad I don’t even like going out anymore and showing my arm, I don’t even want to fix it or get any new tattoos because of this experience. Mind you the dude said he’s been tattooing for over 15 years which is why I trusted him to begin with.

He has done five of my tattoos and it is so hard to choose my favorite they are all beautiful, and all still look brand new after a few years. Definitely recommend going here and seeing Peter! Wouldn’t go anywhere else after I found him. He has incredible stories too and knows how to keep a conversation!

Fantastic experience: I got my first ever tattoo done in November '24 and the whole experience was AWESOME! As mentioned, I went in really nervous without an appointment and am extremely lucky that Michael had an opening. We talked, he drew up the design, got to work, and shortly after I walked out with exactly what I wanted at a really reasonable price! He was very honest, straightfoward, and is incredibly good at what he does. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: We were in yesterday to get my daughter’s ears pierced. Kiah was absolutely amazing with my 5 year old, explaining every step of the process and making sure she was comfortable with everything she was planning to do. We never felt rushed, even when my daughter took her sweet time deciding which earrings she wanted and looking in the mirror after marking the ears with ink. Kiah gave us plenty of time for my daughter to regroup between piercings and went over the very clear after care instructions. I would highly recommend this place, and Kiah especially, for any piercings.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriends & I got tattoos today by Zack. He was extremely patient, accommodating & understanding. He delivered the perfect tattoo. Would highly recommend this place for a tattoo or piercing. Everyone was extremely welcoming & the shop was very clean.

Negative experience: Sat there for hours waiting to get in. Had been told two weeks prior to just come in and not make an appointment. Was there to get my daughter’s tattoo done for her birthday. She had a dinner cruise she had to be at in the evening. We were told it would take a maximum of an hour and a half wait time we waited over two hours close to 2 1/2 before we were called back. Novices at getting a tattoo, so did not realize that the timeframe for the tattoo would be an hour and a half roughly. When I asked the question to the man that was helping my daughter and got the answer, 1.5 hours. I apologized profusely, but we weren’t going to be able to do it because she needed to get to her next destination by a certain period of time. He then proceeded to swear at myself and my daughter. Cussing us out. Now, if I had been told all of this two weeks ago, when I asked about scheduling an appointment, it would’ve been a different story. But I am not going to get sworn at because I wasted 10 minutes of his time when there was nobody else in the store. I do not recommend going there. Also, the guy that was supposed to have been open to do our tattoo after only an hour and a half decided to take an hour long lunch break and then have a nap in his chair. Had he actually done the tattoo we would’ve had it finished on time. Not to mention their place wasn’t very clean.

Fantastic experience: Jenna is AMAZING!!! My sisters and I had an absolute blast. She took fabulous care of us, we are so grateful! Extremely sanitary/clean, great jewelry selection, all around wonderful. We will be back! :)

Positive experience: Got both my kids ears pierced. The piercer, Jen, was awesome with the kids. They even got to give her stuffy a piercing. Would have loved to be told the price of jewelry at booking. Was told ear lobes are $50 for the pair but no one mentioned that jewelry would be another $150 per pair of earring. Ended up being a $400 trip when I was expecting $100. No mention of jewelry cost until it was time to pay, no signs or anything.

Fantastic experience: What a pleasure it was to have Peter do my tattoo today! He did a phenomenal job on my tattoo of hummingbirds and flowers!! His ideas were spot on and the work he did was perfect. So easy to have conversations and I can honestly say I will definitely go again-maybe in a couple of months!! Thank you so much, Peter

Negative experience: We called ahead of time regarding walk ins. We were told they weren’t busy and we could come in. Upon arrival, we spoke to the same guy we had spoke to on the phone. He reiterated they weren’t busy and an artist would be with us shortly. One artist was finishing up a piece on someone and two other artists were sitting around talking. The person finished their tattoo and left, leaving 3 artist available and no other patrons inside the shop besides us. All artists went and stood outside of the shop talking and laughing. After sitting for 20 minutes and not being helped or acknowledged, we left.

Fantastic experience: My 6-year-old got her ears pierced by Jenna, and it was such a positive experience! Jenna was personable, easy-going, and very detail-oriented. She was patient with my nervous kid and empowered her to make decisions on her own time. I would recommend Scottish Rose to anyone!

No offense to Claire’s and the like, but getting your ears pierced without the gun makes a much better angle through the lobe. Thanks!!

Negative experience: We walked in and got a tattoo consultation with an artist same day. We talked over our design ideas and the artist gave us a number to send the ideas to and that he would get back to us. A week later, we never heard anything back. We ended up going somewhere else for our tattoos.

Fantastic experience: Kristy did an amazing job with my helix piercing! She is personable and will make sure you are comfortable during the whole process. Kristy also cares a lot about the healing process of your piercing….which is huge, because cartilage piercings are no joke when it comes to healing. Since my first visit, I’ve been in a couple times to get my piercing checked and eventually have the stud changed. I saw Kristy again, as well as, Taylor, who was also very helpful. If you are looking for an excellent place for piercings, I recommend going to Scottish Rose Tattoo and seeing either Kristy or Taylor!

Fantastic experience: We brought our 5 and 6 year old girls here this past weekend to get their ears pierced. Jenna was so excellent and walked them both through each step. The earrings are the highest grade of titanium and backless so their little ears won’t be as sensitive. We couldn’t ask for a better experience! Jenna is a perfectionist and so great with kids which I appreciated so much. She told them it is their body, their choice and gave them ownership over the experience. What she does here is truly an art form!

Fantastic experience: Very inviting, clean and comfortable space. My favorite place to get piercings at. Honeycutt did an amazing job on my septum, nose and tragus. Fairly priced for the amazing service being provided. I love this joint. Edit: I’ve now also gotten a tattoo here. The artist Nic did an amazing job! Will be back

Fantastic experience: Got snakebites from Kristy here today—easily made appointment, everyone was kind and friendly, and Kristy is phenomenal. She took the time to make sure I loved the piercing placement and jewelry options and overall went over everything well. Lovely person, takes pride in her work, deserves all the tips in the world. Healing looks to be on a good trajectory already but will for sure be back for a follow up and more piercings.

Fantastic experience: This is less of a review and more of a thank you note to Jeff. I had a tattoo done by another "artist" at another shop to commemorate a very meaningful anniversary and they left my forearm looking like I had applied a temporary tattoo purchased at five below. I asked Jeff if he thought he could help and he gave me a tattoo I'm ecstatic about and proud to show off. He took his time to make sure every detail was perfect and now I have before and after pics that are in different universes. Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful first tattoo experience with Jeff! He was very reassuring and patient, I just wanted a small heart outline. He is very talented and experienced, great sense of humor and his portfolio is expansive and impressive. The other tattooists and piercers at the shop were also all very welcoming and kept us entertained while my friend got her tattoo. Had my anatomy checked there for a navel piercing before deciding on my tattoo and i was given very informative and professional advice and insight on the piercing and alternative options for me. All in all 10/10 experience, will definitely be visiting for another tattoo!

Fantastic experience: I had the absolute pleasure of being tattooed by Jimmy almost a month ago. It was the most pleasant experience I have had getting a tattoo so far! Conversation was so easy and he paid so much attention to detail that it has become my favorite piece so far! It has become a lovely memorial piece for my late grandfather. I will absolutely be coming back to him for so many more! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new artist. Can’t wait for more :))

Jimmy tattooed a white parakeet over my spine and upper back and did FANTASTIC. Consider quality when you want a tattoo, and I HIGHLY recommend Scottish rose, especially Jimmy ;)

Fantastic experience: Scottish Rose had been recommended to me by a friend as a great place that also does walk-ins. I decided on a whim to get one done on New Years Eve (the tattoo itself wasn't the whim, but getting it that day was). I happened to get there in a brief window of down time, and Jeff got to work on my sketch right away. He took his time with such great care in his sketching and the tattooing, I knew he wanted to get this right for me. This tattoo means a lot to me, and I'm glad Jeff could make it happen, and better than I imagined. I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: I had the absolute pleasure of having Jeff create an amazing tattoo that I’d been sitting on for years. I’ve had piercings done here, but this was my first tattoo at this location. He was so kind, soft-spoken and TALENTED. One thing I really liked is that he took the artistic lead when I asked him to - I’ve had many tattoo “artists” unwilling or unable to think outside of the picture I’ve given them. When I asked Jeff, he jumped in with fresh, unique ideas. He also impromptu-refreshed an old, crusty tattoo for me in the same session and it looks phenomenally better than the original one I got. I’m already planning my next session with him. ♥️

Fantastic experience: Saw Kristy for a conch and second and third ear piercings. She has such a vibrant energy and should definitely consider doing stand up in addition to being a piercer. I called around asking if any artist could help me to fix the bad tattoo. After calling a few places, Jeff was the first artist who I talked to who actually took initiative and took time to listen and figure out a way to help me! He stayed after the shop closed, took his time, and was clearly confident in his work, as he should be because he’s an incredibly talented artist!! 10/10 would recommend, and my husband and I will be returning for more of Jeff’s work! Fantastic experience: Jimmy was amazing and I can’t say enough about how happy I am with the work! Very happy with the results of my current pieces that were revamped and fixed. I am in love with my new piece and will definitely be back to add a few more.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough amazing things about Jeff. I called & asked if they take walk in appointments and I was told yes. When I met with Jeff I told him very vaguely what I wanted and he turned it into something I couldn’t even imagine myself. I loved it so very much. He even re-did my other tattoo that my previous tattooer messed up. It was a memorial tattoo and he was so understanding and kind about it. Not to mention, Jeff is very gentle, funny and very down to earth. I felt extremely comfortable with him! I will never go anywhere else. So happy I found Jeff and Scottish rose tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Amazing! I got 2 lobe piercings on one ear. My piercer was Taylor and she did a fantastic job! She marked where she was going to pierce and had me check it out before piercing. She talked me through the whole process which eased some anxiety. She is all around a wonderful human!

Fantastic experience: I was down in the cities for a weekend of hockey and on a whim, decided it was time to finish my tattoo with my 3 boys names on it. I had the older two, but not the youngest one's names on my wrist. I called and they were so friendly! They told me yes, come right over! As I walked up a couple of the artists were talking outside one of them, Jimmy said "hello how can I help you" right away! I told him what I wanted and he said " I'm gonna free hand this one! He was so nice to talk to and very friendly! He even gave the older part of my tattoo some "love" because of course, that part of the tattoo was much older. Jimmy did a beautiful job! I came to Scottish Rose looking for a touch up to a piece I got done out of state that was poorly done. Jeff not only made me feel better about the whole situation, but made my tattoo look amazing. Fantastic experience: Found my tattoo artist! After a great review of the shop from my Dad, my SIL and I walked in with an important family tattoo we wanted done. Jeff drew them out, made some improvements, added some personal touches and did a fantastic job! He listened and made sure we were getting exactly what we were looking for. We absolutely love how they turned out! I came back with my daughter for a matching tattoo and a re-do of a previous tattoo. We couldn’t be happier with his work! Fantastic experience: My new husband and I got married on 05/16/23 in Las Vegas. We planned on getting matching tattoos while there but unfortunately didn't have the time. As soon as we got back to MN, we started calling around to see who could get us in asap. Thankfully the stars all aligned and we got in with Jimmy at Scottish Rose Tattoo. I am soooo glad we did because Jimmy was AWESOME! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel so comfortable! I am rather picky and was nervous about telling him the size he originally printed out was too big for my liking but he was totally cool about it, so laid back and chill. He was also very genuine and super easy to talk too. I probably talked his ear off, but he didn't seem to mind. If he did, he sure didn't show it! My husband and I both enjoyed our experience with Jimmy so much, that my husband is already planning on going back to get more work done. We are so thankful to Jimmy and Scottish Rose for getting us in on "walk in" basis and for Inking a little symbol that represents one of best days of our lives. Everything about our trip to Scottish Rose was stellar! The shop was also super clean and sanitary! Go see Jimmy! You won't regret it!
