Fantastic experience: this place is so adorable jake was able to fit me in for a conch piercing and he did an awesome job!

Negative experience: Got a decent sized arm tattoo done a few years ago and it was immediately blown out and scarred. All of it blurred together soon after and looks terrible. Bummed because of how much it cost and hearing that this is a shop thats supposed to do nicer work than that. I’m sure there’s a lot of great work done here but clearly not all of it is. Now figuring out how to get it removed because of how bad it is. Never left a review but after having other artists comment on how bad the blow out is figured I’d leave a review.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience! I walked in on a Sunday for an ear piercing without a clear idea of what I wanted. Front desk staff helped me start to think through my decision paralysis, and then Jake took over and guided me to just the right choice (conch and helix piercings, same ear). The process was clearly explained along every step (no surprises), the piercings themselves were done with care and minimal pain, and I felt so comfortable the entire time. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind and genuine.

Fantastic experience: After having multiple tattoos done by Kyle I can confidently that his bed side manner and genuine love of the craft is hard to replicate. He's an exceedingly talented artist with an encyclopedia of talking points and a level of experience that makes hours feel like minutes. Whether it's a sailor jerry day, a matching tattoo with my mom, a forearm full of text, a fish, a butterfly, any and everything I have gone to Leviticus for they have delivered on every note. As her mother I appreciated all the attention to detail and clear instructions that Leviticus gave. The jewelry selection was amazing and we didn’t feel pressured into anything specific. Fantastic experience: Best piercing experience I've had. I would personally recommend Selina for your piercing needs. It was easy to book online and the piercing experience was efficient and comfortable. Selina was professional, welcoming, and warm. My follow up appointment to adjust jewelry was quick and easy. In addition, there was a significant snow storm when my follow up was scheduled and the shop reached out proactively to see if I wanted to reschedule (which I did!). It was a wonderful, professional experience, but also did not sacrifice any of the cool factor I hope for in a tattoo/piercing shop! Will be back.

Fantastic experience: Selina is my go-to for all piercings. They are patient, thorough, gentle, and skilled—always taking the time to explain the process and make sure placement is perfect, that the jewelry sits just right. I’ve had several facial and ear piercings done by them over the years, along with custom jewelry orders, and we’ve got more planned for my ear stack. The front desk staff is exceptional. I’d also had a tattoo done years ago and it’s held up great. I need to come in for more! All around a fantastic shop.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience ever! Raechelle Gabrielle is phenomenal!! I booked an appointment with her because she was highly recommended. Before the appointment, I had some concerns regarding the healing process as I’ve had some scarring in the past. Raechelle answered all my questions and concerns, and she was VERY reassuring. When it came to the piercing, she examined my anatomy to determine the best place. After she set a place, I was able to view it to ensure I felt confident. The piercing itself wasn’t painful; I felt very at ease because she was so experienced and knowledgeable. I would absolutely come back for all my piercings! The studio itself is super cool. I love the koi pond.

Fantastic experience: I've come here for 2 tattoos and I'm scheduled for my 3rd. The staff here is really friendly and helpful! The shop is amazing; it has koi ponds filled with koi fish located throughout the layout, it's cool to watch the fish as you get tattooed. Jr Vasquez has been my artist for all my work; he is incredibly talented and gifted at what he does. I would highly recommend choosing Leviticus and Jr if you are looking for a high-quality tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I've had many sessions with Jessi Graden and get compliments on the tattoos she's done all the time. She is an incredible artist and a lovely person. She always checks to make sure I'm comfortable and offers breaks throughout the session, and always follows suit if I feel in the mood for talking or not. She's always excited to work on my pieces and I have plans for several more tattoos I'd like from her. The front staff is also always incredibly friendly and seem genuinely happy to see me and ask how things are going. Lovely place with lovely people.

Fantastic experience: I was bummed having been cancelled on appointment by another shop 2x in one day due to weather. I called Leviticus in same day— I wanted to get my septum repierced properly after waiting a few years for my wrongly pierced one first to heal fully. The people working appointments/ front desk were very kind & communicative. Jake was willing to fit some time in to help me achieve getting my septum redone; I really appreciate the flexibility & communication from everyone involved! Super approachable/friendly folks. The whole shop was a great experience, they are organized, front desk staff are nice and helpful. I also bought a new tragus ring and the piercer put it in. Great experience all around. (Had previous experience with a different shop/artist starting my sleeve and it was awful). Take my word for it, they do great work here- dont look any further!!

I was seen very quickly, the front desk staff was awesome, and my tattoo artist (Yolk) went above and beyond. I couldn't recommend this place more to anyone. I felt welcomed and listened to. Fantastic experience: I’m SO GLAD I came to Leviticus—the piercers here are incredibly skilled. I came in with a year-old dermal piercing that had been snagged and was sitting at a weird angle halfway out of my face. It’s one of my favorite piercings and has a lot of sentimental value for me—it was the last one I had done by my former piercer before he passed away—so I was really sad because I figured I’d have to have it removed. Raechelle Gabrielle worked some ABSOLUTE MAGIC with a piercing needle. I don’t know how she did it, but she somehow managed to adjust the anchor under my skin in a way that triggered it to restart the healing process and naturally move itself back into place—something I didn’t even know was possible for this type of piercing. It’s now one week later, and it already looks so much better. 10/10 recommend Leviticus--and especially Raechelle! She's amazing. ✨

She's only eight so got scared a little bit, but Raechelle was incredibly calm, didn't push the situation and handled it like the absolute expert that she is! Fantastic experience: Tim orth did my first tattoo. I went big and got a full sleeve. He took great care of me and was pretty cool to work with. I had a reaction to the saniderm and he checked up on me for the next few days after to make sure it was all good. For that I am super greatful. Positive experience: Vibes were great and the staff were friendly, but I was sold $100+ nipple jewelry without being asked about gauge. The length was fine, but no one mentioned that they only carry 12g as their normal size, which isn’t the industry standard. Since I’m not the pro, I didn’t know to ask, I assumed they would guide me on that. I later realized it didn’t fit my piercings. I called to let them know so hopefully this doesn’t happen to someone else. Just be sure to confirm your gauge before buying.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate to be styled by SELINA at Leviticus who I just can't speak more highly of. I had an appointment with her for jewelry for my wedding and it was such a wonderful experience. Selina is extremely professional, took the time to listen to my preferences and shared her expertise on what would look good. That was so helpful for me because I have a hard time making decisions, but she asked for input and feedback throughout the whole process, so it was very personalized and to my preference and style. She was thorough in considering my anatomy as well as vibe of the wedding and my dress, etc. She provided a comfortable and calming experience throughout the entire appointment and helped make me look and feel beautiful! My wedding was the best day of my life so far, but the second best day of my life was my appointment with Selina.

Fantastic experience: By far my favorite shop in the Twin Cities! I saw Selina for piercings, and she was absolutely wonderful. I was a bit nervous heading into the appointment, but Selina took her time to ensure I had the proper anatomy for the piercings and that I felt comfortable with everything. Selina was able to do an amazing job with my nipple piercings—something some other artists were hesitant to do due to my smaller anatomy. However, Selina’s expertise shined from the moment I met them, and the piercings turned out perfect. I cannot recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: I have so many good things to say about this place. First, when you walk into the shop, it’s beautifully decorated in a rustic-gothic style aesthetic with beautiful greenery, art and the most fun part- beautiful Koy fish we got to meet and feed by hand. They added that soothing bliss that is an unusual but incredibly wonderful addition to a carefully curated spot. Every single employee was kind, attentive and called us by name. For fear of sounding old, you don’t find that level of service very often anymore. I’ve never felt so well attended to when getting a tattoo. Mark completed tattoos for both my nephew and myself. He was an absolute pro! And so patient with my sweet first timer! He not only worked and reworked his design a few times, he offered amazing suggestions and my nephew couldn’t be more excited. For my tattoo I can say all of the things were considered as well, I have had a decent amount of tattoos so I was comfortable and confident but Mark was even next level with me and engaged in great conversation and a very chill vibe. We will definitely go back to see him. I think my nephew is hooked! And we are happy to report that Leviticus, staff and Mark made this happen. (I started my journey long ago but this was definitely an elevated experience!)

Fantastic experience: I started going to Leviticus maybe a year or so after I moved to Downtown Minneapolis. I believe my first was during COVID. The shop was very nice to me as I was learning. They have been responsive and respectful. Other shops in Minneapolis are good, but they sometimes don't come across as both as robust in asking questions about the tattoo design as well as getting back in a relatively quick manner. The shop itself has a great mixture of artist designs as well as a general feel that is comfortable. I also like the music they play over the speakers there. The koi pond is great. I believe the music artist Halsey got a tattoo here when she came to Minneapolis once. I agree with her choice as I have gotten all five of my tattoos here. The front staff are fun and friendly. It is really easy for me to ask questions about tattoo aftercare, pricing, and just making small talk with them. For example, I wanted to know what a good place to eat around the shop was and they gave me a lot of great recommendations. The artists there are so good. One thing that friends of mine or others have said is that Leviticus can be particular or they had a bad experience. Overall, I respect their opinion, however, the boundaries Leviticus sets help to make the environment one that is awesome to go to. When I go there, I want to put care and respect into the process. The artists are people and me being demanding, angry, or pressuring them to move faster is something that I like to avoid. Asking good questions and giving good opinions/negotiations in design has been great for me. I have always tried to respect the humanity of the artists and front desk. They have always returned the favor. Leviticus is not in the neighborhood I live in, but has become an integral part to my experience living in Minneapolis proper. If and when I get another tattoo, I will be going to Leviticus and would definitely recommend that anyone give them a try!

Fantastic experience: Leviticus Tattoo is stellar. The professionalism in the booking process and staff, the aesthetic and cleanliness of the space, and the caliber of artistry speaks to the level this studio delivers on. My artist was Tim Orth. Tim’s fantastic! He took the time to make sure my tattoo was done just right. "Permanent is permanent." he reminded me, when he could see I was hesitant to speak up on some tiny adjustments I had. The tattooing process itself was smooth and I could not be happier with the final result! The tattoo I got was very sentimental -- the footprint of my child from her first day in the world. Every little crease and color variation from the image provided made it into the design. I'm grateful the forever memory of my tattoo will have a positive connection to where it was done.

Fantastic experience: It was amazing from the moment you walked in!!! I was planning on getting 2 piercing, but figured 3 is better!! My piercer Jake was FANTASTIC!! Didn't make me feel rushed in selecting my choices for earrings!! Talked me through which ones would be the best and compliment one another and we got an amazing Bee themed ear!! I can't wait to come back and get my other side done!!

Fantastic experience: I have to leave you all in suspense for the moment it's only because when I went there you have to make appointment online but the place is absolutely gorgeous it's nice The setting is real comfortable I asked someone about the 3D tattoo and they have two guys that can perform that I'll let you all know when a time comes please be patient

Fantastic experience: I love Leviticus, I’ve been here for both piercing services and tattoos and loved both experiences. Raechelle and Selina have both been lifesavers for my piercing concerns. Tattooed by Jesse Heike and had a great experience with him, one of my best tattoos and he was very nice. I would recommend! Also a super cool building, good parking, I always seems clean and overall good vibes.

Fantastic experience: Love the professionalism that Leviticus provides. Their space is beautiful and clean. My piercer, Raechelle, is so phenomenal and knowledgeable. Raechelle has been helping me curate my ear piercings and jewelry pieces and I really value her vision and expertise. 10/10 stars!

Fantastic experience: I have never got work done here. But I walk past this business quite a bit and the outside if very welcoming and its clean. I was confused at first what it was about. But after seeing it here, I now know if I need another tattoo. This will be the place I will go.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here to work with Clifton on my tattoo projects for many years now. They’re so wonderful to work with, and I’m super happy with all my tattoos by them. You can tell that Clifton truly cares about their art and bringing the customer’s visions to life. The rest of the shop staff are awesome and I always feel super welcomed here. I always see that safety and cleanliness measures are taken very seriously by all the staff and artists. Highly recommend them for great quality tattoos and piercings!

Negative experience: Craig is a very talented artist but lacks greatly in preparing a design and holding himself accountable to what was discussed and agreed upon during the consult. I went to Craig to get a full arm sleeve (wrist to shoulder) in which we agreed would stay around $4,000 + tip. During the first 3 sessions, between waiting in the lobby, he spending over 2 hours each session just trying to think of what to tattoo, setting up his station and his breaks, tattoo time was limited to approximately 2-3 hours a session (when we had 6 hours scheduled each time). When I expressed concern about his ability to remain accountable throughout our business engagement, he turned cold towards me and dropped me as a client. So with less than 40% of my sleeve complete (costing $2,500) I now have to find a new artist. Horrible professionalism. On top of that, the front desk accidentally cancelled my standing appointment and Craig had to cancel a subsequent appointment making this entire ordeal last over 5 months… such a disappointment.

Fantastic experience: I just went in and got a lip piercing, service is great and they’re super sweet! Also provide instructions for aftercare on a paper<3 Definitely come here you’ll feel welcomed and they’re amazing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only been here for jewelry change services, but any time I’ve been here it’s been a great experience from the very helpful and welcoming receptionists on the phone, to the very friendly and professional piercers (I’ve met Selina and rachael) and they’re both great. I feel very welcomed at this shop and feel like they don’t shame me or make me feel insecure if I am not knowledgeable about all the logistics of my piercings, they’re able to educate me and help me in a way that doesn’t feel awkward or weird to me. The quality of the jewelry is great and they keep note of the size and length of the jewelry they put on you so if you came back it’s on file already. I’m excited to come back and get some piercings done by them here. I also feel like the jewelry selections here are of a better quality and also wide variety compared to other piercing shops in the area

Fantastic experience: Jake was incredible! So fun, so professional. I came in for a helix piercing and a jewelry change. Jake was so intentional on the jewelry suggestions he made to ensure they balanced with my current ear stack. I loved the care and thoughtfulness of the entire experience. I can’t wait to come back for another piercing!

Fantastic experience: Rachaelle (I hope I spelled that right) was fantastic. I went to her for double centered eyebrow piercings and she was very informative about what to expect during and after the appointment. I am well seasoned in getting pierced and these two piercings were done flawlessly and with care, which is evident in how nicely they have been healing. I really appreciate the experience she gave me. My only criticism has to do with a small scheduling confusion which happened online. I wasn't able to attach two eyebrow piercings to my appt so when I showed up, I was only booked for one although I had a made a note of it while booking the appt. It worked out for the best though and I'm only including it into my review in case anyone sees this and runs into the same issue- make sure to call the shop to ensure you are fully booked for all the services you want. Fantastic experience: just got my septum and i couldn’t have had a better experience. Selina was the one doing my piercing and she was so comforting and really informed me on everything. i will so be back for my next piercing.
