Negative experience: Worst tattoo shop I have ever been to they are not professionals. I had to pay 165$ for a tattoo that looks like shit. They used to be good when Brent owned them but now they suck. Don’t go here

The detail of my tattoos are over the top. Amazing work! Was there approximately 3 hours and he is a down to earth chill guy. He actually gives you advice and is not there for your money. My husband and I have been looking for a new place to get some work done on tattoos we've had planned but couldn't really find a place after moving from the east side. We were really drawn by Alex's work, and we were not disappointed! Fantastic experience: These guys have a cool shop. I am having the best experience with Alex Ortegus here at Chosen Art. I was referred to her, saw her artwork and I was sold. It's my first tattoo and she listened to what I wanted, did what she does best and presented me with an original that was incredible. When she sent me what she'll be putting on my arm, I was more than stoked. The first 3 hour session was great and when your artist says I can't wait to finish this for you, that's pretty cool. The 2nd session is scheduled and I know the finished product is gonna have me wanting a second tattoo. Yeah, and Alex will be doing it. I found my artist and I'm keeping her!

Fantastic experience: I contacted Eric about getting a lot of different tattoos on my hands. He was able to get me scheduled quickly. Once I walked into their new shop the greeting I received made me feel at home. Eric customized 4 different tattoos for me in no time then we go to down to business. He is fast light handed and at all times focused on the quality of the ink. The whole time I was in the chair we were engaged in great conversation not one dull moment. The whole vibe of his shop is top notch. 10 out of 10 would recommend this shop if you are looking for a new tattoo. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: First time working with this shop. I stopped in at their prior location on Thunderbird originally, but had the work done at their new location in old town Glendale. I like the new location alot - much more open and not in a busy strip mall. Sierra was my artist. She did a cover up of an old one - she did an awesome job laying it out and it looks great! I went to high school with her, and it is so impressive to see how her art has evolved. She has an incredible gift of being able to transform your vision onto paper, and then such a gentle hand when tattooing! Fantastic experience: Really cool shop. Had my first tattoo done here yesterday. My artist, Matt Foster, was a really cool guy. He gave me breaks whenever I asked, gave me pointers, and overall was a great artist. The piece that I got is phenomenal and I’m so happy. Overall 10/10 experience, definitely would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Matt was great! I knew what I wanted but than was unsure once we started talking through the placement. He was very patient with me and worked with me until I was confident in what and where I wanted my tattoo. It came out great, exactly what I wanted! He even checked on me a couple hours later. Fantastic experience: This shop is beautiful! Clean, and very comfortable. Alex did my tattoo and she is an amazing artist. She worked on a tree of life tat of mine which was done as a cover up many years ago; and I was just never really happy with it. Boy, that woman is amazingly talented. She heard my concerns and remembered the ideas I shared with her and created a unique piece for me that is more beautiful than I could have asked for. Seriously, stop searching for a tattoo place and head there now!!!

Fantastic experience: Matt Foster is AMAZING! I went in to get an old chest tattoo covered and you would have no idea it ever existed! It's absolutely stunning! He also did a script piece on my rib cage, that turned out rad! He has a very light hand and I liked his vibe, definitely put me at ease. I will for sure get future work done with him.

Tonight I got a matching tat with my sister in honor of our friend we lost last week to cancer and he did such a beautiful job. Very fast work and super patient!

Fantastic experience: Hands down, RECOMMEND. When you lose a family member it’s hard to cope sometimes. I wanted to get a tattoo that reminded me of my dad who I lost two months ago. I chose Matt to do my tattoo. I stalked his FB page so I could see his previous work and his tattoo style fit my criteria. I told him what I was looking for and how much this tattoo meant to me and he made it happen. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in, but I’m glad I choose him. I felt like he actually cared. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took his time and never rushed. I have 31 tattoos and this one by far was the least painful and most meaningful. The shop was clean, the atmosphere all around was great, everyone was nice. I wlll definitely be back for another piece in the future. Thanks Matt!

Fantastic experience: I has a design in my head to wrap around some existing work I had on my right forearm. Since I had the money, I didn't really want to wait weeks and months to get it done. I reached out to multiple shops in the area and was told "due to complexity, we need x amount of time" usually meaning weeks or whenever they got to it. I looked at Chosen Art, saw Alex's work and her Instagram and knew immediately she was the one to put my idea to ink. I contacted her through the Chosen Art website, she got back to me right away, I sent her a few pictures and she said she could do it, AND could do it the next day. Got to the studio, she did a quick consult, she already had the design planned out and just needed to size it to fit. my arm and existing work. She was even able to provide some suggestions to make the current and new designs look seamless and fixed some of the issues with the existing tattoos. Prior to this session, I'd never say for more than 2 hours, this session took almost 5 and was worth every minute. I told her my plans to continue adding to my current theme and she was already throwing suggestions my way. Since this tattoo was pretty big, I was concerned about care, so I emailed the shop with a few questions and even on a day they were closed, I got fast and courteous responses. From initial contact to final result, this experience was top notch. Alex is professional, courteous and easy to talk to and keeps you engaged during the tattoo process. I've recommended them to 2 friends already, and can't wait to show off my custom work of art. Thank you Alex, Eric and Chosen Art!!!

Nik was my artist and did a fantastic job both designing and inking my first ever tattoo and was super helpful throughout the entire process. Positive experience: This was very first experience getting a tattoo. I worked with Nik and told him my design. He communicated with me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted and was open to suggestions :0) Nik did an amazing job! I chose him for his realism and the plaid in the background on my tattoo - is awesome! The color and detail he created was very impressive. I found it odd that my tattoo was not wrapped before leaving. This was my very first tattoo. I communicated with him and he was open and helpful to answer questions regarding aftercare and the process. His artistry is awesome. At the time I was there (May 4) the shop's site had misinformation regarding aftercare on their website, I was glad I brought it up before leaving as I has already purchased sauve to use and was told it was incorrect and not to use it on my tattoo. The shop needs to ensure this information is correct and spend a bit of time after tattooing to review so clients understand and ready for what comes next. I would recommend Nik as he does care about his are and clients. He has been very responsive to my questions and my tattoo looks amazing.

When I showed up and talked to her about a coverup tattoo I wanted on my foot, she asked me to show her some pictures of what I had in mind and then said it would take a day to draw something up. I showed up the next day for the coverup, and it turned out better than I could have imagined! She really took the time to design the perfect tattoo for me. Fantastic experience: I walked in at 8pm and my tattoo was done in less than an hour. Tim was the one who helped me out. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he printed it out and got it put on transfer paper super quick with no issues. Everything was very clean and a good vibe and good music!. I love how they have little booth type areas so your not in just a big open room. Tim got it done, and I love my tattoo. Reasonably priced and great location. Highly recommend and will be going back!

Fantastic experience: I am always worried about getting tattoos especially with artist I didn’t know. I walked in and immediately get greet by Tim. I showed him a picture and listened to everything I wanted and he ensure that the sketch was to my liking. Not only is this place really chill, but it is very professional and they make sure you feel welcome. I did a half sleeve and it was just a great tattoo that I getting my full sleeve done by Tim. Words can’t explain how amazing this place.

Fantastic experience: Was it clean? Well of course. I mean I don't think too many people would stick around if a shop wasn't. Chosen Art Tattoo though sets the bar pretty high for other shops to compete in cleanliness of shop AND in their work. Can tell the staff likes to have fun, but serious about their craft. Everybody there was having a good time each time I've been there all while creating amazing works of art for the clients. I couldn't be happier with the piece Eric just did for me.

Jake got in touch with me, and has done amazing work. He designed all my work himself and has put it together where it looks awsome. I'd recommend Jake tattoo any family and friends.

I came in with a sketch of what I like and a budget and the wonderful staff and artists worked together with me to create a wonderful tattoo that I'm proud to have. They also explain aftercare and suggested some awesome products to help with the healing process.

Fantastic experience: After wanting a tattoo for several years, but not being sure about where to go, a friend of ours recommended Mat at Chosen Art. The tattoo he had created for her was the cleanest and most detail oriented piece we had ever seen, so we knew we would need to call on Mat for our own tattoo. I reached out to him via Instagram first and then exchanged phone numbers. He was extremely responsive via text as well as through his Instagram account. We went over the details of the tattoo and location where we thought we wanted it. After meeting with Mat for our initial consultation, he gave us some suggestions as to where the tattoo might be better placed and he was right. My husband received his tattoo last night and we could not have been more impressed. Mat is extremely professional, classy and wonderful to talk to. He puts you at ease, listens to what you want and helps you add personal touches to your art along the way. Coming from a background in health care, cleanliness was of the upmost importance to us. I don’t think you could ever find a more hygienic environment. Mat’s attention to detail was once again impeccable. I could go on and on, but won’t. Everything about this experience was amazing. I highly recommend Mat Valdeez at Chosen Art!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo for years, but was nervous about the actual process. My friend got one done by Mat and it was amazing! I went in last week and Mat was super patient and took his time listening to the ideas I had and helped me create an amazing design. He was patient as I made a number of tweaks before finalizing the design. I went in tonight and got it done. I couldn’t be happier with the results! Mat is super professional, the shop is clean and everyone else there was friendly as well. I would recommend @artistmatvaldeez to anyone looking.

Fantastic experience: Had great experience over all. Le artist Jake did a phenomenal job, even though I was twitching every couple seconds, being a pain in the ass lol I love the outcome and totally recommend Chosen Art to anyone looking for a tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Jason and Jake are both amazing artists and clearly have a passion for what they do. Amazing line work and beautiful color. My wife and I both got tattooed and were extremely impressed by the level of professionalism in the shop. The shop is extremely clean, a very good atmosphere, and ALL of the artist are extremely skilled. We will definitely be back for all of our future work. Fantastic experience: Went in for some Friday the 13th tattoos and Jake was my artist. He took his time and was super friendly. The tattoos turned out great. 10/10 would get poked by his needle again. SEND NUDES!

Fantastic experience: This place is the best tattoo shop around the phoenix area i’ve been too. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Jake did my tattoo and his line work is phenomenal and he is just a great tattoo artist. Will be going to him for other future tattoos. I highly recommend this place and jake as a tattoo artist.

Fantastic experience: Got a new tattoo with them last night and it’s beautiful! All of the artists are crazy talented but Mat is my (and my husband’s) artist. From the minute you walk in the door, everyone is friendly and the environment is super comfortable. I’ve been to other shops and they don’t even come close to Chosen Art. Mat did an awesome job on my new one and I can’t wait to go back for the next session!

Fantastic experience: My husband, daughter and myself came in this past Friday. This place is clean and everyone is super cool! Jason did my husband’s tattoo and it turned out awesome! Mat had a cancellation so he did mine and my daughters..we were first timers and a little nervous! He put us at ease right away and was a pleasure to talk to during the whole process. Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about this shop. I went in for my very first tattoo yesterday. We were greeted at the door right away and got the process started. Mat was my artist. He was amazing! Totally put me at ease as I was super nervous. He was very gentle and precise. He placed the stencil a couple different times until it was how I wanted it. He is also crazy funny! He kept me laughing the whole time. Nice laid back guy who took it easy on a nervous first timer! Will most definitely be back to see Mat again! Nice clean shop
