Fantastic experience: I have had multiple tattoos done here & each time Mckenna does an absolutely phenomenal job. She's super talented and I love how she will always help me with the placement to ensure that I will love my new ink. 10/10 recommend her to anyone wanting some awesome ink & chill vibes.

Negative experience: Let me start off by saying I don't typically do negative reviews (especially with small businesses). But this experience was not a good one so it warrants one. So I had previously been to this shop twice and had a great experience with another artist. When I asked about a neck tattoo, she recommended A.One, since she wasn’t comfortable tattooing that area yet. I was quoted $200–$250 for the design I chose and paid a $100 deposit toward that total. My appointment was at 1 pm, he didn't start tattoooing until 3:30. When i got there I was told I needed numbing cream at an additional cost which he would add to my total. When it finally was time for me to get my tattoo he had someone recording for promotional purposes (I assume) without prior discussion, then was told to do an on-camera interview immediately after. Prior he said he would freehand parts of the design and did not give me a proper opportunity to thoroughly check placement in a mirror before starting (he just asked if it was upright). When the tattoo was finished, a camera was immediately in my face. In the moment, I said I liked it. I was excited to finally have the piece done and honestly felt put on the spot. However... once I got home and was able to actually look at it without a camera or pressure, I realized it was not what I had approved. It definitely looks like two different photos were layered and traced together. It just overlapped and was not part of the agreed design. Despite the original quote, I was charged $400, on the call he didnt say the price was changed he just sent it on a photo he wrote on the back of the receipt. I didnt notice it because i was already told 250. When I reached out afterward to address both the design and pricing concerns, he was dismissive citing video footage of me saying I liked it immediately after the session. The only solution he offered was to give 150 to the artist that suggested him, but also the same artist who said she wasn't comfortable tattooing on the neck so that wasn't going to solve my problem. Ultimately he refused any type of refund or resolution. There was no signed paperwork, no clear pricing breakdown (poor communication), and the final result was not what I wanted at all. So no, I don't recommend being tattooed by A. One unless you're ok with being disrespected, and want to have a permanent piece that it's not done well. Update: Thanks for your response. I do want to clarify that I did not use slurs or curse at all (thats just not in my vocabulary) and I have recordings of all the calls that can confirm your false accusations. Contrary to what you wrote, I was not given a choice regarding the numbing cream. I also did not get the opportunity to look at the stencil once the line work was added. (You just asked if the design was upright) My concern has always been that the final tattoo did not match what I expected and I felt pressured during the process, which was stressful since I have anxiety. I did not refuse a solution.. I simply did not feel comfortable continuing after the experience I had that day. I shared my experience honestly, and that does not make me disrespectful. My intention was never to return to the shop, which is why I left this review.

Fantastic experience: Walked in and we were immediately taken care of for two bilateral lobe piercings by Dakoda. Dude was super professional, clean, and had great attention to detail. The entire process went buttery smooth especially for my 4 year old daughter, he took the time to make the environment feel comfortable and all said and done she didn’t even flinch or cry.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I both were walk ins for piercings. Hubby got his first lobe piercings and I got a conch. Dakoda was awesome! Super personable and helped us both feel at ease. Easy to talk to and great piercing technique. Super excited to come back for more and possibly some art as well!

Fantastic experience: I have been following A.ONE on IG for a few years now finally got around to getting some ink done by him; by far the best decision I made. I will not go to anyone else for my future tattoos this is the only man I will trust with a needle and ink. The experience was great no awkward moments or shooting the shit with the other artists he focused on the task at hand and gave me exactly what I asked for. The photos posted are a few days healed. He’s also kept in contact to see how the healing process is going idk any artist that has ever done that this guy really cares about his clients and his art.

Negative experience: Ok this is my first experience getting a tattoo and I have to say that it was pretty bad, it was expensive and not even good, the guy was watching TV all the time while he was doing it, and it came out horrible, now I'm gonna have to spend more money to fix this crap. Stay away from this place. Only a few a people can be called "artists " this looks like it was done by a 10 year old kid

A.one, the artist who worked on me, is incredibly professional and talented. From the beginning, they walked me through every step of the process, making sure I was comfortable and fully understood what was happening. The detail and shading in the black and gray work were absolutely stunning—A.one really brought the design to life with such precision and artistry. The best part? Negative experience: Disgrace of a tattoo artist, named A1- like the sauce lol. Was going to get a quote for a tattoo i wanted for my deceased sisters birthday and he was rude and unprofessional about me questioning a 1.5 inch buy 2 inch handwritten message for $250. Literally was asking a question and came for my throat- seems like a guy to purposely mess up your tattoo bc you looked at him funny. I’d recommend McKenna though, she was professional and seemed like she had a good head on her shoulders. Take your business elsewhere (like next door) and don’t get screwed over

We went in and visited with McKenna, told her what we wanted. She was very sweet and patient. Told us she would design them and we made our appt that next week. Negative experience: Juan...is a very good artist (saw his sketches), however not a good tattoo artist. I have close to 100 hours of ink all over, hands, feet, neck, all over. I went to Juan with a very simple design. Three days later 75% of that tattoo is gone, just the skin color I was born with. I asked him about his touch up policy, he said I'd need to pay shop minimum to get it fixed because it's a novelty tattoo. It's funny that none of my other novelty tattoos vanished on me, but this one did. I think the novelty in this story isn't the tattoo, but that Juan has a job at a reputable studio that apparently supports this kind of mediocrity. If you're thinking of going here to get tattooed send me a message, I'll recommend some much better and more appropriate options...hell I'd wager the ink coming out of Bexar County Correctional are better than the service I received. I'm sure there are great artists here, it's a popular stop with I know many loyal customers. Just don't stop to see Juan, not worth it. I heard Norm the owner was a person of repute in that community. It's apparent from reading the reviews, Gil, Moses, Eddie, Paige are all respected artists...funny I read no reviews for Juan.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience at Wicked Ways. Was contacted my the owner for a consultation for a tattoo. He listened to what I wanted, was transparent on what worked and would wouldn’t, and explained the whole process well. The tattoo came out better than I imagined. Pricing was also very reasonable. I will definitely be back for more artwork from this shop!

Fantastic experience: Jeremy at Wicked Ways Tattoos is awesome! I got a tattoo from him a year ago and knew I wanted him to do future tattoos for me too. Yesterday he patiently helped me design exactly what I wanted (he’s an amazing artist) and was very fun to talk to throughout the session. Unlike other artists, Jeremy was very gentle and the tattoo didn’t hurt much at all even though it was on my back. (I feel like some artists go harder than they need to which results in pain and scarring). I love the general atmosphere of Wicked Ways too, it is unique to all other tattoos shops. Everything was clean and orderly and I know I will be getting more tattoos from Jeremy specifically in the future!

Fantastic experience: jeremy is my guy to go too. he’s done a few tattoos on me now and he never seems to let me down. i always show up with my crazy ideas and he always know exactly what i mean. this is different my favorite tattoo i have so far and shout out to jeremy doing his thing on it.

Fantastic experience: Came in at 8pm on a Friday and was able to get a walk-in. Super clean and cozy shop with great vibes. Me and my sister got matching tattoos by Jeremy and they turned out great !! It’s a simple design, but the line work is very neat and the tattoo has healed perfectly so far. Fantastic experience: My artist was A. One. He was awesome. He was down to earth and easy to chat with while he did my tattoo. I love my new tattoo. Aftercare instructions were clear. After moving to the area I had yet to find a new shop and artist. I've found my new tattoo home. A.One is definitely worth checking out for your next ink. Drove almost an hour for this tattoo and would do it again for future tattoos.

Fantastic experience: Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. We initially went in for piercings but were told they don’t do offer that service at this location. I then asked if they take walk-ins for tattoos. They hooked me up with artist A.One on a simple lyric piece on my arm. He was attentive to my needs, and kept me distracted with good conversation.

Fantastic experience: My tattoo artist was Nyah and they did two pieces, one on my outside lateral forearm and one on my inside forearm. They did a good job on the artwork as well as communicating placement, ideal colors, and design ideas well before I made the final tattoo date so I had time to think everything over. They did a good job of making sure the tattoo conformed with my body and looks good as it ages. Overall was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Kara was absolutely the best piercer. She did bilateral lobes and a diathe. She has the best knowledge on what style and size to get because (i didnt know) some sizes are better for healing. She gave me a ton of options for my next piercing because obviously going back!
