Fantastic experience: James and his staff are exceptional! I was visiting my daughter on Winter holiday from cold and snowy NY and decided to pull the trigger on a bucket list item and was looking for the right shop to pull it off. I did some research and came across Twisted Tattoo. When I read about James's story and checked out his artwork, I knew this shop was for me and was praying he could get me in for an appointment. His business was clean, well maintained and an overall relaxing/chill spa environment. Staff were warm and welcoming. The artwork and creative process was amazing and exceeded my expectations. With skill and grace, James brought my vision to life in a very emotional and personal way and it's something we are both proud of. I highly recommend this business for anyone looking for ink or piercing. James's work is beyond compare. He even personally checked up on me to make sure I was healing or if I had any questions or concerns. For James and his staff I say this- "In the quiet of night and solitary in our thoughts, it is then we are able to do our best creative work. Rock on James and Twisted Tattoo! It will be a year until my next return and am looking forward to visting you all again." Note: For personal reasons and to prevent copycats, I have decided not to provide a photo of my artwork for this review. But trust me, it is epic!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent tattoo experience with Javi! He was kind, welcoming, and extremely talented. He created a beautiful colorful marshmallow Peep tattoo for me and it turned out perfect. The entire shop is impressive with talented artists and great equipment. I will definitely be returning for more work!

Stencils and quotes were sent to me while I stepped out for lunch. This business was family friendly, and very clean. I initially requested one artist, Kristen, who was booked out so she recommended another artist on staff, Angel and she could not have made a better suggestion! He was super easy to work with, accommodated my design tweaks with grace and kindness, and was highly professional during my appointment. And the final result was exactly what I wanted! Highly recommend coming this shop for anyone looking for a tattoo!

Fantastic experience: I came into Twisted Tattoo off of 410 a few weeks ago to see if Mya was available to poke my face with a new jewel. One of the cool things about Twisted Tattoo is that they do welcome walk-ins, and that day, that’s exactly what I did. Filled out some paperwork and was in the booth in less than 10 minutes! This wasn’t my first time getting pierced at Twisted Tattoo by Mya, so I already knew what I was in for. Mya is hands down the best piercing artist in San Antonio. Her skills are top notch, very knowledgeable and quick. I always feel comfortable and no pain when Mya is doing her thing. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Fantastic experience: Love this tattoo shop!! I have been a recurring customer since late 2022 when I went to Lydia for a memorial blue jay piece and it came out beautifully! I have gotten work done since then my Kristen, Esmee, one gentleman I vannot remember the name of (sorry!), and recently Javi hooked me up with this amazing fine line ‘divine feminine’ which I love!! I have another appointment set up this Friday the 13th to get my first color tattoo with Jenna!

Fantastic experience: Came in with my Fiance as a Walk-In to get matching tattoos for our dog that’s passed on. Our artist Javi was awesome! Not only did he work with us on placement and size, but the tattoos came out great!! Savanah was so nice and helpful getting us a quote, and she also gave us plenty of options for choosing a font. More than pleased with our visit and will be back!! (Very reasonably priced!)

Negative experience: Found out this place uses *generative Ai* for marketing. Highly doubt they aren’t using it for tattoo designs due to poor time management. Use to be a customer but I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Raul worked diligently and quickly on my thigh piece. His line work is rather impressive! I had smaller details in the tattoo and he successfully got in every nook and cranny. He’s not heavy handed. He remains focused but also engages in small talk. Looking around at his other work in the studio, I’m more than satisfied with him being the one who did my tattoo. The facility is clean, staff are friendly and welcoming, and overall I had a great experience! Pricing is reasonable for what I got- especially for the size and detail. In fact it was a bit less than what I price gauged even with the deposit! If you’re looking to get a tattoo in San Antonio look no further. Twisted Tattoo is the place to go!

The two receptionists were pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. They seemed to enjoy their jobs and their attitudes were very positive and helpful. Henry, our tattoo artist, was fantastic! He helped to guide us through our chosen designs, created what we asked for, and made us both very comfortable with his conversation and nearly 20 years of experience. We were very impressed with his talent, experience, and love for his job. He helped me create a very positive experience for my daughter’s first tattoo as her 18th birthday present. Thank you Henry! We are so happy that we stopped by Twisted Tattoo and will definitely call on Henry again when we need another. Overall great experience and to top it off, very reasonably priced. We were also given a brief tour of the establishment for which we were grateful!

Fantastic experience: Definitely a different tattoo parlor than anything I've ever been to. Huge many artist and services including tattoo removal and piercings, or supplies and more. Staff are friendly and helpful. Often times sales and various discounts can be received. My main experience was with Gabby who worked fast and did an absolutely amazing job on my work and a friend's art work. They even check on your healing process and ask for pix to ensure youre taking care of your new treasure. Its truly a fantastic place and worth every penny. The quote I was offered actually was right around the exact same prices as many other artists I spoke with over the years about my design. I highly recommend stopping by if youre considering getting some ink or piercings

I found the pricing to be very fair and the people super nice. I set up piercing appointments as well. They were so kind and helpful. I talked to 3 different people and everyone was great. Fantastic experience: Daniel (also goes by Jordan) was amazing! Professional, respectful, funny, personable, and PATIENT. My sisters and I went in to get matching heart tattoos. He listened to our specs, reviewed a sample picture, and mocked up multiple options for us. He was so accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and happy with the placement, sizing, we were all able to be in the room together, etc. Although he specializes in more realistic, complex tats we were grateful with the attention to detail he provided for us. Would highly recommend and plan to return to Daniel!!

Negative experience: This place is a joke. Went in to discuss getting some custom work done and they just pulled two pics from the Internet to try and sell me. Apparently they don't have tattoo artist. They just have kids who can run a tat machine. Maybe they should stop trying to be tic tok famous and actually try to impress their customers.

Negative experience: Had a sudden death in the family and requested as a one time courtesy to return my initial deposit for my first laser tattoo removal appointment and was told it was not possible. Keep in mind I contacted them this past Monday and the appointment is not until this Saturday. I tried to make arrangements to make the appointment but I haven't been successful, so I canceled the appointment with them today and am out the deposit money. I am adding the message I sent below as well since the owner wants to say I threatened them. This was after I asked for my deposit back due to the circumstances. I am not a malicious person, and I gave advanced notice and was not shown any lenience. And this is not to be combative whatsoever, simply as transparency to future customers that they will not refund your deposit under any circumstances even sudden unexpected ones. I wish the business continued success. "Hello, I'd like to cancel my appointment for Saturday. I will leave a prompt review as well since I gave advanced notice and you guys want to decide to keep my money."
