Positive experience: I Went here for my nose piercing a while ago and now I went back to get my cartilage Pierced! It’s always a chill and laid back atmosphere. I do wish I had more info on follow ups or going back for check ins on the piercing but other than that I enjoy it :)

Fantastic experience: my piercer was very patient with me because there were a few instances where i had panicked and needed a minute. she was gentle and made sure both of my piercing placements were too my liking. i even asked her to replace my nose jewelry i’ve had for almost 3 years and she did not hesitate. 10/10 would try again!!! m p.s. it took everything in me to not go get more piercings in my ears while i was in the area!

Fantastic experience: Slim was amazing!! I brought my 17 yr old and myself in for an eyebrow piercing and a tongue piercing. It was my daughter’s first ever. Slim made sure we were both comfortable and was very detailed about our piercing placements and they turned out perfectly!! My daughter felt no pain and I didn’t even blink and it was over!! We had a mother daughter moment that slim helped create and we have nothing but amazing things to say about Slim!! We will definitely be back to get more done with SLIM ONLY!!

Negative experience: The piercing specialist was very professional, practiced hygienically and clearly knew what she was doing; she gets 5 stars. The business itself gets 2 stars as we also came in for tattoos but, on a Saturday night in the mall, there was no artist present.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here since i was 16. I’m 21 now and trust NO ONE but black cloud to do all my piercings. They’ve always been fast yet efficient everytime I’ve been, and their piercings placement is top tier. From septum’s, to anti- eyebrow, eyebrow, Even regular nose piercings. I’ve NEVER been disappointed. I can’t even imagine going to anyone else to do piercing work!

Negative experience: Got pierced. Me and my boyfriend . Both of us were handled by “Frankie” and she was absolutely fantastic, however. After the initial swelling went down, We both noticed a major issue. One of his nostrils was pierced crooked, and my labret is pierced askew as well. Unfortunately, his nostril piercing had to come out due to it being so messed up. Frankie was a dear and so polite, but we are both disappointed! 2 out of 3 pieces being crooked is not okay.

Fantastic experience: Second time here and brought a friend! We noted that it’s about $15 more expensive than most shops for everything, but also agreed it’s a convenience tax heh. I think that could be worked on, though. But our piercing specialist handled my friend’s helix and my industrial piercing with aplomb! “I got pierced at the mall” hits different when it’s at Black Cloud.

She was very helpful on providing instructions for the cleaning and healing. If I ever got another piercing I would totally come back here and ask for her!

Fantastic experience: The young lady that did my piercing did an excellent job, with minimal bleeding. And gave me instructions on how to clean my piercing. I had a different young lady that did tattoos for me, my brother and my daughter. (We got my mom’s date of birth in Roman Numerals ) in remembrance of her.) She was very professional and did each of our tattoos in the designated place that we wanted them. She took her time on each one and we were all very pleased with her work.

Negative experience: I am not sure how they got amazing reviews. Contacted Black Cloud Cumberland through their online site for a tragus and ear piercing. Was contacted that same day that they except walk-in clients. I informed them that I would be there the next day. Well today is the next day and they are not opened. Their shop hours are 11:00 am - 8 pm. I arrived at 11 am and the gate was still down. I immediately messaged the person that helped me the day before and they could not get a hold of the store manager. They were very communicative and keep trying to reach out to the manager. They said the manager never answered. I eventually just left. It was noon and the shop still had not opened. I won’t be going back. This was my sign to steer away from this location. I saw other Google reviews saying the same thing; however, I still took a chance. I noticed that a lot of these shops do poor service based on the demographics. Sad but true. I won’t be doing business with them.

Fantastic experience: I’ll for sure be back! Walked in with a simple design and walked out less than an hour later super happy! Great experience, and Spider was wonderful!

Negative experience: I can't ever get anything done at this location. I see all the highly praised reviews but I don't see how they have any. I'm currently here and they are still closed but it clearly says on here that they open at 11. Change your time so ppl don't waste their time. Or at least answer the phone when people call the listed number.

Negative experience: Don't go on Saturday if you're looking for piercings. The piercer might have just had a bad day. No one said anything to us for about 10 minutes, and then they barely acknowledged us. It felt like they didn't care about doing any work. It was a waste of time. That being said, if you do want a piercing, check out Lova's. Their staff is friendly and super nice, especially for ear piercings!

Fantastic experience: We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. Our tattoo artist was a perfectionist and we had full confidence in him. He explained everything and we had a delightful conversation while he worked on both of our tattoos. Midway through the process, my wife decided she wanted a piercing as well and they fit her in with no waiting. Definitely recommend this shop and especially Duvan, the tattoo artist.

Negative experience: This location opened over 1 hour and 30 minutes late.. I ended up leaving and killing time.. called and was told their open and accepting walkins only to be met with a letter at the desk saying their on lunch for over 1 hour not even 2 hours after they opened.. after I drove and wasted my time.. very corny to be in the mall!

Fantastic experience: The girl that pierced my Tragus did such a good job. She was personable, kind, quick, and very clean. I will recommend this shop to anyone wanting a piercing of any kind. Also I was a walk in and she was the only person in the shop on Memorial Day afternoon she was efficient and juggled phone calls other walk ins, and clients with grace. 10/10

Fantastic experience: This honestly is the best place to get your tattoos and piercings, I only go to Black Cloud at Cumberland mall for all my piercings and tattoos. The staff are VERY PROFESSIONAL && real cool that makes you feel comfortable. Joy K did all my piercings and I just got my nose pierced yesterday and it looks amazing. She does all my piercings in a way with little to no discomfort and they heal REALLY REALLY FAST with that pink cleaning solution they sell. Hands down ! BEST PLACE FOR PIERCINGS ♥️♥️

Negative experience: So I came in here as a walk in to get a piercing due to all the good reviews. There was a wait as expected. So I went to use the bathroom and it was disgusting. Smelt of urine, toilet paper empty, soap dispenser was broken. Everything is dusty and sinks are gross. Did not feel comfortable going forward after seeing that. I have been to many tattoo and piercing places and never have I seen one so dirty.

Fantastic experience: Passed by this shop as my friend and I had time to spend before the stadium tour at Truist park last month. It was my last new state visited during my yearly monthlong winter vacation in Europe and America and of course I needed to get a new tattoo. The shop was open slightly later past its posted opening hours and there was no tattooist until past noon when I stopped by and the receptionist had told me. I mentioned that it was my last full day here and I needed to get something done and ring my buddy who had a working American phone number immediately when an artist came in and the receptionist surely did while I went to have lunch. The artist was Duvan a gentleman from Colombia who didn’t speak much English but I could communicate well enough with my basic level of Spanish telling him exactly what I wanted and he did not overcharge. He was professional and took his time to get my tattoo done up properly and wiped down the surfaces with cleaning solution and alcohol spray before and after tattooing and did a fantastic job with my new piece. Had no issues at all with the healing despite a heavy last 6 days of traveling with 4 flights and crossing states and 2 continents. I also replaced a stud on my ear which fell out and the shop sold 1.2mm sized ones as my ear holes are all pierced by needles not a gun. It was slightly expensive but fine. Main thing is the tattoo quality is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend Duvan (as posted in the photo with me) or this shop.

Negative experience: I went in to get a piercing for my rook, was given the wrong size(16g). I told her this the wrong this doesn't feel right. She insured me that "it's just debris in your ear that made it feel snug before" of course I got second opinion after that, low and behold I had the wrong size in my ear,what I was given wasn't a 16g it was 18g...

Negative experience: I wouldn’t trust the female with the dread locs to do my peircings . Her attitude/energy was off when I walked in . She pierced my ear twice and irritated it . Which resulted in me not being able to get a piercing at all . She also looked like she had been smoking weed .

Negative experience: The first time I came here for a nose piercing I had a wonderful experience. The piercer was so nice and the whole process was quick and clean. However, I came in today with a friend to get a walk in tattoo together. We both wanted 3-4in rectangles, hers with stars scattered inside and mine with two paw prints and the bottom part of the rectangle being leaves instead of a line. No shading, no color. We didn’t have a picture of the exact tattoo we wanted, but we had several reference photos, and these were very basic tattoos. The first weird thing was that our artist didn’t come out to talk to us; we talked to the lady at the front desk who kept going back to talk to him. We found this weird but didn’t say anything. She asked us for reference photos, and we sent them. The second weird thing was that I had several different leaves pictures in the same style, and I said I liked this general style as long as it fits with the rectangle/design, but she insisted I pick one of them to use. It took almost 45 minutes for our artists to draw these designs - which took a lot longer than expected - and yet when he showed us the pictures it was copy / paste from the reference photos (like not even traced - but snipped / cut into the design) in a really sloppy and uncohesive way. At this point we also deduced that the reason our artist hadn’t talked to us was because he didn’t speak English and needed a translator - which is perfectly fine but was not communicated to us at all at any point. We also deduced he was a new artist which again was not communicated to us at all at any point. I communicated that I didn’t like the size of the leaves compared to the size of everything else (as he had just shrunk down the reference picture instead of drawing the leaves or anything) and my friend said she wanted a different star layout. Her stars were done in several different and uncohesive styles (for example, some were filled in and black, and others just circles, and they didn’t even match the style of the reference photo she had sent). He went back to redo the drawings, but then a few minutes later brought us back and had already printed the stencils off. While he had resized the leaves on mine, he had made no changes to my friend’s, and so she started trying to state again that she wanted the stars more in the same style and less cluttered / uncohesive. The translator got annoyed and snappy with her, and started arguing with her about how the artist had copied the reference photo exactly, at which point my friend showed the reference photo and that they were in fact very different. It had been over an hour at this point and neither of us were remotely comfortable with our designs or with the attitude of the artist and translator so we made an excuse to leave. They were very rude to us throughout the whole interaction and seemed extremely annoyed that we had asked for any changes. There was no one else in the store waiting for a tattoo or something that would make sense for why they were annoyed with us asking for changes. To be clear, I have a full sleeve tattoo and countless other smaller ones and I’ve never encountered an artist or shop this unprofessional and uncommunicative. I also truly do not understand why it took 45 minutes to copy / paste designs, nor do I understand the rudeness when we didn’t like the badly copy / pasted designs (and this was for a $100 minimum tattoo!). It’s very disappointing considering my previous good experience, but I will not be back.

Negative experience: I will say, I was a walk in today. I gave him an image of the tattoo I wanted, it was a computer loading circle with faded increments. He seemingly winged it every step of the way. Line work is crooked all around and I know I didn't move. The grey he used has obvious blue tones in person. One bar is two colors. If you can't do what's asked of you, don't do it because this is on my body now and I have to go to another shop to get it touched up as best as they can.

Negative experience: Went to have my forward helix ring replaced. The girl replacing it didn’t seem to know what she was doing. She kept saying she couldn’t see it and ended up pulling a needle out. She kept trying to stick the needle through the open hole and missed a few times and stabbed the inside of my ear. When I flinched she said “does this hurt or something because you keep moving”. Overall experience was not very good. My ear is now swollen from how rough she was.

Fantastic experience: I just got my first tattoo at Black Cloud this past week, and I couldn’t be happier with my results or experience! I’ve never gotten a tattoo and was very new to the whole tattoo shop experience, so I didn’t have much to go off of when it came to choosing a place. I found Black Cloud because of their stellar Google reviews, and I can see why they have achieved such high ratings from their customers! The shop was very clean, the staff were professional and nice, and the experience getting the actual tattoos was great! It’s healing nicely and I’ve gotten compliments from others about the quality, so I’m happy and would definitely recommend! If I get another tattoo in the future, I’ll definitely stop by Black Cloud first!
