Negative experience: TL;DR: Poor communication, last-minute AI-style designs that don’t follow brief, and charged $900 despite clear brief and multiple follow-ups. Wouldn’t recommend for custom or meaningful work. I wanted a meaningful memorial tattoo for my mum and sister (my childhood home floating on poppies). I put together a detailed document including images and descriptions of the style I wanted with reference pictures (Disney/cartoon-style house, realistic poppies, etc.). When I first spoke to Jarrod, he said the concept suited his style, was doable, and that he’d share the design well in advance so we could tweak it if needed. I came back a couple of weeks later for a proper design chat and booked a full day a few months in advance and ½ day a month after that. We again confirmed the design elements and agreed I’d see the artwork early enough to make changes. During this time, he had a 20% extra deal so I paid for the $1600 for the 1.5 days upfront. Two weeks before the appointment, I called to check in, and Jarrod said he’d design it early the following week (week of the appointment). That didn’t happen. I only received the first design Thursday morning the day before the appointment and it was nothing like what we had discussed. It was a generic AI image: a realistic house (not the cartoonish style I'd asked for), incorrect number of flowers, and a background we had agreed to leave out. We met Friday and discussed the changes. I approved the poppies, but the house still didn’t match the style I’d clearly described. Jarrod agreed to revise the design and rebooked me for the following Sunday. I sent additional example images on Monday for the style of the house. I then called on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with no response. On Saturday, I finally got through to the receptionist, and overheard Jarrod and it was clear he hadn’t started on the redesign. I received a second AI image shortly after, with minimal changes and still not in the style discussed. Finally, on Sunday just 30 minutes before the appointment I received another design. It still didn’t reflect what we’d agreed on, and was sent far too late to make any meaningful changes. I decided to cancel. All the designs I received appeared to be AI-generated, not custom work, and did not reflect the clear concept and examples I had provided. I was refunded part of my payment, but charged $900 for what was essentially poor communication and design work that didn’t meet the brief.

Fantastic experience: Its a very chill and welcoming space, loved every second of being in there, definitely recommend for people wanting to get more tattoos or even there first tattoos and if you love dragon ball z Ouroboros Tattoo studio is the place to go. But yeah awesome work and awesome space.
