Fantastic experience: I messaged Sylus with an idea that I had in mind, as I was not really sure. I gave him a couple of key aspects that I wanted in the tattoo. We had a consultation and discussed what I was looking for and how this could be designed. When I came back to the studio to get the tattoo and Sylus showed me the designed, I was so surprised by how he managed to get all the different aspects in one design and make it flow so well. It was better than I thought it would be. He made me feel comfortable throughout. I love my new tattoo and have received so many compliments on it. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I contacted Syluss through wolf ink where he is currently based, the process was easy and the team at wolf ink were really nice and professional. I wanted to get a cross with wings to commemorate my grandmother who has just recently passed. I am not going to include my tattoo as it's freshly done and needs time to settle and heal, However it was my first long session in maybe ten years and I can't appreciate Syluss and his work enough. Absolute pleasure talking with him in regards to getting a design worked out beforehand, and during the 6.5hr tattoo he made the experience as comfortable as possible and took plenty of breaks to allow me to stay comfortable and himself as well, and it was just a great atmosphere and he was a pleasure to talk too, even when I probably talked too much. Honestly if you've seen his artwork already you know the calibre of tattoos and tattooist that he is but yeah. Many thanks to Syluss and to the team at wolf ink, hopefully see you again soon!

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo with Syluss at Wolf Ink Studios in Exeter and it was a great experience throughout. He took the time to consult with me about my design and placement ideas via email, and was able to give advice about the risks of tattooing over/near stretch marks. Even though my tattoo is tiny compared to some of the other impressive pieces he does, he was very patient and reassuring. On the day, the studio was clean and comfortable, and his needle was a lot less painful than I expected. He did an amazing job on a delicate spot of skin and I couldn't have asked for a better first tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Syluss enough. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He gave me a blanket to put over me as I was cold and also made me a lovely cup of tea. Talked me through everything he was doing and even though it was a long sit he made the day go quite fast as he made sure he tried to make conversation and keep me involved in other conversations.

I also appreciate their studio bearing with me whilst I finalised my decision, I think I contacted a number of their artists, all with differing ideas, before I took a bit more time to chill and actually make a final decision which is when I then contacted Syluss. My idea was not exactly a straightforward tattoo design, as the image I provided as reference art was of an ink painting. My first contact with Syluss, not only did I recieve professional and friendly communication, but he seemed interested in my idea which helped to enhance my trust and confidence. He also seemed dedicated to achieving the look I wanted and clearly gave time and consideration to ensure I would get the result I had been looking for. I enjoyed my time in the studio, generally i find apppointments awkward and anxiety inducing but I felt comfortable and at ease at Wolf Ink Studios. The staff are all friendly, chatting and joking, making for a really nice atmosphere. Beautifully decorated too! Lots of interesting stuff to look at. Due to the design of my tattoo, Syluss decided to do it in two stages to ensure the different tones came out as intended. I could tell he took care with the detail and really gave time and consideration, when I do not necessarily think I would have recieved that same attention from any artist. I also recieved great aftercare support and questions answered whenever I had them. I have been for my last touch up appt and am so happy and impressed with the final result! Fantastic experience: I came in for the Halloween flash designs and got Adam and Barbara from beetle juice , I couldn’t have expected them to come out any better in all honesty. From the start I was quite nervous and expressed this to sylus and he was absolutely amazing with putting me at ease and he was very gently too during the tattoo , the after care I received was complete different to what I was used to and can say I wouldn’t go back to regular clingfilm and sticky tape. The studio provide a protective seal straight after the tattoo is finished and one for you to apply yourself. All in all very happy and am looking to book back in very soon .

Fantastic experience: When looking for any service, I go out of my way to find people that are the best in the business, yet remain down to earth. I like to feel comfortable, have my ideas listened to and talk real life. The whole studio is truly a chill vibe and Syluss is doing an amazing job, one Polaroid and a time. Side note: Leonardo DiCaprio gets put on the tv to keep you distracted what more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience: I’d been looking for the right tattooist for some years and thankfully I found Syluss. I had a full thickness skin graft on my forearm, that didn’t heal well and was very noticeable. It made me feel uncomfortable showing my arm and was also a constant reminder of what I had been through. From the very first interaction with Syluss via email, he was kind, considerate and understanding and when I met him for my consultation, things just got better and better after that. He is so thoughtful and it’s clear that he wants only the best for his clients. All I needed to do was mention the idea I had to cover up the scarring and Syluss designed an amazing sea scene, that I’m so chuffed with and keep getting great comments about. The colours are amazing, and you wouldn’t know there was ever a scar there before. As the skin was so damaged, Syluss took his time and was so patient, building up the tattoo gradually over a few sessions. He was so considerate of making sure I wasn’t in discomfort and that I was getting the tattoo that I wanted. Syluss is an exceptional tattooist, who is constantly perfecting his art and makes sure he has all the latest tattoo equipment. The tattoo gun he uses is so gentle and quiet compared to the usual tattoo guns. I would have no hesitation in recommending Syluss as a tattooist and a great guy to spend time chatting with. I can’t wait for the summertime and feeling comfortable to wear t-shirts again. Thank you Syluss, that I no longer have to wake up every day and see the scarring I used to see on my arm and instead see an amazing tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I was confident that I would have a good experience from the first consultation. The shop has a laid back atmosphere. My first tattoo was around 9 months ago, it healed beautifully, and the aftercare advice is spot on. With my most recent design, I mentioned a couple of things I wanted in there and left the design to Syluss .... best decision ever! He has an excellent eye for what will work, the lines are fine, and the shading is exquisite. So much so, that I have another booked.

Fantastic experience: I went to Syluss looking for someone who could help create a unique and meaningful tattoo in memory of my nana. I gave him references and photos and we talked about how much she meant to me and from what he produced when I came in, I could have not asked for anything more. I was over the moon. Not only was it everything I wanted but he added additional fine details to the piece and made an incredible background to bring my beautiful tattoo to life. He was able to do the most incredible portrait of my nana in such small detail, I am incredibly thankful and blown away by the tattoo every time I look down. Fantastic experience: I wanted a memorial tattoo to my late wife, I gave Syluss a rough idea of what I wanted and was so pleased with what he came up with, exactly what I wanted. Fantastic experience: I'm Jeany, this was my first ever tattoo (nervous pensioner alert!) so selecting someone trustworthy was essential, and Syluss was the best person I could ever have hoped to meet. His integrity, kind soul, genuine interest in all people, is in awesome combination with the most incredible artistic talent. Just look no further, cos he's the masterclass. My tatt is 3 days old, has been so well behaved since leaving the chair, I can't believe it's real, and not the template! The skin area is perfectly healthy (great aftercare pack) and of course the etching itself is a triumph. Syluss shows the industry how it's done. Simply the best.

Fantastic experience: I had a blue dolphin ... yes! Just like that one! On the back of my left shoulder. Great when I was 17 in 1985 but dated & unsightly in your 50’s & terribly ageing. I considered having laser treatment to remove it until I saw an amazing tattoo on a colleague’s daughter, my colleague also revealed two beautiful pieces on her thighs, they were all portraits of people I recognised immediately & there it was... That was the moment I got details of Syluss & we started exchanging emails & ideas. He was very confident that he could do a cover up & between us we came up with the perfect image, it totally concealed the dolphin & it’s an absolute masterpiece it really is. I’m so so pleased with it. It’s a portrait of Marilyn Monroe, it’s not just Marilyn Monroe it’s a fantastic piece of art work that I am very proud of & cannot wait to show it off at every opportunity! Oh... & the little black strappy dress I couldn’t bring myself to wear... Well it’s in the dry cleaners again! It’s perfect, Syluss was very clear about aftercare & I followed his instructions rigidly. I now have something amazing that has healed & settled beautifully, no colour loss & no sign of the blue dolphin! Thanks Syluss You’re a legend

I have so far had 3 full day sitting with him and his attention to detail is brilliant. 2 years a go I went in with a vague idea of a sleeve for my wife and 2 little girls. Syluss looked at my idea and pointed out that I should go for something unique. Not something that everyone was having. In the end Syluss asked me about my wife, my girls and my faith. He came up with the idea of using the cathedral window from the duomo in Milan where my wife and I went on honeymoon on my shoulder, then having 2 doves breaking across it for my eldest daughter and the roses underneath for my youngest daughter.all of this working down my arm. The artwork is stunning. We will keep adding more as we’ll go and I would not go anywhere else. The work is amazing but Syluss has made it so personal I don’t think I could trust anyone else with it! Fantastic experience: I first met Syluss earlier this year when I was looking for my first ever tattoo. I had an idea of what I wanted but not how it would look. I gave him an explanation of what I was looking for which in all fairness was extremely vague. He told me to go away and email him some imagery for him to work off, which I did. He replied with a very blunt email telling me that I hadn’t exactly narrowed it down for him, which was very true. I hadn’t. Every image was completely different in style and from different influences. I was, in all probability, a bit of a nuisance customer. What I found extremely useful though was sitting down with him and hashing out ideas. I wanted a guardian angel in a mountain scene on my upper arm which will eventually develop into a full sleeve. This is based off of something extremely deep and personal to me. He had a book in which was a collection of lithographs. This was just the style I was looking for and he knew it. What he then came up with was remarkable. He was sensitive to my needs and background and as a result what he delivered was first class. It encapsulated everything I wanted and as a client, that is all you can ask for of an artist. What I will also say is this, the day I went in there, I arrived as a client, I was quickly made to feel welcome and at ease and felt I left having made a new friend. I’m summary, Syluss is a top bloke, fantastic artist and consummate professional. I have no hesitation in recommending him and can’t wait for my next sitting.

Fantastic experience: What can I say about Syluss...just an incredible artist and a top bloke! Professional, meticulous and super talented. Syluss is a true artist who creates unique pieces whilst making you feel comfortable at all times. The likeness is incredible and ensured it also had a unique twist.
