Fantastic experience: Got my wrist tattoo done here and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was really welcoming and professional. The artist took the time to go through my design properly, made sure I was comfortable, and gave helpful advice to make sure it looked perfect on my wrist. The attention to detail was amazing, and you can tell they genuinely care about their work. Everything was super clean and hygienic, which put me at ease straight away. The tattoo itself turned out even better than I imagined — really clean lines and exactly what I wanted. Healing has been great so far thanks to the aftercare advice they gave me. Overall, such a positive experience and I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about getting a tattoo!

I popped back in a few weeks later to check that there were no areas that needed topping up, Raphael was more than happy to look and confirm that everything was good. Fantastic experience: I cannot begin to describe how incredible Jess was when handling my piercing. She was kind and welcoming and made the experience as relaxing as possible. She walked me through every step of the way and kept me at ease. I did however pass out but god bless she caught me and took great care to make sure I was feeling better. I’ll make sure to eat more next time but at least I know I’m in good hands with her. If you ever need a piercing this is your place to go.

Fantastic experience: I've visited Frontier Tattoos twice now, all the way from Australia. Since I have family in Cardiff, I took the opportunity to get some ink while visiting. The staff and tattooists are incredibly friendly and professional—and they even remembered me from my visit the year before! That kind of customer recognition is a fantastic sign of great service. If you're looking for a lasting memory, I highly recommend checking them out first. You won't be disappointed! So good, I'll be back again on my next trip without hesitation

Fantastic experience: Great clean place with super helpful and friendly staff. Recently attended to have some jewellery removed from a stubborn, old piercing. I was super nervous but Jess was really patient with me and made me feel really relaxed. She was super quick and it was absolutely painless and over so quickly. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Have gone a couple times for Tuesday morning walk ins, everyone who works there from front of house to the artists are so welcoming and friendly, amazing at what they do and such warming and easy people. Fantastic experience: A couple of weeks ago I had a half sleeve done here by Rafael. The appointment booking and prior consultation were both a smooth process and set my mind at ease regarding any queries or doubts I had about the process. Come the day of the appointment it was amazing to see the attention to detail that was taken to make sure the tattoo came out as best as possible. Rafael was great as he took into consideration my inexperience to the sensation of getting tattoos and broke it down into stages to make the tattooing as painless as possible. The healing process was a breeze and looks amazing now! Absolutely would recommend this studio to anyone considering getting any work done and looking to come back in the future!

Fantastic experience: Got my nose pierced a year before posting this review and I cannot recommend Jess enough! Really friendly and helpful piercer that puts the customer first! She has an excellent selection of jewelry so you will always be able to find something for you.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 from start to finish. Sent an online enquiry about a tattoo I wanted, asked about walk-ins, got advice about the design. Sophie had a cancellation and they got me in. In person- the place is clean, airy and welcoming. Everyone is friendly and professional to a t. Sophie was super chill, really friendly, and it was the most relaxed I've felt having a tat done. Will be back for sure.

Negative experience: I don't think their online booking works - is it common to wait couple of months for response? Website is very good though, hopefully get booked in sometime.

Negative experience: My granddaughter made an appointment to have a small memorial tattoo amended. She sent over the pictures of what she wanted done. Attended the appointment and the Artist did not seem to understand what she required and wanted to make it a lot bigger . When she said that was not what she wanted she was told she had wasted his time - Time she paid for . Great customer service NOT.

Fantastic experience: Had a disaster with Rafael who never showed for the appointment however the man behind the desk and Chris Collins more than made up for it. Great customer service from the two and very happy with the tattoo. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend Rafael however Chris was top quality and I'd definitely go back because of him and the other man (sorry didn't get his name). Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: I did a "walk-in" on a Tuesday and Sophie did exactly what I wanted, the tattoo has been applied perfectly, heals well and looks great. I also spoke to locals about Frontier and all of them told me, they´re one of the best parlours in Wales, which I can imagine. Wish, I we had chatted a little more, but sometimes you just have to focus. :-)

Fantastic experience: Got fitted in for a difficult tattoo today, my father had an old ACDC tattoo on his arm that I wanted to replicate as best as possible. Not only did they do an incredible job but absolutely perfectly captured the faded, blotchy tattoo. Helen my tattoo artist was kind, thorough and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Exceeded my expectations way beyond what I thought was capable!! Amazing studio will 100% be back for more!

Positive experience: I went here at the beginning of August for a walk in. I managed to get an appointment later on during the same day which was excellent. The tattoo process was exceptional, very quick and efficient. However, after the tattoo was finished I was mocked at by two tattoo artists who thought it was my first tattoo, due to my leg shaking by the vibration of the needle and being nervous at the beginning. I do have other tattoos and not to their knowledge I have a condition in my legs which can cause severe pain and discomfort whilst sitting in certain positions. Getting a tattoo on my ankle was a hard positon for me to lie down for even a short period. This unfortunately made my experience not a good one despite a great start. I do still recommend this tattoo parlour and I am very happy with my tattoo. Just maybe let your artists be aware that although their behaviour may not be spiteful, it can upset people and spoil the experience. I won't be back here again due to this, but this shouldn't deter others from going as the tattoo itself and speed of getting an appointment was exceptional.

Negative experience: Tattoo was from Kieran instagram gandle girth crisis?, avoid I asked for a tattoo containing the words “L1N” as in Linda for my close auntie that passed. He mocked up a tattoo and said we’ll add it after! I checked three times and the tattoo came out wrong. No contact regarding the tattoo or refund or anything. Or to fix the problem. Frontier are lovely but avoid Kieran and rafael. Rafael lied to me stating he had Covid and he could not book me in. He then put a insta post up stating he was in Norway tattooing!

Fantastic experience: so i just had my first tattoo on my arm, it meant a lot to me and i was very grateful for the staff, the guy who did it was really nice and we had a nice chat and i think his name was jules? i’m sorry if i got that wrong lol, also adam and a guy with a beard on the front desk were lovely and i hope this feedback gets to a manager and they can be aware of what an amazing job they’ve done today, i’ll defiantly be back

Deposits required and I advise booking as these guys are always busy. Artists are top notch, with many styles to choose from. Hygiene is excellent.

Positive experience: I had my first tattoo with Zak, who specialises in the handpoke technique. He was friendly and calm and whenever I wanted to take a minute to reposition or just a short break he was more than accommodating. The parlour itself has a nice buzz, no pun intended.
