Well my Rhinoceros tattoo is even better than I hoped!- it’s a wonderful woodcut and feels part of me already. I’m so happy.

Fantastic experience: Can't recommend Laura enough. Booked in for 2 tattoos through her email link which was clear and detailed in terms of asking what I wanted. Had a quick consultation to chat through the designs and then got them done shortly after. Super chuffed with them but Laura got me back in to add a couple more details that made them even better, free of charge. Straightforward process with very fair price, and super pieces. Will defo be back.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Lynice enough! My first tattoo at 27 and had a wonderful experience and will definitely be going back for more ! For my first one it was very special to me and my reasons for getting it were because I had just lost a pet and it really helped with my grief. I was so nervous and she was so friendly and calming. I also had originally picked my tattoo from a flash sheet but wanted it with some extra details which she did perfectly and I absolutely adore it Also the atmosphere was just amazing in the parlour! Everyone having the best craic and just a really friendly vibe. Thank you so much and hopefully I’ll be back soon

Fantastic experience: I am a mature lady and this was my first ever tattoo and I could not recommend The Sailors Grave more! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The studio was very clean and hygienic. Mason who did my tattoo was great. He used a photo of my dog’s paw and scaled it down. He explained everything before and after. My little paw tattoo means so much to me! I’m so glad I made the choice to have it done.

Fantastic experience: The best tattoo studio in the country I love coming here and my artist Lynice is the nicest sweetest most talented ever! She has done 5 of my tattoos and I have never had any issues at all, I love every one of them and I’m going back in a few weeks to finish one of my back tattoos

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I went into Sailors Grave Belfast to have the name's of my grandchildren on my chest. As you can see by the photos Ross did a fantastic job. As usual. I have had numerous tattoos done in Sailors Grave.Most completed by Ross. You have only got to walk into the place to feel the great atmosphere in it. Look around it and you see there's a mixture of people in it having tattoos. Whether your young or old and want at tattoo please go inside and speak to them. They are all fantastic artists and should be appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Went to a concert the night before and ended up getting my leg signed by Hugh Cornwell under an existing tattoo I have of him so I decided to go to A Sailor's Grave as I'd seen them advertising walk-in's outside their studio before. I got booked in with Conor.

Fantastic experience: Called in today off the cuff to get a wee tattoo and the whole staff was very accommodating. Got assigned to Jake who got my tattoo to match my friends perfectly and advised me well on the placing of it, he absolutely nailed it overall and had a great manner about him. Overall a great place to get a tattoo as it's clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly and talented.

Fantastic experience: Just had my second experience at this studio, and they were both fantastic. The artists are genuine and incredibly talented. The studio itself was clean and well kept, and I gained the distinct impression that they take their work, as well as health and safety, very seriously. I’m super happy with my pieces and they are healing well. Cant wait to return in the future!

Fantastic experience: After walking past the shop a few times a week going to Uni, I finally gave into the temptation I had to get my first tattoo. I was absolutely terrified, not knowing what to expect, but everyone in A Sailors Grave were so so reassuring and able to walk me through the process, assign my rather trivial idea (a penguin holding a surfboard) to the legend Ross, and I ended up leaving with a lovely new addition to my wrist. Will 100% be back, and couldn’t recommend a place more

Fantastic experience: A great experience at A Sailor’s Grave. I arrived in Belfast and went into the studio based on its great reviews. I told them what I wanted and I was put in contact with Ollie who is the go to man for any script work. Lucky for me, he has a friend who specialises in Gaelic and he did some research for the tattoo I wanted. Ollie is a legend. Super friendly, super skilled, very great at communication and passionate about his work. It was awesome that he was the man to do this very special piece for me and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’ve had a lot of positive feedback about his quality of work from friends and family who have seen it. It’s healing very nicely almost a week later and I’ve barely had to put any cream on it. Such a smooth process and tattoo. Also very well priced. I love it.

The atmosphere from the moment you walk in is so professional and friendly (controlled chaos my artist and I called it haha). My artist, Conor, took such great detail and care with my tattoo which turned out so so beautiful!

My tattoo was complicated with fine lines and colours, and Conor did a great job at perfecting it. It even came out looking better than the picture! The Studio was also very nice, I walked in the previous day and they were very responsive in setting up an appointment and finding an appropriate tattoo artist. Definitely highly recommendable.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a walk-in tattoo and was kindly greeted and asked about what I would like within 20 minutes Fiona had a sketch and stencils made, they were very friendly and had a great wee buzz to the shop with lots of laughs, and was very happy to accommodate moving my stencil for me. Jake, who did my tattoo was excellent and took time to get the template exactly as I wanted it to cover the old tattoo I did not want anymore. The price was very reasonable compare to what tattoo parlours charge on UK Mainland. I would definitely recommend A sailor's grave tattoo shop!

Fantastic experience: Second visit here and with Ross again. Went in for an initial visit, discussed what I wanted and came up with a general plan. On the day Ross showed me his design. It was different from what I had envisaged but he nailed it. Got it done while discussing movies and the time flew by. Ended up with a great tattoo. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: From the first time I communicated with A Sailor's Grave via Instagram the customer service was fantastic. I arrived for my consultation appointment and I met Conor. He was fantastic. I wanted a tattoo on an area that was heavily scarred. I didn't hold much confidence as other tattoo artists had refused or said it would be too difficult. Conor explained the process and the possibility of longer healing etc but was confident he could do a great cover up (cover scars) tattoo. I was over the moon and was ready to book. I was so happy that I got an appointment a few days after the consultation. When I arrived I was slightly anxious as I had only ever been to a very small tattoo shop and was slightly intimidated by the number of people being tattooed. Conor noticed my anxiety and was great at reassuring me. He had prepared a fantastic design which I was really happy with. He was comfortable and happy with any minor changes I wanted to make. I wasn't feeling too well, a mix of anxiety, tiredness and not eating anything substantial. Conor got me seated and looked after me. He got me water, offered food and a cold compress as I was feeling faint. He kept talking to me and reassuring me. I started to feel better and Conor started the tattoo. He kept chatting to me and checking in to make sure I was feeling ok. He did a fantastic job and for tattooing on heavily scared skin there was minimal/no pain/uncomfortableness. He explained the aftercare and even gave tips of how to keep my tattoo clean during a run. Conor went above and beyond. He was reassuring, and really knows how to put you at ease—especially if you’re feeling anxious or self-conscious. Conor made me feel completely comfortable and confident in the process. His work is amazing, and his gentle approach makes all the difference. Couldn’t be happier with the result! I would highly recommend Conor and I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Was in a few months ago getting tattooed by Jake! Had the best experience. Made to feel relaxed for my tattoo with Jake’s sheer banter and craic, as I was nervous getting a new part of the body tattooed. Jake was the best guy, friendly and funny to talk to and is a phenomenal artist and did a great job! All of the artists are the most lovely people, walking over to check out how Jake was getting on and asking me how I was feeling. They really care! Vibes are great in the studio, decor is amazing and all of the artists are extremely talented at what they do, and very passionate about their work. Communication on email and Instagram was quick and friendly and was buzzing for my visit before the day, and buzzing when I left. Absolutely 10/10. Couldn’t recommend this place more if I could. She was super careful about the placement and she couldn't have been gentler when tattooing. Her workspace was pristinely clean and she is sweet and pleasant lass, we chatted and laughed the whole time. 10/10 experience, already planning to return to her ASAP.

Negative experience: Although the initial consultation and getting the tattoo done was easy enough, the after care is non existent. Phone calls made, emails sent and after initial replies were received they stopped, and even called into the shop regarding my issue, were I was told someone would be in touch. A week later after my visit to the shop and heard nothing. Very disappointed!
