Fantastic experience: I’ve had multiple pieces done by both the owner Collin and one of his apprentices. This shop is amazing the work and talent as well as the over all environment. It’s a welcoming and safe place. I always recommend Collins shop when friends and family are looking for a new artist. Well worth the travel to get to the shop as I am not local!

Fantastic experience: Most of (all but one) of my tattoos are done by the team here. Been getting tattooed by Collin and the team since the home studio, and before Artistic Roots was even a thing, and I've always felt comfortable and welcome. The -one- time I had a tattoo mishap from an apprentice (knew what I was getting into) Collin offered to fix it up while I was there for another appointment and I've loved it ever since. This is a great shop with a great vibe. Can't wait for my next *Edited for name spelling!!! Sorry Collin lol

Fantastic experience: Very inviting atmosphere at artistic roots. Always feel welcomed when we come to the shop. Working out of town makes it hard to book time slots, Collin practically bends over backwards to come in on his time off to help accommodate that. Between the wife and I we probably have 15-20 tattoos from Collin and love every single one. We will be back soon! Over and over again lol.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Collin. I have been tattooed by him now a few times and it is always a great experience. Not only is his work beautiful and his hand light, but he is also just an all around kind, easy to talk to and funny guy. My first tattoo by him wasn’t planned, I had gone with a friend who was getting something by an apprentice of his. We got to talking about his work, he had a cancellation call while we were there and thus started our friendship. I now have 4 tattoos by him and a 5th planned for next month.

Fantastic experience: Collin has done several of my tattoos over the years and it's always a positive experience. He is very talented and easy going. All of the artists here are kind and welcoming. Shop is clean and beautifully decorated with amazing art work. Can't wait to book again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best shop and artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of being tattooed by. I remember first going the second day they were open back in 2019 and they had/always will have the best atmosphere for a shop. I’ve been tattooed by three people who have worked there including the owner Collin and he is the absolute best. I always recommend him to everyone. I get so many compliments on the pieces he’s done! As long as artistic roots is open I will never ever go anywhere else.

Very accommodating making sure every tattoo is exactly what I envisioned and in the perfect position. Very gentle when tattooing and always checks in to see how you’re doing during the process. Great communication from the start of the process all the way to the end of the healing process. Fantastic experience: Honestly the coziest tattoo environment I've even been in. The shop was so accommodating to getting a walk-in and stayed late for us to get the tattoos we wanted. All of the artists do sick artwork. Couldn't recommend enough and will definitely be back. Thanks guys

She was quick and gentle and did an absolute stunning piece on my forearm. I can not recommend this place enough. If you're in the market for a tattoo and don't know where to go, go here. All the staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. And let's not forget that price. The price is absolutely amazing and fair. They don't overcharge like a lot of places do. I will definitely be going back for my 2nd tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience at Artistic Roots. Collin was extremely professional and his passion for his work was very evident. He took his time, checked in, allowed for breaks when needed and made sure that the sketches and placement were exactly how I wanted them. The shop itself was bright, clean and the atmosphere was very comforting. All of the artists were so friendly and made a point to welcome everyone that entered. Overall, this was the best experience I've had getting tattooed. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this tattoo shop! Such down to earth artists every single one of them! Have had the honor of having Collin tattoo my hand and booking another tattoo right away! They take the time to get the artwork to your perfection, put the stencil in the perfect spot and even draw in some (depending on the location of the tattoo) to have it work with the flow of your body!! Definitely one of my #1 shops that I will be having ink me up!!

Fantastic experience: It's difficult finding a tattoo artist you trust and respect. Collin is wonderful, he takes your ideas and brings them to life. Both my tattoos from him have turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I will definitely be getting more ink from Collin. Fantastic experience: I recently got a very difficult and very detailed Maori armband from Collin. The level of details in my tattoo were so extreme that I was very skeptical of how it'll turn out, which showed up in our stencil itself which took almost an hour. The amount of effort Collin puts into his work and the efficiency of it is just commendable. I love how it looks after healing and I am amazed he could finish this in just one seating. Definitely getting the next from Artistic roots.

I can't stop looking at my arm it's so great! The new shop is awesome, the staff is friendly and it's a clean environment. Fantastic experience: Words truly cannot express the care and passion Collin puts in to every tattoo. Today Collin spent almost 5 hours working on my arm. In my opinion this is a very difficult and detailed piece. Collin made me 100% confident that he could take on the tattoo with confidence so I got him to do it. Collin worked with me and re-worked his sketch several times to ensure my satisfaction at no extra cost. While tattooing Collin ensured I was comfortable the whole time and continuously offered me bottles of water and snacks to keep me going. We went out for a couple of smoke breaks during the tattoo whenever I wished. He is in no way cocky or ignorant which makes it very easy and comfortable to ask any questions or voice any concerns I might have. Needless to say I was very happy with his tattoo experience, shop cleanliness, and bed side manor. This is not my first tattoo so it is easy to see when a tattoo artist truly stands out. If you have any ideas about getting a tattoo done, do yourself a favour! Go to Artistic Roots is Oshawa so that you can truly have an experience worth mentioning and remembering.
