Fantastic experience: I recently had some work done to add to an already existing tattoo. Michelle was my artist and my experience with her could not have been better. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and then made my vision into a beautiful design. Her easy going personality helped make the experience an overall positive one. I will be back!

Fantastic experience: My daughter, under 10 years, had an amazing ear piercing experience at Taunton Tattoo. My daughter was nervous but the stylist doing the piercing was very kind and took the time to explain everything, made my daughter feel comfortable, included her in all decisions. All questions asked were answered. Just a great place for your piercing needs (on a side note I will be going here for a tattoo as well, as soon as I can book it).

Negative experience: Ugh, I got my nose pierced here and it was honestly a less than ideal semi traumatic experience. The lady took SO long pushing the needle through and it hurt SO bad. It never healed properly I had to take it out and now I’m to scared to go get it re-pierced somewhere else because of the experience I had. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: I was stressed out finding a place to remove a piercing that was stuck, and after a few attempts at other places, I walked in and both employees greated me with a smile, unfortunately I do not remember their names, but the woman was able to get my piercing out with no issues. Extremely grateful. It was on Tuesday 24th around 6-7pm

Negative experience: I’m disappointed with my recent experience at this tattoo/jewelry shop. I reached out less than 24 hours after purchasing a $300 item because of a sizing issue, and the shop wasn’t willing to work out a reasonable solution. It wasn’t a big problem, but the lack of flexibility made me uneasy about how they might handle anything more serious, especially when it comes to warranties. For the price I paid, I expected a bit more understanding and customer care.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to thank Laura for such an amazing job !! Laura was a referral from a friend…I was looking for someone who can help me design a tattoo to honor my husky Chief that had passed away early this year.. Laura was easy to talk , had great ideas and was very professional. I’m going to be honest and say I’m not a big fan of needles but she made this tattoo painless I still don’t know how I didn’t pass out lol The whole staff was very friendly and professional..the store itself is very clean and very inviting. Fantastic experience: Amazing shop! I decided on getting my first and then second tattoo here because of the service, cleanliness, and the artists' talent! I booked with Chris and he was incredibly attentive and patient while working on both my tattoos. He was able to capture what I was looking for even though I was struggling to describe it! Being in the shop, I was also able to observe how the other artists worked and honestly, they all seemed like phenomenal people to work with. The staff at the front are kind and welcoming and did a great job helping someone who seemed out of their element feel right at home! Great place!

Fantastic experience: I went in yesterday as the new conch flat jewelry I purchased from Nick's Studio last week was not fitted properly and the piece lost the jewels the second day. So I had to put my original earring back in and then the ball from it fell off. So I googled again for the best shop in Oshawa and Taunton came up. I was promptly greeted by Michael and Jess and both were incredibly helpful, understanding and so welcoming. I could tell it was a better professional shop when Jess did not give me the jewelry from her showcase stand, but actually took brand new closed jewelry out from her drawers and made sure to fit my earring properly. I absolutely adore the piece and it fits way better. Thank you so much and I will definitely be back!!

Fantastic experience: I visited Taunton Tattoo Company yesterday and had a phenomenal time there. Such a beautifully welcoming environment. The artist I saw was Wei and they were excellent to work with and super talented. I got the impression that only the best tattoo artists work there as I witnessed a number of them with their clients while I was being tattooed. I plan to get more tattoos in the future and they will be done at Taunton Tattoo Company. Very happy I chose this place and Wei and I highly recommend the shop and the artist.

Fantastic experience: We went for a walk-in tattoo session on Sunday for my father, husband and myself. The front desk people were kind enough to notify us about the waiting time and guided us through the process. This is our first tattoo experience and it was amazing. We were pleased with Carl, as he ensured our safety and comfort. He provided us with multiple sizes of our tattoo design that we wanted. He was very quick and engaging through out our sessions. Since it was our first time for tattoo, we didn’t feel much pain at all. Experience and quality of work matters a lot. I would definitely recommend this place as they are well experienced and staff are friendly.

My Dad recently passed and my beautiful Mom wanted to get something special for her to remember him always and carry him wherever she goes, so we booked an appointment with Rob! Negative experience: I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel this is important to share, especially for anyone booking a piercing here for the first time or sending in a minor. I booked a nose piercing appointment for my 17-year-old sister as a birthday gift. On their website, it clearly stated that the $75 price included both the piercing and jewelry. She went alone to her appointment, and since this was her first-ever piercing, she trusted the process and followed instructions. Once there, she was handed a box of jewelry to choose from all marked with prices ranging from $35 to $45. There was no explanation that one basic option was already included in the original $75. Being inexperienced and not told otherwise, she assumed the jewelry was an additional cost and paid $40 more, thinking that was required. I reached out to the shop as soon as I found out. To be fair, the manager responded and admitted there was a miscommunication which I appreciated. But the solution offered was very disappointing: first, just a 10% discount on a future purchase, which didn’t address the issue. Later, they agreed to refund the $40 only if my sister returned the decorative jewelry top in person. The problem is that the jewelry is already in her healing. The idea of going back to swap out part of the jewelry mid-healing just to return it felt invasive, unsafe, and frankly unethical. Even if it’s just the top piece, removing or handling a healing piercing isn’t something that should be encouraged just to fix a mistake that wasn’t hers to begin with. I offered other solutions, including: • A store credit • A partial refund But none of these were accepted. The entire situation was handled in a way that felt more like following rigid policy than genuinely caring about the customer’s experience especially a minor, doing something for the first time and paying for something she didn’t understand she was being upsold on. When I raised concern about my sister being only 17 and inexperienced, the manager stated that age didn’t technically matter, since the legal age in Toronto allows her to get pierced without parental permission. While I understand that from a legal perspective, the point is she’s still a minor with zero experience, and she was not properly informed during the process. A first-time, 17-year-old client deserves clear guidance not to be upsold on jewelry without realizing it. While the staff was polite, this experience left a bad impression. If you decide to go here, I highly recommend asking every detail in advance including what’s actually included in the price because clear communication is not guaranteed.

She was very friendly and gentle during the procedure and constantly assured me or asked if I was comfortable. I have also had a collar bone tattoo done by Carl, who did an amazing job. Fantastic experience: Taunton Tattoos is beyond phenomenal. Everyone is friendly and the place is spectacular. Finally posting after getting my third tat and I can't emphasize how amazing this place is. Hands down, Wei is the BEST artist on planet earth. He knows exactly what I want but isn't afraid to suggest things that truly bring my pieces to life. He only works Fridays but I will wait just to get my stuff done by him. He truly is underrated and needs to be discovered more!!! Coming back again to him 100%!! Never had any questions on hygiene or anything, never gave me any worries, instructions are easy to follow for aftercare 10000/10!

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience getting my latest tattoo done with Chris. He was very easy to work with to create something I fell in love with instantly. As an artist he was very attentive and kind. He allowed me to give feedback on the design he created based on my ideas and was very receptive to it. He let me take breaks as needed and is definitely someone I will go see in the future for more work. As well, I’ve got to mention getting my tattoo this year was a very different experience than I had for my first tattoo ten years ago at Taunton Tattoo Company (I’m unsure of who my artist was at the time). I’m not sure if it’s changed owners over the years but the experience I had this time around is something I’m very pleased with and would recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo, even if they’ve had a previous experience here that was less than ideal. It’s a clean environment with welcoming staff and I can’t wait to go back.

Positive experience: Got my very first tattoo here. Got it done by Daniella, she was so nice. She kept giving me breaks so I can used to it. She was attentive to how I was feeling and all made the experience very smooth and easy. I highly recommend her and this place for your first tattoo and just in general.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had pretty bad luck with piercings in the past, but I’ve been to Jess twice in the last two months to get a lobe re-pierced and a rook piercing. Both times were smooth, sanitary, and as painless as a piercing can be! Jess is super knowledgeable and does a great job of walking you through each step of the process. Will be coming back for a conch once my rook settles and I can’t wait!

Fantastic experience: Tragus piercing, Jess did an amazing job with walking me through the piercing process and giving me instruction for the aftercare. I was really nervous in the beginning and her explaining stuff calmed me down :) she also did not rush me and gave me time to be ready ~ The piercing itself was done really well, and quite painless to me. Will come again 10/10 would recommend as well.

Negative experience: Uneven, ones longer than the other. 10 days later a lot of the ink has come out. I have other hand tattoos, never had this happen. Artist didn't seem to give a crap about this job. Took like 20 mins and i was charged $200 (plus the $80 in gas and tolls to get there). Anything short of a full refund is a kick in the nuts. I'm gonna have to pay for removal now. FWIW, aftercare has been meticulous, as it has been with every other tattoo I've gotten over the years. EDIT: Dear owner, First of all, I work a desk job. There was no "wear and tear". I babied these things. The fact these have lost so much ink is only a part of my negative experience at your shop. Not only was your artist completely disinterested in honouring my original designs, he could barely muster enough care to even do a good job. He rushed through it, and look what it's left me with. One's longer than the other. Zoom in on the photos, you can see the needle markings clearly show a lack of care. Was a total rush job and the pictures speak for themselves. On top of that, he completely butchered my right hand. I have NEVER experienced that much pain before when getting a tattoo, and I have lots. When he got to my left hand, he was done in a matter of minutes and it barely hurt by comparison. When I commented on that, he replied "yeah I guess I kinda found my groove". Are you kidding me?! Respectfully, I have absolutely no desire to come back to your shop. There are no amount of touch ups that can fix these. It's either going to require full cover ups or removal. With the amount of pain, stress, and disappointment I've experienced from this, a full refund is the only honest and honourable thing you can do to make this right.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience getting my tattoo. The artist nailed the design, and was very patient while I fussed around with the exact placement. When making the payment afterwards with reception, the contact info that came up was not mine, and the receptionists seemed very frazzled with this and it didn't lend to the experience, as it was confusing. Leaving 5 stars for Chris, the artist :)

Negative experience: Today, I got a tragus piercing. The piercer was really nice and professional, but unfortunately, the front desk staff was quite rude. I said thank you, and she didn’t even respond. In my opinion, good customer service makes a big difference and can encourage people to return — but because of her attitude, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my friends, even though many have asked me about it.

Negative experience: got my second nose piercing here. my piercer was very kind walked me through the process, placement and made sure i was comfortable. i knew it would hurt but this pain was like something else. a week later it’s infected pus coming from the piercing, very swollen and tender. i think this is because my piercer didn’t use a long enough bar.

Negative experience: I got my first tattoo here, and I was so excited and happy with what I was getting. However, a couple of days later, when I removed the second skin, I realized that the lining was off because my body was turned during the process. Now, when I stand straight, the tattoo looks crooked. I shouldn't be feeling disappointed with my tattoo already. As a tattoo artist with so many years of experience, I feel like she should have noticed this.

Fantastic experience: Got my daith pierced here. Also did an orbital. Was super professional and clean. Made sure I fully understood the aftercare. Went to get another piercing done and they were completely honest and didn't think my anatomy was right for the piercing. No charge, no issues. 100% recommend if you want to get poked here.

Fantastic experience: I came in today for a rescheduled tattoo appointment with Carl, who was running behind schedule- I easily agreed to wait until he was done tattooing the client before me, and the front desk girl answered any questions I have and came over to where I was sitting quite often to help me and update me. She then asked if I would be comfortable being tattooed by Memi, and I'm not particularly fond of [sudden] change but I agreed and I was instantly made comfortable my Memi's cool style and her fresh presence and how funny she was. This was my second tattoo at Taunton Tattoo Co., and also my second tattoo ever. My first was done back in early 2022 by Jesse Owen, who left TTC later that year but he did an amazing job on my first tattoo as well! The tattoo session went as I imagined it would- little by little, but it ended up being like not even 20 minutes max [considering the fact that I got not even a full 20 minutes into the movie I was re-watching to pass the time. Very reminiscent of when I got like half an hour into the movie I was rewatching during my 2022 tattoo, when Jesse said that that tattoos process would've taken an hour. But anyway, TTC is the only tattooing place I've ever gone to and the only one I will ever want to go to. The staff are all so nice and so cool and so helpful, and the place is designed exactly within my style and they play kickass music as well.

Fantastic experience: Took my daughter in for ear piercing. They were very friendly and made her very comparable. Her lobes were not thick enough to do the size of the earing she wanted, and the piercer showed us what the limitations would be. We made the decision to try again when she is older. I'll take my younger daughter there when she's ready to get her ears done. There was no pressure at all for us to do anything. The shop looked clean too.

Fantastic experience: This (my conch) is my 4th piercing with Jess, and she's going to be my go to for as long as I keep adding! She is incredibly calm, competent, clean, and fast. She does a great job of making sure you're aware of exactly what's going on. I knew she'd be the perfect person to recommend to my friend and her daughter looking to get pierced together - she totally eased their fears and did a fantastic job! Fantastic experience: My friend and I visited this shop for the first time to get piercings, and although the prices are on the higher side, the quality of service and attention to cleanliness made it well worth it. The piercer was precise, taking great care with the positioning to ensure it was perfect—and it truly was. If you're considering a nose piercing, I highly recommend purchasing your jewelry from this shop, even if you don't get the piercing done here. They don’t use the typical corkscrew jewelry, which I’ve found can make healing more difficult. Overall, a fantastic experience with both the service and the products.

Positive experience: Follow up. I came today to change my jewelry, my first time with the piercer was amazing, so I came back since I’m not experienced in this and wanted to get the best advice. Unfortunately it was the opossite, my new jewelry happened to be too thick and it hurt me badly. I ended up buying one at some other place where they explained everything and it was super easy to put, it’s a shame having such a bad experience over something so small, when the most significant work was so excellently done. /Amazing!! The service is outstanding, the place is super clean, staff super professional. I did my nose piercing and it was almost painless, and now is healing amazingly good.

Positive experience: I like that this business prides itself on being a premier tattoo/piercer for the Durham region, it’s definitely needed in the community. I have done 5 body modifications here & purchased several high end pieces as well I can say that Jessica and Reid are stand outs, they are kind, and informative and will help when needed or asked for advice on best practices. I give a 3 star rating because I want this company to strive towards building a relationship with their customers, body modifications are never just a one time therefore on occasion when I receive lacklustre responses related to new appointment bookings it makes me want to seek out the service elsewhere. Fantastic experience: This studio has to be one of the best studios I have ever been to! I am a very shy and quiet person upon meeting new people and I felt very comfortable here thanks to Daylyn. She is incredibly patient and kind not to mention an unbelievably amazing artist and did an outstanding job on my tattoo. The entire process from booking to application as well as healing has to have been the best I have experienced so far and look forward to hopefully having more done here in the future. If you are looking to get a tattoo done look no further because this shop in incredible.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Taunton Tattoo. Tattoo and piercing parlors can be intimidating, but there was none of that energy here. I came in for the first time for a nose piercing, and the process was smooth, friendly, and comfortable from beginning to end. The process itself was thoroughly explained, my piercer checked in regularly throughout, and the piercing itself healed spectacularly, without issue, and is EXACTLY what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with every aspect of the process, and will absolutely be back.

Fantastic experience: The only place I’ll go for my piercings. The piercers here are so knowledgeable and won’t pierce you just to pierce you, ya know? I asked if they thought my belly button would heal (I have issues with healing piercings) and they said they wouldn’t recommend it based on my history and how my belly button is shaped - I really appreciate being told no! I got my nose done in June and had a bump that they dealt with and I came back to change my jewelry too. I’m never going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Got my Snakebites there! The head piercer is really nice, and really knows what she's doing. She takes the time to ensure placement is good, aftercare is provided, and made me feel very safe and comfortable during the whole process. I've also had a nose piercing changed there, and after having a bunch of problems with it before, they were able to help and give me proper aftercare instructions and the correct piercing bar. The entire staff there is so friendly and inclusive, I'll be getting any and all piercings there!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough positive things about this tattoo parlor and the artists I've had a chance to interact with. Both Daylyn and Stephen are absolutely AMAZING! If you're looking to get anything pop culture, cartoon, anime or mash up based they have you covered. I have one tattoo from Stephen so far and 7 or so from Day and counting. Everywhere I go I get stopped and people comment on vibrant and well done my artwork is. The vision of my mashups were all brought to life perfectly. I tell everyone who's looking to get a new tattoo to check them out. (My doggie tattoo was a fairly large cover-up piece and you cannot see what used to be there prior! ) If you want quality artwork at a reasonable price definitely visit Taunton Tattoo. The shop itself is extremely clean, bright, vibrant and has a great overall vibe.

Fantastic experience: Went here to get my third hole- ear lobe piercing. Staff greeted myself and all customers very promptly in a friendly manner. Reid took myself to the piercing room, which was all very clean and started to provide me information on the piercing process. Reid was so professional and comforting, and took any nerves I had away. I was very grateful Reid talked me through every single step and provided me with everything I would need to know for after care. A great experience, and will definitely be going back!

Positive experience: Went here for a naval piercing 2-3 years ago and 2 earlobe piercings 1-2 years ago. Prices felt affordable and the old piercer was really nice. Got 2 more ear lobe piercings earlier this year, got really expensive, struggle to get checkups because new piercer isn't in as often/ having trouble with my current piercings. New thread piercings that I syruggle to get off, no other options. Might come here for a tattoo, but if you're looking for piercings you should look elsewhere

Positive experience: UPDATE. * Even though it was an annoying issue to begin with, the staff was very professional. I got a call back right away, and booked for the same day. My son couldn’t recover the earring and the replacement was free.* My son’s earring fell a week after while he was sleeping. He didn’t mess around with them or try to change them. The artists just didn’t put them on correctly and it caused the hole to close while he was sleeping because the piercing was so fresh. Disappointing since I thought I took my son to a high quality place for his first piercing. Wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly, I originally had it done a long time ago and it was the most horrific experience I’ve had with piercings so I was a little hesitant to try again. Fantastic experience: I’ve had to go twice this year as I had lost my piercings. I had the pleasure of being helped by Reid who was very sweet and talked me through everything! I also got more piercings while I was there and I really appreciated the attention to detail that was given to ensure everything was evenly spaced. Fantastic experience: I have had issues with piercings/piercers in the past and was anxious going in, however Jess is the most friendly and caring piercer I have ever met. All the staff I interacted with were very kind and welcoming. I had a bit of a wait (which is fine I understand things happen out of our control) and Jess and Reid were very apologetic about the wait, which made me feel valued as a customer. Jess walks you through the whole process and explains what she is doing as she does it, whereas with other piercers they seem to just want to get it done and get the next customer in. I have now had two piercings done by Jess and will continue to see her again when it is time to get more.

Fantastic experience: Took my son to get his ears pierced and it was a fantastic experience. The piercer was friendly and explained every step before doing anything. They spoke directly to my son. Which any parent can tell you that even DR's will speak to the parent like the child isn't in the room and it's kinda rude/annoying beyond the age that kids can speak for themselves. Genuinely a great experience. The shop was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place for piercings. I cannot say anything about tattoos since we haven't gotten one from here. But judging by the art hung up on the walls I'd say it's safe to say that you'll probably have a good experience here for that as well.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! I'm so happy we went with Taunton Tattoo - Jessie Darling for our girls ear piercings! She was so professional and put both my girls at ease. Her room was bright and playful, the kids loved it. She showed them everything she was going to do so there were no surprises. Not one tear shed! Not one! Smiles and excitement, that's it! As a mom I could not ask for anything more! The staff were so pleasant and accommodating. Very patient. Fantastic experience: I just left Taunton Tattoo. My left high nostril fell out today and I needed a new piece. The piercing apprentice helped me— I’m sorry I didn’t get their name! High nostrils are notoriously a pain to do, change, or have done or changed. There wasn’t a matching top to what I had in my right so we decided to change out both. The right went smooth but the left was more of a pain. On top of being an already frustrating piercing, I have a tiny nose coupled with a very deviated septum. The apprentice took their time and was supremely gentle in helping me out. I’m sure they were frustrated doing it but it didn’t show. After all was said and done, I’m even happier with this new set in my nose than the original pieces that were in for seven years. I’ve been pierced countless times over the years and have experienced a lot of different piercers and apprentices in my day. Your apprentice rocks and I 10/10 would go to them again!! Thanks so much for saving my most favourite piercings today and making me love them even more :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for years for piercings and more recently for tattoos. I got my first tattoo here back in October with Stephen. It was such a wonderful experience!! Great vibes in the studio and a beautiful tattoo. Big recommend him! The reason I’m really writing the review is for the experience I had yesterday. I had an appointment booked that unfortunately ended up in a mix up as my intended artist is no longer there. They were extremely professional and kind when dealing with the mix up. Lucky enough, they had an artist there taking walk-ins so I was still able to get tattooed. When I say that I ended up with my all time favourite tattoo, it’s no exaggeration. Carl took the time to draw a whole new design for me, made sure that it was exactly what I wanted and we had a great time chatting and getting it done. Carl and Reid went above and beyond to give me the best customer service experience. So not only were they amazing to spend the time with but I have the most beautiful tattoo I could’ve ever hoped so. So if you’re thinking Taunton Tattoo, DO IT!

Fantastic experience: I had my helix pierced with Jess, she was amazing! I was really nervous and I wasn't sure if I could do it, but Jess was so calm and kind to me it helped so much. She talked to me throughout the whole process and told me when to inhale and exhale. She wasn't judgmental and didn't try to rush me either. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and is very good at it too! I was recommended to this shop by multiple people, and after being there I understand why! Before I got pierced I called and ask lots of questions, they were knowledgeable and polite. The girl at the front desk even texted me pictures of the jewelry options! Fantastic experience: 10/10! I was greeted by Stephanie who was quick to say hello & make me feel comfortable! I filled out the forms and was brought to Morgan for the actual Tattoo! She had my design and stencil all ready to go! She also made me feel super comfortable and we had great conversation while doing the tattoo! She was quick and efficient! Fantastic experience: Went and got my high nostrils pierced by Jess yesterday and she is such an amazing person! She was so sweet and honest she took the time to make sure I understood everything about the piercings and that I was 100% comfortable with everything before getting them done. She took so much care and time in making sure I was happy with them and that the placement was perfect. I heard from other piercers and people that high nostrils were a little more painful than a regular nostril but they were not painful at all and probably one of my least painful yet. She did such a great job! :) Definitely will be back to visit again when they’re healed!

Fantastic experience: Just got my chest dermal piercing done with Jessie Darling, i am the happiest ever with it!! My pain tolerance is very low, but the pain level for this piercing was a 1/10, it was quick, basically painless, comfortable, and jessie gives the best overall piercing experience. not to mention her studio is the absolute cutest. Will 100% be coming back to see her again!!!

Fantastic experience: Got a second set of lobe piercings by Jessie and shes wonderful! My first piercings occured 22 years ago when I was a child so I needed a review on the aftercare process. I of course slept on my new piercings, and fidgeted with them until one fell out and I ended up losing the backing. I returned and was embarassed to explain that I had lost my new piercings. Jessie was super understanding, and accommodating - she helped me pick out a stronger more secure set of earrings, cleaned my piercings, and recommended further aftercare instructions. Jessie was very professional and understanding of the fact that I am re-learning how to care for my new piercings. I felt very comfortable being honest about my mistakes and totally plan to return for a 3rd set once my current ones are fully healed.

Fantastic experience: Came here for piercings based on the great reviews. Did not disappoint. Jesse is amazing. She is instantly easy to be around, encouraging, uplifting, and extremely nice. From the time I was in to the time I was out was maybe 5 minutes. That is getting penned up for the piercing alignment, opening the needles, piercing, sliding in jewellery, to saying thanks bye! All the while feeling like you had a whole conversation. It might sound like a bad thing to get pierced so quickly but the placement is great and healing is going well too (finicky piercings). She mentioned she likes to pierce fast so she doesn’t have to see people in discomfort/pain and with the piercings I got, I was expecting that and it was a breeze.

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old just had her ears pierced by Jessie. Loved her approach and that she got my daughters consent before she went ahead with the piercing. The studio was very clean and Jessie took her time and nothing felt rushed. Would definitely go back to Jessie if my younger daughter wants her ears pierced one day!
