Fantastic experience: I went to get a tattoo done by Satch yesterday and he did a fantastic job! He's professional, kind, funny, gentle, listens well and gives good positive, construstive feedback and the prices are fair. I will definitely be going back to The Ink Room again when I decide to get another tattoo or piercing.

Negative experience: I had satch as an artist and he seemed like a decent artist. My problem was with the poor communication with the person that connects customers with artists and does all the scheduling. My first appointment I had to leave work early and drive almost an hour to get there and find out they didn’t tell Satch anything I had messaged about so we couldn’t do any of it. Rescheduled and came back again, this time went ok but the tattoo I had done needs a touch up. Got a touch up appointment scheduled and it was canceled due to a snowstorm. I’ve reached out multiple times since and haven’t heard back in a couple months. It’s hard to find another artist that will finish someone else’s work.

Fantastic experience: Had a phenomenal experience. Rachael was my tattoo artist and I had a blast !! Twenty one pilots inspired ghost with goop. Was script day so I had to get a saying xD

Fantastic experience: We had such an amazing experience at The Ink Room with Jennifer and Madii. My 3-year-old had been asking nonstop for earrings, and I was honestly a bit skeptical given her age. From the moment we walked in, Jennifer and Madii were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. They took the time to make her feel comfortable before doing the tandem piercing, and it was over within seconds! Very Clean and reasonable prices! They truly have *magic hands* — so gentle and confident. Her ears healed so quickly, and to my surprise, my little one took such great care of her beautiful earrings all on her own, and proudly showing them off to everyone she meets… Thank you, Jennifer and Madii, for being so absolutely awesome with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Daughter had her nose pierced by Maddy. 1st piercing ever and Maddy was so sweet and amazing! Clean place and clean products. It was fast and decently priced too!! She went above and beyond to show and explained everything to my daughter about her piercing. Took the time to answer all of our questions. 100 percent would recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Got 5 piercings in one appointment with Maddi! She did great! The staff here are super awesome and kind, and they treat you like family. The Ink Room is the place to go, especially if you’re feeling a bit nervous to get a piercing. Maddi did not make me feel rushed whatsoever, allowing me to take some breaks in between piercings, and constantly checking in with me to see how I’m feeling. She was also super knowledgeable, and let me know I didn’t have the anatomy for one of the piercings I had wanted (daith). Callum also kept great company and got me water whenever I felt queasy hahaha. I will definitely be coming back for my right ear!

Fantastic experience: Wow this place is amazing! My kids aged 11 and 6 both got tandem ear piercings done and Jennifer and Maddi were soooo good with them! It was so quick and painless and my kids are thrilled with their earrings. I recommend The Ink Room for kids piercings for sure! Thank you both so much!!

Negative experience: I got a tattoo here and the girl working wouldn’t let me place it where I wanted to because it was my first tattoo I wish I wasn’t pressured into where it was placed I really hate the placement. Don’t get tattoos here I paid more than 500 dollars for a tattoo I hate.

Positive experience: Went to see Marru about a tattoo I've wanted for a very long time but was extremely picky about; designer, artist, style etc. Needless to say she crushed it, the tattoo is so sick, I'm so in love with it. It was also awesome to show up to a tattoo shop with snacks and ginger ale for their clients. Though they don't have to supply those things for their clients it was still great of them too. It did suck big time though to pay her hourly rate for my first touch ups so be aware before going for your touch ups

Negative experience: i’m sure this is a nice place… however i’ve been wanting to get my nose pierced for a few weeks now and last week my mom emailed them to book an appt and it’s been a week but we still haven’t gotten a response! we’ve found a new place for me to get it done, and if emailing is your only way of communication please consider working on getting back to your customers in a timely fashion

Negative experience: I recommend this shop to my dad as I am familiar with some of the artists work.. The tattoo itself is great, the service during not so much. He got a very simple tattoo, size no bigger than 3inch×3inch, almost no detail to the piece.. as it was just black work. so once he was sitting with the artist it seemed as if she was trying to waste some time (as they charge by a hourly rate).. shaving him very slowly, coming back and forth many times for silly things like pillows, humming and hawing how to position him for 5 minutes, leaving the room while the tattoo was almost done to "let it settle in the skin" and came back 5-10 minutes later and finished it.. we've both been tattooed many times at many shops and never seen or heard this before. the tattoo ended up costing him $75 for deposit plus $140 in the shop for a very basic tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I have a few tattoos from Satch from ~2021 but I often get compliments on the linework of what I have. Would recommended if the tattoo you want is detailed and requires fine lines. Price is good as well and you can get an appt fairly quickly if you book ahead of time and know what you want already. They had (probably have still) specials for holidays (like Halloween) where you pay for a gumball token or pick something already drawn up.

Negative experience: First time being tattooed at this location but not first time tattooed, Friendly staff, clean shop. My concerns lie with the pricing and duration of time for tattoo. I was directed into work space at 12:30 for a small piece the size of a charging block no detail and walked out an hour and a half later?? This tattoo should have been 40 mins max and maybe 60$ but end up costing over 200$ just seemed time was not on my side, will not be a returning customer

Fantastic experience: I saw Katiejane and absolutely loved what she did for me! I wanted to add to an existing piece that was wasn’t really happy with and she did exactly what I had envisioned! We sat together for over 4 hours and her personality and professionalism was amazing! We chatted the whole time and I was so happy with the end result. Thank you Katiejane ❤️

Positive experience: Amazing experience! The staff are extremely helpful, patient, considerate and friendly. In addition, the space is very clean and they show you the process. My only concern is they need to take more time in placing tattoos. I got one that is very beautiful but not straight. It is in a spot that is easily noticeable as well. I know this is partly my fault as they ask you to look at it. But with all the excitement and not being a professional it looked fine to me. After going home it is apparent that it is on an angle and not centred. I hate looking at myself more and more everyday because of it

Negative experience: I have had a few issues here… I sent a deposit for an appt, that was then canceled by Katie Jane and when rebooked, I was going through a medical issue I could not make the appt due to blood loss, and was told I would not receive my deposit back, even though I had no knowledge of if it was drawn up or not. I went back after to try again and was tattooed by Lacey- wonderful girl, but the tattoo I received of a cactus was faded out from the time I removed the second skin… I tried once more thinking it was luck and went for the valentines flash sale feb 2023- the artist failed to complete the design on the heart of the bow and arrow, and I now have to get it entirely redone after having already paid 150 in the first place. Very disappointing but after 3 attempts my mind is made up

Fantastic experience: i got my helix + two lobes pierced here for $125 and it was an amazing experience :-) jenn was very insightful and made me feel comfortable, alongside the grunge vibes the parlour had. i got a lot of information including a paper that tells me how to take care of my piercing, which is nice so i don't forget anything! i will definitely be coming again for more piercings:-)

Fantastic experience: I first went to the Inkroom a year ago to see Satch to fix up a coverup gone bad from another local artist. He exceed my expectations and made the piece his own and it is completely beautiful and full of detail. I shortly after made the choice to have him do a sleeve for me which we are currently 2 pieces deep into and the artwork is still absolutely phenomenal. The place is clean and organized. Satch is very friendly and personable even with me being super quiet, I enjoy his company. I recommend him to everyone and I have so many people asking about my tattoos!

The studio itself, is always clean and well maintained. Their work is amazing and I have never been disappointed with the work I've had done. I have half a dozen pieces that were completed in The Ink Room and I show them all off proudly. Will continue to use them and recommend then to everyone I know.

Negative experience: I put a deposit down to get something drawn up and sent all my ideas in files over email. The process was never started after nearly a year. When i requested my deposit back i was treated with utmost disrespect over a telephone call despite my patience and understanding. To make matters worse, The Ink Room does not do proper bookkeeping so make sure they write you up a receipt. Went here for Cadence who Ive seen/heard does great work, however i was linked up with the owner of this business, Satch Bailey who has been unproffesional in refunding the deposit on work he never started. I gave the benefit of the doubt despite knowing I covered my end and have jumped through the hoops in order to get my deposit back (which HAS to be autodeposit rather than the cash I gave innitially a year ago). I feel bad and am dissapointed that i won't be returning here anyime soon. Deposits are normally non-refundable given that the artist takes the time to draw something up, however this is not the case as the draw up simply was never done. Edit: Though i cannot see the reply from the owner it appears that he would like to share our email exchange whereas before he claimed i never even sent my ideas... To the public you should know that we did in fact meet in person and my understanding was that id be contacted with the draw up. This guys a real class act guys, steer clear.

Fantastic experience: Got my ears pierced here. My piercer was super friendly and very informative. Gave me the sea salt to clean my ears with. I had my ears pierced before when I was younger and that place messed it up abit. However, she was able to fix it even with all the scar tissue and was quite gentle.

Negative experience: Met with Katie to discuss a new piece and provide a deposit. I've seen and very much enjoy her line styling, hence why I picked this artist. I was informed that I will be sent some art 48hrs beforehand to make any necessary adjustments. The day before our appointment, Katie requested to move it because of a Flash day at the shop. Could this not have been planned on a day without clients instead of moving appointments last second? Not to mention that it took days and a second message from me to get her to respond and schedule a new date. Now we're at the morning of the new date (3hours before) and still have not seen any design or ideas. I have now lost 2 days of income because of this nonsense and underwhelming customer service. I can't speak on their actual work but deserves only 1 star for customer service. Requesting my deposit back since no work has been completed/shown to me and will gladly take my business to a different artist.

Fantastic experience: I got my nipples done yesterday by Jenn ( second time going to her, she did my tongue back in august ) and honestly I love going to see her! She is so warm, welcoming & very patient. I don’t feel like she is trying to rush me out the door. Piercings themselves don’t scare me / make me anxious, but I get a little paranoid when it comes to the healing process ( I get nervous they are going to reject or my mind plays tricks on me thinking they are crooked etc ) and she is so calm and let’s me ask a million questions/ let’s my vent my anxieties about healing lol. Highly recommend her. Couldn’t be happier about my experience with her.

Negative experience: I really loved the work that the apprentice artist did for me, and she was really lovely. She slightly miscalculated the cost of the session, which is fine because math is hard, and I figured it was worth the cost. I paid by card, and tipped the artist, only to hear that she was not paid for the session nor did she receive her tip. This is so incredibly disappointing to me, because she deserved the money for the work that she did. I'm so disheartened to hear that I paid for work that went directly in the pocket of someone who did nothing to earn it. Evidently, other artists also experienced not being paid for their work. Additionally... The owner of the shop didn't check the work of his apprentice, nor did he ask for any kind of consent for walking through the space my artist was in. I was in my underwear, and there were a number of men coming in and out of the space with no consideration about whether that was alright.

Fantastic experience: Satch did a simple forearm tattoo for me and was very polite and respectful. Was a quick morning service and I was out in an hour. It healed remarkably well and the line art is incredibly symmetrical.

Negative experience: The owner of the shop, Satch, was my artist. We discussed adding detail and giving my tattoo that I already had some depth. The top photo is the before and the bottom is after. It doesn't look bad but for over $400 I would expect to see more of a difference. Tried to talk it out with him and told him I was unhappy but he stands behind his work apparently. Literally everyone I've talked to about this has been shocked by the amount I paid for this. He seemed like a decent guy at the time.

Negative experience: My time slot was canceled because I asked if a change was possible with the tattoo I wanted, I was told that another appointment would be needed and I made it clear that I wanted to go with my original plan. So without checking with me they bumped me and will now probably be keeping my deposit. There is a serious lack of communication with the person who runs the Instagram account. There is no way I wanted to be bumped after waiting for so long I only asked if it was possible and after seeing the response I clearly decided to go with plan A. Running a business completely off txt is not always a great idea, things are lost in translation.
