Negative experience: I hate it

Positive experience: The staff was amazing but the tattoo itself didn’t turn out great. it was supposed to be a completely symmetrical tattoo done by Daljeett Kaur. It was not symmetrical. She claimed it was because it was the first sessions and it would get cleaned up in the second session but it’s a little hard to believe when one side that should be mirroring the other is the opposite. Both sides together were supposed to be pointed / \ but they were positioned like / /…… when the second session came around, she had to thicken the lines and cross lines to correct the mistake. the tattoo was a line work tattoo so the mistake is quite apparent when regarding the entire tattoo. :( pretty bummed out but overall enjoy the tattoo, the mistake I usually keep covered though The owner reached out to me and offered to fix up the mistakes on the old tattoo in few short sessions for free! I’m much happier with it now. It looks a lot better. Thank you to Katja!

Fantastic experience: Kristy did ghost cat tattoos last year for my bestie and me and it still makes me so happy! This was the first time I got a tattoo in Saskatoon, but not my first tattoo by far, and the shop had such a great vibe and was just a great place to be.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely wonderful experience with Katja today! She is incredibly talented and does absolutely gorgeous work. She really takes the time to make sure that you are happy with your piece from start to finish and has great suggestions to make sure you love the final result. Couldn't be happier! Mary at the front desk was so lovely, welcoming and friendly. I had a couple small interactions with other artists and you can see the love they have for their work and the support and care they have for their work and the other artists works as well. A really beautiful family feel in the bond they have. The shop itself is very cool, great artwork and vinyl on the walls. Very welcoming and personal to the artists. 10/10 recommend Mama Tried if you are looking for a tattoo!

Mama Tried has been extremely accommodating of my timeline of being able to come in for sessions due to medical reasons. Highly recommended.

Kaur did a fantastic Job she captured everything I wanted and made it unique for me and was great walking me through it and making sure I was happy and let me critic and make changes so that I loved it. Fantastic experience: Probably the best experience I've ever had getting a tattoo. I'm a crazy cat lady, so finding a tattoo artist that is crazy about cats and cat tattoos is a great fit. Most of the tattoo artists are women so there is a calm, chill vibe inside. Merle Haggard is the man around here.

Fantastic experience: Daljeett was so patient because I was having trouble with placement. She listened to my tweaks to her design kindly and didn't get defensive when I had something I wanted changed to suit my tastes. Very friendly and gentle hand .

Fantastic experience: Kristy touched up and recoloured a tattoo I had got on Maui this past April. I had either an allergic reaction or infection and the colour wasn’t what I had wanted once it healed. Kristy was able to completely fix it up, including recoloring the whole tattoo, blending out lines I didn’t like and fixing the outline. It’s healing beautifully and has not scabbed at all. Best of all, it’s retained it’s bright colour that I originally wanted. The shop is cute and clean. Ben greeted me warmly when I arrived. Thank you!

Negative experience: Kristy did a matching fine line tattoo for my sister and I which I regretted right after the appointment. The lines were very thick! Luckily, my sister and I found a talented artist to cover up the tattoo.

Fantastic experience: Daljeet did my first tattoo and I am so impressed. Her energy is so calm/inviting and she’s so easy to talk to. We took almost an hour to plan out how I wanted it to look, she puts in so much extra effort even showing me the other styles that might look good and I actually loved them.She has such beautiful work, what a talented and great individual!! Will definitely be going to her for my future tattoos.

Fantastic experience: Returning customer. Mama Tried did not disappoint just like they didn't disappoint the first time. I was greeted by the receptionist as soon as I walked in. She was friendly and made me feel like I was a valued customer. During the consult, my artist, Kristy, was super open to my idea and did a great job designing my tattoo. When it came to the appointments, Kristy was super knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable. The studio was clean and very hygienic and there was no cross-contamination. The other artists checked in to see what was being tattooed and everyone seemed to be kind and supportive of one another. Overall, it was just a very good, pleasant vibe in this shop and with this artist. I am VERY happy with my tattoo and will definitely be going back in the future.

Negative experience: Armeet is terrible. He has the artistic abilities of a child. Late for both appointments, then cut a nasty one during the tat. I will be getting mine covered by someone who knows what they are doing. He is over confident and should work at McDonalds instead.
