Fantastic experience: Ellen was very professional and yet personal. I would recommend her to anyone looking for piercings now.

Fantastic experience: The studio offers to fix any problem you encounter during your healing process at NO CHARGE!! So you're not only paying to get your piercing done, you're paying to get your piercing fully healed too as the studio always has your back! They also downsize for free. This is so worth it considering the price they charge. Not to mention how extremely friendly and professional their piercer Ellen is. I don't know what more you can ask for honestly, will definitely be coming back for any future piercings.

Negative experience: Got my helix and a second nose piercing done at the same time. The jewlery fell out of my ear later that day and i didnt notice until i was home (i have long hair that covers my ears) so it closed up right away. The nose piercing was very uneven, i already had one nose ring and wanted the other side done to match. It turned out to be higher on my nose than my previous one so it looks crooked. I should have checked the mirror longer at the appointment, but i was trusting the professional.

Negative experience: Why say that touch ups are part of a tattoo price and then proceed to ignore messages about getting those touch ups done lol. You can't say the artist is too busy when they constantly post about openings on their social media. I shouldn't be surprised though due to the lack of professionalism. There's lots of good artists in Winnipeg who are happy to treat you good before they take your money as well as after. I suggest seeing them :)

Fantastic experience: Had a tattoo done here last year by Dat and experience was awesome! Was in Winnipeg again visiting and decided to see if there were any openings, the artist I messaged, Kasia, was very quick to reply and was very accommodating to get me in before I left the city. Despite her saying she doesn’t speak much English I found it very easy for us to communicate to each other. She has such a calm and kind demeanor and her fine line work is incredible! She kept her work space clean and I felt comfortable the whole time. I had an existing tattoo that I wasn’t thrilled with done elsewhere in BC and she totally brought it back to life and made me fall in love with it again!! The way she placed the florals on my arm fit beautifully and I had a really great sitting with her. I will definitely be back. Also the receptionist Shayenne is always so sweet and smily! Wouldn’t go anywhere else in Winnipeg for tattoos or piercings, they’ve set the bar high at Odin’s Eye.

Fantastic experience: When our 11-year-old decided she wanted to get her ears pierced, we decided to take her to a professional piercer and not the mall. So, we decided on Odin's Tattoo and Piercing shop on Portage because it had good reviews. We were not disappointed. From the intake to the appointment to the after-care session, Ellen was an absolute dream. She was cool, put my daughter at ease, made a potentially difficult situation as comfortable for her as possible, and my daughter absolutely loves her new jewelry. She will always remember her first piercing, and we are so happy Ellen could be a part of that.

Fantastic experience: Incredible shop overall. Very clean and many artists to choose from (25 or more). Everyone was very welcoming and kind. We saw Igor T for script/signature tattoos and he went above our expectations!!! We are so glad we chose him for our special tattoo with our Dad. His work is PHENOMENAL!! Highly recommend checking him out for your next tattoo. I also saw Mac, one of the 2 piercers there. He was lovely as well. Helps you feel very comfortable. They offer 2 for 1 piercings on Tuesday’s. I find the piercings and body jewellery here to be more affordable than a lot of others. Highly recommend booking with them. And you can book online through Booksy. Fantastic experience: We saw Ellen for nose piercings for my daughter’s birthday - we love her! I won’t see anyone else. I brought my son for his birthday for ear piercings before too, he was nervous and she is so patient, answers all the questions, reassures and explains the whole process. She gave out stickers to the kiddos too I had mentioned I lost a gem in my daith piercing but I was too scared to switch it out - Ellen offered right then to switch it out for me and put a new one in- showed me her jewelry options and let me pick one and everything. Ellen’s awesome!

Fantastic experience: Took my 8-year-old daughter in with a bad infection in one of her ear piercings (she had it pierced elsewhere) to get it cleaned and get some advice. Mac took SUCH good care of her, was very patient, and gave us everything we needed to take care of it (including new earrings). So glad we went, we'll only go here from now on! Thanks Mac!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, the experience we received at OdinsEye was incredibly disappointing. We entrusted the tattoo artist with bringing our vision to life, but what we got was far from what we expected. Firstly, the entire tattoo process was rushed, lasting only 10 minutes. This rushed approach resulted in significant flaws in the artwork, including blown-out areas and missing linework. The pressure of the tattooing process caused further issues, leaving visible individual lines and an overall sloppy appearance. Adding insult to injury, she took the liberty of incorporating an extra line into the artwork without consulting us first. This not only deviated from our original design but also destroyed the integrity of the piece. While I understand the concept of artists adding their own flair, it should always be done with the client's consent, which was sorely lacking in this case. Not only that, the linework is sloppy and not straight. To top it off, there's a glaring mistake—a skewed rectangle—on the tattoo that further highlights the lack of attention to detail and professionalism. Despite our concerns, the tattoo shop attempted to defend the tattoo artists' actions by citing the practice of adding extra lines to avoid direct copying of artwork. While this may be a valid point, it completely overlooks the importance of communication and collaboration between the artist and the clients. They have also not reached out again after the initial contact and after the two week healing process, lacking proper customer service. I have lost all trust with this shop with its lack of compassion and its defensive response to go back and have this fixed. Overall, our experience at OdinsEye Tattoo was nothing short of disappointing. I would caution anyone considering getting inked there to proceed with extreme caution, as the quality and professionalism leave much to be desired. *** Below is an image of my friends tattoo (green), my tattoo, and the original image of what we wanted (blue). These tattoos were meant to be matching, and this was explained to the artist. Even if she changed the original design by adding a line in the forehead, it doesn't explain the fact that these were meant to be matching. They clearly do not match - in the stencil we were shown, they matched, and there was NO line in the forehead. The lines also do not connect. After the excitement of getting the tattoo, we did not notice. However, we contacted you after a couple of hours of receiving the tattoo to inform you of this. My friend called, because there was a line missing from her tattoo from the elephants eye to the tusk and was asked to email so the artist could respond and fix the tattoo, and the artist never did email back or follow up. In the initial "hello" and showing reception the artwork we wanted, he didn't respond for a few mins while staring at the art. My friend then piped up and said, "Do we need to make an appointment for this?"In which Kerry replied."No, it's just line work. "..... Please note the linework below in the healed tattoo. Out of all the tattoos I have, I have never encountered linework such as this where you can see the rake marks from the gun. There's also a blob of ink, which looks like a mistake from the artist. I am a firm believer that people's work speaks for itself. A word to the wise, anytime a shop does a cash grab for walk-ins and piercings, you dont get to pick the artist, and it ends up being a very rushed experience. With this shop in particular, the customer service post tattoo was overall disappointing. **** Do you think this is good work?? You be the judge. ** EDIT as of JAN 2025** Your response just showcased the poor management this establishment has. I have run into a few artists and people who have said the same thing, unfortunately. Lots of good artists, shitty management. Sidenote Kerry: You did not speak with me over the phone. Fantastic experience: Pierced by Mac - got 6 new piercings in one sitting and felt so safe and comfortable the entire time. Mac took his time to make sure every piercing was exactly as I had envisioned, had surgical precision as well as surgical level cleanliness (as a nurse this is super important to me and the care Mac took to have everything absolutely sterile and clean was incredible - had zero issues with healing after the fact as well which I credit to this) . Got my jewellery changed 6 months later and am now rocking the curated ear stacks of my dreams just in time for my wedding in September.

Fantastic experience: Natalia did a complete beautiful chest piece, covering up old tattoos I got that I absolute hated. She made me want to wear certain clothes again. She is working on my sleeve now that’s including the same flowers I got done on my chest & Mandela patterns. She’s great at taking breaks, good energy and great at encouraging me to keep going when I want to give up and go home Highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t ask for a better experience, and can’t say enough about this shop and the people who work there. The owner recommended Dat for the type of tattoo I wanted (which was a redo of a tattoo I had done elsewhere and was super disappointed with and will be getting removed). Dat’s tattoos are absolute perfection! The owner is knowledgeable, super helpful and trustworthy. I plan on getting more tattoos soon, and this will be the only place I will get them from. Thanks for giving me such a perfect experience and tattoo!!! Update: Got my second tattoo by Dat and it’s beautiful!. He is the only one I will be getting all my tattoos done by. Thank you Dat, and another thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming. (P.S. Dat was once again subjected to my hug!)

Fantastic experience: Brought my daughter (16) for her first ever piercings which were nose and eyebrow. I cant say enough good things about this place, owners and the piercer Mac! The place is immaculately clean, the lobby has beautiful plants and a fish tank and is a very calm soothing environment. We instantly loved it and we were so glad we found out about this place! Mac was amazing. I can't recommend him enough! He was professional and fun, and my daughter absolutely loved him and cant wait to book more piercings. I cant wait to be a customer myself to get an ugly old tattoo covered into something amazing! Thanks guys for the best first experience a girl could have! Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of getting my first tattoo by the most talented artist in my opinion, Igor S. @semigor.tattoo. He and his wife have come to Canada from the Ukraine a year ago. This guy is amazing and Canada is so lucky to have gained a special artist as he. My husband and I made the difficult decision to set free our beloved dog Montana to the rainbow bridge. I happened to be scrolling on Instagram and stumbled upon semigor.tattoo and loved what I saw. This soulful human being brought my baby back to life. It's uncanning how real she looks. The details are unmatched. He quoted and charged me 6hrs for my peice of art. Igor worked on my tattoo an extra 2hrs, making sure it was absolutely perfect before he was done this beautiful masterpiece. I'm in awe. I am forever grateful for this human ❤️ I will 100% recommend this artist and establishment.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Ellen for piercings! I got an industrial and daith piercing done by her and the process was fantastic. The studio is clean, welcoming, and Ellen made me feel super comfortable by the way she took her time to map out my ear before piercing it. The aftercare instructions are thorough and the jewelry selection is good too!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a tattoo shop in Winnipeg, this is the place, you can find the best artists at pretty much any style you are looking for, also they regularly have extremely talented international guest artists coming to the shop! Also the shop is extremely clean and this is very important in a tattoo shop, they are all individuals room so you have intimacy during your appointment. Very professional artists. They also have 2 locations! Both as good! And piercing are also done at this shop.

Fantastic experience: I got a standard labret done here by Mac, just over a month ago and the placement is PERFECT. Very clean and professional work place and friendly staff. I bought their piercing cleaner and my piercing healed very fast with no problems

Fantastic experience: So happy with my appointment yesterday with Mac. As a health worker myself he was extremely thorough with hygiene (hand washing, gloves, glove replacement, tools ect.) Extremely friendly and made sure I was not only happy, but that he chose the option for me that would heal the quickest. Rather than repierce my earing holes as I assumed I'd have to do, he was able to stretch out the miniscule ones I had, big enough to fit a stud which he inserted for me. This was a cheaper option for me so I assume less of a financial gain for him, yet he was more concerned with my happiness. Thank you Mac, if I fix my others, I won't be going to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: This is a very long overdue review! Back in December for my birthday I got tattooed by Natalia (a little rib tattoo and a meaningful quote to me). Not only is she one of the sweetest people ever to talk with, but she was so patient during the design/placement process, and her art is just beautiful (her line-work is insane). I love my tattoos she gave me more as each day passes! I’m very lucky to have had her as an artist, I 100% recommend her to anyone wanting a good tattoo and I’ll personally be coming back to her for future pieces! If I were to just describe the overall experience and her as an artist in just one word it would be awesome :)

Positive experience: A friend of mine got a tattoo by the junior artist Mj. The tattoo itself is super pretty and my friend loves it!!! But I’m only giving 3 stars because the tattoo was a very simple one and it took her 3 hours to finish it. Something that should have taken like maybe 1.5 hours tops took double the time. My friend got charged a lot for the piece because it took her so much longer than necessary. Mj was a great artist! She was very friendly and the piece came out beautifully. It just took longer than necessary and my friend was over charged for it. EDIT: My friend was disappointed after taking the wrap off after 4 days (in water as recommended by the artist) as the ink didn’t stick well in some spots and is very patchy (see attached). There’s one spot where the ink is almost completely faded and the fine lines aren’t going to last. The tattoo was NOT increased from 3 to 6 inches, it is in fact 4x4.5 inches (see attached). My friend was charged too much for a junior artists work, and won’t be coming back for touch ups. As stated before the only issues we have are with the amount that was charged and the quality of the tattoo. The artist was very friendly and a lovely person! Edit 2: The issue was resolved professionally by the artist. The artist reached out personally and issued a partial reimbursement. Thank you to Mj for your professionalism!

Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo done a couple of weeks ago by the talented Igor. I had 3 elements that were key in what I wanted for a tattoo that would be meaningful to me. Igor had taken that information and had put together a design that went beyond my expectations! I am am SO happy with how it turned out and the colors he used! He is a true professional and very talented artist. His heart is in his art. I am so happy a trusted Igor with my first tattoo. Thank you Igor! And I would also like to give a shout out to the business as a whole...the staff are all friendly, the stations and waiting area is welcoming and clean. Good job!

Negative experience: NEWBIES BEWARE: Jeff is not the one. Clearly uncomfortable doing basic clean lines. Ink is falling out days after the tattoo was done and he charged full price. The saving grace for this shop is the shop manager and the apprentice tattoo artists. Stay away from Jeff at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Went for 3 piercings the other day and my piercer, Mac, immediately greeted me with a warm smile that made me feel at ease with my appt. He took the time measuring the location of my piercings to make sure they are symmetrical, which I was impressed by and truly appreciated - the first time a piercer has done that with me as they usually just eyeball it. The whole procedure was so sterile and clean, I appreciate all the little details he did to make me comfortable and I am so happy with my result! I wish I had my first piercing done by him as I had a great experience, I definitely recommend Mac when going for piercings!

Fantastic experience: I had my rook and tragus pierced by Mac. He was very professional and we did a bit of a curated ear. He swapped out the jewelry in my conch piercing to better fit with the new piercings. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Got my first tattoo ever today done by Ilena and it was such a good experience, she made me so comfortable and her personality is just so wonderful and she did an amazing job and i couldnt be happier! it was awesome that she was able to use the design my friend gave to me and spice it up and i love it so much. Its the coolest first tattoo and i will totally be coming back for more because i had a great time :))

Not only were the vibes immaculate, I felt super comfortable and left with by far my new favourite tattoo. His knowledge of Tattoos, the color, the placements, and the design are incredible. He is meticulous in his work and it shows in his tattoos.

Fantastic experience: I got my Bellybutton pierced by Mac at Odin’s Eye and was SUPER impressed. Beautiful studio, CLEAN, friendly staff, overall great vibes. Mac was friendly, efficient and made the piercing fun quick and (almost) painless. Highly recommend this place and piercings with Mac!!

Fantastic experience: Got my tattoo done by Jong. He really pays attention to detail and is very particular about how he wants his work done. He managed to grab all the elements of the Inspo photos I sent him and created a design unique to me and I really appreciate how much time and consultation he put into the design. The lines are very clean and it was done pretty quickly. I 100% suggest going to him. It was a good time and I really enjoyed my visit.

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo by Jong who is a tattoo artist who works there of course! He’s very talented. And skillsets are very amazing. I thought it may not look like my expectations. But this was way beyond my expectations!! One of the best tattoo artists I have met. I definitely recommend him to my friends.

Positive experience: I booked an appointment online for ear piercing, I went to the wrong location but the same store name. There was a nice man telling me it was the same store but at another location, and I should get any reminder message for the location before I went there. I told him that, unfortunately I didn't get any message for the location. After I got the right location, the receptionist seemed not so nice than I thought. But Mac was awesome and friendly. He did the earpiecing sooo great! I really recommended him.

Fantastic experience: GO SEE MAC! ❤️ I haven't even driven away and needed to drop this review before driving away. I went to get my belly button pierced today, and he blew me away. His energy 5/5. Professionalism 5/5. Cleanliness 5/5. He even measured it perfectly, center! This was no where near my first rodeo, but I was as nervous as my first.. he helped me feel comfortable and vibed with me the whole time. If you're looking to get a new piercing, go see Mac! He's my new favorite!

Fantastic experience: I was very reluctant of getting my nose pierced. But the staff were very friendly and welcoming. He made sure I was very comfortable and it didn’t hurt at all. Really happy with the service. Will come back again for my helix piercing.

Fantastic experience: I won a contest for a session with Ilena and she was amazing. The moment I walked into the shop she was friendly and energetic. Any nerves I was feeling prior went away. During the tattoo she checked in to make sure I was doing ok, offered a break when my arm started to twitch. Right from the start she made sure to let me know it's ok if I needed to do this in two sessions (two sessions will for sure be needed) Overall she was amazing and I'm excited to go back for shading

Fantastic experience: I went and got tattooed for the first time ever at odins eye on portage by the artist Ilena, may i just say she is the sweetest and most upbeat person I have ever met. She was absolutely amazing to work with from booking, to placement, to patience and the duration of the tattoo. She did a fantastic job with the fine lines and making sure I loved the placement, would like to say a huge thanks to her and for sure look forward to going back to her!

Fantastic experience: last week I got a tattoo done by Ilena. it was such a pleasure to be tattooed by her. Her vibes were so so comforting and pleasant and she made it the perfect experience, especially for my first big tattoo. she drew something for me that fit exactly what I wanted without me giving many references or descriptions (or even really knowing what I wanted exactly) but it came out perfect. One of the kindest people I've met and such a wonderful artist. I absolutely love my new tattoo and I will for sure be coming back for her to do another one asap.

Fantastic experience: Artist: Ilena Got my second tattoo done with Ilena today, was a half forearm sleeve that had alot of intricate details, lots of line work, and shading. Not only did Ilena quote and give me a great price but she also powered through along side me in the 4 hour tattoo session with little to no breaks. The tattoo came out looking amazing and exactly what I pictured and wanted. Not to mention that this was original art that was drawn by her based on what I had in mind. Highly recommend this artist, id get in before her books completely full up because she has a very bright and promising future as one of the best tattoo artists in Winnipeg. Something I would like to see in the future: More organized scheduling around tattoo appointments, especially when they are serving someone with constrained schedules, but I'm positive this will change when they officially move to their new space.
