She was incredibly talented, calm, and meticulous throughout every session, and the quality of her work truly speaks for itself! I’ve also just had my second brow tattoo done by Elaine, and I couldn’t be happier. The shape and balance are spot on, and her attention to detail is outstanding. The studio itself is so fun and quirky, and the vibes are just perfect. It’s spotless, welcoming, and professional, and I’ve always felt comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared for. Fantastic experience: Had my very first tattoo session with Elaine at Lover's Den today! Elaine is so professional and kind, understood that I was nervous and had never been tattooed before, and was so accommodating. I needed to take it slow so that I could get used to the sensations and Elaine was more than happy for me to take breaks whenever I needed. There were also a heap of fidget toys so that I could distract my anxious brain from worrying about the buzzing of the tattoo machine! So thoughtful! Elaine was thorough in explaining the before, during, and aftercare. I felt so safe and cared for! The studio is also so beautiful and the vibes are immaculate. Will be returning for sure! Elaine made me feel so confident today. I am no longer afraid of whatever ink I might want to get next! Thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: Got a tattoo from Lochie. Something he had designed himself. I usually prefer to get my own designs tattooed on me, but this one was too good to pass up. Cool little hidden studio in Buninyong. Nice and clean. Lochie’s design, placement considerations and application were all spot on. He takes a lot of pride in all aspects of his work. His skill was evident in the gentle application as well as the final product which has smooth pulled, fine lines as well as good black fill contrasts. A very clean final tattoo. Healing nicely. Would definitely go back.

It was my first ever piece and a custom as well, Elaine was really helpful about explaining what the design needed to have longevity as a tattoo big ups to them for translating something out of a family heirloom sketch book to ink on skin for me and doing it so well!! very sentimental piece, I couldn't be happier with it <3 Great communication, steady hand and incredibly fair pricing given the quality of the work done

From the first message I sent, collaborative design process, to being greeted on the day at reception by Elaine, everyone was so kind, up beat and understanding. Fantastic experience: Elaine made my second tattoo an absolute breeze. Their process was cleaner, kinder, gentler and more professional than my first tattoo which was with a different artist. The Lovers Den studio was safety and process focused, and the pre-planning Elaine did with me before my appointment made sure I was confident and happy with the design before entering the studio. Elaine gave detailed feedback and guidance on the tattoo design around line size, detail levels, skin movement, and ink aging over time to help me form the final design, so I was really confident in my choices. Elaine gave me time to feel confident in the final placement and sizing choices before beginning the tattoo process. They also made sure I was across all the hygiene steps they were taking through the appointment and gave me guidance on aftercare for the best result. They answered all my questions and checked in as it healed to see how it settled on my body. The tattoo itself was perfect. The hand drawn style design I provided was captured to the last exact pencil stroke. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Fantastic experience: The Lover Den offers a unique experience, with a welcoming vibe and amazing design. The only hiccup during my visit was the door opening in the opposite direction, which made me think the studio was initially closed. I recently had my eyebrows enhanced by Elaine during my visit. Throughout more than two decades of receiving cosmetic tattoos, I have never encountered such a flawless experience. Elaine is a true professional with a natural talent, making the healing process minimal.

Fantastic experience: Not just ink, Lover's Den is an experience! And an awesome one at that. From the moment you enter the studio you know you are on an adventure, the entrance makes you think you're entering into a secret cave, only the cave is super well lit, clean enough to eat off any surface, and adorned with all sorts of amazing stuff, from a clock made from dragonflies, tiny bat skeletons, a Raven in its nest to a throne to relax on. I was so stoked to find a new studio had opened up in the town I grew up in, and it was when visiting my parents who still live there that I discovered Lover's Den. I had my first experience with owner Lochie late last year, getting an intricate arm band done. He took great care in helping hone the artwork, and then a lot of adjusting and experimenting to make sure that everything would be perfect when on my conical shaped forearm - a task that is much more difficult than you would think - because trying to get the design to line up perfectly is an art in and of itself. No matter, Lochie took his time and the results are absolutely spot on. He warned me about some potential drop out, as it was a lot of heavy black ink, and I returned for some touch ups about 6 weeks later. 5 months on and the tatt is full, black, all the lines and edges are crystal clear. I loved the experience so much that it wasn't long before I was designing my next piece, which I got done about 6 weeks ago. This one is on my shoulder and had more fluid lines in it. And guess what? It's perfect. It actually looks better on my shoulder than the original design. I could not be more impressed with the results, and am already designing something new. As I mentioned before, it's not just about the ink. It was great fun, an awesome creative space, and the conversations I had with Lochie made the many hours roll by smoothly. If you're after great ink in an awesome space with super sweet artists taking care of you, then Lover's Den is where you should head! I'm looking forward to my next experience. Thanks Lochie!
