Fantastic experience: Progression Tattoo is a quality establishment with excellent people. It’s a clean, open and relaxed environment. Aaron is incredibly skilled and I am proud to have his art work on me. I’ve had 95% of my work done at Progression and won’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Owen managed to fit me and my brother in for walk-in tattoos today, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We both got meaningful tattoos in memory of our parents who passed away, and Owen did an amazing job — especially with getting their handwriting absolutely spot on. That meant so much to us. He really listened to what we wanted, handled all our requests with care and professionalism, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout. The pricing was very reasonable, and the shop itself is lovely — clean, welcoming, and relaxed. If I didn’t live in the UK, I know exactly where I’d be going for all my tattoos. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Amazing studio and staff. The place is inviting and comfortable with all sorts of cool stuff to look at. The staff are all friendly and accommodating, my tattoo was with Owen and I highly recommend his work. Just be prepared for some steep stairs to get in!

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience getting my forearm done by Jin. I have been waiting 7 years to find the right artist and he overachieved my expectations. Negative experience: One of their 'freelance artists' has completely ignored numerous emails from me this year regarding a tattoo I'd like to get finished at some stage this century. I've now given up on her finishing it but I'd really like my deposit back. Progression Tattoo forwarded yet another email on to her for me but has washed their hands of any responsibility. I understand their perspective but they might want to consider that the name of their business is being tarnished by this freelance artist who seems to lack any customer service skills. I just want my deposit back and wish someone would take responsibility.

Negative experience: I got a tattoo done by an apprentice here a couple years ago. It was a really uncomfortable experience, he was annoying when I kept asking him to change the design he had sketched up and I felt very pressured. It was traumatic. I expressed my concerns after to the ex co owner Sam who offered me laser ‘free of charge’ to remove the tattoo once my skin healed. She did about 5 sessions before going completely MIA. I called and texted her multiple times over several months as well as emailing their company email and calling the business. Multiple voice messages I left went unreplied to until the current owner, Matt, sent me an email. He said Sam never said how many laser services I would get for free and that I had had enough so I needed to pay for them. This was about a year after I received my last laser session. Turns out, they went through a massive divorce, he bought her out, and couldn’t hire a laser tech to fill her place. He was rude and unprofessional. Terribly managed place

Fantastic experience: As soon as you enter the premised you are welcomed by the friendly team. The extremely clean rooms are akin to an art museum, with amazing Japanese-style paintings and prints. The experienced staff were easy to talk to and provided great advice. Matt performed his artwork to uplift an existing, faded tattoo. The work is amazing and cannot be faulted. I highly recommend the team at Progression, will be back soon.

As a woman I feel completely safe and respected I get tattooed by Ryan and he's always down for a lovely chat and will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Aside from that, the quality of the artists' work is really top notch. They'll accommodate both big pieces and smaller work. If it's your first time getting a tattoo and you're a bit nervous this would be the perfect atmosphere to be in.

Negative experience: Tattoo consult - he did not want to do anything remotely close to what I wanted. I sent images prior so they knew I wanted a colour one. Tattooist stated does not do colour and can't do the other. Should not have matched me with an artist that they should have known would not do anything close to what I wanted. Investigate artists prior and pick one who suits you.

She always made me feel comfortable, and was very compassionate and professional. I've had excellent results with my treatments and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I saw Chiara for a tattoo consult, who was also very accommodating and focused on getting me the best outcome. Her advice and knowledge was invaluable to me. Not only did she give me a beautiful tattoo, but she also went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as possible which I appreciated so much.
