Fantastic experience: jp is amazing

Fantastic experience: so happy with my 1st tattoo with Robin & the staff at XJ that i have been back three times since and will be going back again for the fourth time. Robin you turn my ideas into works of art.

Negative experience: my tattoo looks nothing like the stencil & I have to get it covered up. it's not symmetrical, shakey lines, ink bled straight away. i didn't realise until i got home and took the protection off because the stencil looked great & it was in a spot i couldn't see while getting tattooed. i was told it looked like that because the tattoo was in a soft spot (it was on my hip bone directly. not a soft spot whatsoever)

Negative experience: 4 years later this is how my tattoo ended up would not recommend Fiona did a pretty poor job Missed linework and blew out

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Robin Yu, his precision and attention to detail is insane and exceeded my already high expectations. His freehand is incredible and I’m grateful for his fast response and prompt service, especially considering I was only temporarily in Adelaide. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I got my tattoo done by Miya – Little Paw, and everything was fantastic. She listened to my requests from the start, as I arrived with an idea and a few reference images. She drew some drafts of the tattoo, and I really appreciated her patience and adaptability. I absolutely love the final result! Great experience at the studio, a nice, chilled and friendly environment.

Fantastic experience: I am in awe of the talent which operates out of this shop. Every single artist at this studio is a master of their craft. I will be making a trip back to Adelaide specifically to visit this shop. I had a few hours to kill before a flight and decided to see if any CBD studios accommodated walk-ins. I called XJ Tattoo who answered immediately and invited me to come by. I also note while in the shop three others stopped in for walk-ins and any available artist immediately made themselves available. There were 10 binders of unique flash across many tattooing styles. There was one Japanese-style piece that I liked but the artist was not in this day. Another artist, Tri Ngo, offered to sketch up a custom piece on the spot in a similar style; 30 minutes later, I was presented with an absolute work of art. I am genuinely shocked at the quality of this piece and that’s not even considering it was put together On. The. Spot. Incredible talent. I would absolutely consider XJ Tattoo for both a quick walk-in piece or larger project work. In just 2.5 hours XJ Tattoo and Tri Ngo demonstrated they really can do it all. I’m excited to come back.

Negative experience: This place would’ve had higher stars but over that last week of healing this new tattoo from them I realised how much I’ve been ripped off the place is overall great environment and alright customer service however pricing was my biggest issue I’ve been here previously and didn’t have any issues but now coming for my second tattoo I believe personally they overcharge way too much at this shop and it’s not even their original design that they are doing half the time I paid $450 for two small Pikmin tattoos and when you compare it to my last tattoo which was a rat tattoo it was $400 now I’m no artist but I believe it’s outrageous that I’ve been charge $225 per tattoo when the tattoos aren’t even that detailed and not took no longer than an hour each to do I’m severely disappointed but I am happy with the tattoo itself just not the price I paid unfortunately I won’t be going here anymore especially for copy paste artwork that’s just gonna overcharge wouldn’t recommend if your new to getting tattoos but if you want to get in quick then this place is good for that

Fantastic experience: Calm, relaxed, environment I had no dramas whatsoever bringing my son in there with me they had a Xbox and Nintendo set up to keep people entertained while waiting and free non alcoholic drinks and most importantly the quality of the tattoo I got was really good very happy

Fantastic experience: Me & my partner both got matching tattoos with Miya. We were welcomed right in from the moment we walked through the door. Staff were very accomodating even though we didn’t have an appointment & were walk in clients. The space was very clean and wiped thoroughly before, between & after our tattoos. The customer service was 10/10. It was my partners first tattoo & he was made to feel very comfortable. Upon following Miya’s Instagram page (Little paw)- we were surprised to see she’s an apprentice tattooist. she is a terrific artist & we are very happy with her work. I would recommend Miya at littlepaw tattoo & the team at xj tattoo to anyone in future. We will be back. Thank you for looking after us.

Fantastic experience: I had the privilege of getting two meaningful tattoos done by Miya this week. My mother duck and her ducklings and a sweet piece of my 11 year old cat who passed. She did a beautiful job of bringing my ideas to life. The attention to details and ensuring I was comfortable throughout was incredible. Highly recommend the whole studio.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! I wanted a tattoo while visiting Australia from the UK. Me and 2 friends came here as a walk in appointment and all three of us got one. The artist was amazing! He made gorgeous designs for all three of our specifications, and they look incredible! He was super friendly and great to work with. If I lived in the area and not on the other side of the world, I would probably come to him for all my future tattoos!

(This was my 4th tattoo) I was little anxious if the design I want would come out nice or not in the small size I wanted it to be.. but nonetheless it’s just perfect. I was very pleased with there service at the time, but I got my tattoo less then 2 weeks ago and all of the ink is starting to drop out of it so not very impressed as I’ve paid for this and it hasn’t even lasted a fortnight. Sadly I’m from Melbourne and back there now so can’t even go back and get them to fix it

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND I went to XJ tattoo to get a tattoo of a bounding Kangaroo, I then left with a trex-looking kanga walla possum looking THING on my foot. And it put not in the position or correct facing way as discussed I am extremely disappointed in this as I was looking forward to it so much. Very disappointed Thank u

Fantastic experience: I arrived to a very quiet studio for my tattoo appointment. Fiona was the artist who would be doing my tattoo. She seemed a stern woman, not one for small talk. As this was only my second tattoo, I was not sure that I had found the artist for me. But once we got talking about the tattoo design, I felt much more comfortable. Although my tattoo is simple in its appearance, I was very particular about the details. Fiona really made me feel heard, and I couldn’t be happier with the finished piece. I was offered a free touch up in the first few month, but it was not needed. A very positive experience, would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: I don't typically post reviews online but the person from this shop was rude and unaccommodating. If I can give a 0 rating to this shop, I would! I called in to ask for a quote on a tattoo design. The lady who answered the call was unhelpful and gave me some attitude. Very very poor customer service!!! If you are in the service industry, you should cater to prospective clients well.

Fantastic experience: Was a good friendly environment, my first time getting a tattoo and the artist made sure I was comfortable and checked that I wanted it where he was placing the stencil. He adapted his original design to what I asked for and the tattoos were done quick but very good line work, as he said "it turned out pretty cute" which is true, it's pretty cute.
