Throughout the entire process, they were professional, patient, and made us feel completely comfortable and secure, especially as tourists walking in without an appointment. The experience never felt rushed, and we felt confident in every decision we made. Negatieve ervaring: I’ve been waiting outside this piercing shop for over 30 minutes while it was supposed to be open. No one showed up and the shop remained closed the entire time. I even called another branch/location for assistance, but they were unable to help me or provide any information. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time.

Fantastische ervaring: Mi sono fatta tatuare da Megan Melkys nel 2021 e posso dire, senza esagerare, che il tatuaggio è ancora perfetto oggi, come se fosse stato fatto ieri. Linee pulite, segno impeccabile e una resa che ha resistito al tempo in modo incredibile. Megan ha una mano delicatissima, lavora con una precisione rara ed è estremamente paziente e attenta, qualità che fanno davvero la differenza, soprattutto per chi vive il tatuaggio anche a livello emotivo. In the centre of Amsterdam we found BodyCult and was greeted by Megan Melkys who priced the job very reasonably and offered advice to ensure the end result was as good as possible. Fantastische ervaring: Megan hat mein Ohr gerettet Vor ein paar Tagen ist mir bei der Reinigung meines frisch gestochenen Piercings ein Teil des Ohrrings aus dem Ohr gefallen und im Waschbecken verschwunden. Ich war total gestresst, denn es war bereits gegen 20 Uhr abends und ich hatte keinen passenden Stecker für das frische Loch zu Hause. Im Internet habe ich gesehen, dass Bodycult bis 22 Uhr geöffnet hat – also bin ich so schnell wie möglich in die Stadt gefahren. Als ich im Laden ankam, bediente Megan gerade zwei andere Kunden. So konnte ich direkt sehen, wie freundlich und hilfsbereit sie mit allen umging. Leider war der Piercer bereits gegangen, und Megan konnte mir ohne ihn keinen passenden Stecker geben. Sie war aber so nett, mich zu einem anderen Laden zu schicken, von dem sie wusste, dass dort noch ein Piercer war. Dort angekommen, fühlte ich mich allerdings weder gut beraten noch freundlich behandelt. Die Mitarbeiterin hörte mir kaum zu und gab mir einen Ohrstecker, bei dem ich selbst als Laie sofort sah, dass die Teile nicht zusammenpassten. Auf meine Nachfrage hin bekam ich dann zwar ein passendes Teil, wurde aber hastig abkassiert – und die Dame ging direkt nach draußen zum Rauchen, ohne zu fragen, ob ich noch Hilfe bräuchte. Da ich mir unsicher war, ob sie mir wirklich das richtige Material gegeben hatte, und ich den Stecker ohne Hilfe nicht einsetzen konnte, bin ich zurück zu Megans Laden gegangen, um ihr das Teil zu zeigen und keinen Fehler zu riskieren. Megan hörte mir aufmerksam zu, prüfte das neu gekaufte Teil und bot mir sofort ihre Hilfe an – ohne dass ich überhaupt darum bitten musste. Sie setzte mir den Stecker ein, gab mir hilfreiche Pflegetipps und zeigte mir dabei sogar etwas von ihrer Arbeit. Jetzt steht für mich fest: Meine zukünftigen Piercings und Tattoos lasse ich definitiv bei Megan machen! Vielen Dank, Megan, für deine Hilfe und die tolle Beratung

Negatieve ervaring: Worst experience of my life. Small and not hygienic shop, the staff handles jewelry with bare hands and to sanitize them they just spray some denatured alcohol on. Wanted to get a new nostril ring and have it put on and ended up bleeding and paying for a new stone (they even needed to use a taper to put it on). Ofc even made me pay for it

When I got there, she took her time in the design and was super patient and helpful with applying the stencil also so it would suit my body shape. Up for great conversations too. The tattoo itself was fine line red lettering, pretty small. The lines are great and i think she did a great job. Cheap too, despite the good service. Will go back again!

Me and my girlfriend Rebecca priced our tattoos across the street and told our artist Megan Melkys (meganmelkystattoo) what the other shop was offering, she beat the price and did not compromise on standards which I admire! They do piercings here too, I didn’t get any, but I had a little look through the brochure and it’s a very wide range of work Megan and her staff does, they are very knowledgable people in the industry. Such a refreshing experience we had in there seeing megan and the staff so passionate about what they do and most of all the people they interact with. Chat away to them, they will be genuinely interested in getting to know you. I got exactly what I asked for, felt I was in good hands, and please if anyone is unsure just ask Megan anything because she is very accommodating to her customers. We were given a variety of sizes to choose from and asked if the location was where we wanted and everything went great. Megan was very clean and cleaned the chair down and sterilised equipment before and after use, and worked in a diligent manner. She printed out multiple sizes to make sure it wasn’t too big or too small for my liking. We had so much in common leading to some amazing conversations! She made this an unforgettable experience, and I am so happy I chose to wonder into this tattoo shop! I will never forget you Megan, and now I brought a piece of your art back home to the states. I created an image (chatgbt) of a ladybug sitting on a mushroom :) I got a black outline of the cartoon style design. Megan really worked hard to make sure it came out absolutely perfect. The lines are crisp and neat, and she helped me by describing how to take care of the tattoo while it’s healing. Whenever I am back in Amsterdam I would come see her again to get some of her original designs. They also offer piercings of all kinds here. Megan and her colleague were both so kind and welcoming :)

Fantastische ervaring: my friends and i walked in very unexpectedly asking for a kinda stupid tattoo, not really expecting anything, and megan (megan melkys) make us feel super comfortable, talked with us and helped us through the whole experience. it wasn’t painful in any way, shape or form and megan has a very very light hand that didn’t even hurt my foot, where the skin is very very thin. it was overall an amazing experience that i would 100% recommend shoutout to megan for being amazingggg :)

Fantastische ervaring: I just got a tattoo done by Megan Melkys, and her work looks awesome! She was so patient and had incredible attention to detail. I truly love her work. By the way, Isabel, the piercer was also really kind and helpful, answering some questions for my trip to Amsterdam. The whole vibe of the place was great and welcoming.

Fantastische ervaring: Update: had to go back to fix an issue I had with a piercing and Megan was so sweet! She was super helpful and so easy going/kind. Got two helix piercings with max and can’t recommend him enough!!! So sweet and did such a nice job, will definitely be back for more piercings with him.

Fantastische ervaring: Ho avuto un’ottima esperienza in questo studio di tatuaggi. Sono stato seguito da Megan in tutto il percorso, partendo dal design del tauaggio fino alla sua realizzazione. Lei si è dimostrata fin subito molto disponibile e sopratutto è una ragazza gentilissima ed molto educata nei confronti del cliente. Accortezza ed estrema pulizia sono le parole che descrivono al meglio Megan. Nel complesso posso dire che è stata un’ottima esperienza!

Fantastische ervaring: I came in pretty much just before closing, but luckily Megan said it wasn't a problem and we proceeded to get to stenciling. Megan was very patient and deliberate during the entire process as we took a few tries on the stencil but eventually got it right. The tattoo process was very smooth, and the overall experience was great! Thanks Megan!

Fantastische ervaring: Ik ben naar de locatie van Leidse straat geweest. Ik werd daar ontzettend vriendelijk ontvangen door Megan, zij is daar tattoo artist. Zij heeft mij alvast informatie gegeven over de prijzen en wanneer de piercer aanwezig zou zijn. Toen ik terugkwam, werd ik wederom vriendelijk ontvangen en heeft Eva mij verder geholpen. Ik heb een fysieke beperking, maar voor het personeel was dit geen enkel probleem. Ik werd geholpen waar nodig en mjjn veiligheid stond op 1. Eenmaal in de ruimte om te piercen, heeft Eva goed haar tijd genomen om mij op mijn gemak te stellen en alles uit te leggen. Toen ik aangaf dat ik de markering voor mijn wenkbrauw piercing net anders wilde, maar niet de exacte woorden ervoor had, gaf dat niks. Ze paste het aan vanuit de context die ik gaf en het was precies wat ik wilde. Ook tijdens het plaatsen heeft Eva mij goed begeleid door aan te geven wanneer ik in en uit moest ademen en vertelde ze stap voor stap wat ze deed. Ik heb daarna nog los van het nazorg formulier dat ik al ontvangen had alsnog de tijd om nazorg ook te bespreken. Ik ga zeker weer terug voor Eva als ik weer een nieuwe piercing wil. Voor midden in de drukte van Amsterdam, voelde de shop rustig en kalm. Precies zoals voor mij een omgeving om te piercen zou moeten aanvoelen.
