Experiencia negativa: I witnessed an artist using the same gloves to handle their phone and then continue tattooing. The station wasn't very clean. Most of the staff was pretty chill though.

Experiencia fantástica: Grimm Tattoo was a wonderful experience! My two friends and I walked in, my friends planning to get piercings and myself planning to get a tattoo. The staff was helpful and so knowledgeable! They made us feel comfortable right away. The piercer even came in early for my friends which was above and beyond! I got my tattoo done by Keenan Nichols and he gave me exactly what I wanted! We were all so happy with our services!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I can only speak on Damon, the piercer. He did my 2nd nose piercing about 6 months ago. I had an incident and it got ripped almost all the way thru. Damon helped me get back on the mend in ways he didn't have to. 10/10 recommend! And he has great stories, too!

Experiencia fantástica: TJ was phenomenal, I scheduled to get a couple tattoos and matching tattoos with my 18 year old , He was very professional, very honest , awesome at what he does , we got the matching tattoos plus I 4 more tattoos, all done in about 3.5 hours , pricing was very reasonable. The shop was clean and organized, the museum of the old tattoos was awesome , the owner was awesome , they treated you like family. Mind you I live 5 hours away and I will only be going Back to Grimm for any of my tattoo needs and will be requesting TJ . Thanks TJ you did an awesome job . Experiencia fantástica: A group of us decided to get tattoos after work one day and we chose the Grimm Tattoo and Bert Grimm Museum. It was a great experience. The place was clean, the artists were talented, efficient, and kind. About 10 of got tattoos and we were in and out within a couple hours and there were only 3 artists working that day. We loved our tattoos. The whole place was a vibe. I definitely recommend checking out this historic establishment if you are looking for a tattoo shop in the area. They are cash only, but they have an ATM on site. However, it would be better to bring your own cash. The ATM doesn’t charge a flat fee. It charges a percentage of the amount you’re withdrawing. They are also right next to a bar and a couple eateries if you wanna get a quick bite before or after you get inked.

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down the best shop in town. All of the artists are amazing but I always get tattooed by Davey and he knocks it out of the park every time. Always speedy without compromising the high quality. To top it off his energy is calm and welcoming and he’s fun to talk to. Thanks Davey and the whole Grimm crew!! Yall rock

Experiencia negativa: Called the place before hand asking how much their lowest price tattoo could be and asking an estimated price for the tattoo I wanted. I was then told over the phone the price would be $70 but later found out the price would be $120. The tattoo artist who will be left unnamed was expressing political views and even told stories to me about their time spent in a white supremest group. I left the shop in total disbelief with my experience there. WORST PLACE EVER. OWNER SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

What really sets him apart, though, is his caring nature and ability to keep the whole experience light, fun, and positive. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, answers all your questions with patience, and somehow makes getting pierced feel like a good time! I will definitely be going back, again! 10/10 recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I had a good buddy of mine that went today and got a tattoo by Crockster. This tattoo turned out hideous and the artist would NOT fix it and knows that my friend is upset and he could care less! Also he had other work to get done as well and he refused to continue to tattoo him and sent him away with a terrible tattoo and a waste of time. He tattooed for 2 minutes and charged almost 100$ Terrible artist and manners!! Do NOT recommend!!!

Experiencia negativa: Last weekend my husband and I went in for impromptu tattoos. Nothing super crazy. They turned out ok but mine specifically was extremely overpriced. I was not given any bandage to put over it. They loosely put some Saran over my arm and sent me on my way. All in all not a horrible experience, but not my best Our mistake came when my husband decide to return this weekend. He was quoted a price when he came in and proceeded to wait for 3 hours (which is normal I understand for a tattoo shop). He offered to leave several times, but was told they would get to him soon. By the time they got to him, the artist proceeded to tell him it would be twice what he was originally quoted. This is horrible customer service and obviously will not be returning. Just hoping to save someone from a similar experience.

Experiencia negativa: Have waited awhile to leave this review. I have had nothing but good luck at Grimm in the past and have been impressed by basically all of their artist. I went in to get a tattoo by Aaron. He seemed more than displeased with the project (a pumpkin) showed him and sent him the design beforehand. There was no stencil used which is fine with me. The only issue I have is he just went kind of freehand. The tattoo doesn’t even remotely resemble the original and he added a bunch of different shapes and designs. It was a personal tattoo that I expressed I wanted a certain way and it was disregarded. Going to have it removed here this next week. Definitely not a bad place but personally was disappointed with my last experience.

Experiencia negativa: Came in for a tattoo on my finger and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I wanted the number 11 on my finger and this was the nearest place to me. The guy was eating a McDonald’s Apple Pie and using a vape device mid tattoo which was extremely unprofessional. He also seemed to be racist as him and his colleagues were talking about how they don’t like dark people. He then scammed me for 120$ for two numbers on my finger.

I have had some pretty bad experiences at tattoo shops before feeling unwelcome and like my business was not wanted. TJ was incredibly friendly, helpful, and seemed really excited to work with us. But also the for lack of better terms the spiritual emotions the energy part of it the release of an old I don't know I just know I felt comfortable enough to walk in for one and leave with 2 . Experiencia positiva: Great work. No denying that. My cousin and I both got simple tattoos and they look good. Weeks later and they look fresh still. However pricing is not accurate. We called before we showed up, told them exactly what we wanted (we are talking less than an inch by an inch on the neck, nothing special no color or anything) we were quoted $100. We showed up and after it was done I was asked for $120. For just mine. I told him I was told $100 and he said ok. But my cousin also paid $100 for hers. The man taking calls needs to be more open about prices because it was totally unfair. We paid it but these are not $100 tattoos. Here’s mine, and hers was the same thing but a Pisces sign.

Experiencia negativa: Got my navel pierced by Damian , wouldn’t recommend. My piercing wasn’t looking good had him take a look at it and he just told me “it’s upset and let it heal more “ went somewhere else and was told it was rejecting. I had also gotten one of my piercing changed there from stud to hoop was told it was gold, turned out to the plated gold which I did not want. Just overall wouldn’t recommend at all Edit - if in all bad reviews they say you wasn’t serviced here shows how this place in run. If it was actually gold my jewelry wouldnt have turned a different color.

I was pretty indecisive, had the guy redraw me a design twice, we had some weird requests and they were still super patient with us and just over all a great accepting vibe. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve never had a tattoo done here so I can’t speak to that, but the piercer here, Damon, is absolutely incredible. Easily the best piercer I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I haven’t had an actually piercing performed by him, but he has changed the jewelry on my existing ones and helped me with irritated piercings with granulomas and physical trauma. He changed gloves repeatedly during the process, used hemostats and antibacterial swabs, and was the gentlest and least painful at manipulating my piercings out of anyone I’ve worked with. Incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable to boot! I’ve good experiences in the past with piercers who were good at the actual act of piercing itself, but were lacking either in knowledge or in the support/care that comes after a hole is actually punched. Damon is exemplary in this regard. If you need help with an existing piercing or any other piercing need, Damon is your man, and if I ever jump on the double loves I’ve thought about getting, I know where I’ll be getting them. 10/10.

Experiencia fantástica: Stopped by here today to see the tattoo exhibits. We didn’t realize it was also a tattoo parlor so that was an added bonus! Lots of original art on the walls. It was neat to see it in person. There were a few shirts for sale in the window. My favorite part was the actual old photographs in the back room in the glass case. They were epic. Loved the history and nostalgia.

The lady at the front desk was super friendly and the shop was clean. Cory did my tattoo and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist. Experiencia positiva: I wanted to wait to write this review until my tattoo healed. Jayson was my tattoo artist and honestly I’m disappointed with my piece. I got it my tattoo done and it needed to be touched up. The first appointment was fine, I just had to wait which I understood. But it came time for my touch up appointment and he forgot I was scheduled (yes he did say that too me) so I had to wait an hour and a half after the time I requested. The gentleman before me had trouble with the atms and didn’t pay him that day but said he would be back the next. While Jayson was going over my tattoo it seemed more harsh and rough because he was mad at that situation. Apparently that was the second time that day, but it was unprofessional to take it out on my arm. It is still splotchy and there is a smear in the girls lips. I know there is a risk with tattoos coming out right and this was a risk I wish I didn’t take there because now I have to find someone else to fix those mistakes which some won’t touch another artists work. Three stars because the first appointment went okay. Honestly don’t think I will be back or at least to see him.

Experiencia fantástica: I walked into this establishment because I saw a sign that they also are a tattoo museum and I just could not help myself. However, after I looked at their little exhibit, which are really really cool, I asked them ‘hey can they squeeze me in for a flash tattoo’ and even though they are understaffed and had a fire break out in another part of the building they were still able to accommodate me last minute for two small flash tattoos. I was so impressed by my artist (big man I didn’t catch his name but he’s a big man and he’s great). He was professional, quick and easy to talk to. He was also really excited to do my tattoo even though he seemed a little bit stressed and tired. He’s a great artist and I’m so happy with my two small tattoos. He also offered me free touchups if that was needed but I don’t think they are needed but still was really nice to hear that. I definitely want to get more tattoos from this shop!

Experiencia positiva: I think it’s a great establishment with fine work but I am dissatisfied with my experience. went in to get a piece of jewelry put in my Monroe hole and I bought the jewelry there the hole was already there I just needed to have someone actually put in the earring for me bc I couldn’t and less than 24 hours not even maybe 12 hours it had fallen out and so i paid 30 dollars for an earring basically. Needless to say I’m back where I started lol but as far as the staff goes they were extremely helpful.

This was the only place she did research on but we went as I got one as well (I have multiple tattoos) and by far, my tattoo from here is my favorite because out of all my others, it's so clean and doesn't look like a hot mess. Hers was very beautiful and so clean as well and we loved it! Staff is amazing. My birthday is coming very soon and we are coming in for a piercing "party" with some girls we work with, i'm very excited. I will definitely be back for more, even will have some of my older tattoos fixed up here

I can always appreciate when an artist doesn't stencil but freehands with some sharpies. She not only was able to knock out the cover ups, but was able to make the test of the tattoo amazing. If you are considering a walk in tattoo, I highly recommend Danni. She was fun, nice, and most importantly, a great tattoo artist

Experiencia fantástica: I had an old tattoo on my upper rib from years back that I got out-of-state that I wanted to add more color and life to and I went into Grimm on a whim to see what could be done. I got paired with Danni and from the get-go she was awesome. It was her idea to do a cover up of some stars on the old tattoo and turn them into flowers, which I instantly loved. She drew her own design, I liked it, but then once the whole thing was done on my skin I was 10x even more wowed! I feel like I have a personal garden oasis on my side now, and thanks to Danni, it's now a tattoo I'm so proud of instead of one I'm constantly trying to hide.

Experiencia fantástica: This is where we go. Period. Lots of history, personality, and character. They are clean with great energy. There can be a couple of hours wait but there are places to go to kill time like a wing restaurant, gas station, and Aquarius accross the street. It is in a relatively safe neighborhood with entertaining people, so we enjoy waiting outside to people watch. Pictured below is a "just after" with my newest one- a Dr. WHO quote with a rose they designed. The artist asked me several questions and I texted them pictures for examples before she mocked up an outline. They are good about considering your comfort for large designs, and they are priced fairly. With some second skin and clear care instructions it has been a pleasure each time we have gone. Love you guys! Ps. Coolest bathroom floor ever! It's all pennies.

She did exactly what I asked for adding a personal touch to make it unique- it was a protection eye and she even placed it on letting the universe know what it was for. She has a light hand and a remarkable gift in her artistry. Highly recommended-I was a walk in visiting from out of town and the entire shop made me feel welcomed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars all day! He explained his entire process and the pros and cons of each selection of jewelry he uses. I had a lot of fun and the entire experience was enjoyable from beginning to end. He offered a card for direct contact if I had any issues or questions. 10/10 would recommend!

Experiencia positiva: I got a tattoo here one night behind my right ear. It was done very well. Fast forward to now, I want a similar tattoo behind my other ear. I went in asking for the same artist. The artist was not there, which I can understand. I inquired about making an appointment with this artist, they don't do appointments? OK, seems odd they literally only do walk-ins. I ask when the next time this artist is working and was given his name and work schedule. I was also told I could reach out to him on Instagram, which I don't have. I return and was told that this artist is still not working, I was told wrong. If you are looking for a place to walk in a get a tattoo (maybe, because with walk-ins only, you definitely are not guaranteed to be seen) this is definitely the place you should go. If you want a shop that you can build a relationship with the artist and get more than one tattoo, this is definitely not the place to go.

Experiencia fantástica: Came in on a Saturday, took us like 2 hours to get in which I thought was quick. Friendly staff and knowledgeable artist!! Artists were very nice too! For the size and what I got I thought was decent priced!

Experiencia negativa: Completely unorganized and rude. My friends got tattoos and guess one guy was mad because it was a small one and not enough money for him. They booked all 3 at same time and got all 3 at different times. Horrible communication.

He told me everything about the experience, walked me through my first piercing in detail, while also having conversations with us about shared interests and being genuinely hilarious the entire time. Made my first experience extremely enjoyable and will be back for my next piercing

The lines on my tattoo are SO CLEAN, especially for a tattoo on my fingers. It’s worth it to spend a little extra to get good quality. Check out Danni!!
