From the first consultation to the final session, the artist was professional, patient, and extremely detail-oriented. They took my idea and elevated it into something even better than I pictured. The line work is crisp, the shading is smooth, and the overall composition flows perfectly with my body. You can tell they take pride in their craft and don’t rush the process. The shop was clean, organized, and had a comfortable vibe the entire time. For a big piece especially, you want someone who communicates well and cares about quality — and that’s exactly what I got. Worth every dollar and every hour in the chair. I’ll definitely be back for future work. Highly recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down the BEST tattoo shop a customer can go to! Do yourself a favor and come see Yunus. I’m incredibly happy with the quality of work and overall experience provided by the artist and staff at this shop. He completed my entire leg sleeve, which was a massive project. Took 6 sessions in total. We designed the project together and I relied heavily on his artistry to bring my vision to life, and make recommendations based on his expertise throughout the whole process. If you need work done, or work cleaned/covered up, this is your shop! Sharing a few photos for reference!

Experiencia positiva: I spent 6hrs in this shop getting tattooed and was extremely satisfied with the work. Yunas was my artist, unfortunately he unintentionally lost any future business with me at the very end. As someone who comes from a long time background of hospitality, I understand the "Tipping" game through and through. After the tattoo was finished while Yunas and I were in conversation he interrupts me and brings up it's time to tip 1st strike. The cost of the tattoo was $3,000 and unfortunately I wasn't prepared for more then a 10% tip, so I told him and apologized and that in the future when we do the other part I would make up for the lack of tip, he proceeds to tell me " usually when someone gets a $3,000 tattoo they tip $400, that ignorance and entitlement to money that is my choice to give or not and to be unappreciative of it is crazy to me and that single handly made sure I would never return to this shop. Mind you it was my birthday and he was aware, so to make a customer feel this way is extremely unprofessional and honestly it's your job to draw on people and your pricing is insanely high so to expect a tip to the point where you disrespect your customer is wild.

My sister and I went in for a belly button piercing, and right off the bat, Alex was incredibly welcoming and greeted us with such positive energy. He made us feel comfortable immediately and helped direct us to Diana for our piercings. Diana was so sweet and professional! She walked us through the entire process, explained everything clearly, and made sure we felt comfortable before starting; you can tell she cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. The shop itself has such a friendly vibe, and the staff as a whole made the experience 10x better. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone interested in a tattoo or piercing. I’ll definitely be coming back :)

Experiencia negativa: Called ahead to get piercings, once we arrive (a little late, there is no parking) we get denied entrance. It’s 7:40. We weren’t told that there won’t be a piercer at this time and website says they close at 9PM.

The man basically came up with a clipart design, passed me off to a different artist who barely spoke english and had to google what a rainbow was. There was one red flag after another but i was so excited to get a tattoo that i overlooked all of it at the time. I really regret getting tatted here

Experiencia negativa: I went to the shop yesterday. They would not give me a quote showing the tattoo I wanted. When I got there the designer was talking me into something she was able to do and not what I wanted. She obviously didn't know how to design it other than from a template on line. The minimalist tattoo she came up with would be $600. Crazy!!! I went to a different shop in Berkeley and got exactly what I wanted for half the price. I didn't like the way I was treated.

They helped me make my man’s surprise birthday tattoo appointment the most successful birthday present & most fun relaxing day. Alex was incredibly kind, and flexible every step of the way. Their artist at the front, who helped create the designs / stencils is insanely sweet, and talented - she’s so quick too! The artist they scheduled us with to bring the design to life, was not only extremely talented and detail oriented but was very attentive, caring & quick while not rushing through . (Follow him on IG : @tattoolasprilla ) I won’t divulge the total price, as I don’t want my man to know haha but it wasn’t as cheap as other shops would charge, but it still was not anywhere near as high as we expected his tattoo (including my small 2inch panda) to cost with how detailed it is. Even mine - there’s a tiny fleur de lis inside the blue heart, that easily could have been messed up given how detailed the bottom portion is with how tiny it is but it came out so clear & perfect. They also were flexible with me on adjusting aspects of the tattoo to make the price easier for me to manage. Will definitely be coming back here for future tattoos. Thank you to everyone who helped put this together. My guy really does not like getting spoiled, especially on his birthday, and he was / is incredibly happy with this.

Experiencia negativa: Came here four months ago for an industrial piercing. When I left, the rear piercing was in the wrong spot going only through skin and not cartilage. I didn't realize how off it was at the time, I was told it was swelling, and it would look normal after it healed. I returned a few months later because I live in SoCal. Came back today and was charged a re-piercing fee even though all I wanted was for them to fix a mistake they made in the first place. Very dissatisfied with their service and I would expect more out of a shop like this.

Experiencia positiva: I give it a three-star as it's very professional very clean. However they are completely overpricing their tattoos. I went in for a small neck tattoo with color. Expecting to pay at least $130 if not $200. However, they quoted me at $350. I get that color tattoos or more expensive. I have tattoos are bigger than what I wanted to get that was worth the $350. Not a small neck tattoo

Experiencia negativa: 100 dollars for a SINGLE nipple peircing is crazy. Their prices are ABSURD….. Update: i went to The Plug in Richmond and got a single nip piercing for just $25 and they did an excellent job. I’d reccomend them if you dont want to spend an arm and a leg for a simple piercing. Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this place for a piercing. There are long waits, the staff is highly unprofessional, and there are more sanitary piercing shops around. They also put fitting jewelry on fresh piercings, leaving no room for swelling.

Ended up going down the street to Zebra body piercing (like a 4 minute walk down the street). Was immediately and warmly greeted and helped out in less than 15 minutes lol.

With my son, I decided to stay in Berkeley, and we thought it would be meaningful to get our first tattoos together as a way to honor our beautiful city. When the team at Cleopatra learned the significance behind our tattoos, they generously gifted us both tattoos. I was deeply moved by their kindness, especially after everything we’d been through. The entire tattooing experience was smooth from start to finish. The artist’s touch was gentle, and I was surprised at how little pain there was. I have a very deviated septum and had to get my septum pierced three times at other piercers before, and Diana did it first try flawless! A tattoo of realism. Some place that has a good vibe; someone that has skills to meet my expectation. Also some place that offers a reasonable price. I finally have found this tattoo place to meet my standards. I could a positive good vibe from staff in the store. They patiently worked with you to create a tattoo that you want. Very flexible. I didn't feel pressured. A price was set as we discussed. Then at the end we came up with a nice background with great details without extra charges. 30% deposit to set an appointment. If you have some idea for a tattoo, I highly recommend to come here and chat with them. Street parking with meters are available. There are some free residential parking spaces as well in the back, but the time is limited. Once I get my tattoo done, I will leave another feedback on here. Overall, I have a good experience in here. Thank you.

All of the artists are very professional and listen to every detail of what you are asking to put in to your piece. Yunus is the particular art who did my fiancé's tattoo and he is amazing. The tattoo was a fairly large cover-up and you can't even tell that there was another tattoo underneath.
