Experiencia fantástica: When I first walked in, the staff greeted me and were all very kind. I had my eyebrow pierced by Ashley, and she was amazing! We bonded really well, and the piercing only took about 15 minutes. She guided me through choosing the angle I wanted for the eyebrow piercing and was very knowledgeable about aftercare. The pricing was fair, around $75. I highly recommend Tribal Rites and hope to return!

Experiencia negativa: Ugh. The amount of positive reviews and traffic for this place is mind blowing. Right off the bat though I will say the employees are very friendly which is appreciable. When I went in (a while back as a noob with piercings) the place was packed, and it took a while to speak to someone. I wanted to get a bunch of rings/studs, even knowing there would be a premium from a shop. Figured it would be worth it to see them in person (not smart). When the girl helping me showed a small case of options, they were all very basic but look nice. She then gave me the ballpark prices, which were around $75 for a basic stud pair… I chose one and bought it because I felt bad, and thought maybe it was more normal. That was a while back, since then I have found multiple websites which offer essentially the same pair for $20. I also went to another local shop the same day and they were honest and said I should look online. A friend of mine also more recently told me that she got a botched piercing at TR and the staff refused to do anything. If you dont like getting swindled, go to pretty much anywhere else in town ✌️

The place is cozy, beautiful, many options to choose from and most importantly very clean. I did ear piercings with Ashley and I absolutely loved her. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming to this location for 9 years. Kayla/Ashley have been amazing to me. This place doesn’t rush. They curate with you. They are kind. These are the women who show you that women run a business well. Including all the front desk staff who take all the time to pick out jewelery. Explain pricing. I recently had to retire a piercing that was slowly rejecting, and Kayla was so honest with me about why it would be better to retire the piercing then to put a smaller piece in while it continued to slowly reject. Of course I was sad about it but I’m so glad she told me because I would rather not have a huge scar where my piercing rejected. That’s integrity to me. Ashley will always be special to me because my grandmother and I came in and we both got our daith done. Her for headaches and me because it looked cool. She was so kind to my grandmother the entire time. My grandmother has since passed away, and that is one of my favorite memories with her. And that includes Ashley. I’d also like to think the beautiful little Blondie who helped me pick out a chain for my ear. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name, but I’m so excited to see you again. You have always been so wonderful. I spent plenty of time today with the ladies at tribal and I can honestly say I left so happy with how my ears looked. 100% recommend.

Trying different jewlery and really setting me up for success on my journey. I got an upper nostril and lower nostril to match the opposite, already pierced sides of my nose. Wonderfully done and matched to the T. Don't consider any other shop, just go here. Trust! The staff is amazing and you leave with an experience of "Dang! I want to befriend all of these folks".

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the moment I walked it there I was helped right away and everyone was super nice and no one pressured me into buying jewelry that I really didn’t need for my vertical labret that I got done today. And with this being my first time there I was a little nervous but Hayley talked me thru everything and explained what aftercare needed to be done and when I would be able to downsize my jewelry. She was so sweet and took her time and she has the best smile ever!! She is definitely one of the best piercers I’ve ever had!!!!

Jay cleaned my ears and was able to take the entrapped jewelry out very painlessly. And replace it with new jewelry. Highly recommend them for their professional and kind and friendly demeanor !

Experiencia negativa: Way too overpriced! Pretty sure I was charged for 3 piercings when I only got 1, and bought 3 pieces of jewelry. I ended up getting charged almost $300 to get my cartilage pierced, have someone put a lip ring back in for me, and I bought a $65 pair of plugs for my husband... Should that total almost $300 anywhere??? The receipt looks way off. There's a $10 "piercing charge" 3 times on there. If I had known it was going to be that expensive I would have gone elsewhere. Plus I just feel robbed man! When I was getting rung up they had like 7 products bundled on the counter for me to purchase, just to clean my 1 single new piercing too. So I was like ummm, no? I can just buy saline at Safeway for $8, thanks. Clearly trying to just push people to spend spend spend there. Sadly, I won't be returning here for my next piercings or anything else.

I was instantly greeted and allowed to choose jewelry from a wide selection. My piercer explained everything and let me know what she was doing and what to expect with each step. I was in and out in thirty minutes and so happy with my new addition!

Great selection of jewelry and the only place I feel comfortable going to when I have piercings issues. Lost piercing ball, can’t screw the ball back on, etc… they never make me feel stupid for requesting these services. I know many friends who have been pierced here and none have become infected.

Experiencia fantástica: Yet another great experience at Tribal Rites in Fort Collins. Lauren V made time to reattach my permanent anklets on the afternoon after my MRI. She was friendly and efficient and even amped up the welder to make sure the very meaningful jewelry was securely in place. They have an excellent selection of quality jewelry, too. She mentioned having a permanent chain affixed to earrings and that seems like a super cool idea!

Experiencia fantástica: Lauren is the best piercer ever!!! I cannot say enough good things about her. I have 8 piercings and this was absolutely the best experience I’ve had. It took me forever to pick a spot to pierce on my nose and she was so kind and helpful. I never felt rushed. The piercing itself was super quick and was a great experience. If you have the chance to get pierced by Lauren, you should do it!!! 100000/10 recommend. Everyone in the shop is super nice :) Update: came back in today to switch out jewelry! I still love this place so much. They are so patient and helpful!!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been to Tribal Rites twice now and each experience has been 5 star. I live in California and have a good friend who lives in Fort Collins. Both times I have come out to visit in the last few years, I’ve gotten my jewelry replaced at tribal rites. This time I was helped by Lauren (if I’m remembering her name correctly) and she was fantastic! She switched my labret piercing and gave me a shorter bar per my request. It was tighter than I was used to and she said if it ended up bothering me, I could come back before I left to go back home to fix it. I ended up coming back in the next day and Lauren gave me a longer bar quickly and efficiently. She was also able to help me figure out what gauge my lobes were at as well! I had 5/8 in stretched ears over 10 years ago and have been wanting to begin stretching again, and she was able to give me my current gauge. Thanks for all the great experienced Tribal Tites

Experiencia negativa: I got hustled at this place. I have nipple piercings and needed a longer bar for a set of spheres that I already owned (the spheres came from Tribal). They charged me for a full set of piercings which cost me $75 when I could have just gotten the bar for $30. I’m new to the piercing world and feel hustled because no one wanted to inform me that I could have just bought the bar alone. For reference I got my original piercing from them as well so I know that they would have fit a longer bar. Feeling scammed and even more pissed I tipped them. Wouldn’t recommend buying jewelry here it is so over priced. A set of opal balls for nipple piercings is $230.

Experiencia fantástica: I got my first tattoo here recently and had a great experience. Laura Metcoff did my tattoo and did an incredible job. As it was my first time, both Laura and the staff were very sensitive and accommodating. It was a sensitive tattoo and Laura took a lot of time to make sure I was happy before starting ( I ended up choosing her custom design). If you are planning getting your first or next tattoo, this is the place!

Experiencia positiva: I have gotten 5 piercings from this place and overall I really like this place! I have never had to make an appointment since I have always been seen within 5-15 minutes as a walk-in. They also have a nice jewelry selection, so unlike some other piercing shops you can choose to wear a cute earring while the piercing is healing instead of just an earring with a silver ball. I have also always had great experiences with my piercers, they are very professional and knowledgeable and I like that this business seems to be women owned/run. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the price. This is by far the most expensive piercing shop I’ve ever been to. I usually end up paying $80-$100 per piercing no matter if I get the default jewelry or not, and even things such as coming back to shorten the bar on your piercing isn’t free - something that is necessary to do while the piercing is healing. I’ve been offered free cleaning solution and free bar downsizing at other places that don’t charge even half as much for their piercings. If you can spend the money or are new to getting piercings, I would definitely recommend supporting this business. However, if cost is a big factor for you, my experiences here versus at cheaper shops are not quite proportional to the differences in cost.

Experiencia negativa: I will preface by saying I have been a customer of Tribal Rites for 20 years and always had 5 star service, and never been met with anything but kindness. I have been tattooed here and had all 7 of my piercings done here, and always been pleased. I have bought more jewelry than I’d like to admit up to the $300 range on the very high side. I recommend this shop to everyone because I truly love it. I went in today for a new septum ring, and to get a new piercing. I was anticipating spending $200-300 for jewelry + service cost. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do service here today simply for being priced out on jewelry alone, not even including service. I do not know how anyone can afford an $880.00 piece of jewelry for a septum ring. $880.00 just for the jewelry, not including any service. That seems astronomically high & especially in this economy, how have prices more than doubled since my last visit within the last 2 years? I simply cannot justify that amount for any septum ring. I hope they reevaluate how much they’ve marked up their jewelry and offer more affordable prices, after all this is Fort Collins, CO, not San Francisco or LA. I understand they partner with a very reputable jewelry establishment out of LA, but again, this is an agriculture college town in Colorado, not CA. Marking up jewelry that much is in bad taste. I found something comparable online for $80.00 instead.

Experiencia fantástica: *To preface, I got my piercing last August. I'm not sure who my piercer was. That aside, my experience then was great. The reason I felt the need to leave a review today was due to follow-up care. I lost the captive ball to my septum ring today and was unable to find it. I called to see about buying replacement jewelry, and they informed me that they replace lost captive balls for free! I bought a replacement ring anyway, and a piercer placed the new ball for me. She even gave me a few in case it happened again! I already thought they were awesome due to my prior experience with attempting to let my daughter pierce her ears. She has tried twice so far and failed due to fear of needles, but she keeps trying because she wants it done. They have, not once, tried to force her to follow through or try to change her mind. They let her make the decision. I can't speak to their tattooing.

Experiencia positiva: Everything went well and everyone was friendly. One thing I'm surprised was that you should pay for the earring back. I purchased one $130 stud and one of $80 stud and they don't come with the earing back so I had to pay extra $30 for just two backs which is very odd for me. So my bill went up beyond $300 for everything. I think I'll be going to Claire's next time.

Experiencia fantástica: I've gotten my tongue piecered here and recently got a dermal on my chest!! Wouldn't go anywhere else!! All my body jewelry I've purchased from here as well. I've had issues with my belly button piercing and told them about it. I have tried many different belly button rings, but I'm going on almost a week with the one I bought here, and it's never felt better!! I don't even notice it there, and there is no irritation. It's amazing and I'm so happy about it!!!

Experiencia positiva: This place is stunning and the jewelry selection is top tier. I lost my 20 gauge nose stud and I went here on a whim to find something new. But, all of the nose studs were 18 gauge. The staff and piercer assured me “it’s not that different.” I went with a simple gold stud. They jammed it in, it hurt, they said it would calm down. The next day I woke up and it was bloody and sore, so I took it out then found a 20 gauge bar L stud online. I feel like I should have known better… but I also felt silly questioning their expertise. Now, I’m out $100. This place is definitely clean and high-end, and I can see it gets lots of great reviews. I might give this place another go but would do research first.

I had my conch pierced and it hurt less than my ear lobe. I don't know what kind of magic they worked but it was amazing! It's also healing so easily which I love! I am terrified of pain and was super anxious, but Chad was so calm and professional, he got the job done very fast and with minimal pain. Experiencia fantástica: I went into Tribal Rites yesterday and got my second lobes pierced with my mom. I was sooo scared and nervous because I have a fear of needles but as soon as we walked in the store, all of the staff were super nice and made me feel a bit better! The lobby was also very well kept and pretty. The staff at front were very patient when we were asking a bunch of questions and picking out our jewelry. It didn’t take long at all for our piercer, Kieyla, to introduce herself to us and take us back to her room. I went first, and she let my mom stand by me and was super comforting. She started off by walking us through each and every step and made sure to not suprise me. When she was ready to pierce my ear she made sure to be precise and quick. Once she was done she got me a cup of water, pointed a fan at me, and let me sit in the chair for however long I needed so I wouldn’t faint. I will not sugarcoat the pain, as it did hurt, but it was a very quick pain and went away within an hour! My mom went next, and her experience was just as amazing as mine. As of today, my ears do not hurt at all, and there is just a little bit of swelling. I highly, highly recommend Tribal Rites!

She was quick and knowledgeable and was honest about what kind of pain to expect. Experiencia negativa: Total princesses!!! My husband is circling the block with 1/2 ton of hay. They won't let me in 15 minutes early to replace the back of a piercing for my son. We live in Briggsdale and try to get stuff done while in town. The girl coming out to let someone else in couldn't have been nastier if she tried. You guys just are not that good sorry!

Experiencia negativa: Went in a few months ago to just get my ears pierced. The atmosphere was nice and the staff weren't unfriendly. The piercing in one ear was never fully clamped unbeknownst to me and my ear will not heal now.

They have done all my piercings and will continue for my future piercings for my daughter as well. They're all so awesome, caring, and kind! Super respectful and always make you feel welcome. All my piercings have turned out beautifully and healed well with their recommendations for cleaning products. The front counter staff is just as amazing. They are always super patient and help you pick out jewelry without rushing. This place is super clean and smells great every time. I recommend it to anyone, especially if it's your first piercing. You'll be in great hands!

She made me feel less nervous about the process and although it hurt it wasn’t too bad. I found her to be both professional and knowledgable when it came to placement on my nose and which stud to pick. They have a really good choice when it comes to jewellery. I would 100% go back.

I sent over our handwriting and he outlined it and transferred it exactly where we wanted it. He was friendly and knowledgeable and it was a really fun experience. Tribal Rites was so professional and empathetic throughout the whole process. Ashley was my piercer and she did a fab job of walking me through the process, making sure I was happy with placement, and the overall experience was quick and painless. Super pleased with my piercings and definitely recommend if you're looking for a new piercing!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in today to get 4 piercings in my ears - 2 upper cartilage on the left and 2 lobe on the right. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by friendly faces and was shocked (in a good way) with their selection of jewelry for new piercings. I had been somewhere else earlier and that other place told me that new piercings only get silver balls, so here at Tribal Rites I was really happy getting to pick my jewelry. My piercer was Lauren and she was amazing. So friendly, so knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. I'm new to piercings, so she walked me through everything and made the process super easy. I walked out of there with no pain, no discomfort, and 4 new piercings that I love. I will definitely be back for more! Can't recommend this place enough.

My piercer Ashley was especially wonderful and made sure I was happy with the placement, size, etc. before piercing. Experiencia fantástica: I had the absolute privilege of being pierced by Hayley. She is without a doubt FANTASTIC! I was really wanting an orbital piercing with heart shaped jewelry. I didn’t think it could be pierced with the heart shaped jewelry, so at first I didn’t even mention it. I happened to show Hayley an inspiration picture of what I wanted and she told me that she would LOVE to help me achieve the look that I ultimately wanted. She was so flexible, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. She walked me through the steps, made sure that the jewelry size and location would be exactly what I wanted, helped me clean up a past angry piercing (not placed by this shop), and provided the BEST piercing experience I have EVER had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is considering getting pierced. This was my first time here, but it will definitely not be my last. I am so excited to have found a great piercing place and will without a doubt be back to get pierced by Hayley again!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve gotten about a dozen piercings here and every time has been the most wonderful experience! I’ve been pierced by Ashley, Kieyla, Hayley and they’ve all done an outstanding job; they are true artists. The front of house staff is so knowledgeable and encouraging. The biggest differences between Tribal Rites and other studios I’ve gone to is that everyone here is genuinely excited about what the client is doing, they’re exceptionally professional, welcoming, and inclusive (especially for us non-binary and trans folks), and the selection of jewelry and services really makes it stand above everywhere else. I can’t wait for my next appointment!

Experiencia negativa: OK so long story short the front employees are still horrible. I came back after I think two years three years. I needed a new set of conch jewelry. I was treated like an inconvenience at best by the front employee who was ‘helping’ me. I’d talk about customer service but customer service really doesn’t bother me would bothers me is being talked to nicely. I didn’t have my tattoos showing and I don’t look alternative. When I went back to get help putting in the jewelry because I didn’t want to fiddle with it at home and thought why not get help while I’m here, the employee helping me put it in talked at me like I didn’t know about post sizes. Overall, I really had to work to make this experience better for myself, and the employees didn’t do any legwork in this situation. The only thing the employees tried to do was upsell me jewelry. If you want to place that’s going to have employees that talk down to you you found the place. It is the same. Same as it was three years ago. I still go because it is the only seller of jewelry that I can conveniently go to. And even then I’d choose Etsy over them.

Front staff was quick to welcome us when we arrived even though they were busy. Started paperwork & picked out her jewelry. (Very nice quality & selection of jewelry to choose from). They have a wonderful selection of forever jewelry and work with you on getting the right jewelry for the piercing you have. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go to replace old piercing jewelry. I definitely want to go back to them to get piercings in the future and possible tattoo work as they have a lot of very talented staff members!

Staff is always friendly and warming when speaking with them, and will ensure you are comfortable and knowledgeable about anything you are there for! Most recently, I have been getting some ink from Mikal, and he is amazing at his craft! Highly recommend this place, it may be more expensive than other shops, but it's worth the price for the experience as well as the results you get to keep.

Experiencia positiva: The staff and service providers are amazing here. We have had several piercings and had success!! The jewelry they use is the only reason why they did not get five stars from me. I bought 2 gold hoops paid $100 each and it is discolored and tarnished. Also I tend to loose the backs or gems out of my jewelry. I feel like I’m in there at least a couple times a year to get pieces replaced on my jewelry. I just don’t know if I’ll buy any more jewelry here.

My friend and I went in the other day to get our conches pierced together. We made an appointment with Ashley and of course she goes above & beyond, as always. Always makes me feel comfortable and just love being around her energy. I will always recommend her to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful, clean shop. I only went to get new jewelry but will go back for my next piercing. The piercing artist made sure to try different lengths of jewelry until she found one that fit, which was nice because previous shops I’ve visited didn’t have multiple lengths available. I was in and out of the shop in 15 minutes.

He was gentle and kept checking in with me since I was a little nervous at first. It was pretty pain free and I would definitely get another tattoo from Ben. Experiencia negativa: Was originally very happy when I found this shop and although on the pricey side of things the piercings were great. However they use flat back ear rings. When I first got my piercing I went over how to care for them in great detail. I was told that under no circumstances was I to spin/turn the ear ring and not to touch them. I was not a fan of the idea of flat back but went through with it anyway. Skip to later and my ear has healed over the flat back ear ring and now i cant get it out. When I spoke on the phone with them they told me to come in as soon as possible to take care of it. And when I arrive they then mention that they will charge me to remove it. They really should have mentioned that they were going to charge me before I went out of my way to go to the shop. I think that the manger should really change how his staff answers questions. If your going to put a price on something like this you shouldn't tell me that i need to come in as fast as possible; you should say oh that is something we can take care of however do know that we are going to charge blah blah price for it. Also I am pissed that when I asked if flat backs had any real draws backs to them before I got them done they said no. I would have rather stuck to my butterfly backs if i knew this was even a possibility. At this point I'm probably going to have to cut it out myself. Not going to recommend this shop to anyone.
