The final tattoo exceeded every expectation I had — her talent and attention to detail are truly exceptional. Beyond her artistic skill, Ciera is an amazing communicator. She took the time to listen, understand what I wanted, and made thoughtful suggestions that elevated the design. Throughout the whole process she made me feel comfortable and at home, which made the experience even more enjoyable. She’s not only an incredibly talented artist, but also a genuinely kind and pleasant person to be around. Experiencia negativa: I purchased down-sized snake bite jewelry from them, $30 each, totally reasonable, except that they sold me two different lengths and sizes…:’(…. but it’s okay! I said to myself, stuff happens, I can make this work, so I just moved on with life, then, I got a vertical helix pierced. I wanted it symmetrical to the one on my opposite ear, where it’s a spike going up and down through the cartilage, so you can see it from the side profile…a relatively common request…and the piercer pierced it angled to my head so you can’t even see the jewelry from my side profile, not symmetrical at all…I asked the piercer if it would stay like that, and they just told me it was angled because it was swollen, but months and months later, it’s still angled. Everyone I’ve met there was super super sweet, very kind and very good customer service, but I’m not paying 100+ for ONLY good service, I’m paying 100+ for a quality, permanent body mod.

I hardly felt the needle and she talked through every step wonderfully! I know it was just a simple eyebrow but she made me feel so beautiful and so seen! So worth the 2 and a half hour drive!

He immediately connected with my son and went above and beyond to make him feel completely comfortable and at ease. He took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all of his questions, and made sure he understood the aftercare before we left. What meant the most to me as a mom was how he hyped him up afterward - celebrating him and making him feel proud and confident. It turned what could have been a nerve wracking experience into such a positive, memorable one. Experiencia fantástica: I cannot recommend this shop enough, and specifically Olivia, who turned what could have been a very stressful day into a core memory for my 10-year-old daughter. My daughter recently had her ears pierced, and today part of the earring came off naturally she was extremely upset, overwhelmed in every sense, and when we tried to go to The previous shop they were closed. I called Olivia picked up the phone. I explained my situation as calmly as I could, and she told me to come down. While this seems like a "simple" task to some, my daughter is on the spectrum with Sensory Processing Disorder and navigating public spaces especially situations involving physical touch and new sensations can be incredibly overwhelming for her. Olivia was an absolute game-changer. From the moment we sat down, she went above and beyond to make my daughter feel Seen & Heard. Olivia spoke directly to her, explaining every movement before she made it even joked with her about her favorite show all of the interaction I honestly moved because she is a natural, with soothing energy that immediately lowered the "sensory alarm" in the room. Having children on the spectrum it’s always never easy because you don’t know what to expect however she moved at my daughter’s pace, never rushing or dismissing her nerves. It is rare to find an artist or piercer who possesses both elite technical skill and this level of genuine empathy. Olivia’s professionalism and her ability to adapt to my daughter's specific needs have earned this shop a lifetime customer. Whether it’s my future tattoo work or all of my kids' piercing needs going forward, we aren't going anywhere else. If you have a child who needs a little extra patience and kindness, ask for Olivia. She is simply the best!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I actually went here for a couple of ear piercings but I chose this place because my friend has a ton of work done by Jinx and they are so gorgeous!! I've visited there and the cleanliness of the studio on top of the aesthetic/vibe and chill nature of the staff was an easy sell for me. Olivia is a piercing apprentice there and she did my two helix piercings. Talk about clean! She explained the whole process to me so there were absolutely no surprises. And they had free snacks and drinks! Awesome experience, highly recommend the people there and of course Olivia for her total care and mad skills for piercings! Absolutely going there again.

I took my design to several tattoo artists and most of them turned me down, saying the cover-up was too difficult or that they don't do cover-ups. I was honestly starting to get frustrated. Then I found Raven. She accepted the challenge without hesitation and spent 9 straight hours bringing my vision to life. Experiencia fantástica: I was right at ease while getting a FINE line tattoo from Marsh, an amazing job was done and she took her time (even though I had ankle nerves twitching which I’m sure made it even more difficult). The time taken to talk about the design and doing it completely off how I wanted it, while giving me different sizing options to make sure I was content with it, and then confirming placement was exactly where I wanted it just made the experience even better.

Experiencia fantástica: New to Raleigh so I didn't have a go-to shop and was looking around at some shops nearby. My friend has mentioned this shop before and said she got her tattoo(s) here. I came in last week and was welcomed by Daniel. Daniel's friendly personality made me feel comfortable and I enjoyed the conversations we've had! This week, my piercing was swelling more than usual and started to embed so I needed help quickly. I was lucky that the shop was still open today and that he gave me his business card so I texted his number. He asked me to come in and that he'll take care of it. He quickly swapped the bar (with no charge) and gave me recommendations for the extra swelling. I could feel that he actually cared about me as a human being rather than just a transaction. I definitely recommend him!

Experiencia fantástica: I am not normally one to leave reviews but my experience here was far too outstanding to not share. I got seconds in both of my lobes pierced by piercer Olivia and she was the most kind and welcoming person I have probably ever met. Not only did she make me and my friend who I brought with me extremely comfortable, she was just generally incredibly friendly, so much so she even gifted me a hair pin as we had similar hair textures. All of this on top of the fact that she guided me through the entire piercing process as well as detailed aftercare AND my ears look great! Seriously could not recommend this shop more.

Experiencia fantástica: Had such a good experience here getting my 5 year old daughters ears pierced. We were a walk-in, no appointment needed, and we felt welcomed right away. They offered both my kids a snack and got everything ready. Daniel made my shy daughter feel comfortable and gave her two stuffies to hold onto during the appointment. She didn’t even flinch let alone cry! I was amazed. The placement of her earrings are perfect and so far day 6 no infection/redness, or pain. She is so happy! I’d go back here for any piercing and certainly recommend their professionalism and care to anyone interested in staying away from Claire’s or anywhere else that uses a gun for ear piercing. Loved the experience and we were in and out in less than 15 mins.

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly words cant explain how great my experience was. I got my snake bites done by Daniel with Olivia by my side being super encouraging and comforting while I was nervous. First of all they took a look at my industrial piercing i have that has keloids that i had gotten a while ago in charlotte, that was very very sweet of them to be concerned about. After getting the first side of the snake bites done Daniel noticed i lost all my color (a me issue) and immediately asked someone to get me a soda or candy to get some sugar in my system, for free too! The sense of urgency he has is what every piercer should have. After he pierced me everyone in the shop gave me advice on the aftercare! Going back to get downsized by Olivia was a very good experience too, she picked out really cute jewelry for me and like always was super nice! When i have an issue or question about my piercings they always help me out! Everyone is so sweet and caring there I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Everyone there has such bright energy, you can’t be disappointed!

I came in with a couple of older tattoos that were tricky to cover, and Zak was incredibly patient while helping me figure out the right design and placement. We live in Virginia Beach and are in town for hockey games and I was surfing the Internet locally (Cary NC). The reviews were PERFECT so I called to see if they allowed walk ins. Not only did my artist “SAN” allow walk ins, he designed my tattoo right then and I was in and out in less than one hour. WHO DOES THAT?? AMAZING FACILITY. San did an incredible job on my tat. I will drive the 200 miles each way to have San do my tats going forward. Very clean and comforting facility, he even sang while he worked. If you are looking to get a tattoo in or around Cary NC, go to these professionals. I RECOMMEND THEM DEFINITELY. A side note, VERY VERY reasonable pricing. Tammy Hamrin

Experiencia fantástica: I’m traveling the country and want to have tattoos of the state flowers of all my favorite states. I already had the CA poppy from years ago that was faded. I wanted to add Vermont and Maine, and also have my poppy re-inked. My tattoo artist was Zak and he was excellent! He listed to what I wanted, looked through screenshots of ideas I had gathered online, and drafted up some excellent stencils. He was easy to talk to, answered all my questions about how he does what he does, and made sure I was comfortable. I’m quite happy with the results and plan to see him again in a couple months when I’m back in the Raleigh area for a bit. The facility itself was also excellent. Was not too heavy handed, did great line work, and my tattoo came out super cute! It was also a really nice layout, felt clean and cool, and it wasn’t absolutely freezing in there like some tattoo spots! The atmosphere was so welcoming and kind from the moment I first walked in for a tattoo appointment with Ian. That would be the first of many, many visits! Everyone in the shop has an insane amount of talent, I’ve been wowed by every piece I’ve seen artists do on other clients while I’m getting a piece myself. The shop is very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere of the shop is set up to help everyone grow and it makes me happy to see that. And Ian… wow. I respect him and his art. It’s so detailed and full of emotion. He’s very deliberate with his technique which is impressive. He is really good both at tattooing and at allowing others to have a space where they feel comfortable. I’ve had a nostril and a conch piercing done by her so far and each time it has been a very smooth process. She has a precise gentle touch with the needle. The piercing itself is quick and honestly both of them have healed wonderfully so far! Thank you Olivia for all you do to make the piercing experience not so nerve wracking. Your personality shines through in the best way to make others feel relaxed Although I only have had piercings and tattoos by those mentioned so far, I can confidently say that everyone so much talent in the shop. We have been loyal customers to a different tattoo shop in Raleigh for years until now. We walked in with the ideas we had and had planned to talk to an artist and then schedule something. But San said he could design them for us and do them on the same day. We spent the whole afternoon in the shop working with San on our ideas and designs. San (and everyone in the shop) was so kind, creative, welcoming, and fun. It was like hanging out with friends. It was my and my husband’ 28th wedding anniversary and we literally had the best time with San and everyone, and got THE VERY BEST tattoos. Like they are so detailed, unique, and simply perfect. San more than achieved our visions. He’s a great guy and a visionary artist. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience and stunning pieces of art, San.

I went for a walk in tattoo and worked with Ciera on a floral fine line tattoo and she brought my idea to life and helped make it unique for me and exactly what I wanted! The shop was so clean and the vibes were very fun but not overwhelming at all! They offered me free drinks and snacks and everyone was so fun and chatty, one of their interns Kati even came and just sat and talked with me throughout the session! I could tell everyone was super professional and knew what they were doing! 10/10 recommend and I will be going back!

Zak did a great job and was honest about the nature of finger tats fading, he even offered a free touch up as a wedding gift. I met with him for a consult and he was really helpful brainstorming and planning my next bigger piece. Also really appreciated the shops cleanliness and Zaks diligence in sanitizing the entire work station in between me and my wife’s session!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had Zak do two of my tattoos. The first piece is a silhouette of the Grand Teton mountain range. He took ample time sketching and perfecting the design to ensure I was happy with it. The process was super easy thanks to him. I was so satisfied with how Zak treated me and impressed by how skillful, dedicated, and kind he was the first time, I decided to book him again. This time, I got a lower leg sleeve. The tattoo consisted of 63 hexagons which will be filled with a design representative of each National Park, as I visit them. I consulted with Zak for a few weeks about this project. He took his time drafting and drawing up ideas so I would be more than satisfied with the result. I got it today and he was really excited to start on it. It is always a good feeling to not only have a good artist, but one who genuinely enjoys their profession. If I could, I would give Zak, and Apocalypse Girl Tattoo 6/5 stars, but 5/5 will have to suffice.

The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly to all with a chill but professional vibe from the shop manager. All are great artists and seem to get along well- fun, inclusive, and mentally stimulating shop convos that don’t shy away from a client joining in when value might be added. Normally, I will religiously book a tattoo appt., but I’ve had two very successful walk-in experiences that have quelled my ADHD impulse after going thrifting nearby (self-care at its finest, no shame!). This time, Lazaro was available for a black line drawing on my wrist. He was very knowledgeable about the progression of line fading/spreading over time along my veins and we collaborated to find the right size and placement. INSANELY impressed with his attention to detail concerning the fine line-work, dedication to honorable client comfort and ease of mind, and the finished piece was beyond well-done! Experiencia fantástica: I'd honestly give this place 100 stars if I can. My tat artist was Raven Cobb. She did absolutely phenomenal with my tattoo. Two weeks later it still looks so utterly amazing. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out and how the experience was. She literality made a picture perfect artwork on my forearm that I always look at with a smile. If you're looking to get a tattoo here, just do it and don't even think about it. I've gotten two tats from this joint and both experiences we're better than I could ask for. The people here are the kindest and most patient ever. Just don't give them a hard time and everything will be just great. I'll say it again, if anyone wants any pure blackwork tattoo, RAVEN COBB is the one to go to!
