Negative experience: Recently got a tattoo, the staff was amazing, and the artist did his best but the final product had quite a few mistakes. From a glance it looked okay, but when you looked closer shadows were off, lines didn't connect, and it barely resembled the reference photo not to memtion its fading dramatically quicker than all my other tattoos. Seemed like the dude wasnt paying attention. On the flip side 8 years ago I was tattooed by another artist here and they did my full sleeve perfectly. I'm having another shop where the artist who did my right arm works fix the glaring mistakes and practically redo it all. I don't want to name drop, and I don't want a refund because he did try but just make sure you do your research on the artist.

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo there in the late 90’s. After that me and my friends got all our art there. There’s more than just “the wall” to pick from. You can work with the artist there to get a customized tattoo, or bring in original art that can be reused, such as a rose a friend of mine had drew prior to passing away, is now on my back. I haven’t been in a while, but as long as the tattoo artist is at Peacocks, you get free touch up’s for life. Hence I try to stick with the owner D Peacock. That and he is an amazing tattoo artist and person. I believe they also do piercings, but not 100% sure. If you’re looking for a great tattoo project or a fast little one, safe & clean, as well as LONG STANDING Jacksonville Business & owner operator & employer, a fantastic tattoo parlor to go to is definitely Peacocks Tattoo Studio. The rose in the photo is from 20+ years prior at Peacocks, and the butterfly was new at time of photo from Peacocks as well!

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely great experience at this shop!!! First time getting a tattoo in Florida and getting in contact with the shop. They directed me to the right artist for the work I was looking for, micro tattooing on my hand and fingers. The staff was so helpful with the whole process and incredibly kind!!! I was able to get seen within a few days of my request, and the artist Memphis did an outstanding job!! Made me feel very comfortable and relaxed while getting the tattoo!!! There was so much caution and attention to detail from him when it came to the cleanliness and attention to detail with his station and the tattoo!!! It was extremely reasonably priced, and I am so happy with the outcome!!! I highly recommend this place!!! I was so happy with the whole process from getting in contact with the shop to getting the right artist for my piece!!!

Fantastic experience: I brought my daughter in to get her ears pierced for her birthday. The staff was amazing to work with and the lady that did my daughter’s piercings was so patient with her (my daughter just turned 7). 10 out of 10 I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Came here to get 2nd and 3rd lobe piercings done/redone. Israel did my piercings and was great about making sure everything lined up and looked good before I left - this type of attention is so appreciated. The wait was a little long (>30 minutes) but with no appointment beforehand that's fine by me. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and helpful as well. Definitely plan on coming back sometime in the future for more piercings with Israel!

Fantastic experience: Go see ISRAEL for your piercings. He knows what he’s doing and has years & years of experience. I came in to fix a crooked septal piercing from someone else who messed it up yesterday. I’ve never had any piercings before yesterday and was super disappointed when it came out crooked. Israel reassured me the first one was put in the wrong spot and that he would be able to correct it by re-piercing. I was definitely a little nervous since the first one didn’t go as planned but his confidence and reassurance as a piercing artist eased any doubts I had. I put it in his hands and trusted him and he didn’t let me down. Thank you so much, Israel. This was exactly what I wanted. Also, side shout out to the front desk, Pam. You were amazing.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a surface bar piercing that I was trying to remove but could not get to budge. These beautiful souls spent 45 minutes getting it out for me - and I mean giving me juice boxes, wiping my tears, being extremely supportive and sweet. There ended up being some scar tissue that had caused it to be so difficult to remove. I’m so grateful to all of them for their kindness - they never once made me feel like I was being a baby even though I was crying. Kat, Peacock, and Israel - you’re amazing and I adore you!! You’ve got a fan for life.

Fantastic experience: Had my three piercing done by Kat (belly button, both sides of my nostrils) and man can I tell you this was the best experience I’ve had walking into any shop. Not only was everyone’s customer service outstanding, my piercer Kat was just amazing. They worked around my allergies to make sure I was fitted with the proper jewelry. Piercings were so quick and near painless that after she did the first one I wanted two more! Highly highly recommend this shop and most definitely go see Kat for your piercing needs.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is so sweet! I got snake bite piercings and my pierced was great. It was quick and efficient as well as professional, definitely the best place I’ve been to.

Positive experience: EDITED TO ADD: I went back to have them look and they informed me that TJ was let go and they apologized profusely, took out the jewelry, and gave me a card for a free piercing so they got more stars for the great follow up. So just went in for my Daith piercing and we arrived at 8pm, well within the time before closing, no one was in the lobby (customer wise) and the lady up front was very nice and helped answered all of my questions. She then called the piercer TJ and he came in, didnt say anything just stapled my paperwork, signed it and took the payment. He asked me to go in the back and I asked if he by chance had a lollipop or anything sweet since I am a faint risk and wasnt sure if i was going to do the piercing today so I didnt bring anything and he said no sorry. I said ok, well I am a faint risk so I just wanted to let you know. He didnt look at my paperwork at all, asked me to turn up my head to look at my ear and in about 30 seconds had the needle already through, hardly any warning or prep except for a ready 1, 2 and by 1 he was already piercing. So I was in a lot of pain, which I expect, and he get the jewelry in, balls on and wipes up my ear a bit. Proceeds to clean up while I am trying to make sure I dont start passing out and he starts walking out of the room expecting me to follow him, only about a min after the piercing. I follow him and he doesnt really say anything as I head out, i did give him a tip cuz thats just the right thing to do, but once I got outside I proceeded to cry because I just felt so discarded, rushed and not cared for at all. Not like when I got my septum pierced and I almost did faint and several of the piercers including Barbie made sure I was ok. I hope TJ get better bedside manner, maybe he was tired but I did not enjoy my experience this time.

Negative experience: This place is so nasty. The person at the counter was so rude. They advertise they pierce but have no one to pierce you. Just a terrible experience. I've never been treated so badly. The floors were disgusting. The place looks gross. Never return there again.

Positive experience: For starters, Tabi and Barbie are great piercers. Tabi did my vertical labret and it's absolutely perfect. Super professional and sweet honestly a natural. Barbie is very experienced and did an amazing job on my friends piercings and was super professional when she changed some of my jewelry out. I really trust both of them 100%. However when I got my tongue pierced last night it was neither of the two girls. A lady with red hair did my tongue piercing and it was completely crooked. I have had my tongue pierced before for years and there's still a scar from the previous piercing where it was, and it would've been a great guide to pierce over, but instead she had pierced the top thru the middle of my tongue and the bottom came out near the tip to the left. I knew from the second i tried to put my tongue back in my mouth it felt very off. We both looked at it and realized it was indeed crooked and she decided to take it out. I will say she did issue me a full refund, and was apologetic and kind about it. And she did do a perfect job on my friends nostril piercing after mine. She handled it very professionally and i appreciated that. This was just my experience .

Negative experience: botched my septum piercing. done lazily and completely crooked. sizing up is barely even an option because even after trying to just let it heal after a couple months i had to get it redone because of the pain of the incorrect placement. i regret not waiting for who regularly does my piercings to be there because i got someone i usually don’t get and decided to give them a shot.

Negative experience: Jared blew out all the art he did on me, terrible line work & absurd pricing for how bad it ended up. Do not recommend to anyone getting ink done by Him. He's not only rough, but threw way too much soap over my arm & kept smacking & rubbing it with no care just reckless & unprofessional. Sad because I liked him as a person but as an artist it's absolutely horrendous.

Negative experience: I came in looking for a piercing I didn’t know the name of so I showed pictures of it. And they said it was Angel bites so I said okay. I even showed the piercer the pictures too. When he pierced the first one I asked why he pierced it wrong and he said that the way it is. And two days later I talked to two other piercers and they said he did it wrong. And they’re fighting me on a refund it’s ridiculous.

Negative experience: This is the first time I went to this place and after one month my tattoos are almost completely gone I have many tattoos prior to this one and know how to properly care for them I’ve never had an issue with any other tattoos I took care of this one exactly how I was recommended to do so I contacted them about rescheduling a touch up through phone, email, instagram, etc and never got any response it’s ridiculous definitely wouldn’t recommend doing business here

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Peacock's for over 20 years for tattoos. Very clean and professionally run business. Today I took my oldest for a piercing. Even though she was nervous, the piercer was super calm and encouraging. Highly recommend this shop for any form of body art.

Negative experience: Went there to get belly button pierced, got it done by TJ. It was a HORRIBLE experience. It hurt so badly I had to get it removed the next day, it was pierced way too deep. Only reason not getting one star is because Shaila was nice and redid it for me.

Fantastic experience: Jarrod was able to get me and my husband in through a walk-in late at night, drew us up tattoos for our anniversary, and did them all in the same night shortly before close. It was very professional and quick! Made the perfect ending to our anniversary and we really appreciate his service! Love the tattoos even more!

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere is amazing some of the most friendly people I’ve ever met very down to earth, went there for my first piercings walked me through the whole process, my piercer was amazing, she was very sweet she talked me through every step and I was in and out within 20 mins, would very much so go again

Negative experience: We called to see if they were open and they said yes and a girl with blue hair slammed a door in our face saying they were closed at 9:30pm. Then ignored any other questions. Go somewhere else lol

Negative experience: I don't have personal experience at this shop. I do know of someone that did recently just had a piercing change. The customer was treated horribly from the way they talked to the customer to the way they handled the piercing. The whole experience was unjustified. If this is a first time visit I do not recommend.

Negative experience: Went in for a piercing change out and the piercer there was super unprofessional, and rude. While changing out the piercing, kept going off saying very rude remarks, it was an unpleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Took my 10 year old. Barbie was recommended to us and she was fabulous! Very, very clean/sterile procedure. Barbie was fast and comforting, such a heart of gold. Highly recommend her for little ones.

Fantastic experience: Update: I gave my medusa around 6 wks to heal and just had Shayla redo it and I'm so happy! She centered my bottom labret and medusa perfectly and I LOVE THEM! After a crooked medusa from garbage Chris at fat kat's tattoo, I went to peacocks for a consult. The lady at the desk was awesome and honest with me, and then the piercer Shayla was amazing. She was also very honest about my botched medusa, gave me advice on the process of being able to repierce it after healing, and then she pierced my bottom lip. She took a great deal of time to make sure it was perfect, and she's got a really quick and steady hand. Practically painless, and perfectly straight, and she's super easy to talk to just like the rest of the staff. I can't wait for this medusa to close up so Shayla can pierce it correctly for me! Thanks Peacock's! I will definitely be back asap!!

Positive experience: I came here about a month ago, my tongue piercing was done crooked but I’m not too worried about that I honestly just wanted it done again after having it out for over 8 years and I had a cover-up done which is a peony over-all the design and placement of the tattoo was great. So my issue with the tattoo was that he dug too deep on some spots some have healed fine but theres one big one. Till this day it’s still healing. Its from the flower to the leaves so the branches are faded now. I was in so much pain for more than a week and a half. My artist was great but, unfortunately I will not be returning in fear of it happening again.

Negative experience: I came into peacock for a surface tragus piercing and a one-word tattoo on my arm. I knew I shouldn’t have cheated on my usual piercer but I was really in the mood for a piercing. Learned my lesson. The lady that did my piercing was full of piercings herself but when I asked her if she had done any of them she said no as if that was the craziest idea ever which made me nervous. She also said that she hadn’t done this piercing before which made me even more nervous, but The place itself looks very professional so I didn’t think too much of it . After she may placement marks on my ear she proceeded to pierce it and it wasn’t a smooth push at all. At this point my nerves had eased but only for a split second because once she turned around to put the jewelry in she said that the whole had closed has she began looking for another needle to reopen it. At this point I have never felt so anxious in my life and I really contemplated telling her to just take it out but she ended up putting the jewelry in and made a comment about how much I was bleeding well I mean of course you just stuck me two times on my face while vigorously trying to push the jewelry through. And when she finished my piercing she made a remark about One of the other piercers “Barbie” saying she “doesn’t know how she does it”. Then I went to get my tattoo done and the drawing was perfect but the tattoo artist tattooed the letters kind of crooked and on one of the letters he didn’t even fill it in all the way so now I have to go get it fixed. Please avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I came in for nipple piercings yesterday & got pierced by Shayla. She was by far one of the best piercers I’ve came across. She seen I was very nervous & she made me feel so comfortable and walked me through every step, definitely getting pierced by her again.

Positive experience: Got my lobes pierced here by Shayla. She had to mark my ears a couple of times which made me nervous but I’m glad she took the time to make it so I liked the placement. The place seems clean and she used gloves and sterilized my ears etc. I wish I had been given a little more direction about aftercare because I slept on my side the first two nights and now one side is not healing as well as the other.

Fantastic experience: Jarrod is amazing!! His line work is incredible and he talked to my girlfriend and i the whole time and was a really cool down to earth guy. You can tell his passion for art runs deep. He tattooed my girlfriend at around 11pm and then also stayed an hour after close to tattoo me. He’s awesome, we will definitely be going back

Positive experience: My artist was cool and we got along good. The tattoo it self isn’t bad but I asked for it in a color and he didn’t tell me he did it in black until AFTER he had already inked it. Even though I had wrote on the paper they have you fill out I wanted it in color :/

Fantastic experience: I was a piercing walk in and was immediately assisted after trying to go to a different shop in riverside that closed early. I told Shayla I was a big baby and she walked me through everything and made me feel so comfortable getting the piercing done. She walked me through aftercare and answered all of my questions. 10/10 will go to her again for my next piercing. Amazing experience !

Positive experience: Easy and quick to get in but the artist I had, I didn't like the way he did his coloring. It led me to take longer then normal to heal.

Negative experience: First time I went in there the artist was clearly getting frustrated with what i was wanting because they didn’t have the jewelry & then long story short ended up putting a ring in my vertical labret that didn’t fit & had to fix it & then i pass out while he was trying to put it back through but besides that i came back & the piercer COMPLETELY PUT THE WRONG SIZE IN (WAY TOO SMALL) it was completely indenting my lip & very painful, i ended up going somewhere else & right when the ball was unscrewed i felt instant relief, the costumer service wasn’t great either, the piercer was clearly trying to to get me out of there & said something i suggested was a stupid thing. there is is way more i would like to say but i don’t suggest this place at all!!

He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and explained each step before doing it. Not only was his work amazing, he stayed 40 minutes past close to get it all finished up. Negative experience: Went on Friday night and found out that if you are not a regular you can expect no service. Sat 90 minutes for a small tattoo and saw people come and go and were told that there was always someone ahead of us. Go somewhere else that is a little more organized.

Fantastic experience: Barbie was awesome! A few days prior to me going to her... I went to another piercer at the establishment and the piercing wasn’t done right. Barbie was soo sweet and exceeded my expectations with the repiercing !

Negative experience: Waited an over an hour to get them to try and help put my piercing back in and they could say is just wait while we help the walk-ins. Waited even more and was never helped.

Fantastic experience: Piercer Barbie was awesome great experience I would go back for another piercing but I have nothing else to pierce lol

Fantastic experience: Staff was super nice and friendly. Went in as a walk in for my first piercing and they had me in and out in 20 minutes. Will definitely go back for my other ear! Tommy was super quick and professional!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, went in for a size-up mistakenly thinking I had 12g jewellery in. I ordered 10g elsewhere; turns out what I had in already were actually 16g but the gentleman who helped me still managed to get the new larger rings in. 3 sizes up in one go is no mean feat, but he did it quickly and professionally (though it was DEFINITELY painful). No charge, just tipped! Lots of awards on the walls, and they're in touch with other local piercers. I'll definitely be back for my next sizing-up, or another piercing (or tattoo!) should I decide on one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and if I could give 6 I would!

Negative experience: Horrible Service!! I came in for a Helix piercing and they 1. pierced it crooked, 2. pierced through my existing helix that I have already had done, 3. went right through a capillary and 4. didn’t do anything about it. I called and spoke to someone and then they hung up on me when I asked for a refund. I will be bringing this up that they will not refund a service that had to be corrected due to their staff not doing it right the first time. I had to go to a different shop who legit had to taper it, and had to redo the whole piercing. Never going here again!

Fantastic experience: me and my friend went to go get piercings on a whim (both nostrils) and the lady did great!! I love the environment, prices are right, and it was overall a great experience! will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: Honestly awesome. Didn't have to make an appointment at all. They warned me there would be quite a wait because I walked in without an appointment and there were a ton of people ahead of me but I only ended up waiting 10 minutes max. Super happy with my nose piercing and it wasn't a hassle at all.

The quality of the ink is amazing our color looks great and healed.Shayna the piercer made my friend and I completely comfortable!! she done an AMAZING job our piercings are looking great healing still but looking great!! The woman working the front was completely inviting too us she came and checked on us during our tattoos Wich made us feel more like friends in such a short time. Definitely will be going back too get more stuff done and We definitely will recommend 100%
