Fantastic experience: Just walked out of their shop after my daughter received a navel piercing. Misty was the piercer and she was outstanding. Greeted us immediately when we walked, very sweet to my daughter, and it shows she really loves what she does. We were in and out in less than 15mins and her technique was awesome along with her care instructions. Very good experience for my nervous daughter and I know I will be back. I feel so safe and cared for there. I also witnessed it when she interacts with other clients, she is such a kind soul.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at fat cat. As soon as I got my piercing, it was at a huge angle. I tried to talk to her about it, meaning Misty and she just said it has a high chance of rejecting which I already knew, but it has looked like it from the first day I would not recommend going there to get a dermal piercing or any other piercing for that matter. Also was hoping she can compensate in any way she made it seem like it was my fault. Multiple reputable pierces said it was done terrible wrong!!!

Fantastic experience: Hi everyone! I'd like to tell you a little about this place. It's very stylish and atmospheric inside! There's a store with piercing supplies, and I loved the Bible on the table! They do tattoos and piercings here, and they have a wide selection of services and very good specialists. But what I liked most is the competent people and the very friendly staff. Many parents bring their children here (myself included), preparing all the necessary documents in advance. I think you'll be satisfied (my daughter is very happy). I give it five stars! Keep up the good work, guys.!!!

Fantastic experience: Needed assistance with some piercings after a medical procedure. A friend told me about Misty Dawn at this shop. Walked in just before closing and had a most excellent experience. Misty was kind, professional and spent time ensuring my ‘old school’ piercings were just right. Thanx Misty!

Negative experience: Had to have a piercing that was done by Chris cut out of my ear by another piercer at Fat Kat because it was screwed on incorrectly by Chris. I was charged to replace the jewelry. In the same visit, as an overreaction to this, my next piercings (not by Chris) weren’t screwed on tight enough and the ball on one of my new piercings fell out 3 days after I received them. Chris being the only one available when I went to get it fixed, took a pair of forceps and tugged the raw 3 day old piercing 180° towards him to put the ball back on and had an attitude like it was my fault. My piercings were entirely too sore to do anything but gently clean them so no, it was not my fault. It was the most excruciating and unnecessary experience I’ve ever had. The next day, the ball on my other new piercing fell out. He had to size up the adjacent piercing because of the swelling he caused from the day before. Turns out he could’ve just put the piercing in the other way around without yanking my ear towards him. A year later, my ear hasn’t recovered from the trauma he caused despite following their aftercare instructions and doing the goodys paste at their recommendation. It seems it’s not a normal piercing bump. I get the strong sense based on multiple interactions that Chris doesn’t want anything to do with piercings. So if Misty isn’t there, I recommend leaving. Better yet, get your piercings somewhere else. Edit: I’m fully aware I have to do aftercare and healing. I have 11 piercings, I know how the balls go on and off. As stated previously, my cleanings had nothing to do with them falling off. Really just showing a lack of accountability.

Negative experience: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR TATTOOS!!! I got matching tattoos with my best friend. We were originally planning to get finger tattoos, but after consulting with the artist who I think was Raphael , he told us we would need to sign an additional waiver for finger tattoos and said that his expert advice was to place them on the wrist instead. We agreed to follow his advice. After he started my tattoo and placed the stencil on my wrist, it was clearly crooked. I pointed this out to him, and he told me it wasn’t crooked and that it only looked that way because of how I was holding my wrist. I told him okay, but I was very unsettled by it. He then made a comment saying, “It’s almost like I do this every day,” and continued with the tattoo. Once it was finished, it was very clear that the tattoo was crooked and did not look anything like what I asked for. In my opinion, he clearly did not want to make another stencil after already placing one on my wrist and lied to me just to get it over with. Now I am left with a tattoo I hate and $100 out of my bank account for something I did not even want. I have been trying to reach Misty after being told by Chris that she is the only person who can help with some type of refund or store credit, but I have not been able to get in contact with her or anyone else who can help. He should not be giving people expert advice and needs major guidance in customer service, especially when it comes to listening to clients when they say something is wrong.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and professional with great service. I put the wrong ends on a set of earrings and had been struggling to remove them- Misty was able to get them out painlessly in under a minute. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Went with my bestie to get new holes in our heads on a random Sunday. The shop was super accommodating of our walk in, everything was super clean, friendly staff all around. Chris was honestly the best, very professional and also chill vibes, you know you're in good hands! 10/10 service and beard.

Negative experience: Went in to get matching tattoos with my sister and friend. We were aware of the $100 minimum for the shop BUT instead of the artist just doing the tattoo we asked for he balled his face up multiple times reminding us what the minimum was as though we did not have it. Little did he know we were PREFERRED!! Needless to say we left out. They really loss out on $300 for 3 XS tattoos because of the lack of GOOD customer service. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME THERE! We ended up at Inksmith and Roger’s who accommodated us even though they were closing.

Chris and Misty have got to be two of the best piercing experts i have ever had the pleasure of useing... Negative experience: Got my navel pierced, it was fast but terrible experience overall. The guy had a terrible attitude like he didn’t want to be there and I wasn’t informed how to keep it clean or anything. Just told I couldn’t change it out until 3 months … good thing google works wonders in letting me know what to do.

Fantastic experience: i’ve been to Fat Kat over a dozen times for myself and have brought 5 of my friends here for their piercings. I can not recommend it enough, Misty is incredibly professional and very sweet. As long as she is working and I am getting piercings she is the only one I will go to. Chris has done three of my piercings as well and is also incredibly professional and very good at what he does. I have heard horror stories a from my family about certain piercing experiences and I have never experienced anything remotely negative at this shop.

Negative experience: Me and my friends went in for nose rings, they did the one on the side of the nostril while I did the septum. Mine was ABSOLUTELY botched and crooked as could be and the lady decided to switch it from a horse shoe to a solid ring (tinier might I add) after blaming my nose shape for being the problem so I had to go get it removed less then an hour of going there because of the swelling COVERING the tiny ring. I went to another tattoo shop and second opinion the piercing and said it wasn’t my nose like the woman from Fat Kat tried to blame and said it was completely the piercers fault. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the woman did amazing for my friends and was gentle with me while I was highly worried.

Negative experience: Was really disappointed in my most recent experience here, i have been a customer here for 3 years and always had a good time , but this last time we had called around 8pm and asked if they had any availability and they said yes they’re open til 12 and to come on in. We drive 45 minutes to fat kat and upon walking in , we are told they’re too tired to tattoo anymore and since it’s almost 9 they need to close up the shop. This seemed weird since they were still open for 3 hours and we were looking for small, not detailed tattoos. They sent us on our way and proceeded to continue smoking outside. We then went to inkstainz and had the best experience with them. I’d recommend them to anyone. Won’t be returning because of this unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: I had two high nostril piercings done by Misty a few weeks ago and they look so nice! I was wanting them for quite some time and finally just went for it. The whole process was quick, clean, and professional. My new piercings ended up swelling a bit more than anticipated and Misty was kind enough to help switch out the jewelry a day or two later to flat backs which was awesome! They've healed so nicely so far and I'm so happy with how they look. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Today, I took my eldest daughter to get any piercing she wanted for her birthday. Today we met Misty, and she was wonderful. She explained all the important health information, cleaning techniques, and when would be the best time to change the piercing, and which type of nose ring would be most comfortable when my daughter was past her healing period. On top of all of that, Misty was sweet and funny, very excited for my daughter's new piercing. When we come back (because we will be), we want Misty to do the work.

Negative experience: We went in just to get a couple 3/8 diameter 16g titanium hoops for lobes (existing piercing) and the price somehow came out to $73 dollars!?? Not sure why they were so much and we weren’t offered a breakdown.

Fantastic experience: I came into the shop to have my nose rings replaced and closed after my MRI, and Misty was the one who helped me. She was very kind, courteous, and patient the whole time, and made the process quick and comfortable. She even helped me pick out a new navel ring, which I love. Highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: For my daughters' 17th birthday present, we took her here. They were EXCEPTIONAL!! My daughter was nervous at first but the staff made her feel comfortable and had her laughing. Thank you for giving my teenager the present she wanted and making her day!! She said you are her "go to" for any other piercing(s) in the future. Great prices and great staff!!

Fantastic experience: Misty did an amazing job with my ear piercings. Her piercings were perfect based on the aftercare directions she provided me with after the piercings were done. She was very gentle and reassuring before during and after the procedure. Honestly she is the only piercer I have ever met that was completely honest about which piercings were appropriate and not appropriate based upon my anatomy. I will never go anywhere else or to anyone else for my piercing needs.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE MISTY DAWN!! I came here originally before for a regular nose piercing she convinced me to get a septum and I LOVE IT ! Fast forward I ended up removing it but she was able to put it right back in for me with no issues and without getting it re pierced !

Fantastic experience: I have gotten a belly button piercing and just recently got a tongue piercing here. The place offered Great service and got me in and out fast.I have had the same male piercer and he has been nothing short of amazing, both of my piercing took no time and explained the after care shortly after. I had a painless process with both my belly button and tongue piercing nor have my piercings rejected. This place is also one of the more affordable spots.

Fantastic experience: Back in February, I got a belly button piercing and jewelry change (nose & ears), and I am very satisfied with my experience there. My belly button healed nicely, and I am impressed with the quality of their jewelry. I felt comfortable the entire time I was there. I will definitely come back for more ear piercings.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. 0 stars. Nothing worse than men who think women are dumb and treat them as such- especially when getting services rendered. Brought someone with me and even that person said it was a good thing we left! The gentleman questioned my own ability/knowledge to know where I got what piercings... on my body!! He was very unsettling to say the least about putting my tongue ring in- Then, because I didn't want to get hurt- asked him to just put my nose ring. THE MAN TOOK THE SAME GAUAGE HE TRIED TO USE IN MY MOUTH ON MY TONGUE , AND IMMEDIATELY put it in the hole in my nose that was very much open and did not need that! I told the gentleman from the jump, that all of my piercings were very much healed, and has never required additional assistance. THE ONLY reason I went to a shop is because I have long nails and never have the ability to put things back in. 0/10 would NEVER recommend

Fantastic experience: My wife and I came to Fat Kat last year for Mother’s Day to get our noses pierced together. We had such a great experience with the staff that we decided to come back this year for our hoops and bling. Like the first time, they did not disappoint. Misty was attentive, relatable, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She helped us pick out our rings and then put them in for us. She also pieced my wife ears back in 22”. Fantastic experience: i had got 3 piercings done here and my sister had gotten 1 each with different employees, they were overall good and memorable experience. i had gotten a pixie stick after the one i just got today, it really made my day. its also very fast process and they each time give me a run down on what i need to do and thats what i really like.

Negative experience: I went to go get my snake bites ball replaced and she was amazing! She sent me to the young man by the front for a consultation on a tattoo I wanted to add. First of all his body language and response seemed like he didn’t want to be there! I explained what I wanted and literally said no to everything I wanted and said it wasn’t possible and also wanted a touch up on a old piece I have on my thigh and he literally said we can only touch up the black because the color won’t stick on dark skin. Um if I’m not mistaken if you have the RIGHT INK it will show. Wanted a smaller size No, wanted it as an add on No, wanted a color touchup No, so you know what I’ll bring my money elsewhere! All my piercings and tattoos are from this location. Never again will I come back!

Negative experience: I visited this place on my mini vacation and wanted to change out my jewelry well it cost me $131.00 and the balls off my jewelry have come off . Very disappointing because I live five hours away and now have to pay someone else to redo a job I just paid them to do. Just over rated and not one time did she take the time to clean any areas before changing any of the jewelry out.

Fantastic experience: I came to Fat Kat Tattoo for my third tattoo, and it was hands down the best experience I've had yet! I already knew exactly what I wanted, so I brought a mockup with me to my consultation. Kaitlyn was incredibly kind, patient, and collaborative--she worked with me to fine-tune the design until it was perfect. My previous tattoos were all done by men, and this time I really wanted to work with a female artist. Kaitlyn exceeded my expectations. She's a true artist with a steady hand and a thoughtful approach. The studio itself is in a great location with plenty of parking, and the entire staff was welcoming and friendly. I felt completely comfortable throughout the process. The after care instructions were posted above the mirror, and I left feeling confident about how to take care of my new ink. A day later, when my tattoo tape started to leak, I called the shop and they provided calm, clear, and helpful instructions--no stress at all. Nearly a week later, the tattoo is healing beautifully and looks amazing. The pricing was fair, checkout was a breeze, and I'm already planning my next piece--with Kaitlyn, of course! Fat Kat Tattoo truly delivers an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: i got my septum and helix pierced and it was an amazing experience!! i dont remember the ladys name, but she had blonde hair and was super nice. the piercings barely hurt at all (could be because i have a lot of them lol) and the place was so clean and homey. definitely gonna go back for more.

Negative experience: Every single employee in that building was very unwelcoming and extremely rude. The receptionist made a very rude comment when we walked in asking if my friend with social anxiety can “speak for herself” in a very condescending tone. When the piercer took our friend back in the room we asked if we could come with her and he rudely declined. Our friend asked for a different placement of the marker for her piercing and he became very bothered and impatient, even though she was a paying customer. No idea how this place has 5 stars, do not recommend. Hope this helps!

Fantastic experience: I came here to get a navel piercing and I was nervous because I only had my ears pierced before. Misty was calm and gentle. She gave me a stress ball to hold, and talked me through all the steps. I love how it turned out!

Negative experience: I wanted simple line work added to a tattoo I already had. Scheduled two weeks prior to appointment and communicated what I wanted to artist beforehand. At the end of the less than 40 minute session was told the charge would be $200. No shading, no colors, no re-working, nothing except adding lines to a flower tattoo I already had. Was told the shop minimum was $100 AFTER the tattoo was done which I was totally fine with but then the artist added an additional $100 for I'm guess his own personal time and materials - I’m not sure how that works. He lowered the price to $175 after I asked why the cost was so high which tells me that he knew his pricing was pretty extreme. I probably won’t go back simply because I wasn’t given any warning beforehand of the cost I would have to pay for a short session and simple line work. I guess I shouldn’t expect that kind of communication from a basic tattoo artist. I was just wanting to enhance a tattoo I already had. Had I known his cost I wouldn't have wasted his time! This whole interaction made me feel icky. I’ve been going here for years and because of my most recent experience I probably won’t come back. Edit: I said that no one told me the pricing until after and it’s spelled lose not loose lol

Fantastic experience: It was my first time getting pierced and the Set up process for my Appointment online which was easy and fast. The people were very nice there, I met Chris and misty. I was pierced by misty I believe and she was very informative on the aftercare process and how to avoid any issues with the piercing which I loved. Highly recommend coming here if it's your first time getting pierced or a piercing in general. This was nice and sanitized which is also a good sign. I will be coming back to probably get a belly piercing or Medusa! I spent $52.50 ❤️❤️

I was so nervous about my septum, and she was so gentle, calm, and she let me hold her heat shaped stress ball to help get me through it. 100% recommend this shop for piercings! Negative experience: I got my nipples done here 4 years ago by Misty, didn't start having problems until recently. Went to a different piercer & found out that the jewelry that Fat Kats pierced me with was stainless steel externally thredded trash. Find a different piercer who is APP certified & go there instead.

Fantastic experience: I have to say this place is great! I went in not sure if my piercing was going to work. I suffer with bad migraines and the guy that pierced it was very sweet. He recommended me getting my daith pierced and it worked. No more migraines again! So thank you for recommending me that. I was getting something else pierced and I'm glad i listened to him. Then i couldn't get my earring in and the lady upfront helped me. Every one here is very sweet. I will definitely be coming back here for my tattoos and piercings. Highly recommend them to everyone! Fantastic experience: Both of my piercing experiences here have been amazing! I had my nostril done, and staff was very professional and explained aftercare well. Then, Misty did an amazing job with my septum piercing and helped me out months later when the ball fell off. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: I went to get my nipples and belly button pierced last night and Chris was the guy who did mine he was super professional and explained how to clean my piercings really well and how long it would take to heal. I got a little nauseous and dizzy after the nipple piercings but they were quick to get me something to drink and then I did my belly button piercing right after. It was fast and not super painful. I got to take the little covers off this morning to wash my piercings and they look absolutely beautiful. They’re so symmetrical and I feel super confident. Thank you Chris
